“My goal is not to chase a balanced budget just for the sake of balance,” he said to ABC News. “My goal is how do we grow the economy, put people back to work, and if we do that we are going to be bringing in more revenue.”

Aka, screw balancing a Budget I just want more tax money to Spend!
WHEN IN DEBT SPEND EVEN MORE!

“We’re not gonna balance the budget in 10 years,”

Not after what you’ve done to it! so why bother. Let’s just raise taxes so I can spend even more!

Mr. Obama said. “If you look at what Paul Ryan does to balance the budget, it means that you have to voucher-ize Medicare, you have to slash deeply into programs like Medicaid.”

Grandma off a cliff. Grandma eating dog food. Killing Old People. Heard it all before…

Mr. Obama also said Mr. Ryan’s budget called for higher taxes on the middle class.

You’ve already done that, Mr. President.

Mr. Ryan has claimed his budget plan is balanced — and that it accomplished fiscal solvency without raising taxes.

And, of course, we can’t have that without more Class Warfare, Taxes, and More Spending!!!  Same old…Same old…

The “Education” president

John Harrison was halfway to a bachelor’s degree but financially strapped when Marine recruiters began calling him in 2007.

His wife, Amanda Harrison, recalls their pitches: “Hey, there’s all these different ways to finish your degree and you don’t have to go into a lot of debt to do it.”

That was perhaps true until last week, when the Marines told Sgt. Harrison, 26, that his college tuition would no longer be paid.

“I was furious,” Amanda said. “So many of us cannot afford to pay out-of-pocket for our service members to go to school.”

The Army, Air Force and Coast Guard followed suit by also suspending tuition assistance to tens of thousands of active-duty troops. A Navy spokesman told Yahoo News on Wednesday that possible changes to its tuition program would be announced by the end of the week.

The plans reimburse service members $250 per semester hour, up to $4,500 a year, for off-duty college tuition.

The military immediately blamed $85 billion in sequestration spending cuts that went into effect March 1.

Well, they are psychopaths (PTSD) with guns after all… Darn that evil sequestion.
Bit at least it hasn’t deterred The President Golf Game!
“The Secret Service told us that the tours cost $74,000 a week. How much is it going to cost for the President to travel later this week to Illinois? <to play golf>” Karl (ABC News) asked.
“How much does it cost for him to go and play golf?” Karl followed up.
No answer.
Fascinating.
Meanwhile, the People (and school children) can’t tour the The White House.
It’s good to Be The King…

The Obama administration said Thursday it had rearrested and brought back four of the most dangerous immigrants it released from detention last month in the run-up to the budget sequestration.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director John Morton testified to Congress that his agency released 10 “level one” offenders, and has gone out and apprehended four of them. He said the other six are nonviolent.

Mr. Morton also acknowledged that overall, 2,228 immigrants were released — far more than the several hundred the agency had initially acknowledged. Of those, 629 had criminal records, though Mr. Morton said they were low-level offenders. (WT)

Gee, that makes me feel so much better… 🙂

“Today’s ICE testimony directly contradicts repeated assurances and explanations peddled by the Obama administration in the days after the mass release of illegal aliens became public knowledge,” said Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer. “The American people were initially told there were hundreds, not thousands, of individuals released. We were assured they were low-level detainees of little public risk. As we now know, neither of these claims was accurate.”

Another petulant scare tactic gone wrong.

But Mr. Morton said he made the choice on his own without any input from the White House or Ms. Napolitano. Still, he was unable to give many of the exact figures members have demanded to know.

Sen. John Cornyn, Texas Republican and one of those who wrote demanding answers, said Mr. Morton didn’t clear up very much.

“Why was the secretary of Homeland Security not aware of the release of convicted criminals by her own agency? Why did she tell us it was only hundreds who were released when we now learn it was thousands?” he said. “This is evidence of serious mismanagement at DHS under Secretary Napolitano.”

Shades of Fast & Furious…Fascinating…Deniability Cover?

The agency said the decision to release immigrants from custody was partly because of sequestration, but also because it had been detaining more people in the first half of the fiscal year, and had to slow down its pace to fit within its budget.

ICE is funded to detain an average of 34,000 immigrants at any one time but had been detaining up to 36,000 in the early months of the fiscal year, which Mr. Morton said meant they were always going to have to cut the number of people they were holding. (WT)

Gee, I thought Illegal Immigration was down… 🙂
Why would detention be up? Unless those “non-violent”  “low-level” unmonitored Illegals were committing more crimes… 🙂

So if you don’t let us Tax you even more and Spend Even more Bad things will happen!

NEXT: ObamaCare

Some Americans could see their insurance bills double next year as the health care overhaul law expands coverage to millions of people. The nation’s big health insurers say they expect premiums — or the cost for insurance coverage — to rise from 20 to 100 percent for millions of people due to changes that will occur when key provisions of the Affordable Care Act roll out in January 2014. Mark Bertolini, CEO of Aetna Inc., one of the nation’s largest insurers, calls the price hikes “premium rate shock.” “We’ve done all the math, we’ve shared it with all the regulators, we’ve shared it with all the people in Washington that need to see it, and I think it’s a big concern,” Bertolini said during the company’s annual meeting with investors in December. To be sure, there will be no across-the-board rate hikes for everyone, and there’s no reliable national data on how many people could see increases.

But the biggest price hikes are expected to hit a group that represents a relatively small slice of the insured population. That includes some of the roughly 14 million people who buy their own insurance as opposed to being covered under employer-sponsored plans, and to a lesser extent, some employees of smaller companies. The price increases are a downside of President Barack Obama’s health care law, which is expected to expand coverage to nearly 30 million uninsured people. The massive law calls for a number of changes that could cause premiums for people who don’t have coverage through a big employer to rise next year — at a time when health care costs already are expected to grow by 5 percent or more.
Throughout the healthcare debate (and his first campaign), President Obama promised that premiums would fall by an average of $2,500 annually per family.  He also pledged that overall healthcare costs would decline, not increase. Wrong, and wrong.  There’s a reason why Republicans are still fighting like hell to repeal and defund this monstrosity.   The Associated Press runs through a few of the reasons behind the looming cost spikes:

— Changes to how insurers set premiums according to age and gender could cause some premiums to rise as much as 50 percent, according to America’s Health Insurance Plans, or AHIP, an industry trade group that’s funded by insurers.

— A new tax on premiums could raise prices as much as 2.3 percent in 2014 and more in subsequent years, according to a study commissioned by AHIP. Policyholders with plans that end in 2014 probably have already seen an impact from this.

— Requirements that insurance plans in many cases cover more health care or pay a greater share of a patient’s bill than they do now also could add to premiums, depending on the extent of a person’s current coverage, according AHIP.
While we’re at it, let’s address two more shattered promises of Obamacare.  (1) Remember “if you like your plan, you can keep it?”  The Obama administration has announced it’s taking an even bigger meat cleaver to the popular Medicare Advantage program than first anticipated. Democrats attack the Republican budget for “cutting Medicare on the backs of seniors” because the proposal includes a bipartisan reform plan for future seniors.  Democrats have already sliced $716 billion from Medicare to pay for Obamacare, and they’re about to slash the popular Medicare Advantage for millions of current seniors.  (2) In spite of the president’s “not a single dime” deficit pledge, the nonpartisan GAO estimates that Obamacare will add $6.2 trillion to our long term deficits.

On a different note: I’m genuinely surprised it took this long.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck: ‘The View’ co-host fired for being too ‘right-wing,’ report says

Mrs. Hasselbeck, who continually battles the four other left-leaning women on the show, reportedly is too “right-wing” for the audience.

“The viewers they polled all said she was too extreme and right-wing,” a show insider told UsMagazine.com Friday. “People did not watch the show because of Elisabeth. So they told her yesterday her contract would not be renewed.”

It was not reported who will be taking her place.

Then Barbara Walters come out and denies it.

Miss Walters denied the report on Monday, telling viewers “we have no plans for Elisabeth to leave the show.” (WT)

“Having said that to all of you, [executive producer Bill Geddie] and I have always said that when one of you make the choice to leave, that’s your choice, and we will support your decision,”

Which is Showbiz for “Don’t let the Door hit you in the ass while we throw you out nicely and kill you will faint praise.” You make the decision to leap off the cliff so we don’t have to push you.

It looks better that way, darling, FOR YOU.

So it’s now just the “The View” from the Extreme Left. Gee, what took them so long. 🙂
So don’t “obstruct” us or Else it will get much worse for you! We’ll see to it!

Indy’s Top 25 List

Inspired by Obama’s appearance on David Letterman.

Political Cartoons by Eric Allie

Please stop me when I get to the Bad stuff about Obama’s 4 years:

1. a Net loss of 1.3 million jobs overall.

2. Higher inflation due to devaluing of the dollar.

3. ANNUAL budget deficits in excess of a Trillion Dollars.

4. 15 million more people on Food Stamps.

5. More People than ever on Social Security Disability

6. Unemployment rate over 8% since February 2009. (the real one-U6- over 11%)

7. No Federal Budget since April 2009. $6 Trillion in NEW Debt.

8. Our Ambassador in Libya is killed and he’s still going on about an irrelevant film. Even though the evidence that it was a terrorist attack is overwhelming. But “the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam” according ton Obama in front of the UN.

9. More violent Illegal Aliens crossing the border because this administration is openly unwilling to do anything about it.

10. Fast & Furious

11. Health Care cost continue to rise even higher than they would have without Obamacare. And Obamacare is now going to cost 3 times as much as originally “promised” and it is even fully implemented yet.

12. Oh, yeah, it’s all Bush’s/Republicans/Christians/Rich people’s/Business’s Fault!

13. Totally unconcerned about Taxmageddon coming January 1st, 2013. Let alone the ObamaCare TAX.

14. Drones in US cities.

15. Let’s not meet with world leaders because we have opportunities to appear on David Letterman and The View.

16. Executive Fiats are the order of the day. Don’t get what you want, just go around the process. It’s good to be the King.

17. The Mom-In-Chief Michelle Obama will run your diet for you because you’re a moron. Mother Knows Best.

18. Nancy Pelosi: According to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Republicans are trying “suffocate the airwaves, suppress the vote, poison the debate, [so] people throw up their hands and say, ‘I just don’t even know if I want to participate in this.'” But, “we have to keep the campaign positive.”
🙂 And Nancy can’t be wrong, right?

19.  The Middle Class are NOT better off than they were 4 years ago when everything crashed.

Since the economic recovery started in June 2009, household incomes are down 5.7%, the Sentier data show, and they are down more than 8% since Obama took office. (IBD) But that’s Bush’s Fault! :)Four years later, with Obama running for re-election, it’s time to ask Americans: How’s that  Hope & change workin’ out for you?

20. First, the Congressional Budget Office released a detailed report on Obama’s massive electric car program. Its conclusion: The money “will have little or no impact on the total gasoline use and greenhouse gas emissions of the nation’s vehicle fleet over the next several years.”It also found that, even with the $7,500 tax credits, electric cars are a bad buy, costing owners far more over the life of the car than traditional gas-powered vehicles.Translation: Obama’s electric car subsidies are a complete and total waste of money. (IBD)The Chevy Volt (“ObamaCar”) loses $49,000 every time you sell one. Doesn’t that just say it all.
21. Over $500 Million wasted on Solar Power pie-in-the-sky. Solyndra, Ener 1, Beacon Power,Abound Solar, Amonix Solar,Spectra Watt, Eastern Energy, etc. all bankrupt all cost taxpayers money.
22. Inspirational Speeches23. If you disagree with a Liberal, choose one of the following: a) you’re a racist b) a moron c) you are in the pocket of rich people d) you want rich people to rape you blind.

24. Oh, yes, and the Immortal “YOU DIDN’T BUILD THAT!”
25. Fifty-five percent of small business owners and manufacturers would not have started their businesses in today’s economy, according to a new poll that also reports 69 percent say President Obama’s regulatory policies have hurt their businesses.“There is far too much uncertainty, too many burdensome regulations and too few policymakers willing to put aside their egos and fulfill their responsibilities to the American people,” said Jay Timmons, president of the National Association of Manufacturers, which commissioned the poll along with the National Federation of Independent Businesses. “To fix this problem, we need immediate action on pro-growth tax and regulatory policies that put manufacturers in the United States in a position to compete and succeed in an ever-more competitive global economy.” (Examiner)

Rewarding Behavior

Political Cartoons by Bob Gorrell

Eric Posner, on the super-liberal site The Slate: This is that Americans need to learn that the rest of the world—and not just Muslims—see no sense in the First Amendment. Even other Western nations take a more circumspect position on freedom of expression than we do, realizing that often free speech must yield to other values and the need for order.

We have to remember that our First Amendment values are not universal; they emerged contingently from our own political history, a set of cobbled-together compromises among political and ideological factions responding to localized events. As often happens, what starts out as a grudging political settlement has become, when challenged from abroad, a dogmatic principle to be imposed universally. Suddenly, the disparagement of other people and their beliefs is not an unfortunate fact but a positive good. It contributes to the “marketplace of ideas,” as though we would seriously admit that Nazis or terrorist fanatics might turn out to be right after all. Salman Rushdie recently claimed that bad ideas, “like vampires … die in the sunlight” rather than persist in a glamorized underground existence. But bad ideas never die: They are zombies, not vampires. Bad ideas like fascism, Communism, and white supremacy have roamed the countryside of many an open society.

Hot air: The positive good isn’t the disparagement of other people’s beliefs, it’s the freedom to “disparage,” a.k.a. criticize, those beliefs without fear of being locked up by the sensitivity police. Savor the irony of this guy hinting that we should go ahead and criminalize some especially dangerous retrograde ideas while he and a few select others on the left are busy reviving the idea of blasphemy laws to appease violent Islamist fanatics. I’m not sure how closely fascist regimes in the Middle East follow left/right debates in America, but if they do, they have every incentive to burn more buildings and kill more ambassadors in the name of avenging insults to the faith. There’s a small but apparently growing movement on one side of the aisle here that’s ready to hear them out and rebalance free-speech principles against, in Posner’s creepy phrase, “the need for order.”

And the President can’t be bothered to meet with these world leader, he has to do “The View”!

“I don’t care how offensive this video was, and it was terribly offensive. And we should shun it. But there’s never an excuse for violence, never an excuse for attacking embassies, never an excuse for killing innocent people, or assaulting our diplomats. In the age of the Internet, and you know, the way that any knucklehead who says something can post it up and suddenly it travels all around the world, you know, every country has to recognize that, you know, the best way to marginalize that kind of speech is to ignore it.”

The clip, though it aired today, was filmed yesterday in New York City. Today, however, the president did not ignore the video.

Instead, President Obama suggested a link between the video and the violence. “[A] crude and disgusting video sparked outrage throughout the Muslim world.  Now, I have made it clear that the United States government had nothing to do with this video, and I believe its message must be rejected by all who respect our common humanity,” said Obama.

“It is an insult not only to Muslims, but to America as well — for as the city outside these walls makes clear, we are a country that has welcomed people of every race and every faith.  We are home to Muslims who worship across our country.  We not only respect the freedom of religion, we have laws that protect individuals from being harmed because of how they look or what they believe.  We understand why people take offense to this video because millions of our citizens are among them.

…a fine idea that I would take more seriously if he had mentioned it before the movie was condemned by the Cairo embassy, blamed for the Benghazi attack by Susan Rice, apologized for by the State Department via TV ads in Pakistan, and then discussed at length by The One himself in his UN speech today. Scrambling to denounce the film the way the administration did made it that much more lucrative a pretext for Islamists to exploit; the U.S. government can’t ban the film, but attack an embassy or two and by golly they’ll fall all over themselves to reassure you that it’s a wicked, awful, evil piece of expression.

Even the Libyan President doesn’t buy the whole film meme:

In an exclusive interview with NBC News’ Ann Curry, President Mohamed Magarief discounted claims that the attack was in response to a movie produced in California and available on YouTube. He noted that the assault happened on Sept. 11 and that the video had been available for months before that.

“Reaction should have been, if it was genuine, should have been six months earlier. So it was postponed until the 11th of September,” he said. “They chose this date, 11th of September to carry a certain message.”

“It’s a pre-planned act of terrorism,” he said, adding that the anti-Islam film had “nothing to do with this attack.”

DUH!
Even though the Administration has admitted it was terrorist attack they can’t admit to themselves because in paralytic Orwellian liberal reflex they just can’t stop talking about this insignificant video. Their view of reality doesn’t include THEM being attacked. Because they are so morally superior in their multicultural, politically correct, Orwellian “free speech” and are so sensitive that they can’t possible be the problem.

It’s NOT THE VIDEO STUPID! But liberal can’t get past their politically correct mindset. It has to be the video. It can’t be…GASP!…horror! THEIR FAULT!

In no way can that possibly be. Liberals are perfect. They are never at fault for anything. They are far too superior to you mere grubby little people for that!

So the answer is to be even less tolerant and to control people even more. 🙂

As Eugene Volokh recently pointed out, “Behavior that gets rewarded, gets repeated.” If all it takes to earn a White House call for global condemnation of a single piece of expression is some violent protests outside a dozen or two diplomatic missions, then the perpetually aggrieved know exactly what to do the next time they pluck out some bit of cultural detritus to be offended by.

It is not any politician’s job, and certainly not any American politician’s job, to instruct the entire world on which films to criticize.

And Liberals love to reward bad behavior. Especially bad behavior that favors them politically.

Like government dependence. Entitlement greed. Union thuggery. Voter Fraud. Class Warfare. Envy. Childishness. Narcissism.

So they get rewarded for their Class Warfare, “throwing grandma off a cliff” rhetoric. So they repeat it.

And if they get defeated, like 2010, they just come back even more determined. Even more insane.

They want it even more. They don’t learn from their mistakes. They just keep making them because they pay off in very unhealthy ways.

They are addicted to them.

So they can’t stop themselves. And they just get worse and worse.

And so does everything else!

But it’s not their fault! Just ask them. 🙂

I Can See Liberal Insanity From My House!

This ditty would be unbelievable if you were are a sane, rational person, but we are talking about The Left: (kfyi.com)

Teaching “Kids” Graffiti to Protest SB1070

Unbelievable! I’m not sure what I’m more flabbergasted by:

1) That they would teach kids to use graffiti to protest;
2) That the YWCA thinks a class mixing 13 and 24 year old “kids” is a good idea;

3) That the YWCA has a “Racial Justice Director.”

So I wonder how many of the graduates of this course are down by the Madison street jail chaining themselves to Jail??

But don’t worry, And no indoctrination was applied.

It wasn’t “biased” and it was “fair”. 🙂

At a demonstration Wednesday in Mexico City against Arizona's law. ASSOCIATED PRESSAt a demonstration Wednesday in Mexico City against Arizona’s law. ASSOCIATED PRESS

Mexico’s government gloated triumphantly after a federal judge’s injunction blocked Arizona’s immigration law. But it’s no victory for Mexico. In fact, Mexico’s leaders ought to be mortified.

As radical immigration activists crowed with glee and the Obama administration claimed victory, Mexico’s government joined the applause.

Calling Judge Susan Bolton’s injunction Wednesday “a step in the right direction,” Mexican Foreign Minister Patricia Espinosa declared: “The government of Mexico would like to express its recognition for the determination demonstrated by the federal government of the United States and the actions of the civil organizations that organized lawsuits against the SB 1070 law.”

First, Mexico encourages illegal immigration to the U.S. Oh, it says it doesn’t, but it prints comic book guides for would-be illegal immigrants and provides ID cards for illegals once they get here. In Arizona alone, Mexico keeps five consulates busy.

That’s not out of love for its own citizens, but because Mexicans send cash back to Mexico that helps finance the government.

Instead of selling its wasteful state-owned oil company or getting rid of red tape to create jobs in Mexico, Mexico spends the hard currency from remittances. It fails to look at why its citizens leave.

According to the Heritage Foundation-Wall Street Journal 2010 Index of Economic Freedom, Mexico’s big problem is — no shock — government corruption, where it ranks below the world average.

That’s where Mexico’s cartels come in.

Mexico’s encouragement of illegal immigration undercuts its valiant war against its smuggling cartels. The cartels’ prowess and firepower have made them the only ones who can smuggle effectively across the border. U.S. law enforcers say they now control human-smuggling on our southern border.

Feed them immigrants and they grow more cash-rich — and right now, immigrant smuggling is about a third of the cartels’ income. (IBD)

And the remittance payments have to continue so it’s not in the government’s interest to REALLY do something.

But we, the ones who are against illegal immigration are the racists and the nazis! 🙂

***********************************

Imagine this being said by ANYONE other than a Liberal:

President Obama waded into the national race debate in an unlikely setting and with an unusual choice of words: telling daytime talk show hosts that African-Americans are “sort of a mongrel people.”

The president appeared on ABC’s morning talk show “The View” Thursday, where he talked about the forced resignation of Agriculture Department official Shirley Sherrod, his experience with race and his roots.

When asked about his background, which includes a black father and white mother, Obama said of African-Americans: “We are sort of a mongrel people.”

“I mean we’re all kinds of mixed up,” Obama said. “That’s actually true of white people as well, but we just know more about it.”

Obama noted “there’s still a reptilian side of our brain” that leads people to not trust others “if somebody sounds different or looks different.”

But we, crackers, are the the racists!!! 🙂

*******************

This, also from the View, is hilarious : “My hope is that I’ve tried to set a tone in the debate that says, ‘Look, we can disagree without being disagreeable,'” Obama said.

Bwah Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

And I’m sure in his own mind he believes it. Cognitive Dissonance is rampant of the Left.

Another “hope” crushed. 🙂

So we need change in November. 🙂
