Togetherness

“America’s not just looking out for yourself, it’s not just about greed, it’s not just about trying to climb to the very top and keep everybody else down,” (say the guy who has had 100 fundraisers since declaring his re-election bid – Twice as many as the Evil Bush did in 2004) Obama said at the UAW’s annual National Community Action Program Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C.

Instead, Obama – who climbed to the very top of American politics just three years ago – said that instead America was about being “all in it together,” and giving people “a hand up.”

“When our assembly lines grind to a halt, we work together, and we get them going again,” he said. “When somebody else falters, we try to give them a hand up, because we know [that] we’re all in it together.”

So when the UAW goes on strike because they just wanna screw GM (and the others) for more money it’s not about “greed” it’s about “being together”.

So in 1976, when the UAW in Michigan (where I grew up) went on strike because they were only making $28/hr back then and stay out  until they got paid even more, it wasn’t about “greed” and power. It was about “togetherness”. 🙂

Obama also attacked critics of his bailout policies who say that saving failed companies does not reflect traditional American values.

Bailing out The UAW (in the guise of GM who now has a Obama kiss ass for a boss – “Jobs Czar” Jeffrey Imhelt – who is not an evil rich Corporate CEO even though GM paid no taxes in the US last year) was essential to his “togetherness”.

Bailing out the Big Banks with their evil rich CEOs that the left hates was “togetherness”.

Solyndra , Abound Solar, Light Squared and other “green” companies being given almost a Trillion in government grants only to go belly up a year later is “togetherness” not agenda politics.

The Over 8% unemployment for MORE THAN 3 years is an “improving economy” that we all shared in.

And 3 different Obama Administration have said unemployment is a “stimulus” for the economy so all those people out of work are all in it “together”.

“I keep on hearing these same folks talk about values all the time. You want to talk about values? Hard work, that’s a value. (just don’t work TOO HARD or you’ll be “greedy” and “rich” and thus an evil SOB- unless you’re donating $38,500 a person to Obama’s Re-election campaign that is) Looking out for one another, that’s a value. The idea that we’re all in it together and [that] I’m my brother’s keeper and [my] sister’s keeper, that’s a value,” Obama declared.

Yes, Comrade, it is a value. 🙂

Wall Streeters are evil according to the left’s favorite sons- The Occupoopers. But when the Dow (aka Wall Street) hits 13,000 and the “rich” on Wall Street get richer that’s a good thing for everyone and not a massive hypocrisy and double standard for your Class Warfare rhetoric.

Forget the modest 3.1 percent rise in the Consumer Price Index, the government’s widely used measure of inflation. Everyday prices are up some 8 percent over the past year, according to the American Institute for Economic Research.

Forget the $4 and $5 gas prices that made the Democrats scream Armageddon is coming when Bush was President. Now, we share in the knowledge that it’s not the President’s fault when he’s a Democrat. 🙂

And saying no to virtually everything else other than Solyndra and it’s kin, including the Keystone XL pipeline and the degree of oil independence and jobs it would have brought is a shared sacrifice to environmentalist fringe “good”.

Motor fuel and transportation costs are up 21.06 percent from year-ago levels. The cost of food, prescription drugs, and tobacco also have increased faster than the government’s inflation measure, rising 3.56 percent, 4.21 percent, and 3.4 percent, respectively.

On the bright side, prices of household fuel (natural gas and electricity) and supplies have increased only 2.74 percent; recreation and personal care products are up less than 1 percent; and telephone or Internet services are down 0.66 percent.

Just one month from today, Japan will lower their corporate income tax rate from 39.5 to 35 percent . When they do so, the United States will officially have the dubious distinction of possessing the highest corporate income tax rate in the developed world, a federal/state integrated rate of 39.2 percent.

To put that in perspective, the average in the developed world is only 25 percent. Our six major trading partners–Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, and France–will all have a lower rate than we will have. As a result, capital and jobs will continue to flow overseas, rather than staying here to create jobs, increase wages, fund pensions, invest in new business, or grow nest eggs.

President Obama last month proposed a plan to raise net taxes, but in the process lower the U.S. corporate rate to about 32 percent. That simply isn’t worth it. In exchange for a jobs-killing net tax hike, the Obama plan would still leave us with a tax rate higher than the OECD average, and higher than all our major trading partners except Japan and France.(KFYI)

So the Federal government isn’t “greedy” (wanting higher taxes than anyone) they just want everyone to suffer TOGETHER. 🙂

And ObamaCare:

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius told a House panel Thursday that a reduction in the number of human beings born in the United States will compensate employers and insurers for the cost of complying with  the new HHS mandate that will require all health-care plans to cover sterilizations and all FDA-approved contraceptives, including those that cause abortions.

“The reduction in the number of pregnancies compensates for the cost of contraception,” Sebelius said. She went on to say the estimated cost is “down not up.”

So to keep costs down, stop having babies!!

During the subcommittee hearing, Rep. Tim Murphy (R-Pa.) said that contraception provided by insurance companies to people employed by religious organizations under the future form of the rule Sebelius described would not be was not free.

“Who pays for it? There’s no such thing as a free service,” Murphy asked.

Sebelius responded that that is not the case with insurance.

“The reduction in the number of pregnancies compensates for cost of contraception,” Sebelius answered.

Murphy expressed surprise by the answer.

“So you are saying, by not having babies born, we are going to save money on health care?” Murphy asked.

Sebelius replied, “Providing contraception is a critical preventive health benefit for women and for their children.”

Murphy again sought clarification.

“Not having babies born is a critical benefit. This is absolutely amazing to me. I yield back,” he said.

Sebelius responded, “Family planning is a critical health benefit in this country, according to the Institute of Medicine.”

Rep. Brett Guthrie (R-Ky.), a member of the subcommittee, said after the hearing that if mandating contraception saves money there shouldn’t be a need for a mandate.

“Their argument is this: Health insurance companies will offer it for free because they make money. You reduce the number of people getting pregnant therefore you reduce the cost of pregnancy, or low birth weight pregnancies or other kind of pregnancies,” Guthrie told CNSNews.com.

“If you think about it, why don’t health insurance companies provide it now if the argument is health insurance companies are going to make a lot of money? If the health insurance companies were really acting in their own best interest, they would be giving these pills out for free, if it really saved money,” Guthrie added.

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said on Nov. 14, 2011 that $1 billion in health care grants were a way of ‘sparking’ the U.S. economy.

So to keep costs down, stop having kids! (thus having less people to take over from you and to pork you when you get old and demand your “free” ObamaCare).

Anyone see the problem??

Returning to bully business as usual, the Obama campaign launched a brazen salvo against two prominent conservative critics and their legions of private citizen donors.

Let’s be clear (to use Obama’s favorite phrase): This is not just the politics of personal destruction. It’s a vendetta of campaign finance destruction. Under the guise of “disclosure,” Team Obama is exploiting the power of high government office to intimidate lawful, peaceful contributors who support limited-government causes.

In a scathing fundraising e-mail appeal, Obama campaign manager Jim Messina name-checked wealthy free-market philanthropists Charles and David Koch — along with a growing movement of grassroots conservatives who have freely, voluntarily and legally given money to the Koch-founded nonprofit activist group Americans for Prosperity and its sister foundation. As a speaker at several AFP events over the past three years, I’ve met thousands of like-minded, hardworking Americans who support their work at the local, state and federal levels.

“When you attempt to drown out (Americans’) voices through unlimited, secret contributions to pursue a special-interest agenda that conflicts with what’s best for our nation, you must expect some scrutiny of your actions,” Messina railed. (Unlike the Ministry of Truth and his 100+ fundraisers) The threat of scrutiny was backed by Obama himself, whose official campaign Twitter account directed 12 million-plus followers this week to “add your name to demand that the Koch brothers make their donors public.”

But Obama’s own former top officials run a so-called super PAC (Priorities USA) that also maintains nonprofit status and subsidizes advocacy ads while protecting its donor base. The White House, of course, is mum on the unlimited, secret contributions that Obama is now encouraging wealthy liberals and lobbyists to make in pursuit of his own special-interest agenda — i.e., re-election.

The president’s flapping lips are also sealed when it comes to applying his disclosure standards to the shadowy, George Soros-backed Center for American Progress, which has supplied the Obama administration with countless top policy staffers, including special Department of Health and Human Services assistant Michael Halle and HHS Director Jeanne Lambrew, a former senior fellow at the Center for American Progress. CAP founder John Podesta was Obama’s transition chief, overseeing the backroom process of rewarding friends and allies with plum positions. CAP flacks shrugged off conflict-of-interest questions: “We respect the privacy of supporters who have chosen not to make their donations public,” CAP spokeswoman Jennifer Palmieri said.

As for respecting the privacy rights of Obama’s foes? Not so much.

It seems to me no small coincidence that this disclosure charade comes just as numerous tea party organizations are reporting that the Internal Revenue Service has targeted them for audits. According to Colleen Owens of the Richmond (Va.) Tea Party, several fiscal-conservative activist groups in Virginia, Hawaii, Ohio and Texas have received a spate of IRS letters. The missives demand extensive requests to identity volunteers, board members and … donors.

This is B.O.’s M.O. His bully brigade did the same to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and its donors during the November 2010 midterms as payback for the organization’s ads opposing the federal health care takeover. And in 2008, Obama’s allies at a Soros-tied outfit sent out “warning” letters to 10,000 top GOP givers “hoping to create a chilling effect that will dry up contributions.” Witch hunt leader Tom Matzzie, formerly of Soros-funded MoveOn.org, bragged of “going for the jugular” and said the warning letter was just the first step, “alerting donors who might be considering giving to right-wing groups to a variety of potential dangers, including legal trouble, public exposure and watchdog groups digging through their lives.”

Matzzie also advertised a $100,000 bounty for dirt on conservative political groups “to create a sense of scandal around the groups” and dissuade donors from giving money. The effort was cheered by Accountable America adviser Judd Legum, founder of Think Progress — the same group that led the attack on the Chamber of Commerce and is run by Podesta’s Center for American Progress. Just as with the Obama super PAC led by former White House officials, Matzzie’s group “Accountable America” was a 501(c)(4) nonprofit entity that shielded the identity of its donors.

Oh, and remember this? In 2008, St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch and St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, both Obama promoters, threatened to bring criminal libel charges against anyone who spread what they considered “false criticisms” of their Dear Leader.

It is no small exaggeration to conclude that Team Obama’s dead aim is to chill conservative speech and criminalize conservative dissent. All Americans for prosperity must push back with one voice: No, you can’t. (Michelle Malkin)

I guess Hilary was right, It does “take a Village” 🙂

Doubletalk and Doublethink

Keystone Hilarity Update:White House press secretary Jay Carney first says Republicans “forced” President Obama to deny the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline. Later in his press briefing, Carney says Obama didn’t turn down the pipeline.

“In terms of Keystone, as you all know, the history here is pretty clear. And the fact is because Republicans decided to play political with Keystone, their action essentially forced the administration to deny the permit process because they insisted on a time frame in which it was impossible to completely approve the pipeline,” Carney said when asked about the pipeline by ABC News’ Jake Tapper.

Later in the briefing, Carney says it is the Republicans’ fault.

Jake Tapper: “How can you say that you have an all the above on approach if the President turned down the Keystone pipeline? And you blame the Republicans for making it political.”

Carney: “But the President didn’t turn down the Keystone pipeline.”

“There are no magic solutions to rising oil prices,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “The rising gas prices clearly the effect of a variety of factors on the global price of oil,” he told reporters, citing geopolitical unrest and rapid growth in India and China.

President George W. Bush was mostly attacked for wanting to drill too much (or being “cozy” with the oil industry), while President Obama’s policies are rooted in unilaterally shutting down the domestic oil industry amidst rising prices and a struggling economy.

I guess the gas prices have forced the Democrats  to start  to squirm so they have to go to the 2 page playbook– Page 1- It’s the Republicans fault, Page 2- It’s someone else’s fault other than ours.

“It’s Bush’s Fault” Just doesn’t work anymore. Besides they are too busy with “It’s NOT Obama’s Fault” Now.

Bush drew gallons of coverage in 2008. Comparing a 20-day span of rising gas prices in 2008 to 24 days of rising prices in February 2011, the Business & Media Institute found the networks did more than 2 ½ times as many stories during the Bush years versus Obama.

Unrest in the Mideast has hit American consumers hard, driving up gas prices that had already been above $3-a-gallon since Dec. 23. The national average for gasoline hit $3.36 on Feb. 28, the highest ever for the month of February according to The Associated Press. But the amount of network news coverage of rising gas prices did not reflect it.

All three broadcast networks together averaged just one story about rising gas prices per day. In contrast, when gas prices rose similarly in 2008, the networks averaged more than one story, per network, per day.

It took 24 days, from Feb. 1, to Feb. 24 for the national average for unleaded gasoline to climb from $3.101 to 3.228. The last comparable period of “eye-popping” gas prices: the 20 days between Feb. 21, 2008, and March 11, 2008, when the national average climbed from $3.086 to $3.227.

Some 2008 reports including the March 6, 2008, “Early Show” exaggerated the already rising prices by emphasizing extremely high prices. That morning CBS showed viewers a California gas pump that was charging $5.19-a-gallon for regular unleaded before mentioning the national average for that day, which was $2.02 lower. Some 2011 reports have reversed that trend by downplaying the impact of currently high gas prices on consumers by using words like “inching” to describe rising prices, or calling U.S. prices “a bargain compared to Europe.”

The Business & Media Institute examined all the broadcast network news reports mentioning gas prices during each of those time periods and found ABC, CBS and NBC aired more than 2 ½ times more stories (63 stories to 24) in 2008 than they did in 2011. (Newsbusters)

The liberal fascination with developing expensive vehicles that run on electricity doesn’t change that: 1) Solar or wind powered vehicles don’t commercially exist; 2) The cars that do run on electricity, or even battery-powered hybrids still require gas  and 3) the high cost of the alternatively fueled vehicles makes them largely insignificant in the auto market and cost-prohibitive to the average consumer. (Heritage)

But as I said yesterday, the Ministry of Truth has a lot of work to do.

But Obama and Company figure if you’re given no choice ,by refusing to do anything about raising gas prices and actively working against oil companies, you’ll be herded into buy a hybrid or electric car. Exactly what they want you to buy and that it will work, eventually and it’s what “feels” good to them. So it must be better than something they accused Bush of being– “Pro-Oil”.

Just like if they spend even money and tax “the rich” enough it will eventually work.

Just give them more time. 🙂

Get out the Barf Bag Folks:

“We’ve got to have a return to some homespun American values of fair play, shared responsibility. That’s who we are as a people,” President Obama said during a press event on the payroll tax cut extension.

“You know, when times are tough, Americans don’t give up. They push ahead. They do whatever it takes to make their lives better, their communities better, and their countries better. With or without Congress every day I’m going to be continuing to fight with them. I do hope Congress joins me. Instead of spending the coming months in a lot of phony political debates (Like 15 months on ObamaCare Mr President?), focusing on the next election (He’s been doing nothing except that since 2009), I hope that we spend some time focusing on middle-class Americans and those are struggling to get in the middle class (and they are the ones paying $38,500 a person to kiss my ass at events). We have a lot more work to do. Let’s do it,” Obama said. (Yeah, socialism is hard work!) 🙂

And the Weirdest Moment of this year so far:

Today, an election lawyer tipped us off to a Federal Election Commission filing for a brand new super PAC: The Occupy Wall Street Political Action Committee.

The “eat the rich” and kill the Corporate people have the biggest Orwellian Doublethink in history, they are now a PAC, and will take money from “rich” people to defeat them because they are evil.

John Paul Thorton “Chief Principle Minister” of the PAC: We found it a little odd that Thornton, who decries corporate money in politics, is establishing a mechanism for raising unlimited corporate funds. “It does seem counterintuitive,” he said. “I am out to get the bloated amounts of money out of politics but to do that, we need to support candidates looking to do that.”

DOUBLETHINK: To know and not to know, to be conscious of complete truthfulness while telling carefully constructed lies, to hold simultaneously two opinions which cancelled out, knowing them to be contradictory and believing in both of them, to use logic against logic, to repudiate morality while laying claim to it, to believe that democracy was impossible and that the Party was the guardian of democracy, to forget, whatever it was necessary to forget, then to draw it back into memory again at the moment when it was needed, and then promptly to forget it again, and above all, to apply the same process to the process itself — that was the ultimate subtlety; consciously to induce unconsciousness, and then, once again, to become unconscious of the act of hypnosis you had just performed. Even to understand the word ‘doublethink’ involved the use of doublethink.

The world has truly gone insane but you aren’t supposed to notice.

So don’t tell anyone.

As always, should you or any of your I.M. Force be caught or killed, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions.

This Blog will self-destruct in five seconds. Good luck…

Going Global

“We’ve got a choice. We can settle for a country where a few people do really, really well and everybody else struggles to get by”, Obama said.

“Or we can restore an economy where everybody gets a fair shot, everybody does their fair share, everybody plays by the same set of rules, from Washington to Wall Street to Main Street.” (but the 38,500 a person campaign donations from these people doesn’t hurt!)
“We need to get the deficit under control (we need to overspend less!)in a way that builds the economy. We do it in a way that’s consistent with American values so that everyone pays a fair share.”

The Obama budget is being seen on all sides as a partisan document that has little chance of being voted into law.

All out Campaign Mode…

Democrats in the Senate say that they will not bring it up for a vote.

So it’s all for show. And for Liberal Media Consumption and Talking Points.

And the Republicans are rolling over and kissing Liberal ass on the payroll tax because they don’t want “unfavorable” media coverage. 😦

Now, here’s the latest:

On Monday, White House National Economic Council Director Gene Sperling called for a “global minimum tax” to ensure that “nobody is escaping doing their fair share.”
Mr. Sperling added: “we will say more, perhaps not in gory detail, but in more detail, before the end of the month. And in terms of the revenues, the president is looking for shared sacrifice.”

“If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.”  –Ronald Reagan

Americans make up half of the world’s richest 1%

It only takes $34,000 per person to be amid the richest 1% of people in the world. It only takes $34,000 per person to be amid the richest 1% of people in the world.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) — The United States holds a disproportionate amount of the world’s rich people.

It only takes $34,000 a year, after taxes, to be among the richest 1% in the world. That’s for each person living under the same roof, including children. (So a family of four, for example, needs to make $136,000.)

So where do these lucky rich people live? As of 2005 — the most recent data available — about half of them, or 29 million lived in the United States, according to calculations by World Bank economist Branko Milanovic in his book The Haves and the Have-Nots.

Another four million live in Germany. The rest are mainly scattered throughout Europe, Latin America and a few Asian countries. Statistically speaking, none live in Africa, China or India despite those being some of the most populous areas of the world.

The numbers put into perspective the idea of a rapidly growing global middle class.

Sure, China and India are seeing their economies grow quickly, and along with that growth, large portions of their populations are also becoming richer. But remember, the emerging world is starting from a very low base to begin with, so its middle class is just that — still emerging, says Milanovic.

“It doesn’t seem right to define as middle class, people who would be on food stamps in the United States,” Milanovic said.

The true global middle class, falls far short of owning a home, having a car in a driveway, saving for retirement and sending their kids to college. In fact, people at the world’s true middle — as defined by median income — live on just $1,225 a year. (And, yes, Milanovic’s numbers are adjusted to account for different costs of living across the globe.)

In the grand scheme of things, even the poorest 5% of Americans are better off financially than two thirds of the entire world.(CNN)

So with this news our Taxes must crush us to death for the benefit of the rest of the world. We are EVIL INCARNATE! 🙂

The government safety net was created to keep Americans from abject  poverty, but the poorest households no longer receive a majority of  government benefits. A secondary mission has gradually become primary:  maintaining the middle class from childhood through retirement. The  share of benefits flowing to the least affluent households, the bottom  fifth, has declined from 54 percent in 1979 to 36 percent in 2007,  according to a Congressional Budget Office analysis published last year.

The problem by now is familiar to most. Politicians have expanded the  safety net without a commensurate increase in revenues, a primary  reason for the governments annual deficits and mushrooming debt. In  2000, federal and state governments spent about 37 cents on the safety  net from every dollar they collected in revenue, according to a New York  Times analysis. A decade later, after one Medicare expansion, two  recessions and three rounds of tax cuts, spending on the safety net  consumed nearly 66 cents of every dollar of revenue.

The recent recession increased  dependence on government, and stronger economic growth would reduce  demand for programs like unemployment benefits. But the long-term trend  is clear. Over the next 25 years, as the population ages and medical  costs climb, the budget office projects that benefits programs will grow  faster than any other part of government, driving the federal debt to  dangerous heights.

Americans are divided about the way forward. Seventy percent of  respondents to a recent New York Times poll said the government should  raise taxes. Fifty-six percent supported cuts in Medicare and Social  Security. Forty-four percent favored both.

The American public’s dependence on the federal government shot up  23% in just two years under President Obama, with 67 million now relying  on some federal program, according to a newly released study by the  Heritage Foundation.

Now that’s why you want to vote for Obama, right? 🙂

The Throw America Under the Bus Tour

Listen to the reason we are so in the dump:

Political Cartoons by Eric Allie

He just finished his “Listening Tour” of campaign first-up state Iowa and his home state of liberals in Illinois (which some liberals in Minnesota). And I bet you thought it was tour like he said it was, to listen to you….Wrong!

It was a tour to LISTEN TO HIM give more speeches about his disapproval of Republicans (euphemism- “Congress”) and finally his new jobs plan that he will revealed after Labor Day.

So, Obama has YET ANOTHER new plan for “creating jobs”. What is this, the 15th one? He goes to it for 5 minutes every time he wants to look like he gives a crap about anything other than his ideology (and it has failed miserably).

But, like the leader he is, you are going to have weeks for it. He has to go on vacation at a $50,000 a day resort in “the rich”s playground of Martha’s Vineyard first. Gotta have your priorities straight.

I wonder how many “corporate jet” owners will be in the area?

But you don’t have to wait for him unveil his new speech (he doesn’t actually have a real plan-he just gives speeches that his minions say are “plans”) because it will be like all the others except he’ll have come up some new euphemism for TAX you to death so he can spend more.

He’s burned through “Investments” and “Infrastructure” and “revenues” already in the last year, so get ready for “Tax Reform”.

Yes, folks, he’s going to “reform” your taxes.  Yes He Can!

HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY BE AGAINST “TAX REFORM”!?? 🙂

So how’s that “hope and Change” working for you”?

And if “Congress” aka Republicans, won’t pass it he’ll pout all over his teleprompter and get his Liberal Media minions to play Ministry of Truth and whine 24/7/365 while they slag anyone who isn’t him running for president into a radioactive pile of poo because “vote for me, the other guy’s an asshole!”.

So I just can’t wait to find out what is in this latest present all wrapped up under the tree with a pretty bow and puppies and kittens on it…say  do you smell something…it smells like death…

Well, if equality of income is the priority, liberals should be thrilled with the last four years. The recession and weak recovery have been income levelers. Those who make more than $200,000 captured one-quarter of the $7.6 trillion in total income in 2009. In 2007 the over-$200,000 crowd had one-third of reported U.S. taxable income. Those with incomes above $1 million earned 9.5% of total income in 2009, down from 16.1% in 2007.

The President needs to levy his tax increase at such a lower income level because that’s where the money is. In 2009, 237,000 taxpayers reported income above $1 million and they paid $178 billion in taxes. A mere 8,274 filers reported income above $10 million, and they paid only $54 billion in taxes.

But 3.92 million reported income above $200,000 in 2009, and they paid $434 billion in taxes. To put it another way, roughly 90% of the tax filers who would pay more under Mr. Obama’s plan aren’t millionaires, and 99.99% aren’t billionaires.

It’s an old story: The best way to produce income equality is to destroy trillions of dollars of wealth. Everyone loses, but the rich lose relatively more than the poor and the middle class. By that measure, if few others, Obamanomics has been a raging success. (WSJ)

So $200,000 is the new “million”. That’s Obamanomics for you!

BUT HE HAS A NEW CUNNING PLAN! 🙂

The Obama administration has a big idea to bolster employment: a Department of Jobs. This isn’t a South Park episode satirizing the White House but an actual idea floated by an administration official in the New York Times. The irony of a “Department of Jobs” is clearly lost on the hapless president. (WSJ)

The only jobs that will be created will be Government Bureaucrats! And we all need more Bureaucrats!

Rejoice. Don’t be a sourpuss (aka disagree with his speeches and his minions).

Be Happy.

It could have been so much worse! 🙂

“First, I want to echo the sentiments of those who have spoken before me in praising you and thanking you for all of your efforts and all the things that you’ve tried to do during probably one of the most difficult situations faced by any president in the face of unreasonable obstruction and opposition.”–President Obama in Cannon Falls,MN.

Yeah, the 15 months of complete control by Democrats doesn’t count. It’s only the last 7 months of  Republican “obstructionism” is to blame. Yeah, they keep proposing solutions and the Democrats slag them and then the Republicans cave. That’s your obstructionism, folks.

And Vote for Obama, the Other Guy’s an Asshole! 🙂

And a final note from Big Sis on the evils of White people (Not Muslims)

My Objection: Wheres the 97 year old dying grandma with the colostomy bag? or the 18 month old with a diaper?

All’s right with the world… “Blackadder” Obama has a new cunning plan…

Blink

Jedidiah Bila: Are you feeling principled today? How about gutsy? Are the wishes of voters — the same voters that afforded you a 2010 landslide victory — at the forefront of your minds?

I certainly hope so.

As conservatives across the country await a decision as to whether or not there will be an increase in the debt ceiling, we can’t help but wonder if you will dig in your heels and stand for something.

Will you prioritize significant — and I mean significant — spending reductions?

Will you refuse to accept tax hikes and stand firm against class warfare?

Will you fight for a balanced budget amendment?

Will you call out the left’s precious “shared sacrifice” talking point for what it is, a class-warfare driven divisive tool that aims to pit one American against another and demonize our country’s job creators?

Will you articulate that in America, we don’t take from one person to give to another? We unleash a booming private sector where people have the opportunity to build their own successes.

Will you draw a clear line of demarcation between the big-government, tax-and-spend agenda of the left and what should be a limited-government, pro-growth agenda on the right?

Will you only embrace “compromise” when it’s in the best interest of the country to do so?

Americans are tired of phoniness. We’re tired of false promises. We’re tired of tax deals that inject no long-term certainty in the economy, accomplish nothing in the way of spending reductions and reflect a profound lack of gravitas on your part. We’re tired of weak cuts disguised as something greater. We’re tired of lies.

And we’re not stupid. We’re attuned to business as usual, to closed-door meetings and to what appears to be a disturbing inability on your part to stick to your guns.

So, what’s it going to be? Are you going to stand firm, to let President Obama, Harry Reid and their allies know that the buck stops here? Are you going to lead a Republican Party that stands for strict fiscal discipline, constitutional integrity and a commitment to protecting all that makes America exceptional for future generations? Are you going to be the bold contrast to the left that you should be?

The choice is yours. We’ll be watching — ready to stand by you if you do what’s right and to hold you accountable if you don’t.

There’s no time for nonsense. This country deserves real leadership. And as we head into another election season, Americans aren’t about to settle for anything less.

AMEN!

Speaker Boehner has already decide to go for a nibble rather than a bite anyhow.

Maybe the Democrats can con him into another deal like last year’s Lame Duck Goose egg. He does seem to fold under pressure.

In a statement, Boehner said: “Despite good-faith efforts to find common ground, the White House will not pursue a bigger debt reduction agreement without tax hikes.”

So I’ll cave first. So grab your wallet and what’s left in it, here come Barack The Savior! 😦

White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer said Obama intended to continue to push for as big a deficit reduction number as possible and that tax revenue be part of the mix.

“The president believes that solving our fiscal problems is an economic imperative. But in order to do that, we cannot ask the middle-class and seniors to bear all the burden of higher costs and budget cuts,” Pfeiffer said. “We need a balanced approach that asks the very wealthiest and special interests to pay their fair share as well, and we believe the American people agree.”

The middle class and senior are ALREADY burdened by your oppressiveness Mr. President, or hadn’t you noticed? 🙂

After all, as White Adviser Plouffe said last week, unemployment is not a factor.

With unemployment now at 9.2% and job growth at a standstill, is there anyone not blinded by ideology or rank partisanship who can’t see that Obama’s spend-and-regulate economic plan has been an utter failure?

On the Left or the Leftist Media: NO. There is not. Simple.

When Obama was running for office, he likened himself to Ronald Reagan. Not because he liked Reagan’s policies — he despised them — but because he saw Reagan as a transformative figure worthy of emulation.

“I think Ronald Reagan changed the trajectory of America in a way that Richard Nixon did not and in a way that Bill Clinton did not,” he said during the campaign. He’s since talked endlessly about the need to “remake” the economy, and “do big things.”

Well, Obama’s been transformative all right. While Reagan rescued a country mired in hopelessness, stagflation and fear, Obama has managed, by reversing Rea-ganomics, to bring it all back again. Consider:

• The unemployment rate has never been under 8% since Obama took office, and it has dipped below 9% in only five of Obama’s 29 months in the White House. No president since the Great Depression can match that record of failure.

• At 40 weeks, the average length of unemployment is almost twice the previous post-World War II peak.

• Inflation is once again on the rise — climbing in each of the past six months.

• And by almost every measure available, including GDP growth, the Obama recovery is the worst since the Great Depression.

Now, thanks to Obama’s grand economic failures, hopelessness is again sweeping the land. An astounding four in 10 say the economy is in a “permanent decline,” according to a New York Times/CBS poll, and an equally eye-opening 48% told CNN that another Great Depression is likely to occur in the next year, the highest level ever in the CNN survey.

More than half — 54% — say their personal finances are getting worse, according to a Rasmussen survey.

Yet, rather than admit failure, Obama’s only response is to try to shift blame and convince us to lower our expectations. “The economic challenges that we face weren’t created overnight,” he said on Friday, “and they’re not going to be solved overnight.”

Translation: How can you expect anything more, when everything was so messed up when I got into town? Poppycock.

After the long, painful and equally deep recession in the early 1980s, the economy roared back to life, powered by Reagan’s mix of tax cuts and deregulation. By this point in the Reagan recovery, growth was so fast and furious it slashed unemployment by a third.

Obama also expects us to believe that “head winds” are to blame for the economy’s lousy performance. But the only head winds holding the economy back are his own “transformative” policies — massive new government spending and debt, ObamaCare and Dodd-Frank, endless talk of tax hikes on the “rich” and corporations, and a job-killing regulatory beast unleashed against every productive corner of the economy.

Obamanomics has been weighed, measured and found wanting. Time now to get back on course.(IBD)

It’s not relevant if Dictatorship and oppression is your goal…

If Liberals have to even ponder the question you know there’s trouble!

Independence Day provides all Americans with an opportunity to celebrate  the many freedoms that make our country both great and unique. Our Declaration of Independence  was breathtaking in scope and written in precise, plain, unequivocal  language. When read in townships across the Colonies, crowds listened in  hushed silence and then broke out in applause when the reading was complete. Our Founding Fathers felt no need to dilute or cloak their intentions to form a government.

As you celebrate the 4th, it might be appropriate to contrast the  straightforward language of our founders and other great American  leaders with the weasel words now emerging from Washington, and all too  frequently, from President Obama, who prefers euphemism-laden,  convoluted, pixilated flummery.

A quick review of Obama’s speeches  reveals his most common euphemisms seem to show a pattern of deception,  obfuscation and misdirection. In President Obama’s lexicon, words have  different meanings; to decipher the message and understand what the  President is saying requires a special Washington Dictionary. Here are  some samples from President Obamas special dictionary:

Investment is the president’s word for government spending.  When he says we need to invest more, he really means he wants to  increase spending on some special project. Obama knows that the word  investment is reassuring to most Americans and implies that at some  point in time a good investment will return a decent profit. But, no  return is envisioned with Obama’s “investments”. In fact, to Obama all  government spending is an investment.

Millionaires and Billionaires Obama often talks about the  need to increase taxes on the millionaires and billionaires. Of course,  what he really means is higher taxes on any family making more than  $250,000. Obamas math skills must be sufficient to understand that  there is a huge mathematical difference between 250,000 and a billion,  but he chooses to ignore the difference to better stoke class  resentment, all while hoping that average Americans are too stupid to  understand.

Working People is invoked to demonstrate commitment to average  Americans. Of course, what Obama really means is that he supports the  primacy of unions over other American workers.  According to Obamas  definition, the vast majority of Americans, including small business  owners, are not working people at all, regardless of how many thousands  of hours they work. In Obamas dictionary, only union members are  working people and deserving of special preferences and consideration.

Spending Reductions in the Tax Code  means more tax increases. President Obama likes to wear the mantle of  spending cuts, but lacks the courage to call a tax increase what it  really is.

Paying Their Fair Share is the president’s phrase for wealth  redistribution. What Obama really means is that entrepreneurs and other  successful business owners are not paying high enough taxes, and that  all of the money they earn should be “contributed” to the government for  wealth redistribution to those that Obama considers worthy. Of course,  Obamas supporters, the bulk of whom do not seem to pay income tax, are,  according to this definition, already paying a fair amount of tax  (zero). It is the rest of America that is not paying their fair share.  Obama offers no criteria to what is fair or not, so that is why he  seems to think it is perfectly acceptable to require 20% of American to  pay 78% of the taxes and then criticize them for not paying their “fair  share”.

Green Jobs and Green Economy these are the jobs that President  Obama believes are more important and more valuable than any others,  even if creating a “green job” that pays $40,000 actually costs the  taxpayers $300,000 to create. Moreover, if creating one magical “green  job” results in the loss of 10 or more jobs that were dependent upon  cheap, reliable power, that too is of no consequence. A green job has  magical properties that do not conform to economic principles.

Unprecedented. Perhaps Obama’s favorite word, which he uses to  describe most of his actions. This word has no meaning to Obama, but  reflects his belief that he is so special that everything he does or  says must be admired. Obama is so, fundamentally, unaware of American  history that he thinks that the challenges and issues that he faces are  unique. (Move over George Washington!)

Unfortunately, our President seems unaware that the dangers of repeated,  euphemistic bastardization of the English language erodes his  credibility. Increasingly, Americans know they cannot trust what Obama  says.

And so, President Obama is likely to tell Americans:

“In response to an unprecedented challenge we must provide more aid to working people by increasing investments in green jobs. We will implement savings in the tax code that will only impact millionaires and billionaires who are not currently paying their fair share“.

And yet what Obama really means is:

My policies have failed. The stimulus was a disaster, and the country is  broke. We need more money to keep the Unions, and my special  constituents who pay very little or no taxes, happy, so I need everyone  else to pay more, otherwise I won’t get re-elected.

Americans have a reputation for being straightforward and for plain  speaking and are only slowly becoming aware of the vague, expansive, and  misleading words in President Obama’s unique dictionary.  Our Founding  Fathers said: “we hold these truths to be self-evident”.  With Obama,  none of his words are self-evident.(Lurita Doan)

Except the deceit and dishonesty and complete disingenuousness that is not only self-evident, it’s self-serving.

The New Class

The Obama Justice Department has created a secret group within the bloated civil rights division to monitor laws passed by states and local municipalities to control illegal immigration.

Because the measures are viewed as discriminatory and anti-immigrant by the administration, the Justice Department is spending valuable taxpayer dollars to track them and legally challenge them as it did in Arizona. The mission is being carried out by an undercover “National Origin Working Group” set up by Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez, a renowned illegal immigrant advocate who once ran a taxpayer-funded day laborer center in Maryland.

This week the “National Origin Working Group” will hold a special training session at the agency’s Washington D.C. headquarters.

Laws prohibiting national origin discrimination will also be addressed at the powwow and so will discrimination against Muslims in the ever-so-hostile, post 9/11 era.

The most “transparent” administration in history doesn’t want the public to know about this special taskforce.

And if you mention this, you will have to be investigated, ruined and labelled as a RACIST! 🙂

Wanna know how that could be?

“I said over a year ago that this was going to be, this presidential race, Lawrence, was going to be the ugliest, the nastiest, the most divisive, and the most racist in the history of this Republic,” PBS host Tavis Smiley said on MSNBC.

So get ready for it. It’s going to be all out!

Many aspects of President Obama’s policies and approach give me indigestion. His reckless spending, economically destructive and unconstitutional Obamacare, deceit with respect to Paul Ryan’s “Path to Prosperity,” perpetual arrogance, and love affair with an EPA that repeatedly jeopardizes our ability to become energy independent, are just a few examples.

However, there’s one facet of the Obama ideology that turns my stomach with particular force — that of class warfare. Not only is it profoundly un-American, but it pins one citizen against another in order to promote the idea that the federal government should step in and equalize for the common good. The candidate who once advocated spreading the wealth around is determined to do just that.

President Obama has repeatedly taken jabs at those who meet his definition of wealthy. That includes hard-working individuals, families, and small and large business owners who hire employees, pay salaries, and invest in our economy. Obama ignores the fact that when you increase taxes on a business owner, you stymie the ability of that individual to help grow our economy, create jobs, and generate opportunity for others based on his/her own success and expansion. He also ignores the fact that despite what he and his liberal comrades might think, the success of individuals, families, and/or businesses is not an invitation for the federal government to seize more of their hard-earned cash.

In order to promote his class warfare-driven policies, Obama repeatedly extols a notion of “shared sacrifice.” (Translation: The “rich” aren’t funneling enough of their cash to the federal government.) As noted by The Heritage Foundation, “The top 1 percent of income earners paid 38 percent of all federal income taxes in 2008, while the bottom 50 percent paid only 3 percent. Forty-nine percent of U.S. households paid no federal income tax at all.”

In April of 2010, the AP reported, “Less noticed were tax cuts for low- and middle-income families, which were expanded when Obama signed the massive economic recovery package last year. The result is a tax system that exempts almost half the country from paying for programs that benefit everyone, including national defense, public safety, infrastructure and education. It is a system in which the top 10 percent of earners — households making an average of $366,400 in 2006 — paid about 73 percent of the income taxes collected by the federal government.”

Does that sound like a system in which the top earners haven’t been sharing the sacrifice?

2012 conservative contenders, watch closely as President Obama advocates taking from one person to give to another. Provide a stark contrast to his divisive rhetoric. Be his opposite by upholding an America in which free-market principles, limited government, and a decrease in tax rates for all would incentivize business, unleash entrepreneurial spirits, and yield greater opportunities for people of all shapes, sizes, colors, and incomes.

President Obama, keep your class warfare and the policies through which you’ve added more to our national debt than any president from Washington through Reagan combined. When it comes to 2012, getting this country back on track, and reawakening everything that makes America exceptional, conservatives have it covered. (Jedidiah Bila)
