White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer used three vivid analogies to attack House Republicans’ laundry list of demands for raising the debt ceiling, comparing Republicans to arsonists, hostage-takers and suicide bombers.

Gee, the Democrats have never done that before… 🙂

“What we’re not for is negotiating with people with a bomb strapped to their chest,” Pfeiffer said in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper Thursday afternoon. “We’re not going to do that.”

“Republicans are not asking for a negotiation,” he told CNN’s Tapper. “It’s a negotiation if I’m trying to sell you my house, and we are debating the price of it. It’s not a negotiation if I show up at your house and say, ‘Give me everything inside or I’m going to burn it down.’

“Republicans have provided a laundry list of essentially ransom demands of things that were essentially the Romney agenda that voters rejected.”

But it’s the Republicans who are “obstructionists”. Do it our way or else! 🙂

If ObamaCare is so great why did Congress whine about it and then Obama Exempt them and offer to have the Taxpayers subsidize them. They make $174,000 a year. They can afford it. 🙂

Why does he need to campaign with “Secretary of Explaining Stuff” Bubba Clinton if it’s so good.

Why doesn’t he show up at a Union meeting instead of a Community College to tell people how great it is?

Because that was never the point of it and he only wants to be in front of morons and the ignorant. The ones to stupid to understand they are being screwed.

“Send us a clean CR, clean debt ceiling. That’s the path forward. There’s no need for conversations. We’ve spoken loudly and clearly, and we have the support of the president of the United States, and that’s pretty good,” Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday.

Notice he didn’t say anything about support of the American People because he knows he doesn’t have it, and he doesn’t care.

So do it our way or the highway. And it’s your fault for not doing it our way 100%.

But they aren’t “obstructing”….

No amount of White House spin will change the reality of the huge rate spikes millions of Americans will find in the ObamaCare exchanges. But as bad as this rate shock is, it’s just the beginning.

Days before ObamaCare goes into effect, the administration released information on premiums people can expect next year. Just $328 a month! And lower than expected!

The mainstream press largely went along with this spin. But you don’t have to look very hard to see that it’s totally misleading.

A table in that White House report, for example, shows the lowest-cost Bronze plan for a 27-year-old will average $163 a month in the 36 states with federally run exchanges. Among those making $25,000, the cost will be $93 a month, after subsidies.

Is that a bargain? Not when you compare it with the plans they can buy today. The average premium for the lowest-cost plan in these same states is $54 a month, according to data in a recent Government Accountability Report.

In other words, even with the taxpayer subsidies, ObamaCare will be more expensive than what’s available in the market today.

Other analyses came to the same conclusion.

The House Ways and Means Committee found the average Bronze plan for 27-year-old men will be 50% higher, and 12% higher for women. The Manhattan Institute found ObamaCare’s average premiums will be 99% higher for men and 62% higher for women.

Bad as this is, the rate shock will only get worse in ObamaCare’s second year.

First, the administration delayed the law’s caps on out-of-pocket costs. These were supposed to be $6,350 for individuals and $12,700 for families, starting in 2014. Now they won’t go into effect until 2015.

Obama officials claimed insurance companies needed more time to handle the new rule. Likelier, it was because they knew the caps would jack up rates even more this year.

Whatever the excuse, the fact is that when these out-of-pocket caps go into effect in 2015, they will boost premiums even further.

Second, there’s little hope the administration will convince enough young people to sign up for ObamaCare this year. Those under age 34 are already the least likely to have insurance, even though they are the likeliest to have access to cheap plans. Why would they be more inclined to pay ObamaCare’s inflated rates?

The problem is that if only sicker and older people sign up for coverage, the ObamaCare premiums that insurance companies are charging won’t be enough. So they’ll have to push for much higher rates next year.

Don’t expect any of this to change liberals’ minds about the law. If anything, they’ll use those skyrocketing premiums to call for still more government meddling in the market. (IBD)

Pivoting Talking Points

Carol E. Lee of the Wall Street Journal asks White House press secretary Jay Carney about creating jobs and the point of the President’s upcoming bus tour in the Midwest. The White House denies this is a campaign event, instead calling it an “official event.” Transcript from today’s briefing below:

Q Sort of to follow on that, why should Americans believe that the White House can create jobs when the unemployment rate has been so stagnant and the record is sort of anemic?

MR. CARNEY: Well, the White House doesn’t create jobs. The government together — White House, Congress — creates policies that allow for greater job creation. And that can be through tax cuts, for example, for working Americans; everyone who works pays a payroll tax. And the tax cut that this President pushed for, for one year, for this calendar year, he’s pushing for to be extended next year.  (which costs $$ and is an evil “tax cut”)

They can — he can work to do the things that I just talked about, in terms of fuel-efficiency standards or clean energy investments. He very much supports the creation of an infrastructure bank, which has bipartisan support, which would leverage very relatively minimal amount of taxpayer dollars to allow private companies to hire folks to rebuild our infrastructure, which in turn will help create a more solid foundation for economic growth and job creation.

Did he not get the latest pivot memo?

Oh, and by the way, “rebuilding the infrastructure” is another liberal code phrase for SPENDING like drunken morons again. Stimulus “jobs” anyone?

Q And then, lastly, Senator Portman has an op-ed today, and he suggests that every other time the debt ceiling needs to be raised that Congress do a dollar-for-dollar decrease in the reduction of the deficit. Is that something that the White House —

MR. CARNEY: So make permanent the arbitrary connection between Congress simply allowing that the government should pay the bills that it rings up and link that to, again, arbitrary numbers to reduce spending. Again, this is not a related issue. I would suspect that we do not think that would be a good idea or particularly helpful to economic growth or job creation. (RCP)

John Harwood, CNBC: “Do you feel that you or the administration’s policies are in any way responsible for this downgrade?”

Sec. Tim Geithner, U.S. Treasury: “Oh, absolutely not. You see, the President worked incredibly hard in making real incredibly progress trying to heal the damage made by this incredible crisis and you saw him work his heart out to try to bring both parties together to reach an agreement on the long-term fiscal deal. He made some progress, didn’t solve it all. But a down payment [and] very strong bipartisan support for that down payment and we got a lot of work still to do.”

Talk about being stuck in a myopic ideological mindset.

It appears the new Democratic talking point on Friday’s S&P downgrade of the U.S. credit rating is to blame on the tea party, by referring to it as a “tea party downgrade.”

On CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Axelrod explained his interpretation of the downgrade. He argued it had more to do with the country’s politics and less to do with its finances.

Yeah,it’s not us, it’s the Tea Party’s fault 😦

It’s not me, it the other guy, he’s an asshole!

“Both political parties are responsible for the mess we have right now,” said Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin) said on Fox News Sunday. “This is not a Republican or Democrat only problem. This is both parties got us to where we are.”

Bu they don’t want to do what’s really necessary because it’s bad politics.

Standard & Poor’s cited “difficulties in bridging the gulf between political parties” as a major reason for the downgrade to AA+, the next level down from AAA. The rating agency has essentially lost faith in Washington’s ability to work together to address its debt.

Gee, I wonder why? 😮

“The action by S&P reaffirms the need for a balanced approach to deficit reduction that combines spending cuts with revenue-raising measures like closing taxpayer-funded giveaways to billionaires, oil companies and corporate jet owners,” <Senate Majority Leader> Reid said.

Gee I wonder why that is? 🙂

They probably have inedible Talking Points stuck in their teeth.

Yeah, the wealthiest Americans pay the majority of taxes and 47% of  Americans (primarily those “middle class”) pay no taxes whatsoever. So how is that “kicking in”??

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 17% of Likely U.S. Voters think the federal government today has the consent of the governed.  Sixty-nine percent (69%) believe the government does not have that consent. Fourteen percent (14%) are undecided.

So we need to vote like it.

But in fairness, one also has to remember S&P missed the whole Mortgage Securities  mess so they aren’t holy either.

There are no angels in these foxholes.

But we, the citizens are the ones being run across the political minefields.

When Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) gave her inaugural address as speaker of the House in 2007, she vowed there would be “no new deficit spending.” Since that day, the national debt has increased by $5 trillion, according to the U.S. Treasury Department.

“After years of historic deficits, this 110th Congress will commit itself to a higher standard: Pay as you go, no new deficit spending,” Pelosi said in her speech from the speaker’s podium. “Our new America will provide unlimited opportunity for future generations, not burden them with mountains of debt.”

Pelosi has served as speaker in the 110th and 111th Congresses.

Some of the world’s strongest banks have profited from an emergency credit facility set up by the US Federal Reserve to shore up confidence in the global financial system, according to a Financial Times analysis of data released by the Fed.

More than half of lending under the Fed’s term auction facility – the largest of its crisis programmes – went to foreign banks. Details of the varied uses to which they put it may add to political criticism of the Fed.

The Taf was set up in December 2007 to provide one-month loans to creditworthy banks as markets dried up for lending longer than overnight. In August 2008, it began offering three-month loans as well.

Rabobank of the Netherlands and Toronto-Dominion of Canada, two of the only banks in the world with triple A credit ratings, used more than $20bn in cumulative Taf loans.

Ed Clark, TD chief executive, said that using Taf was logical even though his bank never had a liquidity problem. “That wasn’t how we made a lot of money. But you make a dollar here, you make a dollar there. What’s the spread you make on a billion dollars?” he said. (FT)

HAMTRAMCK, Mich. — Leaders of this city met for more than seven hours on a Saturday not long ago, searching for something to cut from a budget that has already been cut, over and over.

“We can make it until March 1 — maybe,” Mr. Cooper said of Hamtramck’s ability to pay its bills. Beyond that? The political leaders of this old working-class city almost surrounded by Detroit are pleading with the state to let them declare bankruptcy, a desperate move the state is not even willing to admit as an option under the current circumstances.

“The state is concerned that if they say yes to one, if that door is opened, they’ll have 30 more cities right behind us,” Mr. Cooper said, as flurries fell outside his City Hall window. “But anything else is just a stop gap. We’re going to continue to pursue bankruptcy until the door is shut, locked, barricaded, bolted.”

You mean the UAW is concerned. The UAW runs the State, or at least in Mafiaoso style they think they do. They have the politicians and media in their pockets and have for more than a generation.

They did when I was growing up in Michigan. Now with the Socialist Wheaties of the modern Liberals behind them I’m sure they are more Tony Soprano than Jimmy Hoffa.

And the last thing the UAW wants is to have their union busted by bankruptcies.

But the inevitable is coming. And THEY DON’T CARE!

Union pensions and benefits, not just the UAW, but Government Public Sector Unions also, and other private Unions have been sucking industry and the taxpayers dry for several generations but the cash cow is out of milk and endanger of dying altogether.

And you know what, THEY DON’T CARE!

Everyone must sacrifice for them. They are holy. They are sacrosanct.

They are untouchable.

So they believe. And since they have been buying Democrats for generations they will be the Pied Piper to all their slave rats.

Because THEY DON’T CARE.

And ultimately, that is the lesson of the last 3 years of Pelosi-Reid and Obama.

They said all the right things to get their hands on your throat and then they throttled you with debt to pass their 90 year old Socialist wet dreams and they are still at it and will be still at it with control of the Senate and the President.

THEY DON’T CARE.

They, and the Unions, are the ultimate in GREED and CORRUPTION.

Prichard, Ala., which stopped paying monthly checks to retired city workers when its pension fund ran out last year, is appealing a bankruptcy judge’s ruling that it did not qualify for Chapter 9 under Alabama law.

And they telegraphed it ahead of time, and no one cared.

A Liberals personal pursuit of everyone else’s money for their own benefit, economically or politically, is all they care about.

It’s all about THEM.

Now that’s your “kind”, “Compassionate” and “caring” Liberals who are always looking out for “the little guy”.

Officials in Detroit announced this year that they had for years overpaid Hamtramck in a revenue-sharing deal related to a General Motors plant that sits smack on the border of the two cities. The dispute is likely to be resolved, eventually, in court, but meanwhile, Detroit has stopped paying $2 million a year, and Hamtramck is watching a growing gap in its $18 million budget.

Could it be that these “overpayments” were ok until Detroit had to hide it’s own budget woes so they passed it on to another city?

Hmmm….

“Detroit is cutting police, lighting, road repairs and cleaning services affecting as much as 20% of the population,” the Guardian’s Elena Moya noted late Monday, writing about the 60 Minutes piece. “The city, which has been on the skids for almost two decades with the decline of the US auto industry, does not generate enough wealth to maintain services for its 900,000 inhabitants.”

BINGO!

City Manager Bill Cooper said the city of roughly 20,000 people is staring at a $3 million deficit.
California, which faces a $19 billion (some say as high as $26 Billion) budget deficit next year, has a credit rating approaching junk status. It now spends more money on public employee pensions than it does on the state university system, which had to increase its tuition by 32 percent.
“This is the state of affairs in Illinois. Is not pretty,” Illinois state Comptroller Dan Hynes told Kroft.  

Hynes is the state’s paymaster. He currently has about $5 billion in outstanding bills in his office and not enough money in the state’s coffers to pay them. He says they’re six months behind.

“The state’s a deadbeat,” Kroft remarked.  

“Yeah. I mean, the state of Illinois is known as a deadbeat state. This is a reputation that has taken us years to earn and we’ve reached, you know, the heights of, I think, becoming the worst in the country,” Hynes said. (CBS)

Unions have a $3 Trillion Dollar appetite and it’s insatiable. And THEY DON’T CARE.
No one is talking about it now, but the big test will come this spring. That’s when $160 billion in federal stimulus money, that has helped states and local governments limp through the great recession, will run out.
You thought TARP was for the “economy”. No, it wasn’t.
It was for the state employee unions and foreign banks.
That’s running out.
Now the wheels of this Cadillac are about to go bald and flat.
Now this is driving a car into a ditch.
And I guarantee you, the Liberals and the Unions DON’T CARE!

Mr. Cooper, the city manager (of Hamtramck), says that everything else that could be cut already has been, while the city goes on spending 60 percent of its total general fund (of an $18 million dollar budget) to pay for its police and firefighting forces — 75 current police officers and firefighters and about 240 former workers and spouses now on pensions. Mr. Cooper said that an entry-level police officer costs the city about $75,000 a year in salary and benefits, and yet repeated efforts to renegotiate contracts have failed.

“They kind of have the Cadillac plan,” Mr. Cooper said, “and we’d kind of like the Chevy.”

Trust me, Unions of all types love Cadillacs.

Growing up in Flint,Mi the one-time home of 7 auto plants and an AC Delco Engine Plant. “Buick City” it was called (there was a billboard proclaiming this 10 miles south of town near Fenton off I-75).

It had a population of 250,000 when I was growing up. Last year it was 125,000 and everyone of those plants had closed years ago.

But growing up my friends and I always said that only 2 kinds of people drove Cadillacs, Pimps and Auto Workers. So no much difference there.

That was the 1970’s. In 40 years it hasn’t gotten any better.

So let the extortion begin. It’s the only tactic Unions use. Economic and political hardball extortion.

After all, dozens of Unions have been exempted from ObamaCare and their “Cadillac” Health Plans are exempt until 2018.

So it’s not like they care or anything.

The Real Star Wars

This is a tale of a young Senator who set out to change the world. To grab power. To reshape everything.

To fundamentally violate one of the truth of existence and to fight against it.

That truth, LIFE ISN’T FAIR.

I believe (to borrow another movie) it to be the Inception idea that started modern Liberalism.

If Life isn’t fair, then let’s make it equal. So that it is no more or less fair for anyone.

But that way leads to The Dark Side.

The Sith await you.

Think about it, you have a (in this case young) Senator who rises in a time of stress and War and Crisis. He promises hope & change. Though the hope and change he wants is to control everyone and everything. That way, Social Justice is “Fair”. And Life if “fair”.

In the time of crisis he is granted powers and takes steps no leader has ever dared take before. He takes over the Banks, insurance companies, the auto industry.

He consolidates more power to central authority that ever before. he is playing both sides against each other in the name of “fairness” to consolidate power. Because, after all, they only way life can be “fair” is if you control it from birth to death.

You have no freedom. But it’s Fair! 😦

But life is not fair.

And this frustrates him. He has such a grand vision. But he can’t get it done.

It’s not fair!

He’s so much smarter than everyone else. He’s so much better. More enlightened.

And all he wants is for everyone to be equal. Now that’s “fair”.

And before the November 2nd elections (9/10/10): “If it was just a referendum on whether we’ve made the kind of progress that we need to, then people around the country would say ‘We’re not there yet,'” Obama said.

“If the election is about the policies that are going to move us forward, versus the policies that will get us back into a mess, then I think Democrats will do very well.”

And on Nov 2, he and his minions were “shellacked”. But that didn’t stop them from have a very productive Lame Duck Session where they got 90% of what they wanted.

As a matter of fact, he’s now the “Comeback Kid”. The Emperor has New Clothes.

But still he fears that his life’s work will be undone, challenged or left unfulfilled. The dreams of 90 years of Progressive Liberalism rest upon his shoulders.

His vision.

So, like Palpatine, he will have to be craftier and take more control rather than letting his minions like Darth Vader do all the heavy lifting.

And who hates more liberals.

Only Radical Muslims and terrorists.

Class Warfare. Hate the rich (but not the Liberal Rich like George Soros or even Obama who made $5 million dollars last year).

Race Warfare. Pitting blacks and Hispanics against Whites because Whites are “not fair” and oppressive.

Despite the fact that liberal policies hurt blacks and hispanics.

It keeps them down.

The promise of “fairness” and “Justice” keep them in line. Even though in the 50 years they haven’t even come close to either.

Religious Warfare. The more Progressive (aka radical) they are the seemingly more anti-religious they are- especially Christianity.

How is that different from the Sith wanting to wipe out the Jedi??

The Jedi are spiritual. The Force is spiritual.

They must be crushed.

The State is your only salvation.

The Government is your protector. Your savior.

Not yourself.

But if Obama is Senator Palpatine, cum Emperor-wanna be, who is Darth Vader. The angry, power mad servant of the Dark Side?

Nancy Pelosi, who else. 🙂  (Not Dick Cheney as the Liberals tried to use in 2005 after Bush beat Kerry for re-election)

But it does point to the fact that when Liberals object to the dirty tricks way things are being done “unfairly” that usually means they have already done them and you’re not allowed to do what they are doing because they are so vastly superior and more “fair” than you.

But Darth Vader never got demoted to a Minority Position. This should just strengthen her backbone and her insanity.

She will hate even more at being thwarted and simultaneous be proud of her many accomplishments over the last 2 years.

Obstructing the rebel scum will be new mission. They cannot be allowed to retake what she has taken.

After all, it is my own opinion that Nancy Pelosi thought she was the Empress for the last 2 years and that Barack was the upstart who was getting in HER way.

Then there’s The Conspirator, aka Harry Reid. He who works behind the scenes to make it work through any means necessary.

You have the faceless “enemy”- The Rich. The Corporations. The Separatists.

You have the faceless, uniform soldiers of the cause, The Unions and the Bureaucracy. A hegemony of purpose and the foot soldiers of the cause.

And then you ad in an Orwellian touch, The Ministry of Truth. The Liberally-biased media that is a champion of the Empire’s needs and wants and will spread it’s message and lies far and wide across the land. Willingly so. And they all proclaims to be “fair” and “objective”.

Those who disagree with this view are the evil ones who are not fair and not objective: FOX,the Internet-Like Drudge,Daily Caller etc, and Talk Radio.

Which is why they must be controlled. So you send out the faceless bureaucratic clone minions of the FCC, the FTC, the FDA to stop them.

The SEIU are the people’s clone army. Foot soldiers for the cause.

Then there are the Liberal lawyers and judges who stop the resistance by ruling from ideology under the cover of law. To control the people ever further.

Then comes the Resistance, The Rebel Alliance.

A loose band of like-minded independent people who just want their freedoms back. To restore democracy and give all people a chance.

Meet THE TEA PARTY.

Hated, denigrated, and reviled by the Imperials.

But their allies in the Government haven’t proven they can be trusted yet. Not after the Lame Duck give aways they allowed.

So this chapter in the saga has yet to be written and it falls to all of us in the movement to keep the pressure on.

To quote yet another movie, “Never Give up! Never Surrender!”

Or as Master Yoda might say, ““Do or do not… there is no try.”

“The president’s heart is in the right place,” Sanders said. But “I think he has not fully understood that the American people are prepared for a fight. The American people do not want to give tax cuts to billionaires.”–Sen. Bernie Sanders (Socialist-VT).

So how many times do you have to tell Democrats that if the tax cuts expire your taxes go UP, but if they stay you’re taxes go NOWHERE. They don’t go down at all.

Probably until the end of time.

After all, what’s been gored here is the most sacred cow of the Progressive Liberal Left – Class Warfare. There is nothing more sacrosanct to the far left than Class Warfare.

And their own God has committed Heresy and struck a pact with the Devil’s minions, The Republicans. Nothing could violate the religion of Class Warfare more than this.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (Calif.) was among those who emerged unconvinced. “I’m just staggered by the enormity of this package,” she said.

But not “staggered” by Health Care, Finanacial Reform, Bailouts, and 4 Trillion in spending in 2 years. No. This “staggers” her. 🙂

And NOW the Democrats are worried about spending, when it gores their sacred cow.

Now that’s partisan politics for you.

“I understand the desire for a fight. I’m sympathetic to that. I’m as opposed to the high-end tax cuts today as I’ve been for years,” he said. “But in the meantime, I’m not here to play games with the American people or the health of our economy.”-President Obama

And besides I may get some people to believe I’ve changed and I’m more “moderate” now.

This leopard hasn’t changed his spots. He just saw the train coming at the end of the tunnel and he blinked.

Better to look like he chose “the people” over the “the party” because he can spend the next year convincing them he’s still their guy while looking better for his re-election to independents and moderates.

Remember, it’s always about him and no one else.

Democrats were cool by comparison. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) ignored the deal in a statement that lambasted Republicans, saying they have “held the middle class hostage for provisions that benefit only the wealthiest 3 percent.” She concluded tersely, “We will continue discussions with the president and our caucus in the days ahead.”

“This is only a framework. It’s up to the Congress to pass it,” Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (Nev.) said after the Biden meeting. The Senate could take up the package next week. But, Reid said, “I think we’re going to have to do some more work on it.”

Like gut the whole thing and re-do it as a Class Warfare document, maybe even ADD some taxes in their for “the rich”.

And when that doesn’t pass and Congress goes home having done absolutely nothing about the issue at all, the smug little Democrats can feel their superiority swell as EVERYONE’s TAXES go up, even the lower and middle classes.

The question really is, do they have the balls for it.

The Representatives and The Senators up for re-election in 2012 who would be BBQ’d for this in their re-elections?

So do they want to kiss their asses goodbye so soon?

Good Question.

I suppose we’ll find out very soon who blinks first, Reid-Pelosi or Obama-Republicans.

“This President negotiates down from a position of strength better than any politician in our recent history,” –Uber Progressive Leftist MSDNC’s Keith Olbermann.

It took him this long to figure that out?

Putin, Ahmadinejad ,Kim Jon Ill, Hugo Chavez, et al  had that figured out long ago.

But Olbermann reserved his greatest ire for what he perceived as the administration’s arrogant and dismissive attitude towards the base of the Democratic party.

Well, he’s already done it to the American People in general, so why not just redistribute the wealth. 🙂

And of course, Mr. President how we totally betrayed your Administration by not concluding our prayers every night by saying “Thank you for preventing another Great Depression, you are entitled to skate along on your own wonderfulness indefinitely and if you get less than you could have on health care reform or taxes, well, that’ll be okay, we’re happy to pay $10,000 for a $300 car because hey, it could’ve been $20,000, right? And because we only expect you to do one thing correctly during a presidency and you had pretty much cleared that obligation when it proved that you were, indeed, not John McCain.”

UPDATE ON OBAMACARE WAIVERS

The Obama Administration has quietly granted even more waivers to one provision of the new federal health reform law, doubling the number in just the last three weeks to a new total of 222.

One of the more recognizable business names included on the newly-expanded list of waivers issued by the feds is that of Waffle House, which received a waiver on November 23 for health coverage that covers 3,947 enrollees.

Another familiar name was that of Universal Orlando, which runs a variety of very popular resorts in the Orlando, Florida area.  Universal was given a waiver for plans that cover 668 workers.

This plan which was so great, just gets better doesn’t it folks. 🙂

The only people in the end who won’t be exempt will be the average individual American.

Yeah, it’s great. 😦

Greed

I went to the movies yesterday. I saw “I Want Your Money” http://www.iwantyourmoney.net/

But admittedly, it will make Liberals and Progressives explode, it has some harsh words for Republicans especially after 2003 when they did become Democrats and how we can’t afford that again.

But the big one that I thought was really fascinating was: Greed.

The Liberals have made this their center post for most of my life and they especially have made it the big focus now that they stand on the precipice of not having it like they did or not at all.

What is Greed?

And one of the questions raised in the documentary,” Name me one society that is not based on greed?”

That’s a more profound question than it looks because if you’re truly honest with yourself and with others you already know the real answer.

None.

It doesn’t exist.

So using “greed” as a political weapon is dishonest at best.

The liberals and the progressives are greedy. There just greedy with your money.

They are greedy for their own power.

And their class warfare against “the rich” is just using your greed to further theirs.

“The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money [to spend].” (attributed to many people).

And we’ve run out of money period. But yet, Obama and crew still want to spend even more. They don’t know any other way.

Greed is a pernicious thing.

We all do it.

I do it.

Getting “something for free” is a form of greed because nothing tangible is ever free.

Just yesterday I saw a new version of the Andy Griffith Health Care pimp-me commercial talking about all the “free” stuff that Medicare patients were going to get under ObamaCare.

That’s disingenuous at best, and a lie at worst.

1) If Doctors stop taking Medicare patients then you’re screwed. And they are.

2) the “free” service has to be paid by someone. That someone being you. it’s called the premium. That shared risk pool money you pay for insurance.

So they are being greedy with your money.

And Medicare is going to be cut by $500 Billion (at least according to the bill), especially Medicare Advantage.

Do Democrats tout that one? Of Course not!

And then the Democrats go after “the rich” and make you envious of them.

That’s a form of greed. Because you lust after their money. You covet their money. The money they’ve earned and you haven’t.

Mind you, Democrats have plenty of “rich” people backing them and plenty of  Unions that are International entities (AFL-CIO and SEIU just to name 2) and could get money from foreign sources.

But they aren’t going to mention it.

And neither will the Ministry of Truth Media.

Why would they. They are playing on your emotions. They are manipulating you. Why point out their duplicity. 🙂

Welfare is greedy.

You’re being paid by other people’s labor.

So, name me a society free of greed.

It doesn’t exist.

So when the Democrats trot out class warfare and  proclaim piously how they are for the working man and the poor against “the rich” and the”greedy” laugh in their both of their two faces!!

Just this weekend: “They’re fighting back. The empire is striking back. To win this election, they are plowing tens of millions of dollars into front groups. They are running misleading negative ads all across the country.”-President Obama

And Democrats aren’t?

What about his front groups like Moveon.Org (Foreign Billionaire George Soros), The SEIU, The AFL-CIO, The UAW, Media Matters, and on and on and on??

What of their nothing but negative ads??

And where is the “fair” media. The “journalists”??

They are in bed with Obama. Incestuously so.

Have  you seen any of this out of Katie Couric? Or Brian Williams? Or Diane Sawyer?

No. And you won’t either.

Top Democrats like Obama constantly denounce private avarice. But when the fat cats are feds, not financiers, they go silent. To leading Democrats, government greed is good.

Just as Wall Street and corporate America relentlessly pursue profits, Congress and federal bureaucrats possess a ravenous hunger for trillions of tax dollars to fuel lavish spending schemes, underwrite gluttonous public salaries and benefits, and seize increasing power.

These days, the wallets of many American taxpayers feel like helium balloons. Yet Washington always wants more.

A post-election, Democrat-led, lame-duck congressional session may tax “the rich” ― specifically, individuals who earn north of $200,000 annually and married couples who make above $250,000.

If so, top tax rates would rise from 35 percent to 39.6 percent. Remember: These disgusting plutocrats are expected to pay higher taxes and simultaneously hire the unemployed.

Furthermore, the capital gains tax could jump from 15 percent to 20 percent (rising to 23.8 percent in 2013, thanks to ObamaCare), and the dividends tax could soar from 15 percent to 39.6 percent. This also would snatch growth capital from the productive sector.

The Death Tax now dead could be resurrected at 55 percent on estates exceeding $1 million. If key Democrats prevail, they would slam this sickly economy with at least $678 billion in higher taxes, the National Taxpayers Union estimates.

Meanwhile, as Americans miss mortgage payments, shutter businesses and abandon their dreams, it’s happy hour for government employees. What reformist Republican Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey properly calls “shared sacrifice” means something completely different in Washington: The American people sacrifice, and the feds share in the proceeds.

As the Heritage Foundation calculates, between December 2007 (the start of the Great Recession) and July 2010, private-sector employment shrank by 7,837,000 positions, or 6.8 percent.

However, federal civilian employment grew by 198,000 positions, or 10 percent, not counting temporary Census workers. In 2009, the Bureau of Economic Analysis reports, private-sector salaries and benefits averaged $61,051.

The federal-civilian figure? $123,049 ― more than double. Also, the Office of Personnel Management found that between December 2007 and June 2009, the number of federal employees earning at least $170,000 zoomed 93 percent.

As if devouring your money were not enough, Washington also sticks its collective snout everywhere. The feds have ordered New York City to change 250,900 street signs from ALL CAPS to caps and lower case, supposedly because “BROADWAY” is tougher to read than “Broadway.”

Rather than invite D.C. to SHOVE IT, Mayor Michael Bloomberg rolled over and appropriated $27.6 million to obey Washington’s latest edict. This sum could pay 219 rookie cops their $41,975 starting salaries for three years. (Deroy Murdock in Korea Times)

But the Democrats aren’t “greedy”. 🙂

It’s only Republicans and non-Democrats who are “greedy” for both money and power. 🙂

I had severe falling out with Arizona’s Senior Senator when he co-authored the Amnesty bill with the now deceased Sen. Kennedy.

I held my nose having to vote in the 2008 Presidential Election between the obvious Socialist, Obama, and the less obvious McCain.

The worst case of The Evil of Two Lessor in my lifetime.

But he tried to do a mea culpa. But I never bought it.

Our then-Governor, Janet Napalitano (now Homeland Security Secretary) had done everything she could to ignore the issue.

The Attorney general, Former Phoenix Mayor, Terry “The Tool” Goddard, did everything he could to ignore it.

She’s got promoted to the Obama Cabinet.

He wants to run for Governor, again!

God Help us all.

So after the outrage that stunned Congress into retreat on Amnesty they promised to built more fence along the Southern border.

I knew they’d never do it.

And reports now surface that, guess what, there has been a delay.

Gee what a shock.

The 2006 Secure Fence Act mandated the “possible” construction of a long wall to protect our frontier. Four years later, no wall, just a new seven-year delay.

Gee, no one saw that coming…

Citizen activists shut down the Capitol Hill switchboard with their calls, formed border watches and marched in the streets. As a result, a shaken Congress scrapped its widely detested McCain-Kennedy comprehensive immigration bill with its amnestylike features in 2005. Instead, it passed Rep. Duncan Hunter’s Secure Fence Act of 2006.

“We hear you, loud and clear,” said reform bill advocate John McCain. Today, it’s a different attitude from Congress and the government that carries out its laws.

Knowing the potency of popular sentiment, the government hasn’t had the nerve to seek to repeal the fence outright. But all signs suggest that it never wanted this built.

It has just quietly faded away.

With bureaucratic delays, cost overruns, general incompetence and a “can’t do” spirit, officials have effectively scuppered the fence without politically costly legislation.

But they kept their jobs.

Oh, and speaking of Jobs, the “bi-partisan” jobs bill that Sen. Harry Reid emasculated passed.

It has no provisions in it for not hot hiring Illegals.

So you hire an Illegal for a year, get the tax break, and then fire them next year.

Way to stimulate Job growth their guys!!

“It was a great idea, but it didn’t work,” Mark Borkowski, chief of the electronic fence program, told the L.A. Times.

Oh, it worked perfectly.

It got the Congress out of tight spot, got the issue “resolved” so that it didn’t hurt them during the 2008 Presidential campaign while they were yelling “racist” at anyone who dared to disagree with Obama and you had the truly cowed McCain unable to strike any kind of spine because of it.

It worked perfectly.

It was never designed to deal with Illegals.

That’s what Amnesty is for.

As I have said repeatedly, the Democrats will want to pass Amnesty for the Illegals because they are predominately, Hispanic, from socilaistic countries, poor, and willing to tow the Democrat party line.

You have La Raza and others “advocacy” groups to intimidate anyone who dares get in their way.

You have ACORN to sign them up and to herd them to voting booths.

Imagine what 12+ Million new Democrats would do for elections in this country.

The Democrats would be in power for generations, possibly forever. By sheer numbers.

Because Amnesty would not stop the illegals, and you’d have more rounds of it, and more and more Democrats.

It would be self-perpetuating.

Sounds like a Democrats heart’s desire.

And it would destroy this country.

And if they have control of your health care, your taxes, your environment (Cap & trade), your energy, your car…

They own your life.

Gee, that sounds like the America we all grew up with, doesn’t it 😦

It took the U.S. a tad more than eight years from the announcement in 1961 to put a man on the moon. Now we can’t build a fence in seven?

Because there is no political will to do it.

Congress, especially Democrats, but also Republicans, don’t want to touch Illegal Immigration.

They fear the Hispanics.

So they roll over and play dead.

They don’t fear the public on Health care.

So they will cram that down your throat.

They will pass a jobs bill that is weak and puny to make it look they are “doing something”. But that’s just for show.

It’s not what you, the people want.

It’s what they want that matters.

Government for the Government, By the Government, for the Government.

You’re just cattle.

And the Illegals, they are the “future”, because they are poor, undereducated, socialists who will do their bidding.

I should say, given the recent studies of the liberalism in schools that Education is also do the same thing to the next generations of students.

The Frog will not turn into handsome Prince. He’ll just give you warts. Then charge you for their removal.

Sorry for being depressing.

So it is even more imperative that you hold this anger until November and then unleash it.

Then if the Republican do win significantly, hold their feet to the fire.

As much as I detest the Progressives for being Socialists, the real enemy is the whole corrupt political class. For over 150 years, America has been basically stuck in neutral with only Republicans and Democrats to choose from. Both parties cycle through periods of extremism to moderation, depending on how much they think they can get away with.
