When RINO’s Attack

The Republican leadership in the House of Representatives has cut a deal with Senate Democrats on a government funding bill that will permit funding for the implementation of President Obama’s unilateral amnesty of as many as five million illegal aliens through at least Feb. 27, 2015.

Jar Jar Boehner and the RINO chickensh*ts didn’t have any courage or convictions, yet again.

They kicked the can down the road so they could have the rest of the month off. Gee, I wish my job was that easy.

Just feed your grandmother to the Raveneous BugBlatter Beast of Traal and call it a day. Victory is ours…

By contrast, the bill also uses Congress’s power of the purse to prohibit the administration from moving forward with regulations that would effectively outlaw incandescent light bulbs.

In short, the deal says: Yes to amnesty, no to light bulb regulations.

Well, incandescent bulbs are so much more important than ILLEGAL aliens and so much easier to stand on principle for on the weak minded Republican RINOs.

Maybe we should just start calling them the “Dem Bulb” Republicans. 🙂

House Appropriations Chairman Hal Rogers and Senate Appropriations Chairwoman Barbara Mikulski issued a joint statement applauding their “bipartisan” accomplishment in completing the spending deal.

And yet again, Bi-Partisan means the Democrats got everything they wanted and the RINO’s caved like a House made out of rice noodles.

The minority will be running Congress by February 2015. Bet on it. And when they are totally ineffectiveb the Democrats will blame them for it. Gee, I wonder if the RINOs could see that coming?

“After months of thorough, business-like, sometimes tough but always civil negotiations, we have reached a responsible, bipartisan and bicameral agreement on funding for government operations for 2015,” said Rogers and Mikulski in their statement. “This bill fulfills our constitutional duty to fund the government, preventing damage from shutdown politics that are bad for the economy, cost jobs and hurt middle class families.”

Civil? “Do what we want or you’ll get the blame for a government shutdown” is not “civil” but it is by-partisan. 🙂

The last shutdown cost 1 job. ONE!

So do you think the middle class will be hurt by 5 million new Welfare families and their cheap labor??

Naw..Never happen… 🙂

By cutting a deal with Senate Democrats to fund almost all of the government through the end of fiscal 2015, the House Republican leadership has taken away from the incoming Republican majorities in both houses of Congress any control over spending in those parts of the government through Sept. 30–and also any leverage that the Republican Congress could have derived from its power of the purse over these parts of the government to force the administration to alter its policies.

They effectively self-neutered themselves into ineffectiveness.

By cutting a deal to fund the Department of Homeland Security through Feb. 27, the House Republican leadership has given President Obama more than two and a half months to move forward with his unilateral amnesty of illegal aliens. During that time, Obama will be able to give illegal aliens visas and Social Security Numbers. (CNS)

No harm there, right? 🙂

So the RINOs have effectively done a self-mutilation so they can complain about how bad Obama is, but when  it comes to actually DOING ANYTHING, that’s the last thing they wanted to and now the last thing they will do.

It’s much safer than standing on principle. Don’t want to make the tyrannical bullies mad at you, now do we?

No Leadership. No initiative. Just play nice with the authoritarian-bomb wheedling psycho Democrats. You don’t want to upset them.

Let’s all just try and get along…

It will be a lot of sound and fury signifying nothing.

Then they we self-sabotage themselves for the 2016 Presidency with some milktoast “moderate” RINO and Queen Hillary and the Democrats will have a “miraculous” comeback and the Republicans will be history.

And they did it to themselves, and by extension, The American People.

But they saved the incandescent light bulb! Hurray!!

After all, that’s what they were elected for, right? 🙂

man's in-laws in Lebanon have cut off his penis because they ...

Political Cartoon

Woo-Hoo! The Democrats blinked. This time.

Half darn.

We get the pork laden Stimulus II, known as the “Tax Deal”. But we don’t get the 6,488 earmark pork laden Omnibus Bill.

So we get $1 trillion in spending instead of 2. Yipeee….

But I guess it’s a start.

But what is fun is the President went to mat for TAX “CUTS” for “The Rich”. How Bush of him. 🙂

And watching the Democrats rail against Deficit spending is a cynics wet dream of hilarity. Nothing on earth is this funny for a cynic like me.

And their sanctimony about the earmarks was just hilarious.

Obama is telling members of Congress that failure to pass the tax-cut legislation could result in the end of his presidency, Rep. Peter DeFazio (Ore.) said. (remember that from the health care cram down)

“The White House is putting on tremendous pressure, making phone calls, the president is making phone calls saying this is the end of his presidency if he doesn’t get this bad deal,” he told CNN’s Eliot Spitzer.

But the White House shot back late on Wednesday.

“The president hasn’t said anything remotely like that and has never spoken with Mr. DeFazio about the issue,” said White House spokesman Tommy Vietor.

Obama’s push shows that the president is going to the mat in order to push through Congress the compromise brokered with Republicans. (The Hill)

And the 111th Congress has the lowest approval rating since most of them were 60’s hippie radicals. Gallup reports it at 13%.

Even the super liberals over at CBS and The New York Times has it at 17%.

But it’s not like this Congress actually gave a crap about what anyone thought because the Agenda was The Agenda.

Political Cartoon

Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, DREAM Act, and START are much more important to Liberals. They are on The Agenda!

They just didn’t have the votes for the Omnibus Pork bill. Otherwise, Harry Reid was threatening to keep everyone through Christmas hostage until they passed their agenda (and still is because this was only 1 of the items).

“We have a constitutional duty to do congressionally directed spending and I don’t want to give up that responsibility,” Reid told reporters. “I can’t understand why some of our more conservative members here want to give up their power. I don’t understand that.”
So Harry believes that he has a Constitutional duty to pass Pork after Pork after Pork.
To bring home the Bacon.
It’s the Drug Dealer and Drug Addict in him rationalizing his Drug Use.
“But it was only a small amount”… “It’s no big deal”…
These guys needs a 1-step program: Just Say No!
They’ll have delirium tremens that will shake the earth out of orbit. But it would be worth it if we could pull it off.
But We the People who have been hooked on thi money by the Pusher Addicts in Washington also have to stop.

Jim Manley, spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, agreed, though with a far less triumphant tone.

“Today’s maneuvers demonstrate that the House and Senate Republican leadership from here on out should be considered a wholly owned subsidiary of the Tea Party,” Manley said.

What’s wrong with that? The People are the Tea Party.

It’s better than the Democrats who are a wholly owned subsidiary of The Marxist Left.

Michelle Malkin: No matter how soothing the White House overtures to business leaders sounded this week, an inconvenient fact remains: Washington is gripped by crab-in-the-bucket syndrome. And there’s no cure in sight.

Put a single crab in an uncovered bucket, and it will find a way to climb up and out on its own. Put a dozen crabs in a bucket, and 11 will fight with all their might to pull down the striver who attempts escape. President Obama sought to reassure 20 CEOs that he wasn’t the king crab holding them down: “I want to dispel any notion we want to inhibit your success,” he cooed. “We want to be boosters because when you do well, America does well.”

Take it all with a huge grain of sea salt.

This is, after all, the same “booster” who in April mused openly about limits on profits, government determinations for what constitutes a “good” product or service, and the expectation that private businesses serve a collective need to goose Washington’s jobs numbers. “I mean, I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money,” the president said. “But, you know, part of the American way is, you know, you can just keep on making it if you’re providing a good product or providing good service. We don’t want people to stop, ah, fulfilling the core responsibilities of the financial system to help grow our economy.”

Our Founding Fathers had quite a different view of “the American way,” of course. In 1816, Thomas Jefferson wrote: “To take from one, because it is thought his own industry and that of his fathers has acquired too much, in order to spare to others, who, or whose fathers, have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first principle of association, the guarantee to everyone the free exercise of his industry and the fruits acquired by it.”

But like a success inhibitor injected into the body politic, Obama’s policies have only served to suppress growth, punish ambition and discourage profit-maximizers. He has railed against “fat cats” on Wall Street while protecting his favored financial industry benefactors. He threatened to “kick” the “a**es” of oil industry executives while refusing to punish the scientific lies and distortions of his own job-killing environmental czars and bureaucrats. He inveighed against the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for collecting dues from international affiliates while ignoring the same practices among deep-pocketed unions. And he bemoaned tax relief for “millionaires and billionaires” that would actually benefit wealth-producing couples who annually earn more than $250,000 and individuals who earn $200,000 or more.

Most small-business owners will tell you they don’t want Obama “boosting” them. They just want him to get out of the way. But none of them was represented at his CEO shindig. Instead, among the business “leaders” the White House invited was billionaire Penny Pritzker — a Chicago crony, Democratic fundraiser/bundler and heiress whose family co-owned a failed subprime specialty bank.

While Obama, the olive-branch poseur, has called for a restoration of “civility” in Washington and liberal elites whine and whinny about the need for “no labels,” class-warfare demagoguery has metastasized unchecked.

Socialist Bernie Sanders took to the Senate floor to filibuster tax relief for all Americans last week in a ponderous, eight-and-a-half-hour harangue against “greed,” the “rich,” “richer” and “richest,” and “millionaires and billionaires” he had the audacity to liken to “bandits.” On the House side, N.Y. Democratic Rep. Joe Crowley attacked the GOP as the party of the wealthy and compared all people who earn more than $250,000 a year to the late convicted tax evader Leona Helmsley and her Maltese doggie heir.

The left wastes no opportunity to blame tea party and talk radio rhetoric for violent acts by lone nuts. But when a suspected serial arsonist (still on the loose) burns down expensive homes in an upscale Cape Cod neighborhood and spray-paints “f**k the rich” graffiti at the crime scenes, the “words-have-consequences” crowd is nowhere to be found. Such is the silence of the crabs.

The Silence of The Crabs… 🙂

All I Want For Christmas is My 6,488 Earmarks!

The Democrats have decided what they want for Christmas. Your front teeth and everything else you and the next several generations own.

They have stuffed their own stockings full of joy (for them).

They want to go out on a drug induced high.

They don’t care if Santa thinks they’ve been naughty.

THE LAST FEAST: 6,488 EARMARKS

$575.13 million per page

Political Cartoon

Senate Democrats have filed a $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill that would fund the government through fiscal year 2011, according to Senate GOP sources.

Then there’s the DREAM ACT, Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, etc. They are vastly more important than the debt or deficit!

And if we don’t get them, we’ll stay here until January 5th and hold our breath and turn blue until you kiss our buts!

The package drew a swift rebuke from Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), chairman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee.

“The attempt by Democrat leadership to rush through a nearly 2,000-page spending bill in the final days of the lame-duck session ignores the clear will expressed by the voters this past election,” Thune said in a statement. “This bill is loaded up with pork projects and should not get a vote. Congress should listen to the American people and stop this reckless spending.

The Senate bill, though, boosts spending by $16 billion.

“We’re not through. Congress ends on Jan. 4,” said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat.

So we’ll keep you HOSTAGE until the very last second to pass our Agenda or else!

We are going to squeeze you and everyone else to the last possible second to get our Ideological Obsessions done whether you like it or not.

Screw the Elections! F*ck the Voters! Sh*t on going quietly into the night! Up Yours! 🙂

We want what we want and when we want it and we don’t give a crap about anything else!

Up Yours!

We love earmarked-to-your-death 2,000 page bills!

“Mr. President, at 12:15 p.m. this afternoon, my office received a copy of the omnibus appropriations bill. It is 1,924 pages long and contains the funding for all 12 of the annual appropriations bills for a grand total of over $1.1 Trillion. It is important to note that the 1,924 pages is only the legislative language and does not include the thousands of pages of report language which contain the details of the billions of dollars in earmarks and, I’m sure, countless policy riders.

“While we continue to uncover which earmarks the appropriators decided to fund – thanks to a new online database – we at least know what earmarks were requested by Members and how much those projects would cost the American people if they were all funded. Taxpayers against Earmarks, http://www.washingtonwatch.com and Taxpayers for Common Sense joined forces to create this database. According to the data they compiled – for fiscal year 2011 Members requested over 39,000 earmarks totaling over $130 billion. Absolutely disgraceful. I encourage every American to go to the website http://www.endingspending.com study it, and make yourselves aware of how your elected officials seek to spend your money.

“In the short time I’ve had to review this massive piece of legislation – I’ve identified approximately 6,488 earmarks totaling nearly $8.3 billion. Here is a small sample:

$277,000 for potato pest management in Wisconsin
$246,000 for bovine tuberculosis in Michigan and Minnesota
$522,000 for cranberry and blueberry disease and breeding in New Jersey
$500,000 for oyster safety in Florida
$349,000 for swine waste management in North Carolina
$413,000 for peanut research in Alabama
$247,000 for virus free wine grapes in Washington
$208,000 beaver management in North Carolina
$94,000 for blackbird management in Louisiana
$165,000 for maple syrup research in Vermont
$235,000 for noxious weed management in Nevada
$100,000 for the Edgar Allen Poe Cottage Visitor’s Center in New York
$300,000 for the Polynesian Voyaging Society in Hawaii
$400,000 for solar parking canopies and plug-in electric stations in Kansas

“Additionally, the bill earmarks $727,000 to compensate ranchers in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan whenever endangered wolves eat their cattle. As my colleagues know, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Gray Wolf program is under intense scrutiny for wasting millions of taxpayer dollars every year to ‘recover’ endangered wolves that are now overpopulating the West and Midwest. My State of Arizona has a similar wolf program but ranchers in my state aren’t getting $727,000 in this bill.

“Mr. President, I will have much more to say about this bill later this week. I assure my colleagues – we will spend a great deal of time talking about this bill and the outrageous number of earmarks it contains. But for now let me just say this: it is December 14th – we are 22 days away from the beginning of a new Congress and nearly three full months into fiscal year 2011 – and yet we have not debated a single spending bill or considered any amendments to cut costs or get our debt under control. Furthermore, the majority decided that they just didn’t feel like doing a budget this year. How is that responsible leadership?

“This is the ninth omnibus appropriations bill we have considered in this body since 2000. That is shameful and we should be embarrassed by the fact that we care so little about doing the people’s business that we continuously put off fulfilling our constitutional responsibilities until the very last minute.

“One thing is abundantly clear to me – that the majority has not learned the lessons of last month’s election. The American people could not have been more clear. They are tired of wasteful spending. They are tired of big government. They are tired of sweetheart deals for special interests. They are tired of business as usual in Washington. And they are tired of massive bills – just like this one – put together behind closed doors, and rammed through the Congress at the last moment so that no one has the opportunity to read them and no one really knows what kind of waste is in them.

“Let me be clear about one thing – if the Majority Leader insists on proceeding to this monstrosity – the American people will know what’s in it. I will be joined by many of my colleagues on this side of the aisle to ensure that every single word of this bill is read aloud here on the Senate floor.

“I encourage my friends on the other side of the aisle to rethink their strategy and move forward with a short-term continuing resolution to fund the government into next year when a new Congress takes over – a Congress that was elected by the American people on November 2nd. “The majority may be able to strong arm enough members into voting for this omnibus – but they will not win in the end. The American people will remember – and I predict that we will see a repeat of November 2nd in the very near future.” (Sen. John McCain)

OBAMACARE UPDATE

The newest defense of the Health Care Mandate: Auto Insurance!

They are not even remotely the same thing.

I wrote a blog about this 15 months ago when they trotted this crap out the last time: https://indyfromaz.wordpress.com/2009/10/01/the-bad-analogy/

But let me just hit you with Point#1 that blows the whole argument to pieces in seconds:

If you don’t have a car, you don’t need or are required by law to have auto insurance!

Just try that under Obama’s Health Care. You’ll be hearing the jackboots of the IRS stomping on your face very soon…

Q.E.D. 🙂

And these are supposed to be bright people?

They are, but their Ideology is so far up their arse that it has throttled their brainpower.

And they don’t care, because they are vastly superior to you!
