The FCC announced on Friday that it would back off its planned study of U.S. newsrooms in which monitors would be dispatched to gather information on how they operate. Even so, Greta Van Susteren on Friday decided to answer the questionnaire that would have been included in the study as honestly as she could.

The first question: “What is the news philosophy of the station?”

Van Susteren’s answer: “None of your business, read the Constitution.”

Question No. 2: “How much news does your station air every day?”

“Watch and figure it out yourself, I’m not doing your work for you,” she responded.

The third question from the proposed FCC study: “Who decides which stories are covered?”

Van Susteren’s familiar answer: “None of your business, read the Constitution.”

“Read the Constitution is what they should’ve done before they even did this study,” she added

But when the Government agency that can ruin you overnight comes “inquiring” about how you do your job there are no “innocent” questions and it’s not the least bit “funny”.

Of the 5 Commissioners who approve new organizations license every 8 years 3 are Democrats. But don’t worry, there’s no agenda here when they talk about “protecting the rights of minorities”. 🙂

The purpose of the CIN, according to the FCC, is to ferret out information from television and radio broadcasters about “the process by which stories are selected” and how often stations cover “critical information needs,” along with “perceived station bias” and “perceived responsiveness to underserved populations.”

Aka, the Liberal Progressive Social AGENDA.

As Thomas Jefferson so eloquently said, “our liberty depends on the freedom of the press, and that cannot be limited without being lost.”

Wanna know what MSDNC has as their top story today, “Stand Your Ground Laws” and “Bridgegate” in New Jersey! (who the F*ck cares about that stupid ass story to begin with?–Liberals it fuels their hatred of the “Not We”). Do you think they feel threatened by the FCC?

Nope. They are already the Ministry of Truth.

Put in “FCC” and it comes up with some lame ass story about a Baseball player saying the F-Word in a stadium speech!

They mock Fox’s Megyn Kelly for calling the story “crazy” and 1 commenter says the party line: “I can see where a so-called news network that makes up stories out of whole cloth would be worried about this.”

Megyn Kelly is afraid that a bunch of Non- White feds dressed as Santa’s will start showing up in Fox News rooms.uninvited.”

You can’t even find the story on NBC News Website. But they will tell you about The Democrats wanting to bring back the defeated “Net Neutrality”. 🙂

ABC will talk about the FCC and Cellphones on Airplanes, just not about monitors in the newsroom.

CNN’s top story, The Olympics!

That tells you all you need to know.

Are you now of have you ever been…?

Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid!

Think like the Media

Did the hear about the massacre that was avert 2 days ago?

Probably not. Since no violent, sociopathic Tea Party member was potentially the shooter and the target was a Conservative group the liberal media isn’t interested in covering as the victim.

http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_21326781/security-guard-called-hero-thwarting-family-resource-council

ABC was the only broadcast network that offered a full story on the FRC office shooting on Wednesday night. They led with the story and gave it two and a half minutes. None of the network newscasts reported the breaking detail that shooter Floyd Corkins volunteered for six months at the D.C. Center for the LGBT Community, adding depth to his political motivation.

On NBC Nightly News, Brian Williams gave the story just 17 seconds: “In Washington today, police say a man with a gun walked into the offices of the conservative lobbying group the Family Research Council, and opened fire. He never made it past the lobby. He shot a security guard in the arm before the guard was able to subdue him.”

On CBS Evening News, substitute anchor Bob Schieffer offered 20 seconds: “A gunman opened fire today at the Washington headquarters of the Family Research Council, a conservative Christian lobbying group. The man shot a security guard in the arm before that guard and others tackled him, and he was arrested. Police say that the suspect made negative comment about the council’s work just before the shooting.”

Does anyone believe that under the same circumstances — hostile ideological shooter captured after security guard only shot in the arm — a conservative nut attacking a gay activist group or abortion advocacy group would draw just 20 seconds?

They can say they covered it. But Did Brian Ross jumped to a Tea Party Conclusion here? Did they cover it for days with endless speculations?

Nope. It was 20 seconds and gone. Who cares. Not them. No “gun violence” story here for them to brow beat people with and “agonize” over.

On both NBC and CBS, the FRC brief was followed by a full story promoting President Obama’s new deferral program for illegal alien “Dream Act” students. NBC gave that two minutes, CBS two minutes and fifty seconds. (Newsbusters)

But don’t worry, they aren’t biased. 🙂
ABC NEWS: Sources have identified the suspect as Floyd Corkins of Herndon, Virginia, but so far, his motives are unclear.

They are very clear. The shooter admitted to them. But the liberal media doesn’t like this aspect so they’ll ignore it.
Sources say the suspect had material from fast food giant Chick-fil-A in his bag, but it was unclear whether today’s incident has any connection to the recent controversy over gay marriage.

Yeah, let’s not jump to conclusions like Brian Ross, your ABC News colleague did with the Aurora Shooting… 🙂

AP: Corkins had been volunteering for about the past six months at The DC Center for the LGBT Community, said David Mariner, executive director of the community center, which is in Northwest Washington. He usually staffed the center’s front desk on Saturdays, and his most recent shift was about two weeks ago.

“He always struck me as a kind, gentle and unassuming young man. I’m very surprised that he could be involved in something like this,” Mariner said….

Ah, I bet he loves puppies and unicorns too. Not like those violent, hateful racist bigots in the Tea Party!!
The Southern Poverty Law Center decided in 2010 to place the FRC on its list of hate groups for its rhetoric on gays.
Janet Napalitano and Homeland Security think Tea Partiers are “right wing terrorists”. But this guy is an aberrations and nice, quiet guy who did something unfortunate.
“There are unconfirmed reports that the shooting was ideologically motivated,” said Richard Cohen, the president of the SPLC, in a statement.
Despite numerous reports that the shooter was very specifically politically motivated.
No bias here.
The motivation and circumstances behind today’s tragedy are still unknown LGBT Organization quickly said.
But just minutes after the Aurora shooting Brian Ross is looking for a Tea Party Member to blames. The same in Tucson.
No bias here.
And Another Laugh from MSDNC:“That really bothered me,” MSNBC’s Toure’ said. “You notice he said anger twice. He’s really trying to use racial coding and access some really deep stereotypes about the angry black man. This is part of the playbook against Obama, the ‘otherization,’ he’s not like us.”“I know it’s a heavy thing, I don’t say it lightly, but this is ‘niggerization,’” Touré said to the apparent shock of his co-panelists. “You are not one of us, you are like the scary black man who we’ve been trained to fear.”

“This is not a revolutionary comment,” Touré later said. “This is a constituency all-white party that rejects the black vote.”

But he’s not calling them racists and he certainly isn’t one. Kettle anyone?

Ann Coulter: My smash best-seller “Demonic: How the Liberal Mob Is Endangering America” has just come out in paperback — and not a moment too soon! Democrats always become especially mob-like during presidential election campaigns. The “root cause” of the Democrats’ wild allegations against Republicans, their fear of change, their slogans and insane metaphors, are all explained by mass psychology, diagnosed more than a century ago by the French psychologist Gustave Le Bon, on whose work much of my own book is based.Le Bon’s 1896 book, “The Crowd: A Study of the Popular Mind,” was carefully read by Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini in order to learn how to incite mobs. Our liberals could have been Le Bon’s study subjects.

With the country drowning in debt and Medicare and Social Security on high-speed bullet trains to bankruptcy, the entire Democratic Party refuses to acknowledge mathematical facts. Instead, they incite the Democratic mob to hate Republicans by accusing them of wanting to kill old people.

According to a 2009 report — before Obama added another $5 trillion to the national debt — Obama’s own treasury secretary, Tim Geithner, stated that in less than 10 years, spending on major entitlement programs, plus interest payments on the national debt, would consume 92 cents of every dollar in federal revenue.

That means no money for an army, a navy, rockets, national parks, food inspectors, air traffic controllers, highways, and so on. Basically, the entire federal budget will be required just to pay for Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security — and the cost of borrowing money to pay for these programs.

When Social Security was enacted in 1935, the average lifespan was 61.7 years. Today, it’s almost 79 and rising. But liberals believe the age at which people can begin collecting Social Security must never, ever be changed, even to save Social Security itself.

Mobs, according to Le Bon, have a “fetish-like respect” for tradition, except moral traditions because crowds are too impulsive to be moral. That’s why liberals say our Constitution is a “living, breathing” document that sprouts rights to gay marriage and abortion, but the age at which Social Security and Medicare benefits kick in is written in stone.

Le Bon says that it is lucky “for the progress of civilization that the power of crowds only began to exist when the great discoveries of science and industry had already been effected.” If “democracies possessed the power they wield today at the time of the invention of mechanical looms or of the introduction of steam-power and of railways, the realization of these inventions would have been impossible.”

Liberals exhibit this exact group-think fear of science not only toward light bulbs and nuclear power, but also toward medical inventions. Thus, when a majority of the country objected to Obamacare on the grounds that — among many other reasons — a government takeover of health care would destroy medical innovation, liberals stared in blank incomprehension.
They believe every drug, every diagnosis, every therapy, every cure that will ever be invented, has already been invented. Their job is to spread all the existing cures, while demonizing and stymieing pharmaceutical companies that make money by inventing new drugs.

Democrats haven’t the slightest concern about who will formulate new remedies because they are enraged at profit-making and suspicious of scientific advancement.

Apart from cures that will never be invented, liberal elites will be mostly untouched by the rotten medical care to which they are consigning the rest of us. Note how Democrats’ friends, such as government unions, immediately received waivers from Obamacare. Rich or connected liberals, such as George Soros, Warren Buffett, Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama, will always have access to the best doctors, just as Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez do.

It is similar to the way that Democrats, who refuse to pass school choice, always seem to bypass the disastrous public schools for their own children, who end up at Sidwell Friends or St. Albans.
Democrats don’t worry about how bankrupting Social Security and destroying the job market hurts black people, bitter divorcees and young people, because they can always demagogue these one-party Democratic voters simply by repeating that Republicans are racist, hate women and aren’t cool like Obama.

The truth is irrelevant; only slogans and fear-mongering delight mobs.

The rest of us are forced to live in a lawless universe of no new pharmaceuticals, foreign doctors, gay marriage, girl soldiers, a health care system run by the post office, and bankrupt Social Security and Medicare systems, because liberals can’t enjoy their wealth unless other people are living in squalor.

The country will have the economy of Uganda, but Democrats will be in total control.

And they would be soo happy. And you want to be happy now don’t you Citizen…

Reality Is a Dish Best Served Cold

When asked yesterday whether she agreed or disagreed with one of the world’s top climate-change scientists that there had been no statistically significant global warming over the last fifteen years, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Administrator Jane Lubchenco would only say “that it is inappropriate to look at any particular short period of time to discern the long-term trend.”

In fact, Lubchenco twice avoided directly answering a yes-no question as to whether she agreed with the observation that there has been no statistically significant global warming over the last decade and a half. (CNS)

But in 1975, it was Global Cooling. I guess it all depends on the liberal definition of “short term” which means they can change it on a dime (because it became Global Warming well before 15 years after Cooling) but you can’t point out to them that they are wrong anyways.

Reality is not a liberals strong suit.

Environmental concerns have caused one high-ranking UN official to declare that “the West” does not need more cars, televisions, and other consumer luxuries.

United Nations Development Programme head Helen Clark told AFP in an interview: “So the issue is how to get human development that will see it continue to rise for the world’s poorest people and people in developing countries. Because frankly human development in the West – we don’t need more cars, more TV, whatever. Our needs are by and large satisfied, although the recession has put a lot of strains on that.”

Clark, the former prime minister of New Zealand, also stressed the responsibility of richer countries to reduce their environmental footprint: “There is, in my opinion, a very heavy responsibility on the countries of the north to look at how they sustain their living standards with a much lower environmental footprint.”

Could that be with redistribution and environmental whacko regulations to strangle everyone?? 🙂

And if you think the Liberal Media will be fair to anyone or anything they don’t like, well, get a load of this…

Barack Obama’s adoring cheerleaders at NBC are back in the editing room distorting the truth, and, not surprisingly, Andrea Mitchell has the gall to make no apologies for it.

First it was their vile attempt to make George Zimmerman sound like a racist to gin up racial conflict, and now they’ve set their sights on Mitt Romney who they’re desperately trying to paint as an out-of-touch, silver spoon Republican wowed by Wawa sandwiches.

This is a brazen attempt by NBC’s Andrea Mitchell to create a modern “supermarket scanner” moment for Mitt Romney where one clearly does not exist. This “gaffe” is a complete fabrication deliberately perpetrated by MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Reports. Her attempt to right this wrong by playing a few more seconds of video today is a slap in the face. Romney was making a valid point about the efficiency of private sector innovation. He was not amazed that he could order a sandwich with a touchscreen. His message is clear as day to anyone who watches the full video of his stump speech, and should sicken anyone who compares it to Mitchell’s sensational hatchet job.

And remember, she’s a “journalist” 🙂

Now comes the non-apology apology from a devout Liberal who doesn’t mean a word of it because she was proud of her hatchet job but has to keep up the pretense that she is a “journalist”.

She plays a few seconds after their cutesy cut BUT nothing before it! and then blows it off and just continues like it was nothing.

Because to a devout Liberal Obama hack it was nothing. It was beneath her to even do it. But the pretense has to be maintained.

Another “journalist”: “What the President’s got to do is say, ‘Hey, don’t forget about George W. Bush. Things got really, really bad under him.'” –NBC’s Meet The Press Host David Gregory.

Co-host Matt Lauer was skeptical: “I hear him saying that all the time….do you think that strategy works, the blame Bush strategy, or do people want you to take ownership of this economy at this stage?” Gregory was undeterred: “…they’ve got to prevail in providing context. Saying, ‘Look, it’s not about blaming the previous president, it’s that the hill was so high to climb. And we’re making some progress but the hole is still so deep.'”

I can tell you what’s deep…The Bovine Fecal Matter and the media bias that’s a blackhole at NBC.

2011, David Gregory: “How does the President try to harness this anger, this sense of unfairness about the economy, about income inequality in this country, about the middle class stagnating for the past 30 years? That’s what the President wants to try to tap into here.”

So the Middle class was stagnating under Bill Clinton and the Democrats. Good to know. 🙂

Thomas Sowell: Many people may have voted for Barack Obama in 2008 because of his charisma. But anyone familiar with the disastrous track record of charismatic political leaders around the world in the 20th century should have run for the hills when they encountered a politician with charisma.

What is scarier than any particular political policy or issue is the widespread tendency to treat political issues as personal contests in talking points — competitive skill in fencing with words — rather than as serious attempts to find out what the facts are and what the options are.

For a long time, Democrats have gone to Washington to win at all costs, while too many Republicans went to Washington to compromise with Democrats. The rise of the Tea Party may change that.

Increasing numbers of people seem to have convinced themselves that they are entitled to a “fair share” of what someone else has earned. Whole nations now seem to think that they should be bailed out from the consequences of their own reckless spending by nations that lived within their means.

Wishful thinking is not idealism. It is self-indulgence at best and self-exaltation at worst. In either case, it is usually at the expense of others. In other words, it is the opposite of idealism.

So the “journalism” “crusader” is dead.

Governor Mike Huckabee (2009): I’m sad to report today a death of a good friend to all of us…..Journalism, the once esteemed 4th estate of our nation and the protector of our freedoms and a watchdog of our rights has passed away after a long struggle with a crippling and debilitating disease of acute dishonesty aggravated by advanced laziness and the loss of brain function.

Amen.

Victor Davis Hanson: Obama simply cannot run on 40 months of 8 percent–plus unemployment, a June 2009 recovery that sputtered, $5 trillion in new debt, serial $1 trillion–plus annual deficits, and dismal GDP growth. Few believe any more that what he and the Democratic Congress passed in the first two years of his administration worked — and fewer still that the Republicans are to blame in the last 17 months for stopping him from pursuing even more disastrous policies. He cannot turn instead to the advantages of Obamacare, a dynamic foreign policy, national-security sobriety, a scandal-free administration, or stellar presidential appointments. The furor over security leaks makes it harder to keep conjuring up the ghost of Osama bin Laden.
What then to expect if the race remains tight or Obama finds himself behind?1. There will be lots more “the dog ate my homework” excuses for the dismal economy. The troubles in the EU, the Japanese tsunami, the East Coast earthquake, ATM machines, Wall Street, inclement weather, the Republican Congress, the Tea Party, and George W. Bush have pretty much been exhausted. But there is always hurricane season, a Greek exit from the euro, or a Middle East flare-up. Expect sometime before October to hear that a new “they” upset the brilliant recovery and is to blame for the chronic economic lethargy. One of the strangest aspects of Obama’s rationalizations is their utter incoherence and illogic: He brags that America pumped more oil and gas under his watch, even as he did his best to stop just that on public lands; he brags that he put in fewer regulations than did Bush, even as he boasts that he reined in business; he brags that he had to borrow $5 trillion to grow government in order to save the country, even as he claims he reduced the size of government. Why does Obama try to take credit for things on Tuesday that he damned on Monday? Is his new campaign theme: Despite (rather than because of) Obama?

2. Mitt Romney is a tough target. If Obama once loudly admitted to abuse of coke, Romney quietly confesses to avoidance even of Coca-Cola. His personal life is blameless. His family seems the subject of a Norman Rockwell painting. And Romney has more or less succeeded at most things he has attempted. No matter, he is Mormon. Expect legions of Obama surrogates to focus on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, especially its supposed endemic racism, sexism, and homophobia. Religious bigotry is not especially liberal, but the race/class/gender agenda trumps all such qualms, and in any case Obama and his team have never claimed to be especially tolerant or fair-minded in using any means necessary to achieve noble ends. Whereas the Reverend Jeremiah Wright and Trinity Church were off the table in 2008, Mormonism will be very much on it by late summer.

3. We will read and hear about race 24/7. Racism is not an easy sell today, given that without tens of millions of white voters, Barack Obama would not have been elected. Nor is it easy to condemn America as racist when the white vote in 2008 was split far more evenly than were the 96 percent of African-American voters who preferred Barack Obama. Nonetheless, racial relations are at an all-time low. Almost weekly a member of the Congressional Black Caucus levels yet another bizarre charge of racism, and a Hollywood actor or singer blurts out something that would be deemed racially offensive were he not African-American; the polarization over the Trayvon Martin case threatens to overshadow the polarization over the O. J. Simpson trial; flash mobbing in the inner cities is as much daily fare on the uncensored Internet as it is absent from the network news; and both Barack Obama (the Skip Gates affair, the Trayvon Martin quip, the “punish our enemies” call, etc.) and Eric Holder (“cowards,” congressional oversight is racially motivated, “my people,” etc.) have made it a point to make race essential, not incidental, to their governance. If in 2008 liberals celebrated the election of Barack Obama as proof of a new postracial harmony, in 2012 a tight race will be cited as greater proof of a new ascendant racism. The idea that to elect Obama wins the nation racial exemption, and to defeat him earns condemnation, is illogical. No matter: By late fall, expect a desperate Obama administration to be dredging up the charge overtly, nonstop, and in person.

4. We should look for new furor against the “system” in direct proportion to the praise heaped on it in 2008 for being redeemed. The polls, if unfavorable, will be described as innately biased. The uncivil Rush Limbaugh, talk radio generally, Fox News, and tea-party bloggers, we will be lectured, are subversive, peddle hate, foment violence, and should be silenced. Whereas David Brooks, David Frum, Peggy Noonan, and Christopher Buckley were recommended reading in 2008, given their balanced and fair-minded critiques of George W. Bush and their appreciation of Barack Obama, in 2012 we will learn that they are right-wing attack dogs for losing their enthusiasm for the first-class mind and temperament of Barack Obama. Whereas a Pat Buchanan on MSNBC railing against Bush’s war and McCain’s neocon advisers was a reminder of how the libertarian Right has positive affinities with the liberal Left, in 2012 such a paleocon “racist” must be kept off the airwaves. Voter-registration laws and voter-ID requirements, remember, are designed to exclude the oppressed and must be relaxed. Advertising has warped American politics. Super PACs are Romney conspiracies. If big Wall Street money went for Obama in 2008 and thereby won investment banking and the stock market exemption from charges of greed and corruption, in 2012 investors may swing to Romney and thereby incite calls to rein in “big money” and furious op-eds about the toxic mix of politics and cash. If Romney outraises Obama, we will hear again the calls for public campaign financing, which were ignored when a cash-flush Obama renounced public financing in 2008. In 2008, academics, foundation people, the Hollywood crowd, journalists, and liberal politicians confessed that they had fallen in love again with an America that had proved it was not hopeless after all; in 2012, America may prove unsalvageable, with thousands vowing to move to Canada.

5. Suddenly around October the world will become absolutely unsafe. In these dangerous times, Americans must forget their differences, come together, and embrace a bipartisan unity — given that it may be necessary, after all, to hit the Iranian nuclear facilities, since we’ll have learned that the bomb may be a reality by, say, mid-November. Just as we have been reminded that Barack Obama has saved us by his brave decisions to use double agents in Yemen, computer viruses in Iran, Seal Team Six in Pakistan, and philosophically guided Predator assassination hits, so too a strike against Iran may suddenly be of vital national-security interest, though keenly lamented by a Nobel laureate nose-deep in Thomas Aquinas. Cancellation of the Keystone Pipeline delighted greens; the war on the war on women pleased feminists; gays are now on board after Barack Obama decided he really did favor gay marriage; Latinos got nearly a million illegal aliens exempted from immigration law. And yet all those partisan gifts have not yet resulted in a 50 percent approval rating or a lead over Mitt Romney. Something more dramatic is needed, given that there are only so many Obama heroics that can be cobbled together and leaked from classified sources.

We do not know who is going to win the 2012 election, only that it will be closer than the 2008 one — and if Obama keeps it up at his present rate he may destroy the Democratic party for a generation. There is no longer an incumbent George Bush to blame. Romney is a feistier candidate than was John McCain. Fundraising is no longer lopsided. The novelty of the first African-American president has become passé. And “hope and change” has been replaced by a concrete record of three and a half years. Given those realities, if his being an unknown quantity was a reason to vote for Barack Obama in 2008, his being all too familiar will be cause for rejecting him in 2012.

Unless the “journalist” persuade you that what they are selling is reality. It just doesn’t happen to be ACTUAL reality. And their “facts” are more laced with arsenic for those who disagree with their almighty selves than punch from Charles Manson.

The Ministry of Truth is on 24/7/365 full frontal assault mode. And they are proud of themselves.

Remember that.

The Genius of The Left

Who is going to pay for your house, car, dental care, health care, education, who pays for that?” Sean Hannity asked after his guest said all of these should be free. Occupy Wall Street Organizer Harrison Schultz replied, “Nobody! It’s free.”
Economic Genius!! The Next Nobel Prize for Economics folks! 🙂

The Perpetual Wealth Machine, it produces wealth without any production cost at all. It produces all from nothing!

Amazing! Maybe we can give him a Nobel Peace Prize, Like Obama, for solving the entire economic inequality equation.

Then the revelation that all the violence, drunkeness, and rapes in Zucotti Park last year were because the NYPD planted drunks, criminals and rapists there.

Wow!

FOOD POLICE

Some parents are calling school officials in Colorado “food Nazis” after they announced a ban on all sweets, including cupcakes, candy bars and even birthday cakes – unless the cakes are made with district-approved recipes.

School officials in Greeley, CO advised parents that new federal guidelines require all food served on grade school campuses to adhere to strict calorie counts.

“Fundraisers held at school are no longer allowed to include food items of any kind,” said Jenna Raymond, of the District 6 Nutrition Dept. “Rewards for children are to include gifts such as erasers and pencils.”

The Greeley County School district is even banning sweets at off-campus fundraisers.

“The only food items allowed to be sold for these types of fundraisers are those that meet the nutritional guidelines,” she told the Greeley Gazette.

That means no more sweet treats like cake at birthday parties or class holiday parties – unless the cake is made with a recipe approved by the school district.

“We have a recipe we use in the district that uses black beans and the kids love it,” Raymond told the newspaper.

“They’re dictating what I can send with my child for lunch – what I can give them for a treat at a school party,” she said. “I don’t believe that’s right. It’s my child. I should be able to feed them whatever I want. They’re not raising my child. They’re not paying for their orthodontic bills. They’re not tucking them in at night telling them they love them. But yet they’re telling me what I can and can’t feed my child?”

She said school officials are acting like “food Nazis.”

“This is how it starts,” she said. “The government is sticking their nose where they don’t exactly belong.”

“What are they going to start doing – checking every water bottle they bring in to make sure it’s not pop?” (FOX)

Maybe they can hire the TSA to check for “contraband”. What’s a little x-ray or a pat down when it’s about children’s health! 🙂
“It’s for the children”.
So was The Witch’s oven in “Hansel & Gretel” 🙂

And will the Adults follow the same guidelines. Of Course Not! That would be silly.

Don’t Do as I do, Do as I Say. And we are far better at running your life for you.

AL-Qaida endorses Ministry of Truth

Al-Qaida spokesman Adam Gadahn: Osama bin Laden pondered the merits of US television news channels as he considered how to extract the best propaganda benefit from the tenth anniversary of 9/11 last year, and concluded that CBS was “close to being unbiased”. (But he got killed first).

MSNBC as questionable after it fired one of its most prominent presenters, Keith Olbermann.

“I used to think that MSNBC channel may be good and neutral a bit, but is has lately fired two of the most famous journalists – Keith Olbermann” wrote Gadahn.

Gadhan describes ABC as “all right”:”Actually it could be one of the best channels, as far as we are concerned. It is interested in al-Qaida issues, particularly the journalist Brian Ross, who is specialised in terrorism. The channel is still proud for its interview with the shaykh (Bin Laden),” he said. “CBS channel was mentioned by the shaykh. I see that it is like the other channels, but it has a famous programme (60 Minutes) that has some popularity and a good reputation for its long broadcasting time.

“In general, and no matter what material we send, I suggest that we should distribute it to more than one channel, so that there will be healthy competition between the channels in broadcasting the material, so that no other channel takes the lead. It should be sent for example to ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN and maybe PBS and VOA. As for Fox News, let her die in her anger.” (UK Guardian)

PELOSI FOR HER STATE’S RIGHT TO TOKE!

Reacting to an ongoing crackdown on medical marijuana facilities in California, Pelosi said in a Wednesday statement, “I have strong concerns about the recent actions by the federal government that threaten the safe access of medicinal marijuana to alleviate the suffering of patients in California.”

The California Democrat said that medical marijuana is “both a medical and a states’ rights issue.”

Pelosi’s call for the federal government to respect the policy decisions of individual states contrasts with a brief filed with the Supreme Court in opposition to Arizona’s anti-illegal immigration law known as SB 1070. In the brief, Pelosi and other House Democrats argued that “Arizona impermissibly seeks to substitute its judgment and its priorities for those of Congress.”

“[E]ach of the disputed provisions of S.B. 1070 directly conflicts with the enactments and intent of Congress on vital issues of national interest,” the Democratic congressmen added. “As such, these provisions are preempted by federal law and therefore invalid.”

Amazing how IMBY (In MY back Yard) makes a difference. But she can imperiously pontificate about other people’s back yards.

ObamaCare, EPA, IRS, TSA…

Don’t Do As  I Do , Do as I Say!

Remember when Nancy Pelosi brought “poor,” (she’s rich) “23-year-old” (she’s 30) Georgetown Law student (she is also a feminist activist who specifically went to Georgetown, a Catholic University, with a goal of forcing the school to cover and pay for birth control despite moral opposition to doing so) Sandra Fluk before Congress to ask you to pay for her birth control because it was costing $3000 a year? And remember when Pelosi accused conservatives of waging a war on women because they didn’t want to pay for Fluke’s contraception and Pelosi then claimed Republicans wanted to strip all funding from women’s health programs? The Washington Post fact checker is crying fowl and asks “A GOP ‘assault’ on women’s health?” Yeah, not so much.

Here is Pelosi’s original statement:

“In order to pay for it, [House Republicans] are going to make an assault on women’s health, make another assault on women’s health, continue our assault on women’s health and pay for this with prevention initiatives that are in effect right now for childhood immunization; for screening for breast cancer, for cervical cancer; and for initiatives to reduce birth defects – a large part of what the Center for Disease Control does in terms of prevention.”

And here is WaPo’s analysis:

From Pelosi’s statement, one could imagine a wholesale “assault” to strip funding for women’s health programs. But in fact, there are virtually no specific programs aimed at women currently in the fund. In the future, the administration hopes to add such programs, but that is not the reality today, as evidenced by the fact the administration never raised this concern last year when the GOP-led House also voted to kill the preventive health care fund.

Pelosi could have raised concerns about perceived cuts in preventive health. She could have also noted that women benefit greatly from such efforts. But she — and fellow Democrats — went too far to label this “an assault on women’s health.” Maybe evidence of that will emerge through the regular appropriations process—at which point we could revisit this ruling — but for the moment this smacks of political opportunism.

The fascinating Genius of The Left folks. Bask in the “Superiority”.

April Fools

I would not dare try to do an April Fool’s Joke simply because no matter how outrageous and exaggerated I could be I could never match the reality of the Liberal Mind.

So with that in mind…

The “Dah!” moment of 2012 so far:

‘The unions don’t respect diversity of opinion.’- lawyer for janitor fired for “pro-Walker” bumper sign in her car.

http://townhall.com/video/women-fired-for-supporting-walker

Progressives and Liberals have no tolerance for diversity of thought.

“She told me that I was to take the sign out of the back window and put it on the floor of the car or I could park across the street.”

She refused to take the “Stand With Walker” sign down, pointing out that many other teachers had placed anti-Walker bumper stickers on their cars, apparently with no repercussion.

Her bosses’ daughter was also a teacher. The Teachers at the school complained. Hmmm….

Liberals: You have the Freedom to Think 100% exactly like us or ELSE YOU WILL SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES!

Michael Ramirez Cartoon

NBC told this blog today that it would investigate its handling of a piece on the “Today” show that ham-handedly abridged the conversation between George Zimmerman and a dispatcher in the moments before the death of Trayvon Martin. A statement from NBC:

“We have launched an internal investigation into the editorial process surrounding this particular story.”

Great news right there. As exposed by Fox News and media watchdog site NewsBusters, the “Today” segment took this approach to a key part of the dispatcher call:

Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black.

Here’s how the actual conversation went down:

Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. Or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around, looking about.

Dispatcher: OK, and this guy — is he black, white or Hispanic?

Zimmerman: He looks black.

The difference between what “Today” put on its air and the actual tape? Complete: In the “Today” version, Zimmerman volunteered that this person “looks black,” a sequence of events that would more readily paint Zimmerman as a racial profiler. In reality’s version, Zimmerman simply answered a question about the race of the person whom he was reporting to the police. Nothing prejudicial at all in responding to such an inquiry.

But that’s “journalism” for you. You can trust them to do “fair” and “balanced” “journalism” now can’t you! 🙂

So you can trust them on The economy, jobs, your health, Obamacare, etc. After all, they are not biased at at all. 🙂

So how much has he accomplished and how much will they accomplish if given the chance?

From the moment he stepped into office, Obama has used his power to redistribute capital and bring corporate America under state control. Among other things, he has:

Forced all large banks, including healthy ones, to take federal bailout money while forcing them to pass stress tests before they can get out from under state control.

Forced banks to renegotiate private mortgage contracts to forgive principal payments for customers while ordering the banks to liberalize their lending practices and even open branches in blighted and unprofitable areas outside their service area.

Signed sweeping regulations that give the state new authority to control the entire financial sector — from banks to hedge funds to insurance companies to even car dealers.

(The Dodd-Frank Act gives Obama unprecedented powers to monitor and redirect the capital flow of all financial firms, as well as adjust their capital requirements and even shut them down and restructure them.)

Renegotiated the terms of Detroit creditor contracts so autoworkers get preferential treatment at the expense of shareholders while preserving the high union cost structure that bankrupted GM and Chrysler.

(“I owe those unions,” Obama has said. “When their leaders call, I do my best to call them back right away. I got into politics to fight for these folks.”)

Centralized control of the health care industry through 2,730 pages of new mandates that bring insurance companies and drugmakers under the supervision of the state and force the wealthy to subsidize the uninsured at a starting cost of $1.6 trillion.

Transferred an additional $1 trillion in private taxpayer wealth to welfare programs and public works projects, which have increased dependency on the state to record levels.

All of these measures put more power in the hands of the state and, in the case of health care, exert more control over the individual lives of Americans. As such, few are popular.

So how did Obama do it? Or more to the point, how did he get away with doing it?

By making capitalists the enemy of the people. By using media propaganda to convince enough people who lost their jobs or homes in the financial crisis that they were victims of Wall Street “exploitation.”

And by fomenting class envy between “the 99%” of Americans he imagines as “struggling” and a nebulous 1% overclass of “millionaires and billionaires” and “fat cat bankers” he demonizes as “greedy.”

“We can either settle for a country where a few people are doing very well and everybody else is having to just struggle to get by, or we can build an economy where everybody gets a fair shot and everybody is doing their fair share,” Obama said Feb. 21 from the White House.

“That’s the economy that I want,” he added. “Those who don’t want it will be forced to pay their fair share.”

History provides a harsh reminder of how such class warfare ends if carried out to its extreme.

Less than a century ago, the Bolshevik revolution in Russia portrayed a life-or-death “class struggle” between capitalists and workers. The Bolsheviks were inspired by Karl Marx, another trained lawyer who never spent a day in the private sector. They followed his 1848 blueprint for worker revolution, “The Communist Manifesto.”

Marx argued that capitalism splits industrial society into two hostile camps: the “bourgeois” — whom he described as anyone employing a worker, owning a business or making money from investments — and the “proletariat” that he figured made up the other 90% of society. He claimed that the wealth controlled by the top 10% “exists solely due to its nonexistence in the hands of those (other) nine-tenths.”

In other words, profits produced by merchants, entrepreneurs and investors don’t really belong to them. Marx believed they were stolen from workers and that workers would one day rise up and, justifiably, “wrest, by degrees, all capital from the bourgeois.”

Turning the tables, the working class would then become the ruling class — though Marx believed this would happen in stages.(IBD)

So, Four More Years Anyone?

Political Cartoons by Robert Ariail

Gotcha!

President Barack Obama is expected to seek a new base tax rate for the wealthy to ensure that millionaires pay at least at the same percentage as middle income taxpayers. (The fact that they more taxes period doesn’t matter-class warfare does!)

A White House official said the proposal would be included in the president’s proposal for long term deficit reduction that he will announce Monday. The official spoke anonymously because the plan has not been officially announced.

Obama is going to call it the “Buffett Rule” for Warren Buffett, the billionaire investor who has complained that rich people like him pay a smaller share of their income in federal taxes than middle-class taxpayers.

Buffett wrote in a New York Times op-ed piece last month that he and his rich friends “have been coddled long enough by a billionaire-friendly Congress.”

Yeah, and who made them “friendly” by giving them lots of money for favors, Hmmm?

Something smells very fishy…

The measure would be in addition to $447 billion in new tax revenue that Obama is seeking to pay for his short-term spending and tax cutting plan to jump start the economy.

Long term spending cuts, anyone? Nope. Just enough to get him to 2013 he hopes. Then he can let loose the hounds…

So permanent Tax Increases and short term tax cuts! Gee, that’s sounds like the usual Tax and Spend Liberalism pig just dressed up with a new lipstick.

“We counted, in the Republican debate [hosted by MSNBC at the Reagan Library], we counted 26 ideological questions…. Out 26 questions, how many do you think came with a left-wing ideological bent?” NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell asked Fox News host Sean Hannity on his eponymous program last night.

“Twenty-five out of 26” Bozell informed a stumped Hannity, referring to a study released Tuesday by Media Research Center (MRC) deputy research director Geoff Dickens.

“Now, that’s perfectly fine if you’re going to play devil’s advocate… but that’s not what these questions are,” MRC founder Bozell added, noting that the media don’t hit Obama from the right on policy questions in interviews.

The Video:

Now will they be “fair” and ask these kinds of slanted “gotcha” questions of Barack Hussein Obama or the Democrats?
OF COURSE NOT!!! Don’t be silly. Why would they.

Ultimately, Obama’s American Jobs Act (AJA) will kill more jobs than it creates because it does not reduce uncertainty, fails to permanently reduce business operation costs and focuses on “one and done” jobs that result in employees being fired the moment the AJA has blown through its $450 billion in borrowed funds. Examples of AJA job-killing attributes are:

1. The AJA imposes eight different tax increases on the already high-taxed oil production industry, thereby costing jobs in the domestic oil industry and driving up costs for gasoline and heating oil (which makes American businesses less competitive and costs more jobs).

After all, the future is “green jobs” so might as well get rid of the evil jobs now. Pnly problem is, “green job” killers Like Solyndra keep popping up despite Millions of $$$ in stimulus money.

But if we keep banging our head against the wall, eventually we will break the wall (in 20 years or so…maybe). But we have to keep pounding!

2. Increasing America’s debt by another $450 billion, thereby promoting economic uncertainty resulting from increased risk of a federal government insolvency and bankruptcy.

Debt limit, anyone? Cutting Spending long Term, anyone?

3. Promoting costly, frivolous litigation by empowering disgruntled job applicants to sue job creators anytime an applicant believes (rightly or wrongly) an employer did not hire him because of his unemployed status.

See more below.

4. Hurting churches, synagogues and other charitable institutions by increasing taxes on tithes and charitable contributions (and cutting revenues that create jobs in America’s charity sector).

5. Creating at least two more federal government bureaucracies with over $10 billion to spend and the power to interfere with free markets as they wish.

Over the long haul, these AJA costs and burdens kill jobs by driving employers out of business or encouraging them to relocate to foreign countries. (DC)

Let’s look at #3 again:
WASHINGTON—President Barack Obama’s American Jobs Act, introduced this week, includes provisions that would prohibit discrimination against job applicants on the basis of their unemployment status and that would levy fines of up to $1,000 a day.
So you go to apply for a job. You don’t get it. You file a complaint that you didn’t get it because you were “unemployed” and that potential employer could get fined for not hiring you because you were unemployed.
Do you detect a problem here??
Why would an employer hire ANYBODY under such conditions?
They wouldn’t.
But Liberals can’t and won’t see that, you know. It’s not “fair”.

The unemployment discrimination proposal begins with Section 371 of the jobs act, which calls the proposal the Fair Employment Opportunity Act of 2011. It states, “Congress finds that denial of employment opportunities to individuals because of their status as unemployed is discriminatory and burdens commerce” by “reducing personal consumption and undermining economic stability,” among other impacts.

Gee, Nancy Pelosi said Unemployment was a stimulus to economic growth.

The proposal states the Act’s purpose includes prohibiting employers from disqualifying individuals because of their unemployed status.

And, of course, a Government bureaucracy was scanning the field to see if it could pounce on you. The EEOC hearing this month in which the commission explored whether employers are hiring only the employed, and if this has a disparate impact on protected groups. (BI)

Government is watching your every move.

Orwell, anyone? 🙂

President Obama promised to take his economic message “to every corner of this country.” He’s done this and America has said “no.” Wall Street heard Obama’s economic message and the Dow dropped 300 points the next day. Voters in Nevada and New York City heard his economic message and Republican congressional candidates scored stunning victories (including a 54%-46% win in a district with a 3-1 Democrat registration advantage that had not elected a Republican in more than eight decades).

America’s economy has serious structural issues that presidential band-aids and make-up don’t fix and can’t hide. President Obama’s jobs bill simply is not up to the challenge.

President Obama’s American “Jobless” Act should be defeated because it is poorly thought-out, bad economic policy, will cost Americans jobs and has been resoundingly rejected by the voting public. (DC)

But when it is, it will be the Republican’s Fault! Those dame obstructionists!
The fact that the Act is total crap on a stick doesn’t matter. The Liberals just want more “evidence” of “obstructionist” Republicans for their “Vote for me the Other Guy is an Asshole” re-election campaign of Fear and Loathing.
And, of course, it’s always going to be the ultimate fault of the most evil, conniving, malicious, throw-grandma-of-a-cliff, extremists, racists of all– The Tea Party. 🙂
But the Liberals, Democrats, and the Mainstream Media aren’t biased and self-serving,calculating, and manipulative, now are they… 🙂

The Fault Lines

But when he does it in less than 3 years it’s not only ok, it’s:

Political Cartoons by Gary Varvel

Now don’t you feel better! 🙂

But you know he was just saying all that to get elected. Whether he believed it or not, didn’t matter. He wanted you to believe it.

And now for 2012 he wants you to believe it again. Forget everything about the last 3 years, except who’s fault it is–anyone’s but his.

Obama is only three years into his term, and has already surpassed $4T in terms of increasing the debt.  Is it still “irresponsible” and “unpatriotic”, Mr. President, or only when a Republican does it?

Apparently Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL) didn’t go far enough when she blamed racism for the high unemployment rate among African-Americans. Today she made sure everyone got the real message: The Tea Party is the enemy.

They can go to Hell, according to Rep. Maxine Waters and While the media plays up the Los Angeles congresswoman’s “the Tea Party can go straight to hell’ comments from this weekend, they are ignoring what she said right after that. When the wild cheers of the audience calmed down, Rep. Waters then said: “And I intend to help them get there.”

But don’t worry, it’s the Tea Party/Republicans fault for not compromising and being “extreme”.

‘Intransigence’ and ‘Bigotry’ according to CNN’s Piers Morgan.

Some voters might be insulted by the suggestion that a little creative relabeling will fool them into embracing policies they would otherwise reject.

But that won’t stop the Orwellian Liberals. They don’t know any other way.

To disagree with them you must be absolutely stone cold STUPID. You have to be the biggest moron who ever walked the earth to believe they are wrong about anything.

So that’s when the hatred bubbles over and you get such wonderously non-judgemental, compassionate, and total willing to compromise for the greater good liberal comments as outlined. 🙂

Now that another massive new dose of deficit spending is no longer possible, the rigid Keynesian mind can only conceive of one alternative: a smaller dose of deficit spending. But to the Keynesian mind, a small dose of deficit spending will have a tiny impact compared to a massive dose of deficit spending. Obama can’t possibly have his heart in the “mini-stimulus” he’s likely to propose; he probably believes it’s doomed to failure because it’s too small. (DC)

And if you oppose it, you’re a “terrorist”, a “bigot”, “going to hell”, and “uncompromising”.

Now you can work with that can’t you? :0

The unemployment rate has been at or over 9 percent for 25 of the last 30 months. Why are we still waiting for Obama’s jobs plan?

It has been over 8% since February 2009.

But that’s not his fault. It’s not the Democrats fault.

It’s Bush…The Tea party…The Japan Tsunami…The Arabs…Iraq…Afghanistan…The ATM…automation…Corporations…The “rich”…The pizza delivery guy…. Anyone but them.

What difference does it make what stories the country’s attention was drawn to? How would that excuse Obama’s failure to even have a plan to address what he has repeatedly acknowledged to be America’s number one problem?

It doesn’t. But Liberals love distractions and diversions away from the truth that they have failed so miserably that it should be totally obvious to even a moron.
But it apparently isn’t, is it 🙂
But you can expect one thing for sure for The Democrats come September- more poll-tested euphemisms for raising tax rates so they can spend even more.
Why?
Because it’s all they know. Everything else is outside of their universe. It’s foreign. It’s evil. It’s bad. It’s “Extreme”.
And we can’t have extremism in the defense of liberty now can we. 🙂
Mainstream Liberal/Ministry of Truth Media Update
CBS’s Norah O’Donnell, filling in on Face the Nation, just couldn’t comprehend how a candidate espousing true conservative views could possibly capture the White House. Referring to Rick Perry, she demanded: “Can the Republican Party elect someone President who doesn’t believe in global warming?”
Well, that’s would be just Stupid now wouldn’t it! Of Course Global Warming is absolutely and unequivocally true. You’d have to be a moron not to think so.
On The Stimulus: “Well, many economists say had they not done the stimulus, it would have been much worse.”
Oh, really, are they all Keynesian Economists by any chance?
CNN’s Jack Cafferty slammed the “intellectual lightweights” leading the Republican presidential field on Wednesday, wondering why their supporters “seem to be allergic to brains.” (MRC)
But don’t worry, it’s you, not them, that are uncompromising, extreme, and just plain stupid… 🙂
A report from the Employment Policies Institute finds that only one in five members of Congress has an academic background in business or economics.
And 7 of the top 10 Richest millionaires in Congress are Democrats.
Feeling that “Hope and Change” yet?
