Remember when It said Libby, Libby, Libby on the Label, Label Label?

Do you remember Lewis “Scooter” Libby?

I do. I do. 🙂

In 2003, the Department of Justice appointed a special counsel to investigate allegations that Libby, Vice President Dick Cheney’s chief of staff, unlawfully disclosed the covert status of CIA operative Valerie Plame.

It was all BS, the Democrats were trying there damndest to get Bush but they couldn’t.

Yet Plame may not have been a covert undercover agent, based on the formal government definition of that role.

And the fact that you can’t be an international undercover operative while living comfortably all the time in Virginia!

And even if she were, it was widely known at the time that Secretary of State Colin Powell’s subordinate, Richard Armitage, had most likely disclosed her status earlier.

And in the end, after all the partisan “gotcha” BS had cleared it was announced to no fanfare at all that he had in fact done it, but since he was not on the hit list and meant nothing to the Democrats he was virtually ignored.

In other words, Libby was in an Orwellian position of being accused of a crime that may not have existed. But if it had, it was more likely committed by someone else.

But since it was partisan “gotcha” the Democrats didn’t care. They just wanted BLOOD in the water. They were the sharks hungry for a partisan meal if there was no meat they’d invent it — much like Vegan Chicken Legs!

Publicity-seeking special counsel Patrick Fitzgerald convinced a Washington, D.C., jury to find Libby guilty of obstruction of justice, perjury and making false statements to federal investigators — not the supposed crimes for which he was originally targeted by the media.

And a laughably silly “gotcha” especially compared to Hillary, Obama, Holder and Co.

But that’s the point, They are Democrats. They can do that.  You can’t. 🙂

Apparently, the very suspicion of improper behavior by high public servants once warranted vigorous legal inquiry — by supposedly independent and autonomous prosecutors.

Only if you were a Republican and the Democrat Hit Squad was out to get you (and they missed and got a minor functionary who then became the anti-christ because that’s what they were hungry for in the end run).

In the eight-plus since the Libby trial, the Obama administration has blown up the law as we have known it for centuries.

But since they are Democrats and so much smarter and so much more Holy than you grubby little shits they can do whatever they want in the name of  the “betterment” of all mankind. 🙂

Barack Obama once warned Latino activists that he had no legal authority to suspend enforcement of federal immigration law, stop deportations and offer de facto amnesties.

Until politics said he did and you’re a “racist” if you opposed him.

But that caution was only a campaigning talking point. After his re-election in 2012 and the midterm elections in 2014, Obama made a mockery of immigration law.

The Agenda is The Agenda!

Hundreds of liberal sanctuary cities have announced that federal immigration law does not apply to them. That scary, neo-Confederate idea of legal nullification was sanctioned by the Obama administration — in a way it never would have been if a city had suspended the Endangered Species Act, emissions standards or gun-control legislation.

As a result, once-detained and later-released immigrants with criminal records have murdered innocent American citizens.

And the perp (or his gun) was the victim or to blame, but not the illegal immigrant.

Consider the proposed nuclear deal with Iran. By past custom and practice, the nonproliferation agreement would be treated as what it is — a treaty.

But ratifying treaties constitutionally requires 67 yes votes from the Senate. Obama could never obtain that margin. So he managed to downgrade the treaty into a mere legal agreement. Then he claimed that the Senate required 67 no votes to override his veto.

And the Republicans went along with this gag.

Obama also was worried about the political impact of his new Obamacare legislation on the 2014 midterm elections. So he simply suspended by executive fiat the employer mandate of the Affordable Care Act. Had another president done that to the laws of Obamacare, the left would have demanded impeachment.

Nixon got impeached for a hell of a lot less!

In Ferguson, Missouri, law enforcement eased off and allowed a city to burn. But the cause of the rioting — the supposed improper police killing of criminal suspect Michael Brown — was based on the lie that Brown was shot in the back while fleeing. No matter. The ensuing public outrage seemingly exempted arsonists and looters from arrest.

The Ministry of Truth said he said, so he must have said it, right?

Just as scary is the application of the law on the basis of the perceived politics of a suspect.

IRS bureaucrat Lois Lerner was exposed as a rank partisan whose office gave particular scrutiny to would-be tax-exempt groups deemed opponents of Obama’s re-election efforts. She invoked the Fifth Amendment and refused to testify before a congressional committee about her actions at the IRS. Lerner has never been indicted.

Because the person who’d have to do it, The Attorney General, then Eric Holder, was and still is a partisan for the President and The Party, not the Law.

Almost everything former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has stated about her improper use of a private email account and server has been proven false. A State Department staffer who worked on Clinton’s private server plans to invoke the Fifth Amendment to avoid testifying before a congressional committee about his role in privatizing Clinton’s email.

But she said she was “sorry” so why are you so insensitive as to not accept it? 🙂

It’s not like she erased 18 minutes of White House tapes or anything!

But like Lerner, Clinton has escaped an indictment or jailing.

Because the Jailer is paid political partisan of the King.

Not so Kim Davis. She is a conservative Christian court clerk in Kentucky who apparently thought, given the lawless times, that she could ignore without consequence a Supreme Court decision making gay marriage legal.

Davis was jailed for not enforcing the law. That is a justifiable punishment — if it were applied equally to the progressive mayors of sanctuary cities and all officials who likewise ignore federal law.

But Progressive don’t believe in equality, of enforcement, after all. The laws are for thee, not for them.

In the same manner, rank amateur video maker Nakoula Basseley Nakoula was jailed for violating his probation. Why?

Nakoula made a video insensitive to Muslims and thus was falsely blamed for the riotous 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi. The most likely culprit of the preplanned Benghazi attack was not scapegoat Nakoula, but the inconvenient pre-election truth that al-Qaida was quite alive in Libya and U.S. security quite lax.

But that made the King and his minions look weak, so they had to lie their way out of that.

So it was perfectly logical that some Egyptians just happened to be strolling by with their Rocket Launchers, Snipers and Molotov Cocktail and they all had a delayed reaction, like not getting a joke right away, from seeing a You Tube video 4 months ago and went crazy with rage.

After all, “What Difference Does it  Make?” 🙂

America is becoming analogous to the mess in lawless contemporary Venezuela. When the law is suspended or unevenly applied for politically protected individuals and groups, then there is no law.

Welcome to Orwell Land.

So we are now seeing the logical descent into the abyss of chaos. (Victor Davis Hanson)

Yes, and to the Progressives it’s a glorious sight.

Sowell Responsibility

Among the many painful ironies in the current racial turmoil is that communities scattered across the country were disrupted by riots and looting because of the demonstrable lie that Michael Brown was shot in the back by a white policeman in Missouri — but there was not nearly as much turmoil created by the demonstrable fact that a fleeing black man was shot dead by a white policeman in South Carolina.

Totally ignored was the fact that a black policeman in Alabama fatally shot an unarmed white teenager, and was cleared of any charges, at about the same time that a white policeman was cleared of charges in the fatal shooting of Michael Brown.

In a world where the truth means so little, and headstrong preconceptions seem to be all that matter, what hope is there for rational words or rational behavior, much less mutual understanding across racial lines?

When the recorded fatal shooting of a fleeing man in South Carolina brought instant condemnation by whites and blacks alike, and by the most conservative as well as the most liberal commentators, that moment of mutual understanding was very fleeting, as if mutual understanding were something to be avoided, as a threat to a vision of “us against them” that was more popular.

That vision is nowhere more clearly expressed than in attempts to automatically depict whatever social problems exist in ghetto communities as being caused by the sins or negligence of whites, whether racism in general or a “legacy of slavery” in particular. Like most emotionally powerful visions, it is seldom, if ever, subjected to the test of evidence.

The “legacy of slavery” argument is not just an excuse for inexcusable behavior in the ghettos. In a larger sense, it is an evasion of responsibility for the disastrous consequences of the prevailing social vision of our times, and the political policies based on that vision, over the past half century.

Anyone who is serious about evidence need only compare black communities as they evolved in the first 100 years after slavery with black communities as they evolved in the first 50 years after the explosive growth of the welfare state, beginning in the 1960s.

You would be hard-pressed to find as many ghetto riots prior to the 1960s as we have seen just in the past year, much less in the 50 years since a wave of such riots swept across the country in 1965.

We are told that such riots are a result of black poverty and white racism. But in fact — for those who still have some respect for facts — black poverty was far worse, and white racism was far worse, prior to 1960. But violent crime within black ghettos was far less.

Murder rates among black males were going down — repeat, DOWN — during the much lamented 1950s, while it went up after the much celebrated 1960s, reaching levels more than double what they had been before. Most black children were raised in two-parent families prior to the 1960s. But today the great majority of black children are raised in one-parent families.

Such trends are not unique to blacks, nor even to the United States. The welfare state has led to remarkably similar trends among the white underclass in England over the same period. Just read “Life at the Bottom,” by Theodore Dalrymple, a British physician who worked in a hospital in a white slum neighborhood.

You cannot take any people, of any color, and exempt them from the requirements of civilization — including work, behavioral standards, personal responsibility and all the other basic things that the clever intelligentsia disdain — without ruinous consequences to them and to society at large.

Non-judgmental subsidies of counterproductive lifestyles are treating people as if they were livestock, to be fed and tended by others in a welfare state — and yet expecting them to develop as human beings have developed when facing the challenges of life themselves.

One key fact that keeps getting ignored is that the poverty rate among black married couples has been in single digits every year since 1994. Behavior matters and facts matter, more than the prevailing social visions or political empires built on those visions. (Thomas Sowell)

But remember, if you don’t agree with the Left, you’re heartless & racist , you hate women, children and poor people. 🙂

Reap What You Sow

Officers Rafael Ramos, 40, and Wenjian Liu, 32, were shot to death as they sat in their patrol car Saturday in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.

Identified gunman Ismaaiyl Brinsley, 28, then killed himself on a nearby subway platform.

He may have been influenced by a leftist gang that has ties to The Weather Underground. Where have I head that before, of right BILL AYERS. Who was friend of someone famous, Barack something… 🙂

Brinsley left a Facebook message stating, “I’m Putting Wings on Pigs Today… They Take 1 Of Ours, Let’s Take 2 of Theirs #ShootThePolice #RIPErivGardner [sic] #RIPMikeBrown This May Be My Final Post… I’m Putting Pigs In A Blanket.”

Or as Rev. Jeremiah Wright once said “America’s Chicken have come home to roost”.

The Leftist threw napalm on the race war they created, now innocent people are dying because of it.

Oh, right, they’re cops. They are evil. They kill black people for no reason. Hands up! Don’t Shoot! They deserve to die. That’s “justice”. 🙂

Whoops! The Left did it again. But don’t worry they will lie their way out responsibility for their actions. They always do.

WINDOWS UP! DON’T SHOOT!

They primed the pump. But when it explodes in a direction that does not further their political agenda, it’s not their fault and they “regret” any “violence” caused by their pursuit of “justice”. Blah, Blah, Blah….

“No Justice, No Peace”

In an op-ed published on December 8, Sharpton noted that the “march against police violence” was needed to force Congress to “immediately start hearings to deal with laws that will change the jurisdiction threshold for federal cases and policing.”

Once the thousands of marchers reached the grounds outside the Capitol, Sharpton warned Congress that he and his supporters would not be ignored.

“You thought you’d sweep it under the rug. You thought there’d be no limelight,” Sharpton said. “We are going to keep the light on Michael Brown, on Eric Garner, on Tamir Rice, on all of these victims because the only way — I’m sorry, I come out of the ‘hood — the only way you make roaches run, you got to cut the light on.”

The light of 2 cops ambushed execution style because of his words.

But fear not they are too arrogant to see they are the cause. The cause is still evil white people who oppress their “brothers”.

Racial Division is their life’s work, their passion, their only means of financial support. So gotta keep the fires burning and if occasionally goes off message, oh well, it happens. Not our fault. We gave them the dynamite, but we never expected them to use it that way.

Protesters chanted violent slogans: “What do we want? Dead cops!”

And I’m sure the officers’ families understand the “tragic mistake” that the gunman had about the messaging coming out of the mouth of “black leaders” about how  cops (in particular) are “oppressing” and it’s “unfair” and “unjust”.

Liu, 32, a newlywed of only two months, had seven years on the force; Ramos, 40, dad to two sons, had two years on the job.

The Left will ring it’s hands and give lame excuses and even lamer apologies for their ramping up of racial tensions for political and ideological reasons.

They are the sanctimonious, the righteous, they can’t be blamed for anything.

“It’s unfortunate that in a time of great tragedy, some would resort to irresponsible, overheated rhetoric that angers and divides people. Mayor de Blasio understands this is the time when we must come together to support the families and friends of those brave officers New York City lost tonight – and the entire NYPD community.”

The one thing they won’t do, is take responsibility for their  own irresponsible, divisive, and overheated hateful rhetoric.

Merry Christmas, from The Left. 🙂

And end racial quotas by demanding them. 🙂

After all, if blacks are “underrepresented” in the Ferguson Police force then the obvious Liberal Progressive answer is quotas.

So you might see in The Sty. Louis Papers: (for the humorless the following is called satire, look it up).

Wanted: Police Officers, Ferguson Police Department.

MUST BE BLACK, Latino acceptable but not preferred.

If you’re White, you’re a racist so you do not need to apply, and why would you anyways your life will be  hell anyways because if you even look at a Black person the wrong way the Vice President-in-effect Al Sharpton and Attorney General Eric Holder will be crawling up your ass and you’ll be working at a Dairy Queen in Butte, Montana within weeks just like Darren Wilson probably will so don’t bother.

Oh, and I’m sure we’ll have to get rid of a bunch of white racist cops to make room for you in the budget. Who cares about their records or years of service. Who cares about their racist families. They deserve to be let go, those damn racists!

Oh, and you must be an emotionally brainwashed Liberal. We don’t want any of those Uncle Tom Conservatives sneaking in on us.

Contact: The Reverend Al Sharpton for a screening interview.

Hands Up! Don’t Shoot! That’s our Motto!

(even if Michael NEVER did this it fits the narrative and the agenda to say he did and look we got the St Louis Rams on board with us too!)

When it comes to the challenges of urban crime, law enforcement, racial friction and seemingly intractable poverty, one objective should top the list for our elected leaders: Keep innocents who live and work in places like Ferguson, most of whom are black, safe from criminals, most of whom are black.

To that way of thinking, a youth who steals cigarillos from a convenience store, then roughs up the clerk, is the enemy of the community — not the police officer who, sadly, ends up shooting him.

But that’s not the mindset of this president. To him, the killing of Michael Brown “laid bare” an age-old national problem: “a simmering distrust that exists between too many police departments and too many communities of color.”

And boy do we want to exploit that!!

We created their bed, now we want them to pee in it and blame whitey! Oh happy days!

We don’t want to “fix” the problem, we want to use it to our advantage.

And the Truth, man, that is magnificently irrelevant. Emotional exploitation is so much better for The Agenda.

If you listen to the president’s latest long-winded speech — Monday’s was 1,450 words — this great national problem exposed by Ferguson is all about “people feeling marginalized and distrustful.” Feelings?

The president even concedes that “there have been commissions before, there have been task forces, there have been conversations, and nothing happens.”

That about says it all. (IBD)

But they “feel” your pain. Vote for them. Unlike Republicans and White People who just can’t understand because they are actually interested in The Truth, the silly buggers!

I get warm and fuzzy “post racial” feel don’t you?

Election Time’s a Comin’

“There’s a certain level of vehemence, it seems to me, that’s directed at me [and] directed at the president,” Holder told ABC last month, per the Hill. “You know, people talking about taking their country back. . . . There’s a certain racial component to this for some people. I don’t think this is the thing that is a main driver, but for some there’s a racial animus.”

And Obama agrees, or seemed to think so in 2011, according to U.S. News and World Report’s Ken Walsh.

“A guest suggested that when Tea Party activists said they wanted to ‘take back’ their country, their real motivation was to stir up anger and anxiety at having a black president, and Obama didn’t dispute the idea,” Walsh wrote. “He agreed that there was a ‘subterranean agenda’ in the anti-Obama movement — a racially biased one — that was unfortunate. But he sadly conceded that there was little he could do about it.”

Good thing Crazy Uncle Joe (The VP) is not on board 🙂

Vice President Joe Biden staked his claim to the labor vote by declaring that “it’s time to take back America” in order to ensure that the middle class gets an “equal share” of prosperity in the country.

“If we don’t, America’s in trouble,” Biden said in Detroit Monday. (NRO)

Or maybe, being a white guy he’s just a crazy old racist! 🙂 Isn’t every white person these days?

I mean the election is 2 months away, so time to ratchet up the fear, and the hatred, and Divide & Conquer to hopeful victory!

Hope & Change is back! 🙂

Fear is Hope!

And Control is Change.

Rejoice!
Or what could be the Democrat mantra: Racism for thee but not for me.

Democrats are using the tragic shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri earlier this month to mobilize black voters ahead of the midterm elections. It could impact the races in Georgia, North Carolina, Louisiana, and Arkansas, where black voters represent a significant part of the electorate. African-Americans represent thirty percent of eligible voters in Louisiana and Georgia alone. The New York Times’ Jonathan Martin indicated that African-Americans “played a pivotal role” in 1998 elections. Yet, trying to drive up voter turnout will be tricky since the states that will determine if Democrats keep the Senate are in the south, where Obama is deeply unpopular (NYT)

But we are dealing with the morally and ethically win-at-any-cost end justifies the means Liberals. So why not use a dead man and racism as a  campaign tactic. As long as it works, Liberals don’t care.

Which is why they are Sanctimoniously superior to you mere mortal and should rule everyone and everything with absolute power!. 🙂

They have no shame. Why should they? They are Homo Superior Liberalis, a superior form of life, you’re just too stupid to recognize it, so they have to force you any way they can to accept their superiority.

Now, that’s America, for you. 🙂

The Sowell of Ferguson

Those of us who admit we were not there, and do not know what happened when Michael Brown was shot by a policeman in Ferguson, Mo., seem to be in the minority.

Political Cartoons by Steve Breen

We all know what has happened since then — and it has been a complete disgrace by politicians, the media and mobs of rioters and looters.

Despite all the people who act as if they know exactly what happened, nevertheless when the full facts come out, that can change everything.

I would argue that the Facts are totally irrelevant at this point and that the Left is going to exploit this for whatever they can REGARDLESS of the facts.

White People are evil. They oppress minorities. Vote Democrat.

White people want minorities to be poor. Vote Democrat.

Corporations are run by evil white people. Vote Democrat.

The reason you can “succeed” in life is due to white people.

White People are Republicans. Vote Democrat.

Vote for Me, The Democrat, I’m not a Raci$t!

Simple as that. THE AGENDA IS THE AGENDA. Power is Power. The End.

“I am the Attorney General of the United States, but I am also a black man,” Holder told Ferguson residents at a community meeting. “I can remember being stopped on the New Jersey turnpike on two occasions and accused of speeding. Pulled over. … ‘Let me search your car’ … Go through the trunk of my car, look under the seats and all this kind of stuff. I remember how humiliating that was and how angry I was and the impact it had on me.” (USA TODAY)

And it shall be so forever, because it serves their purpose.

The Truth is magnificently irrelevant.

This is why we have courts of law, instead of relying on the media or mobs. But politics is undermining law.

On the eve of a grand jury being convened to go through the facts and decide whether there should be a prosecution of the policeman in this case, Gov. Jay Nixon of Missouri has gone on television to say that there should be a “vigorous prosecution.”

There was a time when elected officials avoided commenting on pending legal processes, so as not to bias those processes. But Gov. Nixon apparently has no fear of poisoning the jury pool. The only alternative explanation is that this is exactly what he intends to do. It is a disgrace either way.

Race is the wild card in all this. The idea that you can tell who is innocent and who is guilty by the color of their skin is a notion that was tried out for generations, back in the days of the Jim Crow South.

I thought we had finally rejected that kind of legalized lynch law. But apparently it has only been put under new management.

Television people who show the home of the policeman involved, and give his name and address — knowing that he has already received death threats — are truly setting a new low. They seem to be trying to make themselves judge, jury and executioner.

Then there are the inevitable bullet counters asking, “Why did he shoot him six times?” This is the kind of thing people say when they are satisfied with talking points, and see no need to stop and think seriously about a life-and-death question. If you are not going to be serious about life and death, when will you be serious?

By what principle should someone decide how many shots should be fired? The bullet counters seldom, if ever, ask that question, much less try to answer it.

Since the only justifiable reason for shooting in the first place is self-protection, when should you stop shooting? Obviously when there is no more danger.

But there is no magic number of shots that will tell you when you are out of danger. Even if all your shots hit, that doesn’t mean anything if the other guy keeps coming and is still a danger. You can be killed by a wounded man.

Different witnesses give conflicting accounts of exactly what happened in the shooting of Michael Brown. That is one of the reasons why grand juries collect facts.

But, if Michael Brown — a 6 foot 4 inch, 300 pound man — was still charging at the policeman, as some allege, there is no mystery why the cop kept shooting.

But, if Michael Brown was surrendering, as others allege, then there was no reason to fire even one shot. But the number of shots tells us nothing.

None of this is rocket science. Why bullet counters cannot be bothered to stop and think is a continuing mystery.

Among the other unthinking phrases repeated endlessly is “he shot an unarmed man.” When does anyone know that someone is unarmed? Unless you frisk him, you don’t know — until, of course, after you have shot him.

The only time I ever pointed a firearm at a human being, I had no idea whether he was armed or unarmed. To this day I don’t know whether he was armed or unarmed. Fortunately for both of us, he froze in his tracks.

Was I supposed to wait until I made sure he had a gun before I used a gun? Is this some kind of sporting contest?

Some critics object when someone with a gun shoots someone who only has a knife. Do those critics know that you are just as dead when you are killed with a knife as you are when you are killed by a gun?

If we can’t be bothered to stop and think, instead of repeating pat phrases, don’t expect to live under the rule of law. Do you prefer the rule of the media and/or the mob? (Thomas Sowell)

The Ministry of Truth sure does. But then again, they have a vested interest…. 🙂
