We’ll always have Paris

Stephanopoulos asked Obama if ISIS was gaining in strength, to which Obama denied they were.

“I don’t think they’re gaining strength,” Obama responded. “What is true is that from the start, our goal has been first to contain and we have contained them. They have not gained ground in Iraq, and in Syria they’ll come in, they’ll leave, but you don’t see this systemic march by ISIL across the terrain.”

“What we have not yet been able to do is to completely decapitate their command and control structures,” he admitted. “We’ve made some progress in trying to reduce the flow of foreign fighters and part our goal has to be to recruit more effective Sunni partners in Iraq to really go on offense rather than simply engage in defense.”

climate

This is the shocking moment terrified concert-goers dragged their dying friends along a street and desperately clung to window ledges while fleeing the Paris massacre which has left at least 127 people dead and France in a nationwide state of emergency.

They were among dozens fleeing through a back exit of the Bataclan theatre where Islamic State gunmen mercilessly slaughtered up to 100 fans before blowing themselves up in a series of co-ordinated attacks across the French capital.

France was placed in lockdown after at least eight militants, all wearing suicide vests, brought unprecedented violence to the streets of the French capital in the bloodiest attack in Europe since the Madrid train bombings in 2004.

It’s also being reported that the gunmen were shouting ‘Allah Akbar,’ with one man reportedly having been “beheaded” inside the concert hall where hostages were being held before they were slaughtered “one by one”.

And if that wasn’t enough to identify the culprits, two suicide bombers were involved.

Sounds like radical Islamic terrorism to me.

Obama: “I don’t want to speculate.”

Need anymore proof of clinical Orwellian Thought Control?

If it’s not on The Agenda, it doesn’t exist.

Obama made clear his reasons for his more careful word choices at the White House Summit on Countering Violent Extremism in February.

“All of us have a responsibility to refute the notion that groups like [ISIS] somehow represent Islam, because that is a falsehood that embraces the terrorist narrative,” he said.

“We are not at war with Islam,” Obama added. “We are at war with people who have perverted Islam.”

It Islam but it’s not Islam, Doublethink at it’s finest. They are Terrorists who are Muslims but they aren’t Muslim Terrorists… 🙂

The left’s defense (hilariously from ThinkProgress): George W. Bush, The Great Satan and Destroyer of the World (to them) didn’t say it, so Obama doesn’t have to either. So there!

Wow. The depths of the pathology of Leftists is mind-numbing. Literally.

158 people are dead from a terrorist attack by Muslims, but yet it’s not Islamic Terrorism!!

We don’t want to be ISLAMOPHOBIC, now do we… Allah Ackbar! BOOM! 🙂

Hey, lets give terrorists 150 Billion Dollars and a the capacity to make Nuclear Weapons!!!

nuclear_blast

But at least we’re not Islamophobic! 🙂

This month’s suicide bombings in Beirut and the bombing of a Russian commercial jetliner by the Islamic State, which killed 40 and 244, respectively.

Now 158 (and maybe more) in Paris.

In fact, it is now an existential threat to the American homeland. Within days of the IS-inspired stabbing of four on a California college campus, the FBI Thursday arrested an IS agent in Akron, Ohio, who solicited the murder of more than 100 U.S. service members.

Black Muslim convert Terrence J. McNeil, 25, allegedly distributed their names and addresses to IS websites along with the IS command: “Kill them in their own lands, behead them in their own homes, stab them to death as they walk their streets thinking that they are safe.”

The federal complaint says that McNeil, who pressured the hospital he worked for to let him wear his beard out of respect for his religion, last year posted an Internet message: “I can’t wait for another 9/11, Boston bombing or Sandy Hook.”

In another, he said, “I’m an African-American and native American so this country has made my people suffer (for) years . … I would gladly take part in an attack on this murderous regime and the people.”

Added McNeil: “I’ll be proud when I sled(sic) American blood,” later suggesting the bombing of “a church, school or mall.”

The case is just one of 900 active investigations of IS operatives inside the U.S., as FBI Director James Comey revealed earlier this month.

But at least they are “contained”. After all, Obama is always right.

Nothing to worry about!

King Obama has everything under control…. 🙂

The Real Enemy

As Obama get’s his Agenda Scout Merit Badge for caving in to the communists in Cuba, the “JV team” ISIS continue to rape, pillage, and creatively kill anyone who isn’t them.

Good thing Global Warming is a bigger threat, don’t you know.

So the following is politically incorrect.

Thursday, The New York Times published a disturbing piece about the Islamic State having enshrined “a theology of rape,” specifically against women and girls who aren’t Muslim. In other words, if the female isn’t Muslim, it’s totally fine to assault her, sell her, and keep as property.

It’s amazing they would publish the piece in the first place. This is Al-Jazeera America, before the channel actually existed.

The opening paragraphs are harrowing, describing the rape of a 12-year-old girl:

In the moments before he raped the 12-year-old girl, the Islamic State fighter took the time to explain that what he was about to do was not a sin. Because the preteen girl practiced a religion other than Islam, the Quran not only gave him the right to rape her — it condoned and encouraged it, he insisted. He bound her hands and gagged her. Then he knelt beside the bed and prostrated himself in prayer before getting on top of her.

When it was over, he knelt to pray again, bookending the rape with acts of religious devotion.

Good thing he didn’t order a Pizza, then the Left might get their panties in a wad.

“I kept telling him it hurts — please stop,” said the girl, whose body is so small an adult could circle her waist with two hands. “He told me that according to Islam he is allowed to rape an unbeliever. He said that by raping me, he is drawing closer to God,” she said in an interview alongside her family in a refugee camp here, to which she escaped after 11 months of captivity.

The systematic rape of women and girls from the Yazidi religious minority has become deeply enmeshed in the organization and the radical theology of the Islamic State in the year since the group announced it was reviving slavery as an institution.

And here I thought the only slavery left was “white privilege”. 🙂

Interviews with 21 women and girls who recently escaped the Islamic State, as well as an examination of the group’s official communications, illuminate how the practice has been enshrined in the group’s core tenets.

The trade in Yazidi women and girls has created a persistent infrastructure, with a network of warehouses where the victims are held, viewing rooms where they are inspected and marketed, and a dedicated fleet of buses used to transport them.

A total of 5,270 Yazidis were abducted last year, and at least 3,144 are still being held, according to community leaders. To handle them, the Islamic State has developed a detailed bureaucracy of sex slavery, including sales contracts notarized by the ISIS-run Islamic courts. And the practice has become an established recruiting tool to lure men from deeply conservative Muslim societies, where casual sex is taboo and dating is forbidden.

Good thing Obama care about “human rights” like Gay Marriage and Abortion, he has his priorities straight. 🙂

The rest of the long form piece is riddled with equally barbaric and appalling details that revolve around the topic of sex slavery.

And you though just being against Planned Parenthood’s harvesting and selling of fetal baby parts was “a war on women”.

In August of 2014, thousands of Yazidis fled the forces of the Islamic State by heading to the Sinjar Mountains. The conditions were abysmal, with little shade, food, water, and other essential supplies. In all, 20-30,000 Yazidis remained trapped on top of the mountain. U.S., British and Iraqi aircraft had been dropping supplies at the time to aid the beleaguered group. The U.S. was considering air evacuations for the refugees. By December of 2014, the Kurds relieved the siege on Sinjar.

Yet, for CNN’s Chris Cuomo, the New York Times piece might promote stereotypes.

“Let’s finish this part of the discussion on a point that you feel often needs to be made,” Cuomo said to Muslim woman’s rights activist Qanta Ahmed. “This feeds the impression that these Muslims are animals, savages and their faith makes them that way.”

“And it feeds an impression of what Islam is,” he continued. “What is your response to that?”

Ahmed didn’t seem overly concerned about the point Cuomo raised, and instead strongly critiqued radical Islam. “This is Islamism at work,” she said. “We’ve talked a lot about this on this show. Islamism is totalitarianism… totalitarianism, that means absolute domination of the self.”

Oh, Obama and The Democrats, just without the violence, rape and murder.  No wonder the Leftist can’t comprehend it, so let’s replay that…

“This feeds the impression that these Muslims are animals, savages and their faith makes them that way,” he said.

Muslim women’s rights activist Qanta Ahmed aptly noted that the end goal for these Islamists is one thing: totalitarianism.

The same as the Democrat Party. How fascinating is that. Maybe that’s why they are for “human rights” only when it suits their agenda but are utterly incapable of getting the littlest bit annoyed about beheadings and rape. Not to mention what Arabs and Persians due to gays and don’t go there about Gay Marriage…

“This is Islamism at work …there Islamists are dominating to extinction girls and women; it’s very calculated,” she said.

So is Obama. He just doesn’t do it with overt violence. 🙂

At the same time, ISIS is raping 12-year-olds and justifying it through religious means. They’re engaging in sex slavery. These aren’t stereotypes or brash over-generalizations; they’re actually happening. Saying that the members of the Islamic State are animals and savages not only fits the bill, one could argue that it’s overly generous given the utter evil they’re partaking in on a daily basis. I mean, is this even up for discussion?

But Obama and Co. can’t even conceptualize the idea of “radical Islam” because of their Thought Police filters that prevents such a thoughtcrime from passing their lips.

You would think that one would come to that conclusion after the various execution videos they’ve released; the beheadings of Americans James Foley and Steve Sotloff; or when they blew up a baby. (Townhall)

But not Obama and The Democrats. Nope. That Thoughtcrime has not been breached yet. They continue to stay strong in the face such pressure.

You can’t paint a religion as “radical” based on just a few nutters, not unless their Christians that is, then it’s not only acceptable, it’s the truth. 🙂

Good thing they didn’t blow up an Abortion Clinic then they’d be “right wing” religious extremists and then you might annoy them!

The Left is blinded by their ideology and will fight to every last drop of your blood to prove just how superior their vision is.

The JV Team

Obama, “The analogy we use around here sometimes, and I think is accurate, is if a jayvee team puts on Lakers uniforms that doesn’t make them Kobe Bryant,” Obama told Remnick. “I think there is a distinction between the capacity and reach of a bin Laden and a network that is actively planning major terrorist plots against the homeland versus jihadists who are engaged in various local power struggles and disputes, often sectarian.”

The Islamic State has once again displayed the depths of its brutality by releasing a video showing the executions of prisoners by drowning in a cage, wearing exploding necklaces and being locked in a car and shot with a rocket.

They just blew up an Iraw food market killing 62 people.

“Just like they spy on muslims, we are spying on them, watching their employees, watching their soldiers, recording their movements and taking their location information and passing it on to the soldiers of the islamic state,” the anonymous male member told TheBlaze.

“they have no security just like their employees and military personnel have no OpSec,” he continued, “they are people who like to brag and boast and this is to our advantage.”

“the brothers don’t need to attack them in military bases or secured buildings,” the hacking group member added. “they can now turn up in their houses. in their homes. this is war, what did you expect? u think u can bomb the islamic state and we don’t do nothing back? soon, very soon you will see.”

When asked exactly what could be expected to be seen “soon,” the member replied, “you will see when US military and government personnel start getting beheaded in their homes.”— ISIS Cyber hackers.

Homeland Insecurity: The FBI’s arrest of a group of New Jersey and New York Muslims trying to organize a “small army” for the Islamic State leaves little doubt we are facing a full-blown Islamic insurgency inside our borders.

According to a just-released federal criminal complaint, five young Muslim men tied to IS were busted conspiring to recruit a small army for the terror group in New Jersey and New York.

The busts bring to 70 the number of IS-inspired terrorists arrested in this country in homeland plots.

Meantime, the FBI reports that all 56 of its field offices have active investigations against other IS suspects.

It’s now clear we’re besieged by a Fifth Column. Yet the White House fatuously insists these are unrelated, unconnected, isolated, one-off “lone wolf” incidents.

Federal agents don’t see it that way. They see all these “lone wolves” running in the same religious pack.

On Monday, agents charged Nader Saadeh, a 20-year-old Jordanian immigrant from Rutherford, N.J., with providing material support to IS. Saadeh’s 23-year-old brother, Alaa, along with at least three other Muslims were also arrested in connection with the IS cell.

The complaint says the devout Muslims “discussed building a small army” to attack non-Muslims. In a recorded conversation, one suspect fretted about NSA surveillance and suggested they leave America, to which another suspect stated: “Why? We already infiltrated.”

“Saadeh sent electronic messages expressing his hatred for the United States and desire to form a small army that would include their friends,” the Justice Department said in a statement. “Saadeh posted on his Facebook page images of ISIL’s flag and the flag of the Islamic caliphate.”

The FBI added Saadeh posted anti-American messages online and repeatedly downloaded IS videos and praised the terror group’s atrocities, including beheadings, burnings and the murder of French cartoonists.

He agreed offending the Muslim prophet Muhammad is “reason to encourage Muslims to kill whoever does that.” Some of the IS suspects arrested earlier allegedly were scouting New York landmarks as possible terror targets, including the George Washington Bridge.

Perhaps most chilling, the radicalization of the Saadeh boys appears to have had the blessing of their Jordanian father, who had been deported from the U.S. along with Saadeh’s mother after “sustaining criminal convictions.” The FBI says the father advised one of his sons to “delete everything off his phone” to avoid federal authorities detecting their plans.

The 16-page complaint notes that agents and informants observed “changes in Saadeh’s appearance and behavior” that coincided with his pledging allegiance to the Islamic State. From late 2014 through April of this year, it says he:

“Frequently researched Islamic writings and often studied the Quran.”

• “Grew out his beard and dyed it red,” mimicking Muhammad.

• “Began to fast, and stopped drinking, smoking and eating foods that were not permissible under Islamic law.”

• “Began praying five times a day.”

• “Wore traditional Muslim attire in place of the Western clothing he had previously worn.”

• Became “offended and agitated by any conversation or mention of any religion other than Islam.”

• “Converted (others) to Islam.”

These details provide valuable investigative clues for local authorities trying to ferret out other radicalized jihadists in the Muslim community.

Saadeh’s increased piety fits a pattern among IS and other terrorist recruits. The Boston marathon bombers and the Chattanooga shooter underwent the same transformation. The more religious indoctrination they absorbed, the more radical they became.

The FBI complaint contradicts White House claims the terrorists aren’t motivated by religion.

It also suggests that rooting out this problem will require putting more mosques under surveillance.

But That’s Racist! 🙂

Gee, aren’t you glad your President think the Global Warming Hoax is more a threat than these guys (which he has step up bombing attacks on from Turkey by the way).

Makes me feel safe. 🙂

Homeland Insecurity

WASHINGTON — For the second consecutive day, Senate Democrats blocked their Republican colleagues from bringing a bill to the floor to fund the Department of Homeland Security, which has become a proxy for a broader policy disagreement over President Obama’s executive actions on immigration.

The department is set to run out of money on Feb. 27, but Democrats object to amendments in the funding bill, sent from the House, that would undo the president’s actions that provide legal protections to as many as five million immigrants, including children, who are in the country illegally.

Despite a ticking clock that could lead to a shutdown of the agency, the cycle of futile votes is unlikely to end anytime soon.

The President’s unconstitutional “Me, Myself, and I” Three Branches of Government Executive Amnesty is important to the Democrat Agenda so the bullies of the Left will hold you hostage with a gun to your held and blame the Republicans for it! 🙂

“It would be irresponsible for the Democrats to block funding for the Department of Homeland Security,” said Senator Ted Cruz, Republican of Texas. “They are attempting to hold our national security hostage in order to protect the president’s illegal and unconstitutional executive amnesty.”

Senator Claire McCaskill, Democrat of Missouri, using the example of the Islamic State militant group, had an equally harsh and decidedly opposite analysis.

(you mean she can utter Islamic and militant in the same sentence without her brain frying from a thoughtcrime?)

“In a time when the world is united in trying to send a strong signal about confronting ISIS and defeating ISIS, I think putting veto bait in the funding for homeland security is a very bad idea,” she said. “It is an awkward time for them to try to mire this down in presidential immigration politics.”

I guess not. 🙂

The irony in politics is delicious.

At the White House on Wednesday, the president hosted a half-dozen young immigrants who were brought to the country illegally and benefited from his 2012 executive order. In a statement afterward, Mr. Obama warned Republicans in Congress not to pass legislation that would reverse the steps he has taken to help protect immigrants from deportation. (NYT)

My Agenda is My Agenda, I am King, am I not! I must protect my new Welfare Democrats from those evil, vile, racist Republicans, after all! 🙂

Dispassionate Outrage

The president is upset. Very upset. Frustrated and angry. Seething about the government’s handling of Ebola, said the front-page headline in the New York Times last Saturday.

And Now that it show’s up in New York, after all his protestations that he’s got it under control, he even has his Political Thought Police Arm ready to go, his Ebola Czar to cover for him and it still happened. How rude!! Don’t they know he’s The Most Arrogant Man in the World. He’s too important to the World to keep having these things inconveniently happening.

There’s only one problem with this pose, so obligingly transcribed for him by the Times. It’s his government. He’s president. Has been for six years. Yet Barack Obama reflexively insists on playing the shocked outsider when something goes wrong within his own administration.

It’s always someone elses fault, after all. He’s perfect, he just wished everyone and everything would abide by that edict.

IRS? “It’s inexcusable, and Americans are right to be angry about it, and I am angry about it,” he thundered in May 2013 when the story broke of the agency targeting conservative groups. “I will not tolerate this kind of behavior in any agency, but especially in the IRS.” Except that within nine months, Obama had grown far more tolerant, retroactively declaring this to be a phony scandal without “a smidgen of corruption.”

ObamaCare rollout? “Nobody is more frustrated by that than I am,” said an aggrieved Obama about the botching of the central element of his signature legislative achievement. “Nobody is madder than me.”

Veterans Affairs scandal? Presidential Chief of Staff Denis McDonough explained: “Secretary (Eric) Shinseki said yesterday … that he’s mad as hell and the president is madder than hell.” A nice touch — taking anger to the next level.

The president himself declared: “I will not stand for it.” But since the administration itself said the problem was long-standing, indeed predating Obama, this means he had stood for it for 5-1/2 years.

The one scandal where you could credit the president with genuine anger and obliviousness involves the recent breaches of White House Secret Service protection. The Washington Post described the first lady and president as “angry and upset,” and no doubt they were.

But the first Secret Service scandal — the hookers of Cartagena — evinced this from the president: “If it turns out that some of the allegations that have been made in the press are confirmed, then of course I’ll be angry.”

An innovation in ostentatious distancing: future conditional indignation.

Orwell would be proud.

These shows of calculated outrage — and thus distance — are becoming not just unconvincing, but unamusing. In our system, the president is both head of state and head of government. Obama seems to enjoy the monarchial parts, but when it comes to the actual business of running government, he shows little interest and even less aptitude.

His principal job, after all, is to administer the government and to get the right people to do it. (That’s why we typically send governors rather than senators to the White House.) That’s called management. Obama had never managed anything before running for the biggest management job on earth. It shows.

What makes the problem even more acute is that Obama represents not just the party of government, but a grandiose conception of government as the prime mover of social and economic life.

The very theme of his presidency is that government can and should be trusted to do great things. And therefore society should be prepared to hand over large chunks of its operations — from health care (one-sixth of the economy) to carbon regulation down to free contraception — to the central administrative state.

Government is God. Government is Good. Government is everywhere and everything.

But this presupposes a Leviathan not just benign, but competent. When it then turns out that vast, faceless bureaucracies tend to be incapable, inadequate, hopelessly inefficient and often corrupt, Obama resorts to expressions of angry surprise.

He must. He’s not simply protecting his own political fortunes. He’s trying to protect faith in the entitlement state by portraying its repeated failures as shocking anomalies.

Unfortunately, the pretense has the opposite effect. It produces not reassurance, but anxiety. Obama’s determined detachment conveys the feeling that nobody’s home. No one leading. Not even from behind.

The National Science Foundation has awarded $300,000 to the State University of New York at Buffalo to develop “underwater internet” or “real-time video streaming in the Internet of underwater things.”

The four-year project is not about “trying to stream Netflix to scuba divers,” according to the principal investigator for the project, Tommaso Melodia.

Well, at least they aren’t wasting any money…

A poll conducted two weeks ago showed that 64% of likely voters (in competitive races) think that “things in the U.S. feel like they are out of control.” This is one degree of anxiety beyond thinking the country is on the wrong track. That’s been negative for years, and it’s a reflection of failed policies that in principle can be changed. Regaining control, on the other hand, is a far dicier proposition.

With events in the saddle and a sense of disorder growing — the summer border crisis, Ferguson, the rise of the Islamic State, Ebola — the nation expects from the White House not miracles, but competence. At a minimum, mere presence. An observer presidency with its bewildered-bystander pose only adds to the unease. (Charles Krauthammer)

But it’s all he knows and if we know one thing about this President and that is he NEVER steps outside of what he knows. He’s a rigid ideologue.

Now his rigidity is paralysis.

But at least he has an Ebola Czar to take the heat for him! 🙂
