Happy Anniversary, Al

Chicken Little was wrong again. Darn it… 🙂
Actor and activist Larry David was quoted as saying, “You know, Al is a funny guy, but he’s also a very serious guy who believes humans may have only 10 years left to save the planet from turning into a total frying pan.”

Watch out world, and we are sorry if you had not realised before reading this, the world is ending today. That’s because today is the day that climate change entrepreneur, and former US Vice President, Al Gore warned us would be the beginning of a global emergency.

And it looks like civilization still is here. A lot worse for wear because of Liberals, but it’s still here. But Iran has nuked us all out of existence or Hillary hasn’t been Coronated yet so Stay Tuned…

Mr Gore told his supporters a decade ago that the world had until 27th January 2016 to end its addiction to fossil fuels or the it would come to an end. Gore did not specify what householders might expect to happen today, but he was clear that this would be the end.

The claim was part of the marketing campaign for his hit documentary “An Inconvenient Truth”, which he maintains was not a cheap attempt to make money off the green frenzy. Although, by sheer coincidence, it did make him a pile of cash.

Shortly before the film’s release Gore warned today would see “a true planetary emergency.” Once again, he offered few details of the problems you might face on your weekly visit to Walmart.

He went on to tell the press: “If you accept the truth of that, then nothing else really matters that much… We have to organize quickly to come up with a coherent and really strong response, and that’s what I’m devoting myself to.”

Townhall would always warn readers in advance of any impending emergency but on this occasion we feel confident you need not stock up on canned beans. Gore has been making the same claim every week for the past ten years… Which has led us to believe his grim predictions might well be unfounded.

We think you should have a drive in your SUV today to celebrate how great life in America really is. Then crack open a cold beer to offend the health lobby too!

Oh, break out the Incandescent Light bulbs, your gun and that tub of Lard you have in the pantry and have a party…

Marc Fitch, author of “Shmexperts: How Ideology and Power Politics Are Disguised As Science,” says even the collapse of these kinds of doomsday predictions won’t do anything to discredit radical environmentalism among the faithful believers of global warming any time soon.

“The unfortunate truth of the matter is that environmentalists will only lose credibility with those who are already skeptical of the global warming movement,” Fitch told WND. “I think time will ultimately make the difference. The global warming movement in general seems to be grasping at any and everything these days to make their case, but the more they try to tie everything (ISIS, immigration, disease, war) to global warming, the more it just falls on deaf ears.”

Average temperature has remained steady for 15 years and some climate scientists suggest the Earth is on the verge of another ice age. Yet Fitch observed environmentalists keep deploying hysterical rhetoric to win over Americans to their cause.

“One of the problems with the environmental movement is that no good news is ever good news,” said Fitch. “The fact that the polar ice caps haven’t melted is seen as a reason to fight harder for their cause rather than give pause for consideration. One would figure that their dire predictions not materializing would be seen as a ray of hope, but instead activists see it as just further reason to preach doom and gloom.”

The bad-news-is-great-for-the-agenda strategy doesn’t seem to be working. A recent poll suggested Americans are relatively unconcerned about climate change, compared to the rest of the developed world.

Part of the problem for radical environmentalists, Fitch suggested, is their grim predictions don’t match up with the facts on the ground.

“There is always an explanation for why their models haven’t been correct or their dire predictions haven’t materialized,” he said. “In fact, there are usually many explanations. We’ve seen coal usage simultaneously cited as the cause of global warming and the reason that the Earth hasn’t warmed enough. With such a massively complex system like the climate, nearly any explanation can be made; it’s like playing connect the dots with the stars in the sky, there are probably millions of different lines of reasoning that can be drawn to make whatever picture you like.”

“They’re having to make excuses for the heat that never happened by claiming the ocean ate it,” he laughed. “Oh, yeah, the ocean ate the heat. It’s way down there at 700 feet below the surface. Well, 700 meters. So that would be almost a half a mile down there. That’s where all the heat is, and it’s gonna come bubbling up there. It’s gonna heat the saltwater, and the heat that the oceans ate is gonna heat up the saltwater, the saltwater is gonna flood and that’s how we’re gonna get the rising sea. This was in all of the pro-global warming, climate change analysis of last week.”

Unfortunately, Fitch said the global warming hysteria will continue for the foreseeable future, regardless of the facts, and skeptics may not live to see themselves vindicated.

“The public may grow even less concerned than they are now and politicians may eventually start to shy away from the global warming panic, but global warming activists do have time on their side,” he said.

“We know that the climate changes because it has done so in the past. We also know that it changes slowly but it does, sooner or later, shift. When that happens – whether we go into another ice age or become like the surface of Venus – some small cadre of activists will still be standing there with a sign saying that it is because of Big Oil.

“It’s like the sidewalk preacher who constantly warns, ‘The end is near.’ He doesn’t have to be right tomorrow, just right eventually. That’s the biggest asset that the activists have; they are warning about things 200 years in the future. Whether they are right or wrong doesn’t matter here and now and so they never have to admit to being wrong, just being a bit early in their predictions.” (townhall and WND)

Petulance @ 1600

Jeremy Oliver, a resident of Temecula, California–a town that neighbors Murrieta–told Breitbart Texas that local police officers warned the protesters that “it’s going to get ugly.”

Oliver said, “The feds are pissed that they haven’t been able to use this facility. Officers out there warned people that federal agents will be in Murrieta on Monday–they are going to get the next bus through no matter what. Riot gear and shields will be used to push the crowd back.”

John Henry, a Murrieta resident since 1991, was told the same thing by local officers.

“We’re being told that federal Marshals or ICE will be here in the next few days and that they are bringing riot gear,” Henry said. “They’re apparently going to be blocking off the street with concrete blockades so that no vehicles can get through. The River County Sheriff’s Department showed up last night and brought a huge watch tower that shoots up into the air 35 feet.”

Think about that. Riot police against legal citizen because they want to block Illegals. Who is more important to this administration, the actual American people or The Agenda on his new Welfare Democrats? 🙂

Derek Hunter: We don’t have a president leading our government; we have a petulant child throwing a series of temper tantrums.

Barack Obama has never shown an aptitude for leadership, mostly because he’s never led anything. But in his limited pre-government career as a community organizer, his job was not to accomplish anything. It simply was to get people riled up over the “injustice du-jour,” make them believe he has the cure for what ails them, and raise money. He’s run his presidency on this snake-oil-salesman mentality; only now, he’s begun to run out of suckers to bilk.

There always will be a base of sycophants, ideologues, profiteers, lemmings, low-information voters and, to put it simply, idiots, who will support any politician, no matter how awful. A Quinnipiac Poll released this week pegs that number at 8 percent for President Obama.

Best and worst presidents

And 4% who though the question was about the Kardasians… 🙂

Yes, after doubling the national debt, sustained high unemployment, the self-inflicted border crisis, the VA body count, weaponizing the IRS, all the scandals, the broken promises, the proven lies, the golf, the lavish vacations, the Supreme Court smack-downs, there is still 8 percent of the American public who think Barack Obama is the greatest president since World War II.

But 33 percent believe he’s the worst in the same time period, more than any other president.

People are waking up. Unfortunately, it’s too late.

It seems every week now the president gives a speech on how he’s going to act as though he’s a dictator because Congress won’t give him everything he wants. The “constitutional lawyer in the Oval Office” takes great joy in pretending the other two co-equal branches of government do not exist. And they might as well not exist, given the president’s interaction with them.

When not jetting off to public events around the country, always conveniently scheduled around Democratic fundraisers so taxpayers can pick up the travel tab, the president golfs. In fact, while on his “official trips” the president golfs. The only thing that can pull him off the links are campaign-style rallies and fundraisers. There’s never been a president more interested in the trappings of the office but less interested in the duties of it.

Even Democrats on Capitol Hill are grumbling about how disinterested President Obama has become in engaging Congress. The president never again will face the voters, but members of Congress will this fall. And they are the only conduit through which the people can take out their frustration over Obama’s failures. His allies are trying to push the tired mantra of a “do-nothing Congress,” but that can’t trump a “do-everything-wrong president.”

Even as the president golfs and ignores his duties, he still has an agenda. He could, through the traditional method of compromise and working with Congress, get a sizable portion of his agenda passed. But that doesn’t interest Barack Obama because compromise would mean giving Republicans something. You can’t “fundamentally transform” the country through giving an inch or doing things that will improve the economy. It must fall, people must be scared to death, if they are to accept a full-on intrusive, progressive government.

Barack Obama chooses to ignore tradition, ignore precedent, ignore the Constitution and use his magical pen to impose his will and his magical phone to rally his 8 percent mob. He has bet his place in history not on results, but on the cult of personality his handlers and minions in the media have built around him. And it is formidable.

The president’s “legend” was built before a single vote was cast. He was the smartest, most gifted man to ever run for office because, well, people sitting in front of television cameras said he was. There was more proof of Bigfoot than his brilliance, but a lie repeated earnestly enough, especially to a people trained to look externally for solutions to problems in their lives, has a way of obtaining credibility that the truth has difficulty overcoming. The truth is a tree and the lie a weed – it needs time to truly take root and grow, but it then sprouts quickly and can choke out anything else near it.

Barack Obama can give a speech, but his words are petty, small and meaningless. But the delivery, the visual of his Mussolini jaw jutting forward with confidence, the cheering crowd reminiscent of a revival meeting, the follow-up shameless repetition of known untruths all served a small part in intoxicating people into believing in the messenger and ignoring the message.

The euphoria has worn off all but the lost few unreachables. With his own dictates being rejected by the courts and the masses, his desperation is growing. Impotent in most legal ways, his shallow brand of leadership leaves him only with public temper tantrums, insults and complaints unworthy of his office. His “desperation bottom” has not yet been reached; he will keep falling because the alternative is beyond him.

That the American people have seen through the veneer of Barack Obama means there will be more late-night stand-up routines packaged as policy speeches, more complaints about people he won’t talk to being unwilling to work with him. Were there not an infinite supply of strawmen, they would be sacrificed to extinction in his remaining years. The only thing Obama will use more frequently than strawmen between now and Jan. 20, 2017, is the “mulligan.”

Our nation deserves better and will be better. The United States is strong enough to survive even the amount of damage one petulant man determined to destroy it can inflict. Not matter how many temper-tantrums he throws.

Provided he’s not succeeded By Queen Hillary, that is.

Ego Runneth Over

Obama has figured out why Americans perceive him as aloof: It’s the media’s fault

And the Republican’s want to help him with his image.

Pete Souza / White House

As he faces a reelection challenge with national job approval ratings still well below 50%, President Obama is seeking to portray himself as a man of the American people, stalled by those bipartisan know-nothings in Congress but determined to look out for the little guy in any way possible.

“We Can’t Wait” is his latest slogan, one which Republicans have mockingly picked up referring to the Nov. 6 election date.

After a brief bump from telling the Navy SEALs to kill Osama bin Laden, Obama’s approval is now no better than any other modern president and below all but one.

George W. Bush, who caused all the mess that Obama says he needs four more years to fix, was higher (49%) at this point in term one. And even doomed Democrat Jimmy Carter had majority approval (58%) at this late stage in his only term.

Obama will attempt to work on this public perception challenge Tuesday evening during his nationally-televised State of the Union Address to a joint session of Congress with a lengthy wish-list of populist programs. Soon after, comes his proposed federal budget.

Of course, very little of these ideas and items will ever come to pass, which the president knows.

As he seeks to become only the second Democrat president since World War II to win reelection, Obama is in reality building a premature platform to campaign on these next seven months leading to his party’s national convention in Charlotte.

A major challenge in Obama’s billion-dollar bid for a renewed lease on the White House and four more years to drive his progressive spending agenda is his image as an aloof Harvard elitist out of touch with ordinary citizens, much like 18th century French royalty.

One who golfs during wartime, stages frequent lavish celeb parties while citizens suffer high unemployment and foreclosure rates and vacations luxuriously on distant islands at the drop of a 747-boarding ramp. During last month’s holidays, Obama’s White House got by with only 37 Christmas trees.

With one highly-publicized exception last summer, Obama’s golfing partners and basketball buddies are almost always close friends or staff, an opportunity other chief executives have used for outreach bonding and socializing to ease everyday political cooperation and deals.

It took Obama 18 months, for instance, to invite the Senate opposition leader for an Oval Office coffee, a simple social gesture that most presidents accomplish their first week in office. Intentionally or not, even one of Obama’s favorite public postures (see White House photo above) gives off a sense of aloofness or arrogance. Watch for this gaze also as he reads the teleprompter Tuesday evening.

But now in one of a growing number of election year interviews, Obama reveals that he has figured out the real reason the American public sees him as cold, aloof and distant.

It’s the media’s fault.

Obama threw the entire Washington press corps under the bus. He was talking with a sympathetic Fareed Zakaria of Time in the Oval Office the other day.

In answer to a question, Obama said he’d forged close working relationships with world leaders such as Germany’s Angela Merkel, Britain’s David Cameron and India’s Singh. Speaking of himself in the third person, Obama predicted they would each say:

“We have a lot of trust and confidence in the President. We believe what he says. We believe that he’ll follow through on his commitments. We think he’s paying attention to our concerns and our interests. And that’s part of the reason we’ve been able to forge these close working relationships and gotten a whole bunch of stuff done.”

Zakaria then interjected: “You just can’t do it with John Boehner.”

And Obama replied:

“You know, the truth is, actually, when it comes to Congress, the issue is not personal relationships. My suspicion is that this whole critique has to do with the fact that I don’t go to a lot of Washington parties.

“And as a consequence, the Washington press corps maybe just doesn’t feel like I’m in the mix enough with them, and they figure, well, if I’m not spending time with them, I must be cold and aloof.”

Obama claimed he and his wife “don’t do the social scene” because they are busy with their two daughters.

On Thursday, for example, Obama began the day with office work, then flew two hours south for a 13-minute speech at Disney World. Then he flew two hours back north to New York City for speeches at four Manhattan political fundraisers, including a show at the Apollo and a party at Spike Lee’s place.

After another hour flight on Air Force One and 10 minutes in a Marine helicopter, the president returned to the White House shortly before 1 a.m. Friday.

But he’s not an aloof, aristocratic dictator-wanna be. 🙂

And the liberal media that is slobbering all over…It’s their fault.

They need to do a better job of slobbering?

Not possible.

Nope. It just has to be every being in the universe’s fault except his. Period.

Except no substitutions.

And everyone will be thrown under the bus to save his Majesty’s Ego.

And the proper response is “Thank you, Master. You are too kind”.

And another interesting tidbit, when His Emperorship is giving his canned Ra-Ra Campaign Speech full of lofty rhetoric he absolutely does not mean and lowdown dirty politics that does mean it will be Tuesday January 24, 2012.

1000 Days since the US Senate (and thus the US Government) has passed a budget (which is the Republicans fault for passing a budget the Democrats didn’t like 3 years ago!).

He will likely propose another budget that will get voted down 96-0 like the last one because it’s all symbolism.

The Republicans are to blame for every thing. And they are too busy beating the crap out of each other to notice.

If your Frappucino machine spills your coffee all over the counter that’s the fault of the Manufacturer which is some faceless corporate intentity that supports the Republican Party so it’s their fault!

The Tea party are a bunch crazed whackos!

And then everyone else is to be blame because he’s black.

No wonder survivalists are on the rise with going on.

His people say the Democrat has some new ideas on how to increase tourism to Florida and probably the entire 57 states. Naturally, this requires another Obama speech.

And what better place for a campaigning president to go lecture needlessly on improving tourism than the iconic institution that figured it all out decades ago, Walt Disney Resorts?

But here’s the problem with Obama going to Disney’s Main Street: They have to halt all tourism there for him to be seen encouraging more tourism, close the whole place down to tourists for much of the day while he’s there and before. Even Disney employees are being barred.

So, Main Street won’t look anything like the photo above. And the thousands of existing tourists who expected to spend a valuable vacation day strolling the old-fashioned shops for fudge and Mickey ears, riding the steam-powered cars and horse-drawn streetcars and getting a photo with the real Snow White today are just plum out of luck, like Grumpy.

This isn’t the first time Obama’s message has messed with the mechanics. A while back he flew about two hours to Columbus, Ohio for a 10-minute speech celebrating stimulus jobs at a construction site where workers had to take a day off without pay because the president decided to come mark their employment in front of cameras.

Does Obama, after all his lagging economic recovery, really want today’s political optics to be this oblivious president himself shutting down businesses all along any Main Street so that the Real Good Talker can read from a teleprompter at yet another hand-picked crowd for the cameras? Seriously?

Later, after the president’s entourage and motorcade depart the wonderful world of Disney following their private photo op visit, they’ll likely re-open the magical street to the tourists he was talking about getting more of. After how much lost business?

But Obama leaving Main Street is bad news for Broadway.

After shutting down Disney’s Main Street, President Obama is heading to New York City this afternoon to paralyze Manhattan traffic again. That’s because the Obama 2012 campaign has him scheduled for not one, not two, not three, but four campaign fundraisers in one evening.

Hopefully, the well-heeled 1% can listen as fast as he talks.

A common question I ask the “soak the rich” crowd (which usually gets an angry response): “Have you gotten your $38,500 “middle class warrior” autograph yet?”

He is a man of the people. He hates rich people. He hates Corporate America.

But they love him anyways and give him millions of dollars to continue bashing their heads in.

Why?

As I said yesterday, Zombies don’t understand logic or reason. They sure as hell don’t care.

Create an entirely new narrative. Push an entirely new issue. Change the subject from your record and your ideology, from massive debt and overreaching government, to fairness and inequality. Make the election a referendum on which party really cares about you, which party will stand up to the greedy rich who have pillaged the 99 percent and robbed the middle class of hope.

This charge, too, is straightforward: The Republicans serve as the protectors and enablers of the plutocrats, the exploiters who have profited while America suffers. They put party over nation, fat-cat donors over people, political power over everything.

It’s all rather uncomplicated, capturing nicely the Manichaean core of the Occupy movement — blame the rich, then soak them. But the real beauty of this strategy is its adaptability. While its first target was the do-nothing protect-the-rich Congress, it is perfectly tailored to fit the liabilities of Republican front-runner Mitt Romney — plutocrat, capitalist, 1 percenter.

Obama rolled out this class-war counter-narrative in his December 6 “Teddy Roosevelt” speech and hasn’t governed a day since. Every action, every proposal, every “we can’t wait” circumvention of the Constitution — such as recess appointments when the Senate is not in recess — is designed to fit this re-election narrative.

Hence: Where does Obama ostentatiously introduce the recess-appointed head of the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau? At a rally in swing-state Ohio, a stage prop for Obama to declare himself tribune of the little guy, scourge of the big banks and their soulless Republican guardians.

Now, economic inequality is an important issue, but the idea that it is the cause of America’s current economic troubles is absurd. Yet, in a stroke, the Republicans have succeeded in turning a Democratic talking point — a last-ditch attempt to salvage re-election by distracting from their record — into a central focus of the nation’s political discourse.

How quickly has the zeitgeist changed? Wednesday, the Republican House reconvened to reject Obama’s planned $1.2 trillion debt-ceiling increase. (Lacking Senate concurrence, the debt ceiling will be raised nonetheless.) No one noticed. It made page A16 of the New York Times. All eyes are on South Carolina and Romney’s taxes.

This is no mainstream-media conspiracy. This is the GOP maneuvering itself right onto Obama terrain.

The president is a very smart man. But if he wins in November, that won’t be the reason. It will be luck. He could not have chosen more self-destructive adversaries. (Charles Krauthammer)

As always, Charles, I agree.

What’s Worse than a Zombie Hoard coming to get you?

Your “protectors” giving you to them willingly because they are too busy beating the crap out of each other to “protect” you or even care if you live or die.

Thy Ego Runneth Over.

Channelling Your Inner Banana III: Transformation

Michael Ramirez Cartoon

A President Obama intent on achieving his transformative goals despite the disagreement of the American people has powerful weapons within reach. In one hand, he will have a veto pen to stop a new Republican Congress from repealing ObamaCare and the Dodd-Frank takeover of banks.

In the other, he will have a fistful of executive orders, regulations and Obama-made fiats that have the force of law.

Under ObamaCare, he can issue new rules and regulations so insidiously powerful in their effect that higher-priced, lower-quality and rationed health care will quickly become ingrained, leaving a permanent stain.

Under Dodd-Frank, he and his agents will control all credit and financial transactions, rewarding friends and punishing opponents, discriminating on the basis of race, gender and political affiliation. Credit and liquidity may be choked by bureaucracy and politics — and the economy will suffer.

He and the EPA may try to impose by “regulatory” fiats many parts of the cap-and-trade and other climate legislation that failed in the Congress.

And by executive orders and the interim effect of an industry-wide “boot on the neck” policy, he can continue to diminish energy production in the United States.

By the trick of letting current-law tax rates “expire,” he can impose a $3.5 trillion 10-year tax increase that damages job-creating capital investment in an economy struggling to recover. And by failing to enforce the law and leaving America’s borders open, he can continue to repopulate America with unfortunate illegals whose skill and education levels are low and whose political attitudes are often not congenial to American-style democracy.

A wounded rampaging president can do much damage — and, like Caesar, the evil he does will live long after he leaves office, whenever that may be.

The overgrown, un-pruned power of the presidency to reward, punish and intimidate may now be so overwhelming that his re-election in 2012 is already assured — Chicago-style. (IBD)

I would add a liberal “activist” judiciary that rules from the bench rather than rules based on law. “Social Justice” and global law, not Constitutional law.

Supreme Court Nominee Elena Kagan is just the latest example. She has no qualification for judicial experience, but she a damn good and loyal social justice advocate.

Add in the wanna be-precedent the Justice Dept is trying to set here in Arizona that says the Federal Government has supreme power over the States.

Ultimate Supremacy is the goal.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs has argued that the Wednesday ruling by Judge Susan Bolton demonstrates the need to listen to the president, who pledges to make the immigration initiative a first-year priority but has seen it slip through the sizeable cracks in congressional cooperation.

“I think we will talk about the need for everyone involved to step up and solve that problem,” Gibbs said about immigration. “I hope that everybody that’s running for office at a federal level this fall will talk about, after the judge has ruled that this is the purview of the federal government, I hope each of these candidates will discuss what they think and what the federal government must do to deal with it.”

Not after their was a fair hearing, just after the government crushes you under it’s boot…

Add in a Justice Department that will only prosecute you if you are outside of their apparatchik “base”.

And if you’re in an industry, like Oil, that this administration hates?

Watch out! They are gunning for you baby! And in the “nicest” possible way… 🙂

Even the simplest of political gestures that are off the ideological  imperative are grudgingly slow.

Earlier this month, the Department of Homeland Security said the troops would be sent Aug. 1. But now both the National Guard Bureau and the Customs Border Protection says that date was when they were directed to start ramping up their numbers.

Arizona lawmakers shook their heads in disgust.

“This administration seems to promise a lot and then when you get into the fine print, it just doesn’t happen,” said Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., who has called for 6,000 National Guard troops.

Asked whether he had been briefed on what role the troops would play, McCain said, “We have not been briefed, and we have asked for briefing both in writing and verbally, and the answer is,’we’ll get back to you.'”

A total of 524 will be stationed in Arizona, with 250 in Texas, 224 in California and 72 in New Mexico. An additional 130 will serve in “command-and-control” and other support positions.

Boy that will scare the illegals and the drug cartels! 😦

And we shouldn’t read anything into the states “expedited” appeal (after the feds got a ruling in 6 days) being scheduled for 3 months from now on Election Night, now should we… 🙂

You think it stops there: Oh no, dear reader not by a long shot.

https://i0.wp.com/gatewaypundit.firstthings.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Rules-for-radicals.jpg

You send your kids to Public School everyday trusting that those who influence them for more hours a day than you do, are honest, trust worthy and are only interested in teaching the ABC’s and 123′s.

Well for most teachers I believe that is the case, but for those in the NEA who are involved in “Grass Roots” organizing, they may have been influenced by a little more than reading, writing and arithmetic.

According to the NEA website, the Radical Communist Saul Alinsky’s Book, “Rules for Radicals” is recommended reading to all of their members :

” of our Association who are involved in grassroots organizing, especially Association Representatives (ARs) — also known as building reps or shop stewards — and leaders at local affiliates”

The NEA describes Saul Alinsky as : “the father of, and pre-imminent expert in, grassroots organizing”

So if you can’t get the adults go for the children! 🙂

“Alinsky’s brand of revolution was not characterized by dramatic, sweeping, overnight transformations of social institutions. As Richard Poe puts it, “Alinsky viewed revolution as a slow, patient process. The trick was to penetrate existing institutions such as churches, unions and political parties.” He advised organizers and their disciples to quietly, subtly gain influence within the decision-making ranks of these institutions, and to introduce changes from that platform.”

So Alinksy’s concept of radically changing society was not to have a Revolution overnight but to infiltrate the “Institutions” such as Unions.. Like the NEA. So that from these areas of influence they may introduce “changes” to Society. Or in the NEA’s case, possible influence over future generations.

Now the NEA does try to say the reason that they feel they can recommend Saul Alinsky’s books is because a Conservative wrote a book called “Rules for Conservative Radicals” using Saul Aslinsky’s work as a template. Therefore the NEA is being non-partisan in making the recommendation.

But what they fail to mention is that the only reason an Author wrote “Rules for Conservative Radicals” is because the left in this country have been using Saul Alinksy’s books as a blueprint for their political activity. So in order for the right to counter Saul Alinsky’s tactics they must first know them. So the NEA’s attempt to make the works of a radical communist a recommendation for their members a non-issue fails miserably.

So where have you heard the Liberal justification, “But Mom, they did it to!”??

Bush anyone? 🙂

He’s both the Devil incarnate and the Excuse Incarnate. 🙂

It would be one thing if a teacher read it on their own, but for an organization that has such influence over your children to recommend such a radical piece of literature to their members so that it may help them with their jobs as a Member of the NEA is disturbing….at the very least.

This past week, Secretary of (Re)Education Arne Duncan said at the National Press Club that he’d like to have schools open 12 to 14 hours a day and 11 to 12 months out of the year musing aloud that he wanted to have your children for an extended period to help them “compete internationally.”

“oppressive hegemony” of the capitalist social order “reproduces” itself through the traditional practice of public schooling-critical pedagogy’s fancy way of saying that the evil corporations exercise thought control through the schools.-Maxine Greene, a mentor of domestic terrorist Bill Ayers who was friend and financial and political supporter of Candidate Obama.

Greene told future teachers that they could help change this bleak landscape by developing a “transformative” vision of social justice and democracy in their classrooms.

Social Justice? So where have I heard that lately. 🙂

Everywhere in the Liberal media and is that related to the Racial Justice Director at that Tucson YWCA? You Betcha!

Big Brother wants you’re young.

They should portray “homelessness as a consequence of the private dealings of landlords, an arms buildup as a consequence of corporate decisions, racial exclusion as a consequence of a private property-holder’s choice.” In other words, they should turn the little ones into young socialists and critical theorists. (American Thinker 2008)

It’s funny that America never had a problem excelling until secular progressives, with their Marxist bent, became the pace car for the public school system. (Doug Giles)

“We’ve created a sector rooted in the assumption that every single year there would be more money than there was the year before,” Rick Hess, an education policy analyst and resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute said. “It’s as if nobody ever imagined that they’d ever have to cut spending.”

“It’s amazing how in education, we keep telling ourselves we’re about the kids. But then we have to shorten the school year because we can’t imagine, heaven forbid, how to trim salaries,” Hess said. “It just strikes me as irresponsible management.”

Or cut extra-circular activities, etc.

Then add in the stories I mentioned previously about the Girl Scouts are effectively crack dealers for fat, Salt is evil and bake sales are banned at schools because they are politically incorrect to the Food Police.

What you have is oppression from all “fairness” corners.

And under all this, the Secretary of Education wants to EXTEND the school day!

So where’s the money coming from, it sure as hell won’t come from administrative cuts?

Bend over! 🙂

Sound familiar?

But don’t worry, We are from the Government and we are here to help you and protect you– from yourself! 🙂

Channeling Your Inner Banana II: The Indoctri-NATION

June 26th I wrote a blog entitled, “Getting in Touch with your Inner Banana” (https://indyfromaz.wordpress.com/2010/06/26/) in which I espoused about the coming more than just leanings of Banana Republic Dictatorship that our current President seems to aspire to.

Well, it’s Time for a sequel.

But first a word about his friends in the Ministry of Truth (The Mainstream Media).

The TV networks have aggressively demonstrated their dislike of Arizona’s state law “cracking down on illegal immigrants,” a law that “pits neighbor against neighbor.” An MRC review of morning and evening news programs on ABC, CBS, and NBC from April 23 to July 25 found the networks have aired 120 stories with an almost ten-to-one tilt against the Arizona law (77 negative, 35 neutral, 8 positive).

The soundbite count was also tilted over the last three months — 216 to 107, or an almost exact two-to-one disparity. Network anchors and reporters sided against defenders of border control and championed sympathetic illegal aliens and their (usually American-born) children. In 120 stories, they never described “immigrants rights activists” as liberals or on the left.

Between them, the three networks described the Arizona law as “controversial” on 27 occasions, despite its popularity in opinion polls. The Obama administration’s decision to sue file a lawsuit against Arizona to crush the law was never described as “controversial.”

These are the Journo-Lists who profess to be “journalists” that are fair and objective. They are anything but.

They are toadies for their guy and their ideology. Nothing more, Nothing less than full on indoctrination.

The networks highlighted the “army” of protesters against the Arizona law and ignored their sometimes radical connections. As with sympathetic media coverage of large amnesty rallies in 2006, none of the stories allowed anyone to suggest it was improper for illegal aliens to petition the government whose laws they’re breaking or cancel out the votes of law-abiding citizens.

On May 30, ABC anchor David Muir asked, “Will an army of protesters be heard?” Reporter Jeremy Hubbard began his story for World News: “In their most massive numbers yet, a deluge of adversaries rally and rail against what could soon be the law of the land in Arizona.”

Network correspondents routinely mourned how illegal aliens didn’t feel welcome in Arizona, and felt they had to move back to Mexico or other friendlier states. On July 8, NBC reporter Lee Cowan sympathized with Marcial Bolanos, who didn’t think Arizona was a good place any more. “He took his 15-year-old son out of school and is headed back to Mexico, which brings Hugo to tears. But you’re really going to miss your friends?” Hugo said “Yeah.” The networks didn’t apply this blatant emotional appeal on behalf of families who’ve lost loved ones in crimes committed by illegal aliens.

You get one sob story after another, emotional appeals about heartless Arizonans who want to destroy “immigrant” (not illegal immigrant) families and friends.

Only Fox as far as I can see ever mentions Richard Krentz, the farmer who was murdered on his own land by drug smugglers as a victim. they even talked to his widow. If they do mention him, it is only in passing.

Take ABC News:  Ranchers have seen cattle slaughtered and pulled apart by hungry people stealing across the border, and one resident, Robert Krentz, may have been shot dead by an alleged illegal immigrant as he patrolled his land last month.

They tracked the killers all the way to the Mexican Border, by the way.

Then the media always follows up with their own lies, damn lies and statistics.

The U.S. Border Patrol says apprehensions along the Arizona-Mexico frontier are up 6 percent from October to April.

The Arizona Republic went on to report that, “according to the Border Patrol, Krentz is the only American murdered by a suspected illegal immigrant in at least a decade within the agency’s Tucson sector, the busiest smuggling route among the Border Patrol’s nine coverage regions along the U.S.-Mexican border.”

So it’s no big deal. Nothing to see here. But then again, he was white, so not much sympathy there. 😦

In 18 of 120 stories, the networks mentioned the public opinion polls, in which broad majorities favor the Arizona law. One poll question the networks didn’t ask was if it might seem odd for the Obama administration to sue Arizona for trying to enforce immigration laws, but would not sue cities that vowed to ignore immigration laws, which call themselves “sanctuary cities.”

A Rasmussen poll found 54 percent favored the Justice Department suing “sanctuary cities,” and 61 percent favored cutting off federal aid to them. But the three networks haven’t used the words “sanctuary city” since 2007, when it was a hot topic in the Republican primary debates. It was never mentioned, so was never described as “controversial.” (MRC)

So upwards of 70% of the American People are for Arizona, but the Ministry of Truth Mainstream Media is not. So they continue to hammer the propaganda home.

Just like the media of a dictator.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey, taken after the judge’s Tuesday ruling, finds that 59% favor passage of an Arizona-like immigration law in their state, marking little change from earlier this month. Just 32% oppose such a law.

Support for the building of a fence along the Mexican border has reached a new high, and voters are more confident than ever that illegal immigration can be stopped.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 68% of U.S. voters now believe the United States should continue to build a fence on the Mexican border. That’s up nine points from March when the Obama administration halted funding for the fence and the highest level of support ever.

Support for the fence is strong across all demographic groups. But while 76% of Mainstream voters think the United States should continue to build the fence, 67% of the Political Class are opposed to it.

So what you have is a Mainstream Media that reports the news the way they want to hear it and the way they want you to think about it.

It’s Propaganda.

AMNESTY II

With Congress gridlocked on an immigration bill, the Obama administration  is considering using a back door to stop deporting many illegal immigrants – what a draft government memo said could be “a non-legislative version of amnesty.”

“This memorandum offers administrative relief options to . . . reduce the threat of removal for certain individuals present in the United States without authorization,” it reads. (see below)

The memo, addressed to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Director Alejandro Mayorkas and written by four agency staffers, lists tools it says the administration has to “reduce the threat of removal” for many illegal immigrants who have run afoul of immigration authorities.

“In the absence of comprehensive immigration reform, USCIS can extend benefits and/or protections to many individuals and groups by issuing new guidance and regulations, exercising discretion with regard to parole-in-place, deferred action and the issuance of Notices to Appear,” the staffers wrote in the memo, which was obtained by Sen. Charles E. Grassley, Iowa Republican.

The memo suggests that in-depth discussions have occurred on how to keep many illegal immigrants in the country, which would be at least a temporary alternative to the proposals Democrats in Congress have made to legalize illegal immigrants.

Chris Bentley, a USCIS spokesman, said drafting the memo doesn’t mean the agency has embraced the policy and “nobody should mistake deliberation and exchange of ideas for final decisions.”

“As a matter of good government, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will discuss just about every issue that comes within the purview of the immigration system,” he said in an e-mail statement. “We continue to maintain that comprehensive bipartisan legislation, coupled with smart, effective enforcement, is the only solution to our nation’s immigration challenges.”

He said the Homeland Security Department “will not grant deferred action or humanitarian parole to the nation’s entire illegal immigrant population.”

The memo does talk about targeting specific groups of illegal immigrants.

Mr. Grassley said it confirms his fears that the administration is trying an end-run around Congress.

“This memo gives credence to our concerns that the administration will go to great lengths to circumvent Congress and unilaterally execute a backdoor amnesty plan,” Mr. Grassley said.
The memo acknowledges some of the tools could be costly and might even require asking Congress for more money.

At one point, the authors acknowledge that widespread use of “deferred action” – or using prosecutorial discretion not to deport someone – would be “a non-legislative version of ‘amnesty.’ ”

The authors noted several options for deferred action, including targeting it to students who would be covered by the DREAM Act, a bill that’s been introduced in Congress.

In testifying to the Senate Judiciary Committee on May 11, Mr. Mayorkas first said he was unaware of discussions to use these kinds of tools on a categorical basis, then later clarified that officials had talked about expanding the use of those powers.

“I don’t know of any plans. I think we have discussed, as we always do, the tools available to us and whether the deployment of any of those tools could achieve a more fair and efficient use or application of the immigration law,” he said.

He acknowledged, though, that he was not aware that those powers had ever been used before on a categorical basis.

Sen. John Cornyn, the Texas Republican who queried Mr. Mayorkas on the subject, warned him against pursuing that strategy.

“I think it would be a mistake for the administration to use administrative action, like deferred action on a categorical basis, to deal with a large number of people who are here without proper legal documents to regularize their status without Congress’ participation. I will just say that to you for what it’s worth,” Mr. Cornyn, the ranking Republican on the Senate Judiciary immigration, border security and citizenship subcommittee, told Mr. Mayorkas.

“The American public’s confidence in the federal government’s ability and commitment to enforce our immigration laws is at an all-time low,” Mr. Cornyn said in a statement. “This apparent step to circumvent Congress – and avoid a transparent debate on how to fix our broken immigration system –  threatens to further erode public confidence in its government and makes it less likely we will ever reach consensus and pass credible border security and immigration reform.”

After reports earlier this year that the agency was working on these sorts of plans, Senate Republicans, led by Mr. Grassley, have sent letters to President Obama and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano asking for details.

In recent weeks, Sen. Chuck Grassley and others in Congress have been pressing the administration to disavow rumors that a de facto amnesty is in the works, including in a letter to Department of Homeland Security head Janet Napolitano. “Since the senators first wrote to the president more than a month ago, we have not been reassured that the plans are just rumors, and we have every reason to believe that the memo is legitimate,” a Grassley spokesman tells NR. (NR contacted DHS, but a spokesman did not have a comment on the record.)

Many of the memo’s proposals are technical and fine-grained; for example, it suggests clarifying the immigration laws for “unaccompanied minors, and for victims of human trafficking, domestic violence, and other criminal activities.” It also proposes extending the “grace period” H-1B visa holders have between the expiration of their visa and the date they’re expected to leave the country.

With other ideas, however, USCIS is aiming big. Perhaps the most egregious suggestion is to “Increase the Use of Deferred Action.” “Deferred action,” as the memo defines it, “is an exercise of prosecutorial discretion not to pursue removal from the U.S. of a particular individual for a specific period of time.” For example, after Hurricane Katrina, the government decided not to remove illegal immigrants who’d been affected by the disaster.

The memo claims that there are no limits to USCIS’s ability to use deferred action, but warns that using this power indiscriminately would be “controversial, not to mention expensive.” The memo suggests using deferred action to exempt “particular groups” from removal — such as the illegal-immigrant high-school graduates who would fall under the DREAM Act (a measure that has been shot down repeatedly in Congress). The memo claims that the DREAM Act would cover “an estimated 50,000” individuals, though as many as 65,000 illegal immigrants graduate high school every year in the U.S.

Mind you this Memo was 11 Pages long!

Grassley says it is “ridiculous” to think a memo containing this kind of detail was drawn up without specific direction from someone in the administration. “Bureaucrats don’t write memos like that for the fun of it,” he said.

This is not a school grade writing exercise, after all.

And the memo seeks to out ‘touchy-feely’ ’emotional’ exemptions. So if you want to object to them you’re just a heartless, mean and cruel, uncaring bastard.

Sound familiar? 🙂

UPDATE: USCIS has released a statement on the memo:

Internal draft memos do not and should not be equated with official action or policy of the Department. We will not comment on notional, pre-decisional memos. As a matter of good government, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will discuss just about every issue that comes within the purview of the immigration system. We continue to maintain that comprehensive bipartisan legislation, coupled with smart, effective enforcement, is the only solution to our nation’s immigration challenges.

Internal memoranda help us do the thinking that leads to important changes; some of them are adopted and others are rejected. Our goal is to implement policies wisely and well to strengthen all aspects of our mission. The choices we have made so far have strengthened both the enforcement and services sides of USCIS — nobody should mistake deliberation and exchange of ideas for final decisions. To be clear, DHS will not grant deferred action or humanitarian parole to the nation’s entire illegal immigrant population.

Don’t mind us, we just write 11-page detailed judicial memos as way of just chewing the fat, nothing to see here.

Given the backroom secrecy that has been “transparent” in this administration shouldn’t the fact that they are even discussing ways to circumvent Congress worry you?

Yes, they should.

Much like the “promises” made about Health Care reform which we know now from sworn testimony to be false.

So doesn’t that sound like he and his apparatchiks are getting in even more touch with their Inner Banana (Dictatorship)?

It does to me.

Beyond the confines of the courtroom, however, that question is all that the controversy over S.B. 1070 is about: Do we as a country want to enforce the immigration laws or not? It’s time to answer that question.

And is the Government of The People, By the People and For the The People going to perish under a propaganda and legal parsers onslaught with the willing compliance of the touchy-feely Fifth Column Ministry of Truth Media? 😦

That is the question.

The Empire Strikes Back

Episode V

THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK

It is a dark time for the
Rebellion. Although the Government
By the People for the The People
has been nearly destroyed,
Imperial troops have driven the
Rebel forces from their hidden
base and pursued them across
the country.

Evading the dreaded Imperial
Media a group of freedom
fighters led by Gov. Jan Brewer
has established a new secret
base on the remote desert oasis
of  Phoenix, AZ.

The evil lord Darth Holder
obsessed with finding New
Voters for his Emperor has
dispatched thousands of
Trial Lawyers into the far
reaches of the desert…

<<cuhh huah>>  <<cuhh huah>>  <<cuhh huah>> <<cuhh huah>> <<cuhh huah>> <<cuhh huah>>

The lawyers for the for The InJustice Department fanned across the desert with their allies from the American Communist Liberals Union (ACLU), SEIU, The Raza, Somos America, MeCHA, MSNBC, The Los Angeles Times, and others.

“I’m hunting Wacists!” Stormtrooper  E. Fudd was heard to say.

Then they found their base, SB 1070.

And they launched an all-out assault against the rebels strong hold.

The Imperial Walkers of  “outraged” minorities , out-of-state agitators, and Union stormtroopers descended on the based armed with their sanctimony and their signs carrying their race cards in their media pockets.

The base was taken temporarily but the rebels themselves escaped.

Though they were temporarily beaten, battered, and bruised, they lived to fight another day.

For after all, the Empire’s main weapon was the dreaded RACIST CANNON, able to fire invectives of pure hatred and partisanship.

But  not all hope was lost for the Rebels.

For the people were on their side….

Darth Holder, minion of the Emperor Himself, was heard to proclaim that just because the Empire has no interest in securing the border doesn’t mean the individual governors can usurp Imperial power and do his job for or with him.

IF THE EMPIRE WANTS TO IGNORE BORDER SECURITY YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DISAGREE!

<<cuhh huah>>  <<cuhh huah>>  <<cuhh huah>> <<cuhh huah>> <<cuhh huah>> <<cuhh huah>>

YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO “HELP” or  “ASSIST” or otherwise burden or force the Empire into DOING IT’S JOB!

I AM EMPEROR OBAMA, What I say goes. Period.

IF WE WANT TO IGNORE BORDER SECURITY, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DO OUR JOB FOR US!

We have 12 million new potential Democrats and millions of Latinos lemmings to pander to. You  rebel scum are not allowed to disobey with the wishes of your Imperial Federal Masters!

So what if we ignore Voter Intimidation by The New Black Panthers.

So what if 60% of Americans were against our Imperial Health Care.

So, we said repeatedly and loudly that the Health Care Mandate wasn’t a Tax, but then said it was in court.

So what. We are are Supreme. We can do that!

So what if 60-70% of the Americans support the rebels in securing our border first.

So what if we still go on about “racial profiling” and create racial division as justification, but then in court assert none of it and go for SUPREMACY instead.

So what if we pass 2000+ page bills that “you have to pass them to know what’s in them” that we never read anyhow.

So what if the Journo-List Ministry of Truth lies.

Like it matters to us.

WE ARE THE EMPIRE and we Are SUPREME.

If you don’t like it, lump it!

And don’t you dare “over burden” us with doing our job!

We have too many rounds of golf to play. To many private concerts, 5-star luxury hotels to take over for our imperial vacations.

We are just better than you. Live with it.

We work really hard at dividing this country by class and race. It’s exhausting!

Judge Bolton: “requiring Arizona law enforcement officials and agencies to determine the immigration status of every person who is arrested burdens lawfully-present aliens because their liberty will be restricted while their status is check.” She additionally found that the burdensome verification requirement “will divert resources from the federal government’s other responsibilities and priorities.”

Judge Bolton wrote in her stay that “preserving the status quo through a preliminary injunction is less harmful than allowing state laws that are likely preempted by federal law to be enforced.” She adds in her 36-page ruling “There is a substantial likelihood that officers will wrongfully arrest legal resident aliens.” She concludes that “By enforcing this statue, Arizona would impose a ‘distinct, unusual and extraordinary’ burden on legal resident aliens that only the federal government has the authority to impose.”

Don’t you dare burden the Empire with actually doing their job!!! HOW DARE YOU!!

You do have to feel sorry for the Empire in this sense:

They have know had to admit their own incompetence on National Security and that doing their job is too “burdensome” for them.

They have had to admit they told a bold faced lie about the Health Care Mandate being a Tax.

They have had to admit that they are racially biased (The New Black Panther Case) and are not interested in anyone who isn’t their “base”. No crackers need apply.

Every time they say they are going to be “transparent” they become more secretive.

Under a little-noticed provision of the recently passed financial-reform legislation, the Securities and Exchange Commission no longer has to comply with virtually all requests for information releases from the public, including those filed under the Freedom of Information Act.

The law, signed last week by President Obama, exempts the SEC from disclosing records or information derived from “surveillance, risk assessments, or other regulatory and oversight activities.” Given that the SEC is a regulatory body, the provision covers almost every action by the agency, lawyers say. Congress and federal agencies can request information, but the public cannot.

I guess that means that Congress and the SEC are too big to fail. 🙂

Every problem or criticism of them they think can be solved by unfettered use of the RACE CARD.

The “culture of corruption” the Democrats ran on in 2006 and 2008 turns out to be like Luke Skywalker in the dream cave sequence, it turns out to be THEM! 🙂

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) on Tuesday noted that it was Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), not him, who promised to “drain the swamp” of corruption in Washington.

“I didn’t use that term,” Hoyer said when asked if he thinks Democrats have “drained the swamp.”  “What I believed and continue to believe is that we have made the ethics process work, and we have made it work in a meaningful way.”(The Hill)

Yes, FOR THEM and AGAINST YOU! 🙂

They know that raising taxes in a recession that hasn’t gotten better despite all their claims to the contrary but they can’t not do it because they have to demonize “the rich” and have no choice but to stick it to everyone because of it.

The Ideology is The ideology.

The Agenda is The Agenda.

The Empire must Strike Back!

The Empire Must be Supreme!

All Hail The Emperor!

The Emperor has No Clothes! 🙂

The Winning Strategy II: The Voters

“When the right-wing noise machine starts promoting another alleged scandal, you shouldn’t suspect that it’s fake — you should presume that it’s fake, until further evidence becomes available,” columnist Paul Krugman wrote in The New York Times.

So you wonder why the Liberal Media won’t cover or covers up stories like Rev. Wright, The Black Panthers Case, ACORN scandal, etc.

Or at least they won’t cover it like “journalists” actually would.

They are the Ministry of Truth after all.

So now we come to the Vote.

Supposed to be the most sacred act in America.

Unless you want to win by any means necessary that is. The end justifies the means.

So cast yourself back to 2000.

VP Al Gore has won the popular vote but not the Electoral College.

Forget all the crap about “hanging chads” and focus on the Electoral College.

Liberals have been fuming mad about this for 10 years.

Yes, it was the first time in nearly 200 years that this occurred. But it happened to THEM.

The vastly superior Liberal Progressives. That can’t be allowed to stand.

Problem is, it’s in the Constitution.

Article II, Section 1, Clause 2 of the Constitution specifies how many electors each state is entitled to have and that each state’s legislature decides how its electors are to be chosen. U.S. territories are not represented in the Electoral College. The Electoral College is an example of an indirect election.

Citizens vote for electors, representing a state, who are the authorized constitutional participants in a presidential election. In early U.S. history, some state laws delegated the choice of electors to the state legislature. Electors are free to vote for anyone eligible to be President, but in practice pledge to vote for specific candidates and voters cast ballots for favored presidential and vice presidential candidates by voting for correspondingly pledged electors.

And here’s where the Liberals want to corrupt the process.

The Electoral College is there to prevent the most populace states for running roughshod over the smaller states. Everyone gets a proportional vote.

But the liberals have been pissed that they lost to George W Bush in 2000 in the Electoral College ever since.

Not for any other reason that pure partisanship.

And now they want to subvert it, for pure partisanship. Along with other tactics to cheat to win.

It’s called euphemistically, The National Popular Vote Bill.

And it has begun in liberal states.

Under the proposed law, all of the state’s electoral votes would be awarded to the candidate who receives the most votes nationally.

Supporters are waging a state-by-state campaign to try to get such bills enacted. Once states possessing a majority of the electoral votes (or 270 of 538) have enacted the laws, the candidate winning the most votes nationally would be assured a majority of the Electoral College votes, no matter how the other states vote and how their electoral votes are distributed.

Illinois, New Jersey, Hawaii, Maryland, and Washington have already adopted the legislation, according to the National Popular Vote campaign’s website.

It sounds innocent enough, doesn’t it? But that’s just the apple. There is a donkey-shaped snake in this garden.

This effort began innocently enough several years ago when a few law professors were doing what some might say they do best: engaging in mental gymnastics, apparently just for the fun of it. Or maybe as a part of a continuing effort to see who can outdo the other, coming up with imaginative ways to legally do something that was supposed to be illegal. Could they come up with a way to eliminate the Electoral College without actually amending the Constitution?

Remember this isn’t about changing the Constitution. This is about manipulating it.

Keeping the system, but pass laws that gut it and hollow it so it means nothing.

Then you have, Amnesty for 12 million new Democrats.

You have ACORN, busted for voter fraud.

Deputy Assistant Attorney General Julie Fernandes made a jaw-dropping announcement to attorneys in Justice’s Voting Rights section. She said she would not support any enforcement of a key section of the federal “Motor Voter” law — Section 8, which requires states to periodically purge their voter rolls of dead people, felons, illegal voters and those who have moved out of state.

You have The New Black Panther Voter Intimidation case that the Dept of Justice refuses to handle.

“We’re not interested in those kind of cases. What do they have to do with helping increase minority access and turnout? We want to increase access to the ballot, not limit it.”

Access for minorities that is…

Last year, Justice abandoned a case it had pursued for three years against Missouri for failing to clean up its rolls. When filed in 2005, one-third of Missouri counties had more registered voters than voting-age residents. What’s more, Missouri Secretary of State Robin Carnahan, a Democrat who this year is her party’s candidate for a vacant U.S. Senate seat, contended that her office had no obligation to ensure individual counties were complying with the federal law mandating a cleanup of their voter rolls.

The case made slow but steady progress through the courts for more than three years, amid little or no evidence of progress in cleaning up Missouri’s voter rolls. Despite this, Obama Justice saw fit to dismiss the case in March 2009. Curiously, only a month earlier, Ms. Carnahan had announced her Senate candidacy. Missouri has a long and documented history of voter fraud in Democratic-leaning cities such as St. Louis and Kansas City. Ms. Carnahan may now stand to benefit from voter fraud facilitated by the improperly kept voter rolls that she herself allowed to continue. (WSJ)

So you have a Dept of Justice that will go after Arizona for Illegal immigration enforcement but will ignore voter fraud and voter intimidation.

You have a Justice Department that isn’t interested in the rule of law, but the rule of ideology.

You have the Propaganda of the Liberal Media that has now been absolutely been proven to be manipulating the facts for their own agenda.

The SEIU thugs (who beat up a Tea Party activist last year and got away with it, by the way)

Class Warfare rhetoric.

Race Wars (getting minorities to vote against “crackers”– aka Republicans)

“You’re a Racist” if you disagree.

The DISCLOSE Act that would restrict corporations (aka non-liberals mostly) and favor Union speech again.

And you have hundreds of thousands of  “illegal voters” out there that you refuse to clean off the books (i.e. the deceased, or felons, etc).

Pack the courts with activist Judges and liberal ideologues.

And you have the makings of a banana republic farce where you hold an election just to make it look like it matters but in point of fact you’ve rigged the outcome.

That would work for the progressive liberal superiority complex now wouldn’t it.

It’s “fair”. 🙂

They win every time. That’s “democratic” 🙂

Five states have so far endorsed this ill-advised scheme to skirt the Constitution: Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey and Washington (61 electoral votes). The latest fronts in this battle are Massachusetts (12 electoral votes) and New York (31 electoral votes). The Massachusetts House and New York Senate have both approved the bills, so approval by the Massachusetts Senate and New York Assembly would send the measure to the states’ respective governors. Both states could act at any time. Three other state legislatures have approved NPV, although the bills were vetoed: California, Rhode Island, and Vermont (62 electoral votes). The Rhode Island House later rejected the measure. These latter states remain important because of a lawsuit that could be filed in an attempt to overturn the vetoes.

If each of these states is included, NPV could have as many as 166 electoral votes in favor of its scheme. It needs 270 to essentially eliminate the Electoral College. NPV is close to success, yet because of the manner in which it is seeking change, the vast majority of the country remains completely unaware that the presidential election system is so close to such radical change.

So you secretly line up your forces.

That’s very “democratic” isn’t it 🙂

The country can’t conduct one coherent national election when there are 51 different sets of state and local election codes in place. Today, the variance among state election laws is irrelevant because each state (plus D.C.) need accomplish nothing more than elect its own slate of electors. In essence, Americans conduct 51 different elections and expect 51 different sets of results. NPV, by contrast, expects to smash these 51 sets of laws into one completely national result. It won’t work. Instead, the resulting chaos will make Florida 2000 look like a picnic. (campaignfreedom.com)

So I guess the federal government would have to come and have “supremacy” in order to have an orderly election process and ensure it was “fair” for all. 🙂

And it would bring “order” to the “chaos”…

Sssssssssssssssssssssss  🙂
