But I am Your King!

Now, 25 Republican governors – and one Democrat too – have said they don’t want Syrian refugees in their states, as President Obama recommitted the U.S. to take a portion of this population fleeing from ISIS.

Military age males…unable to vet properly (according to FBI and Intelligence agencies) from the country is the #1 sponsor and producer of terrorists in the world and one of the Paris Terrorists was a “refugee”. I don’t understand the reason for them to be cautious. 🙂

‘It is very important,’ Obama said. ‘That we do not close our hearts to these victims of such violence and somehow start equating the issue of refugees with the issue of terrorism.’

Yeah, don’t equate my Agenda with fighting terrorism. 🙂

my little trojan pony

Oh, and the Leftist yesterday were also going all “Supremacy Clause” on me so you know it’s about the Agenda and The Narrative and not about national security. It’s pure partisan politics.

You will do as your King commands or else!

The problem for Jindal, Abbott and the other governors opposed to admitting refugees, however, is that there is no lawful means that permits a state government to dictate immigration policy to the president in this way. As the Supreme Court explained in Hines v. Davidowitz, “the supremacy of the national power in the general field of foreign affairs, including power over immigration, naturalization and deportation, is made clear by the Constitution.” States do not get to overrule the federal government on matters such as this one.

This power to admit refugees fits within the scheme of “broad discretion exercised by immigration officials” that the Supreme Court recognized in its most recent major immigration case, Arizona v. United States. (Think Progress)

So you KNOW it’s just partisan politics. You might remember this one. It;s where the State of Arizona decided that since the Feds were not enforcing Federal Law, that they would and Obama and Holder slap them down basically saying if the they want to ignore the border they can.

Mind you, the Left also says the refugees and illegal immigration are two different issues, but they combine them anyways when it’s about their politics and their Agenda.

So you know it’s all politics.

‘If there were a group of radical Christians pledging to murder anyone who had a different religious view than they, we would have a different national security situation,’ Cruz said, who criticized the Obama administration for ‘pretend[ing] as if there is no religious aspect to this.’

Could be because he’s partial to Muslims over Christians. 🙂

But i’m just being “Islamophobic”, “heartless” and “aprtisan” right? It’s because Barack is black right? 🙂

Above, states where governors have voiced opposition to Syrian refugees are in dark red, with states voicing support for the resettlement in pink. Gray states have not made a statement, suggested a review of the policy or have said that they do not expect and refugees would be sent to them. Kentucky's outgoing Democratic governor has indicated that he will follow the federal government's lead on the issue, though the governor-elect, a Republican, has said that he would not
And you know the Left is in full manipulation mode when they start quoting The Devil Himself, The Great Satan, George W. Bush…

The Democratic president said he had a lot of disagreement with Bush on policy.

‘But I was very proud after 9/11 when he was adamant and clear about the fact that this is not a war on Islam,’ Obama said. ‘And the notion that some of those who’ve taken on leadership in his party would ignore all of that – that’s not who we are.’

The president called on Americans to follow Bush’s example.  (UK guardian)

So you know it’s an Agenda policy item and nothing else.
You are being manipulated.

European parliamentarians were warned of the “real and genuine threat” of the Islamic State putting 500,000 Islamic extremists in April this year. The British politician, Nigel Farage MEP, warned the EU its immigration policy placed a “direct threat to our civilisation”.

Mr Farage told a meeting of the European Parliament in French city of Strasbourg: “There is a real and genuine threat. When Isis say they want to flood our continent with half a million Islamic extremists, they mean it.

“There is nothing in this document that will stop those people from coming. Indeed I fear we face a direct threat to our civilisation if we allow large numbers of people from that war-torn region into Europe.

“It is ironic that nine days before a British General Mr Cameron and Mr Miliband are not engaged in this debate, and in fact the UK can do nothing. We are impotent, we have surrendered our ability to get involved (with stopping the immigrants).”

Despite Farage’s warning the EU continued to push ahead with its plan to force each EU country to take a percentage of the refugees. This left countries unable to secure their borders, and the Schengen Agreement meant most EU countries have dropped their passport controls. Only the UK and Ireland have a permanent exception from Schengen and are therefore allowed to keep passport controls.

Following news the French would treble their military presence against the Islamic State the UK admitted it had foiled seven major attacks recently. Islamic affairs expert, Alan Mendoza, said: “It is essential that Western nations now rethink their military strategy towards Islamic State. We have fought ?a phoney war to date and it has led to real casualties on European soil.

“We now need to redouble our efforts to expunge this scourge from the territory it holds. In Britain’s case, this will mean committing to military action in Syria, or risk becoming an international also-ran in terms of our influence.”

At tonight’s Mansion House speech in the City of London the Prime Minister, David Cameron, once again justified the British approach to dealing with the Jihadis. He said: “The more we learn about what happened in Paris the more it justifies the approach that we are taking in Britain.

“When you are dealing with radicalized European Muslims, linked to ISIL in Syria and inspired by a poisonous narrative of extremism, you need an approach that covers the full spectrum – military power, counter-terrorism expertise and defeating the poisonous narrative that is the root cause of this evil.”

His speech did not make any pledge to protect the UK from mass immigration, despite the public anger about it. However he had already pledged a ‘shoot to kill’ policy for terrorists in Britain, something that was immediately condemned by the leader of the UK Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn.

A petition demanding to shut the UK border to Syrian refugees has now reached 410,000. It is unlikely to be acted upon. (Townhall)

So do you want to be next? Is the risk of being “islamophobic” higher than the risk of MORE terrorists getting into the country?

Hi! I’m with Dishonest!

Well, the Democrats proved just how petty, petulant, and completely untrustworthy they are for the non-ignorant world to see when they released the so-called “torture” report. So called by them, of course.

They proved they cannot be trusted with anything. They will sell you out in a heart beat for political advantage or just petty vindictiveness.

This was a “screw you” move designed to embarrass their devil incarnate, George W Bush, but make them look like Edward Snowden in their heads. They were “exposing” the real truth.

The real truth is, they exposed that they are totally untrustworthy. They are vindictive, petty, petulant and will stab you in the back in a micro-second for any political advantage or petulant “payback”.

The report spends little time condemning torture on moral or legal grounds. Instead, it addresses mainly a practical question: Did torture accomplish anything of value? Looking at case after case, the report answers with an unqualified no. (NYT)

SHOCK AND AWE! The Democrats found that Bush “torture” was ineffective! Never heard that narrative meme before now… 🙂

Former Sen Bob Kerry (D): “I do not need to read the report to know that the Democratic staff alone wrote it. The Republicans checked out early when they determined that their counterparts started out with the premise that the CIA was guilty and then worked to prove it.” (USA Today)

A U.N. human rights expert said a report that the U.S. Senate released on Tuesday revealed a “clear policy orchestrated at a high level within the Bush administration” and called for prosecution of U.S. officials who ordered crimes, including torture, against detainees. (Reuters)

So what do we get? Exactly what the Democrats wanted. Gee, I wonder how that happened. And the UN spouts off yet again. Surprise!

And proves the Democrats will do or say anything to get what they want, when they want it, and because they want it, and if you get in their way they will stab you in the back in a heartbeat. It’s all about them.

On Tuesday morning, the C.I.A. acknowledged problems in the early months of the program but suggested that they had been fixed. “The study as a whole leads the reader to believe that the management shortcomings that marked the initial months persisted throughout the program, which is historically inaccurate,” the agency said. (NYT)

Geez, it’s not like it was an Internet Video that caused it and they tried to cover it up!! 🙂

Gee, It’s not like Obamacare, after all, where NO Republican actually voted for it and we got it anyways. 🙂

Or Jonathan “You’re Stupid” Gruber. 🙂

“As far as I can tell, we are here today to beat up on Jonathan Gruber for stupid — I mean absolutely stupid — comments he made over the last few years,” he began, staring angrily at the hapless professor.

“Let me be clear, I am extremely frustrated with Dr. Gruber’s statements,” Elijah Cummings (D) continued. “They were irresponsible, incredibly disrespectful, and did not reflect reality. And they were, indeed, insulting.”

“I was in Congress when this law was debated, and Dr. Gruber does not speak for me, or the chairman of the other committees who worked tirelessly on this bill,” he said. “We debated this legislation for nearly a year before it was finally passed and signed by the president! Never once did I believe or did anyone suggest that we were somehow hiding our goals from the American people.

Oh, but you were Congressman, that was the point. But at least time your goal was very, very clear….Almost TRANSPARENT! 🙂

“But worst of all,” the ranking member concluded, “Dr. Gruber’s statements gave Republicans a public relations gift in their relentless political campaign to tear down the ACA and eliminate health care for millions of Americans!”

Yes, Congressman, opposing ObamaCare means we want people to have no insurance whatsoever and “just die” just like interrogating captured terrorists didn’t lead to information that saved American lives like getting Bin Laden.

Yes, Congressman, The Democrats have been laid bare for all to see. Those that want to see and but also what the Liberal Media will allow them to see. 🙂

Now’s that “transparency” 🙂

Committee to Reelect the President. President Nixon, that is. 🙂

The White House held an off-the-record briefing with reporters on Friday afternoon to discuss recent revelations about the Benghazi investigation, sources familiar with the meeting tell POLITICO. The meeting began around 12:45 p.m. and postponed the daily, on-the-record White House press briefing to 1:45 p.m. White House press secretary Jay Carney did not respond to a request for confirmation of the meeting. The off-the-record session was announced to reporters in the wake of an ABC News report showing that White House and State Dept. officials were involved in revising the now-discredited CIA talking points about the attack on Benghazi.

Strategy Meeting with The Ministry of Truth? 🙂

Susan Rice’s Benghazi talking points were redacted and revised at least 12 times in advance of public consumption in order to help cover up the administration’s security failures prior to the attack.

They doctored intelligence to protect the political reputations of people who dropped the ball.

The Internal Revenue Service apologized Friday for what it acknowledged was “inappropriate” targeting of conservative political groups during the 2012 election to see if they were violating their tax-exempt status.

IRS agents singled out dozens of organizations for additional reviews because they included the words “tea party” or “patriot” in their exemption applications, said Lois Lerner, who heads the IRS division that oversees tax-exempt groups. In some cases, groups were asked for lists of donors, which violates IRS policy in most cases, she said.

White House Chief Mouthpiece, Jay Carney: “I.R.S. is an independent enforcement agency,” said Carney. “The — which I believe, as I understand it, contains only two political appointees within it. The individual who is running the I.R.S. at the time was actually an appointee from the previous administration.”

IT WAS BUSH’S FAULT!!!!

AMAZING CHUTZPAH!! wouldn’t you say. 🙂

Par for the course and predictable, I’d say.

“I call on the White House to conduct a transparent, government-wide review aimed at assuring the American people that these thuggish practices are not under way at the IRS or elsewhere in the administration against anyone, regardless of their political views,” said Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.

White House spokesman Jay Carney declared it was indeed inappropriate for the IRS to target tea party groups. But he brushed aside questions about whether the White House itself would investigate.

Instead, Carney said the administration expects a thorough investigation by the Treasury Department’s inspector general for tax administration. The inspector general has been looking into the issue since last summer, and his report is expected to come out next week, the IG’s office said Friday.

Carney said he did not know when the White House first learned that tea party groups were being targeted.

Lerner acknowledged it was wrong for the agency to target groups based on political affiliation.

“That was absolutely incorrect, it was insensitive and it was inappropriate. That’s not how we go about selecting cases for further review,” Lerner said at a conference sponsored by the American Bar Association.

“The IRS would like to apologize for that,” she added.

C.R.E.E.P.y….. 🙂

“The admission by the Obama administration that the Internal Revenue Service targeted political opponents echoes some of the most shameful abuses of government power in 20th century American history,” said House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio.

Many conservative groups complained during the campaign that they were being harassed by the IRS. They accused the agency of frustrating their attempts to become tax exempt by sending them lengthy, intrusive questionnaires.

House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp, R-Mich., said Friday he will hold a hearing on the matter has not yet set a date.

“The IRS absolutely must be non-partisan in its enforcement of our tax laws,” Camp said. “We will hold the IRS accountable for its actions.”

“It’s the line people that did it without talking to managers,” Lerner told The AP. “They’re IRS workers, they’re revenue agents.”

Meaning their manager were asleep at the switch, or tacitly implicit right? 🙂

“It is suspicious that the activity of these ‘low-level workers’ was unknown to IRS leadership at the time it occurred,” said Jenny Beth Martin, national coordinator for Tea Party Patriots, which describes itself as the nation’s largest tea party organization. “President Obama must also apologize for his administration ignoring repeated complaints by these broad grass-roots organizations of harassment by the IRS in 2012, and make concrete and transparent steps today to ensure this never happens again.”

Bwah hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Never happen. After all, it was George Bush’s Fault! :0

Here are some of the things they wanted to know about those groups.

1. We’re gonna need all your direct and indirect communication. “‘Direct and indirect communications’ is profoundly chilling of First Amendment rights, ” said David French, senior counsel for American Center for Law & Justice, which has been representing 27 conservative organizations met with IRS inquisitions. “It’s so vague as to be impossible to comply with.”

The Actual Report Card

During President Barack Obama’s first term, the number of Americans collecting federal disability insurance increased by 1,385,418 to a record 8,827,795.

As a result, there is now one person collecting disability in this county for every 13 people working full-time (and that of course is also flat as the unemployment rate in Jan 2009 and the unemployment rate now are the same- The u6 for underemployment is actually higher than in Jan 2009). Forty-two years ago, in December 1968, there were 51 people working full-time in this country for each person collecting disability.

But don’t worry, that was GW Bush’s Fault! like everything else that’s bad about our newly Re-coronated King.

The number of Americans age 16 or older who decided not to work or even to seek a job increased by 8,332,000 to a record 88,839,000 in President Barack Obama’s first term, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

At the same time, the number of retired workers collecting Social Security increased by only 4,234,480.

The increase in Americans opting out of the labor force during Obama’s first term resulted in a decrease in the labor force participation rate from 65.7 percent in January 2009, the month Obama was first inaugurated, to 63.6 percent in December 2012, the latest month reported. Before Obama took office, the labor force participation rate had not been as low as 63.6 percent since 1981, the year President Ronald Reagan took over from President Jimmy Carter.

To be in the labor force a person must either have a job or actively sought one in the previous four weeks.

So I guess those millions of jobs “saved or created” wasn’t that fantastic after all… 🙂

In the comparable period of George W. Bush’s second term, the number of Americans choosing not to participate in the labor force went from 76,808,000 in January 2005 to 80,380,000 in December 2012—an increase of 3,572,000.

But Bush is the spawn of the Devil himself and he caused all of this so this must be a lie told by right wing extremists! Because everyone who is “intelligent” knows that everything in the world went to hell after he was elected. 🙂

President Barack Obama averaged a 49.1 percent job approval during his first term in office, among the lowest for post-World War II presidents, according to a new Gallup poll.

Only Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford had lower job approval averages in their first terms, Gallup reported. (CNS)

Now that’s good company! 🙂

So 49% approved and 50% voted for him.  And it had been Lower than Carter’s (aka the lowest on record since WWII) in 2011.

Wow! that’s tight. No wonder he ran the dirtiest, nastiest, ugliest smear campaign in probably 150 years.

It was vote for me The Unpopular or Vote for my Opponent — The Evil Rich White Asshole!

And the stupid people fell for it!

When the Bush tax cuts and War on Terror went into effect, the debt as a dollar amount rose, but as a percentage of GDP it remained fairly stable.   It was only when the financial crisis hit that the debt exploded.  So, it’s not mathematically possible that policies that were put into place nearly seven years prior to the debt exploding, could be responsible for its rise.

The left is simply cherry-picking the policies–expenditures in their minds– that it likes the LEAST, from the time prior to Obama taking office and using them to deflect the blame away from things like the stimulus, the growth of welfare spending and the failure of liberal economic policies to stimulate economic growth.

Think about it this way.  The amount of money taken out of the general fund each year to pay for Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security is more than the cost of any one year of the Bush Tax cuts or the was in Iraq and Afghanistan when they were at their peak.

By the left’s standards, you could pin just as much blame for the debt increase on the presidents who passed those entitlement programs.  But, you don’t hear President Obama pinning the blame on LBJ or FDR for the $5 Trillion in new debt that we’ve accumulated since he took office. (CNS)

So in closing, a Little Comedy:

And this is funny:

They are having  a 3/5 sale! 🙂

Now if that doesn’t offend the hyper-sensitive Left I don’t know what will.

I know, George W, Bush!  That always works! 🙂

1307 Days

Senate Democratic leaders do not plan to propose a budget this year, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid told reporters Friday, saying that they had already done so with the debt-ceiling agreement.

“We do not need to bring a budget to the floor this year — it’s done, we don’t need to do it,” Reid said, according to The Hill.

The US Senate has dismissed it’s Constitutional Duty for 1,013 days now.

So by Election day it will 1,307 Days without a budget.

Why?

So the Democrats don’t have to make the hard choices and reveal their socialist spendthrift ways, of course. They don’t have to reveal their super-secret pinkie-swear plans for complete control of everyone and everything Congress and thus put their allies in the Ministry of Truth in a tough spot (much easier for everyone to just ignore it) and they can’t be seen as “doing something” in the “do Nothing” Congress Democrat meme.

“It’s been more than 1,000 days since Senate Democrats have offered a budget plan to the American people. Now, once again, the Senate’s ineffectual Democrat majority balks at the task of leadership,” said Sessions in a statement.

Leadership by blaming the guy for everything!

“He obviously continues in his belief that it would be politically foolish for his members to go on record in support of any long-term vision. But by refusing to lay out a budget plan for public examination—a fact no one can deny—the Democrat Senate has forfeited the high privilege to lead this chamber,” he went on.

“Budget Control Act spending caps, crafted behind closed doors and rushed to passage at the 11th hour under threat of panic, do not even approach the definition of the budget process that the law requires. They are not in any way or any sense a Senate Democrat budget plan. There is no argument that can be made that these caps are a long-term vision for this country—not on taxes, not on entitlements, not on spending, not on debt,” he said. “Presumably, this obvious fact is why Chairman Conrad has said he will mark up a budget in our Committee.”

“[T]his process will be eviscerated if Sen. Reid refuses to allow a budget resolution to come to the floor,” said Sessions.

But remember, according to The Democrats and their allies in the Ministry of Truth (The Liberal Media) it’s the Republicans who are “obstructionists”!!!!

And in those 11th hour panics the Republicans cave into the Democrats wants and desires, so why would they want to change something that is working FOR THEM?

Never let a Crisis go to waste and if you can continually create them to off-put those evil “right wingers” so much the better.

Budget, we Don’t need no stinkin’ Budget!

The American People are getting screwed, but at the Democrats are happy.

And That’s all that matters. Don’t Worry, Be Happy!

On this, Yes They Can Wait!

SUPREME COURT JUSTICE RUTH BADER GINSBURG

(on Egyptian TV)

I can’t speak about what the Egyptian experience should be, because I’m operating under a rather old constitution. The United States, in comparison to Egypt, is a very new nation, and yet we have the oldest written constitution still in force in the world.
You should certainly be aided by all the constitution-writing that has gone one since the end of World War II. I would not look to the US constitution, if I were drafting a constitution in the year 2012. I might look at the constitution of South Africa. That was a deliberate attempt to have a fundamental instrument of government that embraced basic human rights, had an independent judiciary… It really is, I think, a great piece of work that was done. Much more recent than the US constitution – Canada has a Charter of Rights and Freedoms. It dates from 1982. You would almost certainly look at the European Convention on Human Rights. Yes, why not take advantage of what there is elsewhere in the world?

And she sworn into office to uphold THE US Constitution and interpret THE US Constitution based on only the US Constitution.
But like most Liberals, she knows better and there are laws and Constitutions that are better because ours is dusty and old and out of date so it should be  a guide but it’s not worth taking very seriously because it’s just too old and out of step with Liberal Progressive Thought.

She doesn’t want to do the job she was sworn to do, because she knows better. Other countries know better. We are behind the times.
The Constitution is not a sacred document, it’s dusty old piece of paper that is in the way of what THEY WANT to do and what THEY Think is right.
That is more important.

It’s all about RIGHTS. Right to a House and a Right to Health Care, The right of the Government being the grantor of everything and you being grateful to them for it,and more.

“Why not take advantage of what there is elsewhere in the world,” Ginsburg said. “I’m a very strong believer of listening and learning from others.”

But there was one nugget of truth in here appearance:
“If the people don’t care, then the best constitution in the world won’t make any difference. The spirit of liberty has to be in the population.”
And with that…

General Obama!

President Barack Obama is urging Americans citizens to act like soldiers on a a domestic economic battlefield, presumably under his generalship.

But he’s not a Banana Republic Dictator-wanna be!!

Soldiers “work as a team [and] personify the very best that America has to offer,” Obama declared during a Feb. 3 press event at a Virginia firehouse. “That’s true on the battlefront. … It’s also true on the home front,” said Obama, who used the event to highlight new federal job-creation programs for veterans.

But you’re Anti-War Mr. president and so is your base.

The Military also has a separate Code of Justice that doesn’t require the same guarantees as Civilians.

Come to think of it, that is Obama Already!

Can we go AWOL now, please!

Obama’s comparison of civilians to soldiers is a mistake, said David Boaz, the executive vice president of the Cato Institute.

“The military is a team, a football team is a team, a company can work a team… but 310 million people don’t have a single purpose,” he told The Daily Caller.

“We have many different purposes and goals,” he said.

But like General Kim Jon Il, we should all be one and adore our Leader unto death!

Ours, not his.

For example, “I want a job and you want to the same job, I want to sell more pizza in Nashville and so do you… that’s competition, and that’s a completely different kind of of society that one with a single purpose,” he said.

Obama used similar military language in his Jan. 24 State of the Union speech.

“At a time when too many of our institutions have let us down, [soldiers] exceed all expectations… they don’t obsess over their differences. They focus on the mission at hand. They work together,” he declared.

“This nation is great because we worked as a team… because we get each other’s backs,” he said. “If we hold fast to that truth, in this moment of trial, there is no challenge too great; no mission too hard.”

Would it too much fun to frag, the General, Sir?

This martial pitch matches his repeated calls for Americans to agree with his progressive policies, which emphasize top-down expert guidance of the economy, including the financial, medical, auto-manufacturing, energy, educational, transport and social elements in American society.

Obama downplays teamwork, however, when the teams are not part of his political coalition, or do not want to be led by a federal government.

On Jan 20., for example, his administration announced that religious employees at church-run schools, hospitals and universities would not be regarded as part of churches’ teams, which are exempt from some health sector regulations. Instead, Obama directed they be separated and treated as routine commercial employees, subject to routine federal health-sector regulations.

Similarly, progressives have objected strongly to other groups of American acting in coordination, including the tea party movement, gun-rights supporters, pro-life groups, social conservative movements and advocates for property rights.

The   bourgeoisie Vs The proletariat which one are you?

You’re either on my team or your dirt under my fingernails. Which one are you?

Sounding very Jeffersonian isn’t he!    NOT!

Karl Marx, Saul Alinsky anyone?

Tevi Troy, a former deputy secretary at the Department of Health and Human Services in President George W. Bush’s administration. In general, “everybody loves ‘teamwork,’ it’s a great concept,” he said.

But Bush wouldn’t have used such military language when advocated domestic goals because it is “mindless,” he said, “America is not a great country because of this notion of teamwork… were our best inventions made by groups of people or by individuals competing to get their inventions out first?”

More important the teamwork, he said are “ingenuity, freedom, bringing the smartest people to our shores and pluck.” (DC)

To paraphrase Lou Grant’s famous line in the Pilot to Mary Tyler Moore, “I Hate Spunk!” Obama’s would be “I hate pluck!”

We do all together as one and I get all the credit of F*uck you all to hell!!

296 days until election day.

Don’t waste them.

If we all work as a team we can get rid of General Obama.

It’s bedtime for Bozo!

Now if we could just get the gutless Republicans to stand up to the Sith Lord.

“I am not a crook” — Richard Nixon.

“I did not have sex with that woman, Monica Lewinsky” — Bill Clinton

“it’s Complicated”– AG Eric Holder about lying to Congress.

“There’s no attempt at any kind of cover-up,” Holder told lawmakers well into a hearing about whether he had been forthright in responding to requests of the House Oversight and Government Relations Committee led by Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif.

“We’re not going to be hiding behind any kind of privileges or anything,” he said.

I know I believe him…:(   NOT!
“That was among the worst things I’ve ever seen in Congress” Holder scolded. “There’s a whole bunch of things that I could say about what you just did, maybe this is the way you do things in Idaho or wherever you’re from, but understand something — I‘m proud of the work that I’ve done as attorney general of the United States, and looked at fairly, I think that I’ve done a pretty good job.”
Sound like Obama giving himself a B+, anyone?
“And what you have just done is if nothing else, disrespectful. And if you don‘t like me that’s one thing. You should respect the fact that I hold an office that is deserving of respect.”“And you know, maybe you’re new to this committee, I don’t know, I don‘t know how long you’ve been here,” Holder continued. “But my hope would be that we can get beyond that kind of interaction, that kind of treatment of a witness whether it’s me or somebody else because I think what you just did was fundamentally unfair, just not right,”
My, me thinks he doth protest (childishly) too much!  So will he hold his breath and turn blue until people stop picking me on him! 🙂
“Not only did I not authorize those tactics, when I found out about them I told the field and everybody in the United States Department of Justice that those tactics had to stop. That they were not acceptable and that gunwalking was to stop. That was what my reaction [was] to my finding out about the use of that technique,” he added.

Mind you no one found out about it until Agent Brian Terry was Dead! Then the fecal matter hit the air circulation device and the fan blades of doublespeak have been working overtime ever since.
Then comes the usual response from a politician caught with his privates in a bear trap…(but especially a Liberal one)
Diminish, Distract, Delay and say “oh, it’s nothing”
He added that he doesn’t think that the situation warranted the kind of response Republicans were giving after his department provided thousands of documents, and planned to deliver more.

“What he did with the intern and the kind of activity they engaged in…he told everybody, ‘look, what we did, that’s not sex,’.
No big Deal.
Now, run up a fake “covert agent”‘s cover being blown (when they were in Virginia) into a Crisis of epic proportions when it was totally bogus AND totally political that’s a real “scandal”!!!. 😦  (Deliberately walking assault rifles and guns into a foreign country and knowingly selling them to violent sociopaths is not apparently)
Because that was George W Bush, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld. The 3 horseman of the Apocalypse to the Liberal Media!!
The Liberal Media has tried to stay away from this story as much as possible.
But so far no one, not even a ‘Scotter’ Libby has been arrested, convicted or even charged in Fast & Furious.
One resigned (so naturally it’s all HIS fault!). The others got ‘lateral’ promotions to Departments deep in the bowels of the Federal Castle so they can’t talk.
Keep your Friends Close and your Enemies (or potential squealers) Closer!
“I don’t think the American people have lost trust in me. … This has become political, I get that,” he said.

The Black Panther Case, Arizona, Alabama, South Carolina, Illegal Immigration, Voter ID Registration, etc.
Yeah, Eric, everyone loves you, except evil partisan Republicans.
You are immune from political forces.
<<barf bag on standby>>

“I didn’t know about Operation Fast and Furious until the beginning parts of 2011 after I received that letter from Senator Grassley, I guess at the end of January and then that was about Operation Gun Runner. I actually learned about the Fast and Furious operation in February of that year.”

Gun Runner was Fast & Furious effectively But done by the Evil Bush (and the Mexicans were in on it and when it went pear shape they shut it down- not cover it up!!), but don’t tell him that, he’s too busy weaseling and blaming someone else!

A “few weeks”,a “few months”, “beginning of the year” “February” what will it be next time I wonder??

Especially when the emails in the document dump last week clearly show he was told the night that Terry died and why. But don’t let the truth get in the way of a political weasel job– it never does.

Holder told the committee, “I’m not sure exactly how I found out about the term, ‘Fast and Furious.'” He testified repeatedly that he never authorized the controversial tactics employed in the operation.

This the Orwellian Liberal word game. The “term” “Fast and Furious”. If someone told him about it but didn’t use that exact “term” then that doesn’t count. 🙂

It’s all about what the definition of “is” is…. 🙂

“There is no attempt at any kind of cover-up,” Holder said. “We have shared huge amounts of information” and will continue to do so, he said.

But the Committee’s count 8% of the requested info and 2 Friday Night Info Dumps later that’s “huge”. 🙂

Sen. Burton went on to say that 93,000 documents related to the operation are being withheld by the Justice Department even though they’ve been turned over internally to the department’s inspector general, a political appointee, Burton said.

“And you’re saying, well, the separation of powers prohibits you from (delivering them to Congress). That’s baloney. That is just baloney,” Burton said.

Dismiss, Delay…

Holder said earlier during testimony that he would release additional materials “to the extent that I can.”

Weasel!

The mother of murdered Border Patrol agent Brian Terry had harsh words for Attorney General Eric Holder after Thursday’s House oversight committee hearing on Operation Fast and Furious.

“THIS IS FOR YOU SON,” Mrs. Terry posted on Facebook at about 3:30 p.m. “Mr. Holder. How come you can never say my sons name. You never have. All i ever hear you say is ‘i didnt find out or I cant say’ Im actually tired of hearing your double talk in answering questions. What a joke you are. You know my son was a real AMERICAN, a WARRIOR, and a HERO, who was also protecting COWARD POLITICANS like you.”

“Hope you remember that,” Mrs. Terry added in her message to Holder before signing it: “PROUD MOM OF BRIAN A. TERRY.”

Dismiss,Diminish,Distract,Delay,Deflect…Democrat.

I Have Some Questions

Political Cartoons by Gary Varvel

When someone on the nightly talk shows asked if Obama and Co had a plan on Libya my reaction was “No”.

They dithered and hemmed-and-hawed for a month, then when someone pointed out their was a slaughter going on and a cried for a humanitarian no-fly zone  and when they had the UN to behind behind then Obama and Co did the liberal thing, they jumped in to save the universe from itself not having a f*cking clue what the hell they are doing!

But it FELT GOOD!

And it was “multi-lateral”. It wasn’t “cowboy diplomacy”. It was politically safe.

So they thought. If they were actually thinking about it rather than letting their Liberal Knee Jerk hit them in the head again that is.

We are saving civilians and the rebels from Moammar!

Obama, mar 11, 2011: “I believe that Gadhafi’s on the wrong side of history. I believe that the Libyan people are anxious for freedom and the removal of somebody who has suppressed them for decades now,” the president said. “We are going to be in contact with the opposition as well as in consultation with the international community to try to achieve the goal of Mr. Gadhafi being removed from power.”

Now: The White House is shifting toward the more aggressive goal in Libya of ousting President Moammar Gadhafi and “installing a democratic system,” actions that fall outside the United Nations Security Council resolution under which an international coalition is now acting…(Washington Examiner)

But we aren’t trying to “get” him!

Though how you protect the people from him without “getting” him is a question no Liberal wants to answer. And this whole “install a democratic system” is not “nation building”, after all, and how do you do this without “getting” the dictator? Or know who the “rebels” are to being with??

Do they have a f*cking clue??

Good Intentions (like ObamaCare, Global Warming, The EPA, Salt, fat, food, et al) have to account for something.

So when are going to invade Zimbabwe? Bahrain?Iran?Somalia (again)?Yemen??

The Road to Hell is paved with Liberals.

“Do you think this was the right thing to do?” ABC’s Christian Amanpour asked Will.

“I do not,” Will said. “We have intervened in a tribal society in a civil war. And we’ve taken sides in that civil war on behalf of people we do not know or understand for the purpose of creating a political vacuum by decapitating that government. Into that vacuum, what will flow? We do not know. We cannot know.”

“There is no limiting principle in what we’ve done,” Will countered. “If we are to protect people under assault, then where people are under assault in Bahrain, we’re logically committed to help them. We’re inciting them to rise up in expectation.”

“The mission creep here began, Paul, before the mission began,” he told Wolfowitz. “Because we had a means not suited to the end. The means is a no-fly zone. That will not affect the end, which is obviously regime change.”

And do we even know who the hell we are backing??

No.

Liberals love to site, snidely, the “enemy of my enemy” strategy in the 1980’s and 1990 in places like Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan.

Aren’t we doing it again?

Liberals don’t care.

It “feels good” and you get snide remarks like “well, would you have them get slaughtered then??!!”.

That’s the “when did you stop beating you wife” logic fallacy.

But because it’s liberals saying it, it’s ok.:)  At least they think so.

They are so vastly superior, after all.

It’s not like they are George W. Bush!!  The Great Satan!

If A Republican, let alone GWB had done this without consultation of Congress the Impeach Bush crowd would have gone into Orbit.

But this our “first black president”, The Messiah, the Liberal Democrat, so cut him so slack jack. 😦

And the Mainstream Media is doing yoga bends to accommodate it.

But there are still questions: What is the precise goal of the mission? How long will it take and how much will it cost? What are the vital U.S. national security interests? What is the Exit Strategy?

Curiously, these are the questions the Democrats and the Mainstream Media beat Bush over the head with for 5 years.

Bet they will back contorting for the President within days.

The missile strikes that inaugurated America’s latest attempt at regime change were launched 29 days before the 50th anniversary of another such — the Bay of Pigs of April 17, 1961. Then the hubris of American planners was proportional to their ignorance of everything relevant, from Cuban sentiment to Cuba’s geography. The fiasco was a singularly feckless investment of American power.

Does practice make perfect? In today’s episode, America has intervened in a civil war in a tribal society, the dynamics of which America does not understand. And America is supporting one faction, the nature of which it does not know. “We are standing with the people of Libya,” says Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, evidently confident that “the” people are a harmonious unit. Many in the media call Moammar Gadhafi’s opponents “freedom fighters,” and perhaps they are, but no one calling them that really knows how the insurgents regard one another, or understand freedom, or if freedom, however understood, is their priority.

But, then, knowing is rarely required in the regime-change business. The Weekly Standard, a magazine for regime-change enthusiasts, serenely says: “The Libyan state is a one-man operation. Eliminate that man and the whole edifice may come tumbling down.” And then good things must sprout? The late Donald Westlake gave one of his comic novels the mordant title “What’s the Worst That Could Happen?” People who do not find that darkly funny should not make foreign policy.

In Libya, mission creep began before the mission did. A no-fly zone would not accomplish what Barack Obama calls “a well-defined goal,” the “protection of civilians.” So the no-fly zone immediately became protection for aircraft conducting combat operations against Gadhafi’s ground forces.

America’s war aim is inseparable from — indeed, obviously is — destruction of that regime. So our purpose is to create a political vacuum, into which we hope — this is the “audacity of hope” as foreign policy — good things will spontaneously flow. But if Gadhafi cannot be beaten by the rebels, are we prepared to supply their military deficiencies? And if the decapitation of his regime produces what the removal of Saddam Hussein did — bloody chaos — what then are our responsibilities regarding the tribal vendettas we may have unleashed? How long are we prepared to police the partitioning of Libya?

Explaining his decision to wage war, Obama said Gadhafi has “lost the confidence of his own people and the legitimacy to lead.” Such meretricious boilerplate seems designed to anesthetize thought. When did Gadhafi lose his people’s confidence? When did he have legitimacy? American doctrine — check the Declaration of Independence — is that governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed. So there are always many illegitimate governments. When is it America’s duty to scrub away these blemishes on the planet? Is there a limiting principle of humanitarian interventionism? If so, would Obama take a stab at stating it?

Congress’ power to declare war resembles a muscle that has atrophied from long abstention from proper exercise. This power was last exercised on June 5, 1942 (against Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary), almost 69 years, and many wars, ago. It thus may seem quaint, and certainly is quixotic, for Indiana’s Richard Lugar — ranking Republican on, and former chairman of, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee — to say, correctly, that Congress should debate and vote on this.

There are those who think that if the United Nations gives the United States permission to wage war, the Constitution becomes irrelevant. Let us find out who in Congress supports this proposition, which should be resoundingly refuted, particularly by Republicans currently insisting that government, and especially the executive, should be on a short constitutional leash. If all Republican presidential aspirants are supine in the face of unfettered presidential war-making and humanitarian interventionism, the Republican field is radically insufficient.

On Dec. 29, 1962, in Miami’s Orange Bowl, President John F. Kennedy, who ordered the Bay of Pigs invasion, addressed a rally of survivors and supporters of that exercise in regime change. Presented with the invasion brigade’s flag, Kennedy vowed, “I can assure you that this flag will be returned to this brigade in a free Havana.” Eleven months later, on Nov. 2, 1963, his administration was complicit in another attempt at violent regime change — the coup against, and murder of, South Vietnam’s President Ngo Dinh Diem. The Saigon regime was indeed changed, so perhaps this episode counts as a success, even if Saigon is now Ho Chi Minh City.

CBS News: The leader of al-Qaida’s North Africa branch has urged Libyan rebels not to trust America and the U.S. role in the international coalition bombing Moammar Gadhafi’s forces.

Abdelmalek Droukdel of Al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb claims the same America now attacking Gadhafi turned a “blind eye” in the past on his crimes against Libyans.

Droukdel, also known as Abu Musab Abdul-Wadud, says America got Gadhafi to give up weapons of mass destruction and Libyan oil so he could stay in power. The statement was posted Monday on a militant website.

It says “winds of liberation have started blowing in Libya” and urges Tunisians, Egyptians and Algerians to help their Libyan brethren fight Gadhafi.

Al-Qaida has lobbied for Gadhafi’s overthrown and the establishment of Islamic rule in Libya.

So who is it that we are protecting? And what guarantee that this is not the Muslim Brotherhood or some other radical Islamic bunch that we are supporting??

And why do Liberals hate being asked questions like that? 🙂

But watching Liberals trying to defend this as a war that isn’t a war, a regime change that isn’t a regime change, to save the people from Moammar without “getting” Moammar and the pretzel logic twists in the wind is fabulously funny.

But ultimately, it’s very sad.

But that’s what happens when Liberals are in charge, you get the new leader of the Free World, Nicolas Sarkozy– THE FRENCH!!!

Are you kidding me!?

Can we just surrender now… 🙂
