Never Leave your Lover

Syrian refugees pose no more of a threat than tourists wanting to visit the Lincoln Memorial or go to the top of the Empire State Building, claims President Obama. Speaking to reporters with his usual impatience, Obama said Republicans are ginning up unsubstantiated fear when it comes to our new neighbors.

Speaking to reporters at a summit in the Philippines, Mr. Obama said the “overwhelming numbers” of Syrians who are applying for entry to the U.S. “are children, women, families — themselves victims of terrorism.” He said they are already subject to rigorous vetting by U.S. security officials.

(which isn’t strictly true, but since when did this guy care about facts!)

“The idea that somehow they pose a more significant threat than all the tourists who pour into the United States every single day just doesn’t jive with reality,” Mr. Obama said. “So my expectation is after the initial spasm of rhetoric, the people will settle down, take a look at the facts, and we’ll be able to proceed.”

Facts? Obama. Sorry Not compatible.

In other words, the president thinks refugees are simply coming here to sightsee. Recent incidents prove otherwise. Americans’ fear that some of the immigrants are secret terrorists was somewhat confirmed now that more than one terror suspect in last weekend’s attack in Paris reportedly entered Europe by posing as a Syrian refugee.

Tourist Visas is one of the biggest reasons for Illegal Aliens also, by the way.

Thankfully, our leaders aren’t so naïve.

But they are “racists” and “islamophobic”. 🙂

A total of 34 states are now rejecting the White House’s refugee plan, which aims to bring in 100,000 refugees by 2017, choosing to place their citizens’ safety first.

As the influx of refugees into Europe continues, the continent can expect more than a rise in tourism revenue. For leaders like Viktor Orban, the president of Hungary, he predicts a much more dangerous outcome.

“For us today, what is at stake is Europe, the lifestyle of European citizens, European values, the survival or disappearance of European nations, and more precisely formulated, their transformation beyond recognition.

“Today, the question is not merely in what kind of a Europe we would like to live, but whether everything we understand as Europe will exist at all.”

Tourists come to visit, take in the sights, then return home with their pictures and souvenirs. Refugees, on the other hand, are here to stay. People like Gov. Mike Huckabee worry about the influx, considering the refugees don’t understand our language or our culture. He suggested offering them safe havens, just not in the United States.

Meanwhile, Congress has introduced legislation that would halt the refugee program until a better vetting process can be established.

Obama has threatened to veto it.

Of course he will. The Narrative is The Narrative and you aren’t allowed to disagree with it.

The Sowell Facts

Some of us, who are old enough to remember the old television police series “Dragnet,” may remember Sgt. Joe Friday saying, “Just the facts, ma’am.” But that would be completely out of place today. Facts are becoming obsolete, as recent events have demonstrated.

Facts, we don’t need no stinking facts!

Confirmation bias (also called confirmatory bias or myside bias) is a tendency for people to favor information that confirms their preconceptions or hypotheses regardless of whether the information is true.

What matters today is how well you can concoct a story that fits people’s preconceptions and arouses their emotions. Politicians like New York mayor Bill de Blasio, professional demagogues like Al Sharpton and innumerable irresponsible people in the media have shown that they have great talent in promoting a lynch mob atmosphere toward the police.

Grand juries that examine hard facts live in a different world from mobs who listen to rhetoric and politicians who cater to the mobs.

During the controversy over the death of Trayvon Martin, for example, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus said that George Zimmerman had tracked Trayvon Martin down and shot him like a dog. The fact is that Zimmerman did not have to track down Trayvon Martin, who was sitting right on top of him, punching him till his face was bloody.

And he’s the world’s first and only “White Hispanic”. 🙂

After the death of Michael Brown, members of the Congressional Black Caucus stood up in Congress, with their hands held up, saying “don’t shoot.” Although there were some who claimed that this is what Michael Brown said and did, there were other witnesses — all black, by the way — who said that Brown was charging toward the policeman when he was shot.

What was decisive was not what either set of witnesses said, but what the autopsy revealed, an autopsy involving three sets of forensic experts, including one representing Michael Brown’s family. Witnesses can lie but the physical facts don’t lie, even if politicians, mobs and the media prefer to take lies seriously.

An agenda is more important than facts. Confirming peoples biases for your own Agenda is also more important than facts.

The death of Eric Garner has likewise spawned stories having little relationship to facts. The story is that Garner died because a chokehold stopped his breathing. But Garner did not die with a policeman choking him.

He died later, in an ambulance where his heart stopped. He had a long medical history of various diseases, as well as a long criminal history. No doubt the stress of his capture did not do him any good, and he might well still be alive if he had not resisted arrest. But that was his choice.

Despite people who say blithely that the police need more “training,” there is no “kinder and gentler” way to capture a 350-pound man, who is capable of inflicting grievous harm, and perhaps even death, on any of his would-be captors. The magic word “unarmed” means nothing in practice, however much the word may hype emotions.

If you had no idea who he was, or only had a split second to decide, would you consider Chuck Norris “unarmed”?

For illustration:The FBI report, Law Enforcement Officers Killed & Assaulted 2011 ,indicated that 11 officers lost their lives during traffic stops; 15 officers died in ambush situations, some involving vehicles.

That cop may have had a family too, you know. But those are just facts.

If you are killed by an unarmed man, you are just as dead as if you had been annihilated by a nuclear bomb. But you don’t even know who is armed or unarmed until after it is all over, and you can search him.

Incidentally, did you know that, during this same period when riots, looting and arson have been raging, a black policeman in Alabama shot and killed an unarmed white teenager — and was cleared by a grand jury? Probably not, if you depend on the mainstream media for your news.

see: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/nov/27/white-teen-gilbert-collar-killed-by-black-cop-trev/?page=all

The media do not merely ignore facts, they suppress facts. Millions of people saw the videotape of the beating of Rodney King. But they saw only a fraction of that tape because the media left out the rest, which showed Rodney King — another huge man — resisting arrest and refusing to be handcuffed, so that he could be searched.

Television viewers did not get to see the other black men in the same vehicle that Rodney King was driving recklessly. Those other black men were not beaten. And the grand jury got to see the whole video, after which they acquitted the police — and the media then published the jurors’ home addresses.

Such media retribution against people they don’t like is part of a growing lynch mob mentality. The black witnesses in Missouri, whose testimony confirmed what the police officer said, expressed fears for their own safety for telling what the physical evidence showed was the truth.

Is this what we want? Grand juries responding to mobs and the media, instead of to the facts?

Some Liberals want cop-involved incidents sent straight to a District Attorney for prosecution rather than going to a grand jury. Wonder why? 🙂

Walter Williams:

White liberals in the media and academia, along with many blacks, have been major supporters of the recent marches protesting police conduct. A man from Mars, knowing nothing about homicide facts, would conclude that the major problem black Americans have with murder and brutality results from the behavior of racist policemen. According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, there are about 200 police arrest-related deaths of blacks each year (between 300 and 400 for whites). That number pales in comparison with the roughly 7,000 annual murders of blacks, 94 percent of which are committed by blacks. The number of blacks being murdered by other blacks is of little concern to liberals. Their agenda is to use arrest-related deaths of blacks to undermine established authority.

Liberals often have demeaning attitudes toward blacks. When Secretary of State John Kerry was a U.S. senator, in a statement about so many blacks being in prison, he said, “That’s unacceptable, but it’s not their fault.” Would Kerry also say that white prison inmates are also faultless? Johns Hopkins University sociologist Andrew Cherlin told us: “It has yet to be shown that the absence of a father was directly responsible for any of the supposed deficiencies of broken homes. … (The problem) is not the lack of male presence but the lack of male income.” The liberal vision is that fathers and husbands can be replaced by a welfare check.

Liberals desperately need blacks. If the Democratic Party lost just 30 percent of the black vote, it would mean the end of the liberal agenda. That means blacks must be kept in a perpetual state of grievance in order to keep them as a one-party people in a two-party system. When black Americans finally realize how much liberals have used them, I’m betting they will be the nation’s most conservative people. Who else has been harmed as much by liberalism’s vision and agenda?

But there is no more blind than those who refuse to see.

The Coronation Part 2: Be a BEPPER Too!

In honor of the Coronation of  His Most Narcissistic Majesty, King Obama I:

(from the old Dr Pepper Jingle)

“I’m a BEPper he’s a BEPper
She’s a BEPper we’re a BEPper
Wouldn’t you like to be a BEPper too?
Be a BEPper Drink The Kool-Aid Too.”

BEPper = Bush Excuse Psychosis. Definition: A mindless drone who believes everything that is wrong is due to George W. Bush (and by extension any non-liberal like Republicans and Tea Party Members). The universe is black and white. They are Black (because being white is politically incorrect and fits their backward thought processes)  and they and only they are the Great Black Hope of America and only they are upright, moral, fair, compassionate and perfect.

Everyone who isn’t them are evil, greedy, narcissistic (project much do they? :)) morons who are beneath their contempt and certainly not due any respect whatsoever.

My way or the highway.

Psychosis (from the Ancient Greek ψυχή “psyche”, for mind/soul, and -ωσις “-osis”, for abnormal condition or derangement) refers to an abnormal condition of the mind, and is a generic psychiatric term for a mental state often described as involving a “loss of contact with reality”. People suffering from psychosis are described as psychotic. Psychosis is given to the more severe forms of psychiatric disorder, during which hallucinations and delusions and impaired insight may occur.

People experiencing psychosis may exhibit personality changes and thought disorder. Depending on its severity, this may be accompanied by unusual or bizarre behavior, as well as difficulty with social interaction and impairment in carrying out daily life activities.

Sound like the Left to you? 🙂

To use a Star Trek analogy, You have to be of the Body, or else you are foreign disease which must be “corrected”.

Also see my blog at Drone Warfare

So the national Debt: $16,453,521,000,000

And the attendant $5 Billion dollars a day in borrowing and the $1.4 Trillion in debt payments (think credit card minimum payments) are the exclusive fault of (in order) George W Bush, “Congress” (aka Republicans), and Ronald Reagan.

Any mention of a Democrat of any kind having anything to do with this is automatically disqualified from having any mental capacity for  “intelligence” and is totally devoid of “the facts” and as such will be treated generally to a shotgun blast of hate-filled ad hominems because they are obviously, without question, a moron and in need of reminding of this fact of nature and their place in it for believing such trash.

And if the subject of Spending comes up you’ll general get 1 of 2 responses that will likely contain other tangents and insults in the response.

1) Bush’s Illegal Wars caused the crash. And we are still paying for them even now, so it’s his fault. End of discussion.

One of the more curious corollaries to this one is: Medicare Part D . It was an unfunded Mandate passed during Bush’s turn that the Democrats were all for. But because it involves spending some of the more psychotic will use this as derisive thing but when you come back with, “well, why don’t you get rid of it then?” they immediately switch to another line of attack because their mindlessly programmed drone attack can’t handle counter attacks, especially from “stupid” people who don’t understand “the facts” and of course it’s Bush’s fault!

2) Well, Reagan Doubled the Debt and Bush Tripled it is the battle cry or something very similar.

Reality: Debt (fiscal year ending)

09/30/1980  907,701,000,000.00  Reagan In

09/28/1990  3,233,313,451,777.25  Reagan Out

09/30/2000 5,674,178,209,886.86   GWB in

09/30/2008 10,024,724,896,912.49 GWB out

Today: $16,453,521,000,000  Obama

What a BEPper Sees:

09/30/1980  907,701,000,000.00  Reagan In

09/28/1990  3,233,313,451,777.25  Reagan Out (so it’s his fault He started it!!)

09/30/2000 5,674,178,209,886.86   GWB IN

Today: $16,453,521,000,000  Bush’s Fault (from 5 to 16- that’s “tripled”)

That’s it. It’s that simple. 🙂

Anything else is heresy. It’s thought that must be suppressed and destroyed.

ALL HAIL KING OBAMA!

He’s all credit for the Good and no fault for the bad.

And frequently the “good” isn’t actually good.  But it must be projected as such because they are the superior beings and they cannot be seen to be wrong, EVER. No matter what. No matter how silly or psychotic they get they are always “right” and they always have all the “facts” and you don’t.

YOU are a Mindless drone of FOX News, if you disagree with them. It’s YOU who are programmed.

It’s All YOU!!

The U3 unemployment rate is the same now as it was 4 years ago at his first inaugural. Most people who are rational would think this is a bad thing.

But not the left. Oh no.

“well at least we stop shedding 700-800,000 jobs like we did under BUSH.” or some variant on this Talking point that has been programmed into them.

Because it should be obvious to all that the reason the jobs are not growing fast enough (Obama has created over 5 million jobs you know– that’s why the unemployment is unchanged! :)) is because of George W. Bush – The Evil Satan! Destroyer of the World!

Unemployment Rate by Month

The fact that it was higher than 7.8% (which was Jan 2009) until Sept 2012 and hasn’t actually budged since is not Obama’s economics fault it is The Republicans fighting Obama and Bush’s Fault.

That’s it. End of story.

The Fact that the Senate hasn’t passed a Budget since 2009 (which by law it has to pass one) is the Republican’s fault, don’t you know.

They send the Senate, “silly”, “outrageous” Budgets so the Democrats feel they must ignore them. It’s the Republicans fault for “playing games” and “obstructing” the process.

If they’d only send up a Budget that they approve of then everything would be fine! 🙂

Do it my way, or else it’s your fault that nothing gets done!! 🙂

The alternative to this is the “BUT MOM! he did it too!” response. We all know what this is in reality, and excuse to get out being in trouble by saying that a sibling did it too or first or timmy’s mom/dad let him/her do it!

So if the Republican ever did ANYTHING that you are complaining about ANYWHERE in history or ANYTHING even remotely like it, then it’s ok for them do it because you did it first so stop complaining about it.

In real life you’d get the MOM look and you’re busted because she ain’t buying it for a second.

But not the Democrats, especially when they have the Ministry of Truth to back them up.

And if that doesn’t work, fall back to the ultimate line of defense: YOU’RE A RACIST! or You’re Nazi-esque and of course no sane person wants to be that so they must be right and you MUST be wrong after all. 🙂

So our King will give a flowery speech about “coming together” and “unity” and “love” and “reaching across the isle” and “bi-partisanship” for the sake of the children and the country… AND NOT MEAN ONE DAMN WORD OF IT!

NOT ONE WORD!

But his drones and his sycophants will cheer and smile and wonder how the universe ever got a long without someone who is so perfect in every way.

And then they’ll have their 2-minute BEPper Hate (designed to increase the hatred for the current enemy of the Party, as much as possible) and go on about their day secure in the knowledge that not only are they always right, but that you- the heretic- are in fact a Moron to be pitied for your lack of intelligence.

From Wikipedia entry: The left-wing media watchdog site Media Matters for America, set up to counteract what was perceived as a domination of the public square by right-wing intolerance and misinformation, particularly on FOX News and conservative talk radio, has used the theme by uploading regular “Two Minutes Hate” segments to the Internet composed of inflammatory or extremist language used by right-wing pundits.

And Wikipedia is the fountain of all knowledge as we know so it must be true! 🙂

So are you a BEPper There a BEPper
They are a BEPper They  expect you to be a BEPper
Wouldn’t you like to be a BEPper too?
Be a BEPper Drink The Kool-Aid  and “feel” better.

Your King and his army of drones command it.Bask in the glow of his greatness and be “enlightened”.

After all, you’re not a racist, bigoted, savage in need of enlightenment are you? 🙂

Psychology

People are more likely to believe false arguments when they think they’ve come up with them on their own!

Or someone they share a partisan divide with tells them it.

So tell a lie often enough and it becomes the truth.

Confirmation bias (also called confirmatory bias or myside bias) is a tendency of people to favor information that confirms their beliefs or hypotheses. People display this bias when they gather or remember information selectively, or when they interpret it in a biased way. The effect is stronger for emotionally charged issues and for deeply entrenched beliefs.

Like rich people are evil, greedy, step-on-everyone,thrown grandma to the curb, outsourcing, scrooge-like ruthless assholes who just take advantage of everyone and everything!!!

Biased search, interpretation and memory have been invoked to explain attitude polarization (when a disagreement becomes more extreme even though the different parties are exposed to the same evidence), belief perseverance (when beliefs persist after the evidence for them is shown to be false), the irrational primacy effect (a greater reliance on information encountered early in a series) and illusory correlation (when people falsely perceive an association between two events or situations).

The “Cancer” ad run by the Democrat Super PAC anyone? 🙂

Confirmation biases can be used to explain why some beliefs remain when the initial evidence for them is removed. This belief perseverance effect has been shown by a series of experiments using what is called the “debriefing paradigm”: subjects examine faked evidence for a hypothesis, their attitude change is measured, then they learn that the evidence was fictitious. Their attitudes are then measured once more to see if their belief returns to its previous level.

A typical finding is that at least some of the initial belief remains even after a full debrief.

So who care if the “Cancer” ad and others like it are completely bogus, if we can create a lasting impression in our favor (or at a nuclear slag pile of crap on our opponent) then it’s all good.

And we have 90% of the Mainstream Media to hammer it home to boot. What’s not to like about it!!

Turn your opponent into a pile of crap that no one will vote for with falsehoods and you win!

What’s the downside? 🙂

And Best of all, you don’t have to even bother defending your own crap. No one will care after 24/7/365 about the other guys crap (even if it’s false).

What could be better.

Biased interpretation offers an explanation for this effect: seeing the initial evidence, people form a working hypothesis that affects how they interpret the rest of the information.

And you can’t get more biased than the Left and the Mainstream Media.

The truth is irrelevant; only slogans and fear-mongering delight mobs.

Thomas Sowell: If this year’s election is going to be decided on the basis of hard facts, the Obama administration is doomed. But the Obama campaign is well aware of that, which is why we are hearing so many distracting innuendoes and outright lies about such peripheral issues as what Mitt Romney is supposed to have done while running Bain Capital — or even what is supposed to have happened at Bain Capital, years after Mitt Romney was long gone.

The Obama campaign’s big smear, about how Romney is supposed to have caused a woman to die of cancer, has been exposed as a lie by CNN, hardly a Republican network. What smears like this show is that the Obama administration cannot run on its track record, so it has to run on distractions from the country’s real problems.

When Senator Harry Reid claims that Mitt Romney hasn’t paid his income taxes, and demands that Governor Romney disprove this unsubstantiated allegation, that raises an obvious question as to why the Internal Revenue Service has not prosecuted Romney, instead of leaving that to a partisan politician in an election year.

What makes this a farce is that Senator Reid himself has not released his own income tax records, while claiming that Romney’s release of only two years of his income tax records is not enough, even though it has been enough for other candidates in other years.

If Mitt Romney releases all his tax records going back to his childhood, it will not put a stop to this fishing expedition, much less bring an apology when those records show nothing illegal. It will just provide more material for making more distracting claims to change the subject from the track record of the Obama administration.

This election is a test, not just of the opposing candidates but of the voting public. If what they want are the hard facts about where the country is, and where it is heading, they cannot vote for more of the same for the next four years.

But, if what they want is emotionally satisfying rhetoric and a promise to give them something for nothing, to be paid for by taxing somebody else, then Obama is their man. This is not to say that the public will in fact get something for nothing or that rich people will just pay higher taxes, when it is easy for them to escape taxation by investing overseas — creating jobs overseas.

Even if most Americans do not have their own taxes raised, that means little, if they end up paying other people’s taxes in the higher prices of goods and services that pass along the higher taxes imposed on businesses.

There are no doubt voters who will vote on the basis of believing that Obama “cares” more about them. But that is a faith which passeth all understanding. The political mirage of something for nothing, from leaders who “care,” has ruined many a nation.

Enemies List

Happy Mothers Day to all those Mothers out there who have “never worked a day” in their lives according to the Democrats.

My mother passed away in 2010. So, if your yours is still around, give her the love and respect she deserves while you still can.

Now back to the fun…

Michael Ramirez Cartoon

If you were ever remotely mean to any human being or animal in your ENTIRE LIFE and you gave big money to Romney, well Obama and his crew of gravediggers and muckrackers want to know about it so they can humiliate you.

They can’t run on their bosses record, or even his REAL ideas. So they will be looking to see if Mitt ever spit up someone’s face when he was 8 months old and now they also want YOU, Mr & Mrs Donor.

They want to humiliate and intimidate you. Facts are irrelevant. Juicy Bits that would not even make the National Enquirer , invented “facts”, and exaggerated falsehoods are the name of the game.

And like the case of the dead “bully” victim write it so if the family objects to your muckracking you can blow them off with impunity because you are the caring and  sensitive ones after all.

Make sure they know there is a price for defying Big Brother and giving money to the ENEMY OF THE STATE.

It’s the Chicago Way.

“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” Obama said

Or in this case, if you bring big money to the Enemy of the State we’ll bring a Nuke and shove it up your ass!!

“Any revolutionary change must be preceded by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people. They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and change the future. This acceptance is the reformation essential to any revolution.” — Saul Alinsky

Vote for Me, The other Guy (and all his donors) is/are an Asshole!

John Stossel: Here’s what happens when the president of the United States publicly targets a private citizen for the crime of supporting his opponent.

Frank VanderSloot is the CEO of Melaleuca Inc. The 63-year-old has run that wellness-products company for 26 years out of tiny Idaho Falls, Idaho. Last August, Mr. VanderSloot gave $1 million to Restore Our Future, the Super PAC that supports Mitt Romney.

Three weeks ago, an Obama campaign website, “Keeping GOP Honest,” (Don’t you just love the Orwellian names Liberals come up with :)) took the extraordinary step of publicly naming and assailing eight private citizens backing Mr. Romney. Titled “Behind the curtain: a brief history of Romney’s donors,” the post accused the eight of being “wealthy individuals with less-than-reputable records.” Mr. VanderSloot was one of the eight, smeared particularly as being “litigious, combative and a bitter foe of the gay rights movement.”

About a week after that post, a man named Michael Wolf contacted the Bonneville County Courthouse in Idaho Falls in search of court records regarding Mr. VanderSloot. Specifically, Mr. Wolf wanted all the documents dealing with Mr. VanderSloot’s divorces, as well as a case involving a dispute with a former Melaleuca employee.

Mr. Wolf sent a fax to the clerk’s office—which I have obtained—listing four cases he was after. He would later send a second fax, asking for three further court cases dealing with either Melaleuca or Mr. VanderSloot. Mr. Wolf listed only his name and a private cellphone number.

Some digging revealed that Mr. Wolf was, until a few months ago, a law clerk on the Democratic side of the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. He’s found new work. The ID written out at the top of his faxes identified them as coming from “Glenn Simpson.” That’s the name of a former Wall Street Journal reporter who in 2009 founded a D.C. company that performs private investigative work.

The website for that company, Fusion GPS, describes itself as providing “strategic intelligence,” with expertise in areas like “politics.” That’s a polite way of saying “opposition research.”

When I called Fusion’s main number and asked to speak to Michael Wolf, a man said Mr. Wolf wasn’t in the office that day but he’d be in this coming Monday. When I reached Mr. Wolf on his private cell, he confirmed he had until recently worked at the Senate.

When I asked what his interest was in Mr. VanderSloot’s divorce records, he hesitated, then said he didn’t want to talk about that. When I asked what his relationship was with Fusion, he hesitated again and said he had “no comment.” “It’s a legal thing,” he added.

Fusion dodged my calls, so I couldn’t ask who was paying it to troll through Mr. VanderSloot’s divorce records. Mr. Simpson finally sent an email stating: “Frank VanderSloot is a figure of interest in the debate over civil rights for gay Americans. As his own record on gay issues amply demonstrates, he is a legitimate subject of public records research into his lengthy history of legal disputes.”

A look through Federal Election Commission records did not show any payments to Fusion or Mr. Wolf from political players, such as the Democratic National Committee, the Obama campaign, or liberal Super PACs. Then again, when political groups want to hire researchers, it is not uncommon to hire a less controversial third party, which then hires the researchers.

This is not the first attack on Mr. VanderSloot. While the executive has been a force in Idaho politics and has helped Mr. Romney raise money, he’s not what most would consider a national political power player. Through 2011, nearly every mention of Mr. VanderSloot appeared in Idaho or Washington state newspapers, often in reference to his business.

That changed in January, with the first Super PAC disclosures. Liberal bloggers and media have since dug into his past, dredging up long-ago Idaho controversies that touched on gay issues. His detractors have spiraled these into accusations that Mr. VanderSloot is a “gay bashing thug.” He’s become a national political focus of attention, aided by the likes of partisan Salon blogger Glenn Greenwald and MSNBC host Rachel Maddow. Bloggers have harassed his children, visiting their social media accounts and asking for interviews and information.

Mr. VanderSloot has said his attackers have misconstrued facts and made false allegations. In February he wrote a long reply, publicly stating that he has “many gay friends whom I love and respect” who should “have the same freedoms and rights as any other individual.” The Obama campaign’s response, in April, was to single out Mr. VanderSloot and repeat the slurs.

Political donations don’t come with a right to privacy, and Mr. VanderSloot might have expected a spotlight. Then again, President Obama, in the wake of the Gabby Giffords shooting, gave a national address calling for “civility” in politics. Yet rather than condemn those demeaning his opponent’s donors, Mr. Obama—the nation’s most powerful man—instead publicly named individuals, egging on the attacks. What has followed is the slimy trolling into a citizen’s private life.

Mr. VanderSloot acknowledges that “when I first learned that President Obama’s campaign had singled me out on his ‘enemies list,’ I knew it was like taping a target on my back.” But the more he’s thought it through, “the public beatings and false accusations that followed are no deterrent. These tactics will not work in America.” He’s even “contemplating a second donation.”

Still. If details about Mr. VanderSloot’s life become public, and if this hurts his business or those who work for him, Mr. Obama will bear responsibility. This is what happens when the president makes a list.

AND FOR THE REST OF YOU…

A newly discovered Air Force intelligence brief states that should fleets of unmanned drones accidentally capture surveillance footage of Americans, the data can be stored and analyzed by the Pentagon for up to 90 days.

The instruction, dated April 23, admits that the Air Force cannot legally conduct “nonconsensual surveillance” on Americans, but also states that should the drones”incidentally” capture data while conducting other missions, military intelligence has the right to study it to determine whether the subjects are legitimate targets of domestic surveillance.

“Collected imagery may incidentally include US persons or private property without consent,” the instruction states.

The Air Force can take advantage of “a period not to exceed 90 days” to use the data to assess “whether that information may be collected under the provisions of Procedure 2, DoD 5240.1-R and permanently retained under the provisions of Procedure 3, DoD 5240.1-R.” it continues.

The Pentagon directives cited authorize limited domestic spying in certain scenarios such as natural disasters, environmental cases, and monitoring activity around military bases.

Should the drones capture data on Americans, the Air Force says that it should determine whether they are, among other things, “persons or organizations reasonably believed to be engaged or about to engage, in international terrorist or international narcotics activities.”

The instruction also states that the Pentagon can disseminate the data to other intelligence and government agencies, should it see fit.

“Even though information may not be collectible, it may be retained for the length of time necessary to transfer it to another DoD entity or government agency to whose function it pertains.” the document reads.

Congress recently passed legislation paving the way for what the FAA predicts will be somewhere in the region of 30,000 drones in operation in US skies by 2020. (Infowars)

So fly the Friendly skies of Big Brother!!

Oh, and one more thing…

The top-secret US National Security Agency is not required to reveal any deal it may have with Google to help protect against cyber attacks, an appeals court ruled Friday.

The US Court of Appeals in Washington upheld a lower court decision that said the NSA need not confirm or deny any relationship with Google, because its governing statutes allow it keep such information secret.

So remember Big Brother is Watching you! 🙂

MR CAMPAIGN MODE

Barack Obama has already held more re-election fundraising events than every elected president since Richard Nixon combined, according to figures to be published in a new book.

Obama is also the only president in the past 35 years to visit every electoral battleground state in his first year of office. (on Taxpayer money not campaign money).

The figures, contained a in a new book called The Rise of the President’s Permanent Campaign , give statistical backing to the notion that Obama is more preoccupied with being re-elected than any other commander-in-chief of modern times.

Obama had held 104 fundraisers by March 6th this year, compared to 94 held by Presidents Carter, Ronald Reagan, George Bush Snr, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush combined.

And still has 6 months to go!

Since then, Obama has held another 20 fundraisers, bringing his total to 124. Carter held four re-election fundraisers in the 1980 campaign, Reagan zero in 1984, Bush Snr 19 in 1992, Clinton 14 in 1996 and Bush Jnr 57 in 2004. (KFYI)

All Hail the Campaigner-In-Chief!
Alinsky Rule 1: Power is not only what you have, but what an opponent thinks you have. If your organization is small, hide your numbers in the dark and raise a din that will make everyone think you have many more people than you do.
So Obama makes it look like he has a chance in states he doesn’t just to make people think he does and waste time and money on it.
And besides, he’s going for the naive and the stupid anyhow.
WATCHING THE WATCHERS
Embarrassed by a prostitution scandal, the Secret Service will assign chaperones on some trips to enforce new rules of conduct that make clear that excessive drinking, entertaining foreigners in their hotel rooms and cavorting in disreputable establishments are no longer tolerated.

So these highly trained, professional adults need a “chaperone” because they are too immature to be professional on the job or mature enough off the job?
Wow!
“Mom, can I invite this hooker up to my hotel run fun of classified information!!?
“NO!”
“Ah, Mom, you never let me do anything!” 😦
It must be the Republicans

HOPE & CHANGE HOUSING
The Housing market is likely to remain weak and may take a generation or more to rebound, Yale economics professor Robert Shiller told Reuters Insider on Tuesday.Shiller, the co-creator of the Standard & Poor’s/Case-Shiller home price index, said a weak labor market, high gas prices and a general sense of unease among consumers was outweighing low mortgage rates and would likely keep a lid on prices for the foreseeable future.

“I worry that we might not see a really major turnaround in our lifetimes,” Shiller said.

The S&P/Case-Shiller composite index of 20 metropolitan areas gained 0.2 percent in February on a seasonally adjusted basis, the first uptick in prices in 10 months.

But Shiller called it “a very mixed bag.” Nine of the 20 cities recorded falling or flat prices on the month.

He said suburban areas in particular might endure further price declines as high gas prices increase demand for “walkable cities.”

MORE LIBERAL COMEDY
Jimmy Kimmel: “Democrats would like you to stick to your guns. And if you don’t have any guns, you can ask Eric Holder to get some for you.”
Liberal Bastion – Chicago Tribune: To the shock of most sentient beings, Facts died Wednesday, April 18, after a long battle for relevancy with the 24-hour news cycle, blogs and the Internet. Though few expected Facts to pull out of its years-long downward spiral, the official cause of death was from injuries suffered last week when Florida Republican Rep. Allen West steadfastly declared that as many as 81 of his fellow members of theU.S. House of Representatives are communists.
“It’s very depressing,” said Mary Poovey, a professor of English at New York University and author of “A History of the Modern Fact.” “I think the thing Americans ought to miss most about facts is the lack of agreement that there are facts. This means we will never reach consensus about anything. Tax policies, presidential candidates. We’ll never agree on anything.”
Liberal facts: Global Warming, Raising Taxes is good for everyone, Unemployment stimulates the economy….Oh, and the Republicans “obstruct” because they keep passing bills that the Democrats ignore.
Gov. Mike Huckabee 2009: I’m sad to report today a death of a good friend to all of us…..Journalism, the once esteemed 4th estate of our nation and the protector of our freedoms and a watchdog of our rights has passed away after a long struggle with a crippling and debilitating disease of acute dishonesty aggravated by advanced laziness and the loss of brain function.

Journalism once proudly patrolled our society and sought to tell us the stories that informed and sometimes inspired us.  They also presented the news that would irritate us—and the irritation was not over the delivery, but the content as corruption and misdeeds were revealed.

In recent years, journalism had grown increasingly dependent on spin-doctor spoonfeeding and the circular and insular quoting of other journalists instead of attempting to locate and quote actual first person sources.  I told you a couple of weeks ago about how the NY Times, Newsweek, Time, and other media outlets took words I said on my radio commentary and instead of quoting them, summarized them and then distributed them.  Bloggers and other supposedly professional journalists then took those already distorted interpretations, treated them as sources, and added their own spices.  Newsweek even had the audacity to use quote marks around a statement never even uttered as if it were my actual words.

While providing cover for President Obama and many of his contradictory statements, several practicing journalists broke their arms patting themselves on the back and broke their legs tripping over their own words.  The fall brought about serious head injuries rendering the profession with only a minimal brain function.  Despite heroic efforts at the White House to show tender and thoughtful love to friendly reporters, journalism has slipped from the news pages of major papers.
Survivors include the American people, who long ago stopped buying the ink-stained drivel that smeared the pages of paper and the people who attempted to read it.  No memorial is planned as the practitioners of propaganda seem to be unaware that they have passed away and continue to publish anyway.
Chicago Tribune: “Anybody can express an opinion on a blog or any other outlet and there’s no system of verification or double-checking, you just say whatever you want to and it gets magnified. It’s just kind of a bizarre world in which one person’s opinion counts as much as anybody else’s.”
MSNBC, NBC, Media Matters, Huffington Post, Daily Kos, anyone on the Left?
Anyone??
Sorry, those were “factual”… 🙂

In early February, Politico reported that the Obama campaign, hoping to rekindle enthusiasm among young voters, was “looking to revive the cool appeal.” Then, suddenly, news stories started popping up about Obama’s alleged coolness, in contrast to that drip Romney. A sampling:

• President Obama: The cool factor

• ‘Cool’ Obama Returns GOP Fire on Gas Prices

• Obama: The new King of Cool

• Barack Obama is cool. Mitt Romney is not. What does it mean for 2012?

• Campaigning for the ‘Cool’ Vote

• The Obama-Romney ‘Cool Gap’

• The Ned Flanders of Politics: Romney Isn’t Cool

• Obama On Late Night Too Cool For Cool?

• Obama, Jimmy Fallon and the race for cool

Nor did the press bother to mention how the left-wing Fallon was last seen sandbagging Michele Bachmann when he had his band play “Lyin’ Ass Bitch” as she walked on stage. Civility police, anyone?
Ah, but who has time to worry about such trivialities when you’re busy looking for new ways to advance Obama’s I’m-cool-and-Romney’s-not story line? (IBD)
Rep West: Responding to a question about his comments, the Florida Republican doubled down on his accusation, saying that instead of calling themselves “communist,” they now call themselves “progressive.”
“At the turn of the century American communists renamed themselves progressives,” West explained on Tuesday. “There’s a very thin line between communism, progressivism, Marxism, socialism or even as Mark Levin has said statism.”
“Calling fellow members of Congress ‘communists’ is reminiscent of the days when Joe McCarthy divided Americans with name-calling and modern-day witch hunts that don’t advance policies to benefit people’s lives,” Congressional Progressive Caucus co-Chairs Reps. Raúl M. Grijalva and Keith Ellison wrote in the statement.
(ABC News)
Rep. Grijalva 2010:There are new developments on the business front of the immigration debate including concerned contractors and a state official calling for a business boycott.

The surprising call for a boycott of Arizona came Tuesday from Representative Raul Grijalva, who represents southern Arizona in the United States Congress. He had some advice to businesses: “Refrain from using Arizona as a convention sight spending their dollars in Arizona until Arizona turns the clock forward instead of backwards.”

Boycott my constituents!
Now that’s “representing” at it’s finest.
Grijalva continued to denounce the law, calling it “racially motivated.”
So he’s the perfect person to talk about inflammatory statements!
And the media played it down.

DRESS

The family of a paralyzed Afghanistan veteran is going head-to-head with a Texas school district over pro-military t-shirts that apparently landed two their elementary school children in trouble.

The shirts, which have the logo of an organization that provides homes and support for wounded veterans, apparently violate Masters Elementary School’s dress code.

Josie Perez-Gorda, the mother of Savannah, a first-grader, and Taylor, a fourth-grader, said that her daughters were wearing shirts from the Homes For Our Troops organization. The family’s connection to the group is a very personal one.

The group, with a self-proclaimed mission of “helping those who have selflessly given to our country and have returned home with serious disabilities and injuries since September 11, 2001,” may be providing housing assistance to Perez-Gorda’s family. Her husband, Army Spc. Justin Perez-Gorda, was injured when he encountered a road-side bomb in Afghanistan.

The mother maintains that her girls should have been permitted to wear the shirts in honor of both their father and the organization without incident.

“These guys are fighting for our country and they should be able to wear something that honors their parents, especially if they are wounded,” she said.

The school district, though, claims that the girls have been in trouble for violating dress regulations numerous times before. Additionally, a spokesperson for the Judson Independent School District emphasized the need for continuity. Currently, the dress code requires that students, grades pre-K through eighth, wear a Polo-styled shirt (any color is permissible) or a shirt with a college or JISD campus spirit logo.

“We do have a standardized dress code,” proclaimed spokeswoman Aubrey Chancellor. “We certainly support the military, but we do have to be consistent across the board when it comes to following the dress code.”

Chancellor urged the family to attend a school board meeting if they wish to see the school’s dress code amended.

Wanna test that with Army, Navy or West Point College shirts?

Or maybe an American Flag on Cinco De Mayo. 🙂

Cherry Picking

We’ve been hearing lots of talk of “economic recovery” and “reductions in unemployment” and “better days ahead” in the mainstream media.  It’s now about eight months until the 2012 election, and the Obama campaign is in full-on panic mode over the bad economy, so they’re releasing all kinds of misinformation, which is gobbled up by the press, who simply regurgitate it without a moment’s pause to question or analyze the “facts” and “figures” being presented.  And why should they?  Obama is their guy, and they would be thrilled to see him re-elected, so they’re happy to let the falsehoods stand when they report what they’re fed, and they have a million excuses at the ready if they’re ever called on it.  “This was a government report – we had reason to believe it”, or “those numbers were fluid – we just reported where they stood at that particular moment”.

The BS: In 2009, we were losing 750,000 jobs a month. Our biggest banks and auto companies were on the brink of pulling down the whole economy. But we righted the ship. We did not tip into a Great Depression. And over the last 22 months, businesses have created more than 3 million jobs, the most since 2005 and more manufacturing jobs than since the 1990s. We still have a long way to go but we have restored hope and possibility to the economy.

This chart from the Bureau of Labor Statistics utterly destroys that argument.  The BLS measures the percentage of working-age adults currently employed in the population — and as can easily be seen, three years of Barack Obama has not made any dent in the trough created by the recession:

That is not recovery.  It’s not even a start to a recovery.  By cherry-picking 22 months, the best Greenberg can claim is job growth of 136,370 jobs per month, which would barely exceed the needed job growth per month to keep up with population growth.

Why cherry-picking?  I explained the issue when Obama tried using this claim during his Google+ hangout at the beginning of the month:

But why 22 months?  Obama began his term in January 2009, and the recession ended in June 2009.   What’s so special about March 2010?  Well, not so surprisingly, that’s almost the nadir of employment during Obama’s presidency, which actually took place in February 2010, two years ago this month. Even if he’d picked the right month, it would still only have been 2.654 million, not 3 million.

Calculating from the end of the recession, the net job creation from those 31 months is only 1.407 million, a wan 45,390 net jobs a month, far below the pace needed to keep up with population growth.   Calculating for the entirety of his presidency, we’re actually in the hole 937,000 jobs.  Obama tried to cherry-pick the worst month in order to claim the most credit he could possible for job growth, and managed to get both the month and the math wrong anyway.

Obama and his strategists can cherry-pick all they like.  This chart tells the real story of Obamanomics and job creation during his term.

Good News: DHS Spending $11 Million Scouring Web for Criticism of Its Policies

I’d have loved to have heard the shrieks of indignation coming from The New York Times and the rest of the leftist infrastructure had John Ashcroft and other Bush administration officials engaged in this kind of egregious behavior.

No double standards here, folks.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has been paying a defense contractor $11.4 million to monitor social media websites and other Internet communications to find criticisms of the department’s policies and actions.

A government watchdog organization, the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC), obtained hundreds of documents from DHS through the Freedom of Information Act and found details of the arrangement with General Dynamics. The company was contracted to monitor the Web for “reports that reflect adversely on DHS,” including sub-agencies like the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Citizenship and Immigration Services, Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

In testimony submitted to the House Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence, Ginger McCall, director of EPIC’s Open Government Project, stated that “the agency is monitoring constantly, under very broad search terms, and is not limiting that monitoring to events or activities related to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or manmade disasters…. The DHS has no legal authority to engage in this monitoring.”

McCall added: “This has a profound effect on free speech online if you feel like a government law enforcement agency—particularly the Department of Homeland Security, which is supposed to look for terrorists—is monitoring your criticism, your dissent, of the government.”

Rest assured that our beloved, baritone DHS secretary — and her ostensible boss, Eric “Fast ‘n’ Furious” Holder — would never, ever use this kind of information to go after private citizens. They’re just doing research.

As far as you know.

Consider this reason number 43,263 to kick this administration’s ample rear out of office in November.

PENNSYLVANIA JUDGE THROWS OUT ASSAULT CASE

An atheist annoyed a Muslim by using a Halloween costume of “zombie Mohammed” and the Muslim to beat the shit out the guy.

The charge goes to try and the Judge throws it out calling the atheist a “doofus”.

From Jonathan Turley:

There is a surprising story out of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania that seems the perfect storm of religious tensions. You begin with Ernie Perce, an atheist who marched as a zombie Mohammad in the Mechanicsburg Halloween parade. Then you add Talaag Elbayomy, a Muslim who stepped off a curb and reportedly attacked Perce for insulting the Prophet. Then you have a judge (Judge Mark Martin) who threw out the criminal charges against Elbayomy and ridiculed the victim, Perce. The Judge identifies himself as a Muslim and says that Perce conduct is not what the First Amendment is supposed to protect. [UPDATE: The judge says he is not a Muslim despite what is heard by most listeners on the tape. That being the case, the criticism of the comments remains.] [UPDATE2: Perce has responded to our blog and denied many of the factual representations made by Judge Martin].

The judge not only points to the Koran in the courtroom but his time in Muslim countries as relevant to his deliberations. Putting aside the problem of ruling in a case where you admit you have strong personal feelings, the lecture given on the first amendment is perfectly grotesque from a civil liberties perspective.

The Judge: “Well, having had the benefit of having spent over two-and-a-half years in predominantly Muslim countries, I think I know a little bit about the faith of Islam. In fact, I have a copy of the Quran here, and I would challenge you, Sir, to show me where it says in the Quran that Muhammad arose and walked among the dead. I think you misinterpreted a couple of things. So before you start mocking somebody else’s religion, you might want to find out a little more about it. It kind of makes you look like a doofus. …

In many other Muslim-speaking countries, err, excuse me, many Arabic-speaking countries, predominantly Muslim, something like this is definitely against the law there, in their society. In fact, it could be punished by death, and frequently is, in their society.

Here in our society, we have a Constitution that gives us many rights, specifically First Amendment rights. It’s unfortunate that some people use the First Amendment to deliberately provoke others. I don’t think that’s what our forefathers intended. I think our forefathers intended to use the First Amendment so we can speak with our mind, not to piss off other people and cultures – which is what you did.

I don’t think you’re aware, Sir, there’s a big difference between how Americans practice Christianity – I understand you’re an atheist – but see Islam is not just a religion. It’s their culture, their culture, their very essence, their very being. They pray five times a day toward Mecca. To be a good Muslim before you die, you have to make a pilgrimage to Mecca, unless you’re otherwise told you cannot because you’re too ill, too elderly, whatever, but you must make the attempt. Their greeting is ‘Salam alaikum, wa-laikum as-Salam,’ uh, ‘May God be with you.’

Whenever it is very common, their language, when they’re speaking to each other, it’s very common for them to say, uh, Allah willing, this will happen. It’s, they’re so immersed in it. And what you’ve done is, you’ve completely trashed their essence, their being. They find it very, very, very offensive. I’m a Muslim. I find it offensive. I find what’s on the other side of this [sign] very offensive. But you have that right, but you are way outside your bounds of First Amendment rights.

I’ve spent about seven years living in other countries. When we go to other countries, it’s not uncommon for people to refer to us as ‘ugly Americans.’ This is why we hear it referred to as ‘ugly Americans,’ because we’re so concerned about our own rights, we don’t care about other people’s rights. As long as we get our say, but we don’t care about the other people’s say.”

Burning the Flag anyone? Occupoopers pooping on the Flag anyone? Flag in a Jar of Urine anyone?

Hitler References, “racism” references by Liberals when you disagree with them.

No provocation there. It’s unfortunate that some people use the First Amendment to deliberately provoke others. –The Judge. 🙂

FREEDOM –DEMOCRAT STYLE

Democrat Kathy Hochul (via Guy Benson): I love the audible shock that ripples through the upstate New York crowd when their elected representative informs them that “the Congress” isn’t especially interested in what the Constitution has to say on certain “aspects” of its sundry decrees.  She goes on to pay lip service to religious freedom, suggesting that HHS’ extremely narrow exemptions to the mandate are sufficient.  Under this interpretation, the fact that “the decision has been made by this Congress than Americans are entitled to healthcare” renders conscience objections from religious institutions and individuals obsolete.

From Here Campaign Website: Democrat Kathy Hochul dismissed being portrayed as a tax-and-spend liberal as “politics” and said she’s a pragmatist who is open to good ideas no matter which side of the political aisle they come from.

“You can’t label me anything,” Hochul said during a stop at The Daily News Thursday.

Sure…. 😦 Whatever….

“Well, basically, we’re not looking to the Constitution on that aspect of it.”- Rep Hochul

THE IRS & TEA PARTY

In January and February of this year, the Internal Revenue Service began sending out letters to various local Tea Parties across the country. Mailed from the same Cincinnati, Ohio IRS office, these letters have reached Tea Parties in Virginia, Hawaii, Ohio, and Texas (we are hearing of more daily). There are several common threads to these letters: all are requesting more information from these independent Tea Parties in regard to their nonprofit 501(c)(4) applications (for this type of nonprofit, donations are not deductible). While some of the requests are reasonable, much of them are strikingly onerous and, dare I say, Orwellian in nature.

The other question is the timing of these IRS letters requesting reams of copies and hundreds of hours of work and potentially thousands of dollars in accounting/legal fees (all due in two weeks). Some of these Tea Party groups have not received anything concerning their nonprofit status since 2010 prior to these letters.

In the near future, the Affordable Healthcare Act mandate and all things related to healthcare are to be policed and enforced by the IRS. This means thousands more IRS agents will be added, but the actual number is yet unknown. Considering that healthcare accounts for 1/6th of the U.S. economy, it will probably be a significant number of additional agents. According to the tax administration inspector general, Russell George, “The new Affordable Care Act provisions represents the largest set of tax law changes in 20 years.” That’s an overwhelming thought considering there are over 70,000 pages of federal tax code. (KFYI)

But I guess I’m just Cherry Picking… 🙂
