Conventional Silliness

We Told You!

The liberal “Democratic” process was rigged like a Third Word Banana Republic Dictatorship!

You Sanders Voters were discounted, disrespected and disregarded.

Bwah hahahahahaahahahhahahahahahahaha

Chanting “Hell No, DNC, we won’t vote for Hillary” and “This is what democracy looks like,” the marchers headed from City Hall down Broad Street, the main north-south artery that leads from the city center to the convention site about 4 miles away. (NBC10)

And the Liberals were playing upt he faked, paid for “violence” and “protests” at then RNC Convention last week when they have REAL protestors on their own door step.

Their corrupt Chairwoman resigns and immediately goes to the head of the Hillary Corruption Team. 🙂

And whose protecting them from the angry masses, but the Cops  AND GUNS the Democrats set the angry masses on!!

The Irony is delicious. (and lost on Liberals BTW).

Bernie Sanders supporters with tape over their mouths reading ‘Silenced By DNC’ stand in the arena.

It’s just way to funny. Like most Liberal failures you just can’t make this stuff up.

20,000 freshly leaked emails reveal resentful disdain toward Sanders, as party favored Clinton long before any votes were cast

FEEL THE BURN!

In its recent leak of 20,000 DNC emails from January 2015 to May 2016, DNC staff discuss how to deal with Bernie Sanders’ popularity as a challenge to Clinton’s candidacy. Instead of treating Sanders as a viable candidate for the Democratic ticket, the DNC worked against him and his campaign to ensure Clinton received the nomination.

One email from DNC Deputy Communications Director Eric Walker to several DNC staffers cites two news articles showing Sanders leading in Rhode Island and the limited number of polling locations in the state: “If she outperforms this polling, the Bernie camp will go nuts and allege misconduct. They’ll probably complain regardless, actually.”

Instead of treating Sanders with impartiality, the DNC exhibits resentful disdain toward him and the thousands of disenfranchised voters he could have brought into the party.

“Wondering if there’s a good Bernie narrative for a story, which is that Bernie never ever had his act together, that his campaign was a mess,” wrote DNC Deputy Communications Director Mark Paustenbach to DNC Communications Director Luis Miranda, in response to backlash over DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz shutting off the Sanders campaign’s access to voter database files.

Another chain reveals MSNBC’s Chuck Todd and DNC staff members discussing how to discredit MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski’s call for Wasserman Schultz to resign.

Most of the emails released come from seven prominent DNC staff members: senior adviser Andrew Wright, national finance director Jordon Kaplan, finance chief of staff Scott Comer, Northern California finance director Robert Stowe, finance director of data and strategic initiatives Daniel Parrish, finance director Allen Zachary and Miranda.

The release provides further evidence the DNC broke its own charter violations by favoring Clinton as the Democratic presidential nominee, long before any votes were cast.

Over the past several weeks, Guccifer 2.0 released several internal memos showing DNC staff strategizing to make Clinton the presidential nominee—as early as March 2015. In June 2016, Florida-based law firm, Beck & Lee, filed a class action lawsuit against Wasserman Schultz and the DNC based on the revelations from these leaked files.

Other emails show DNC staff in damage control over allegations from the Sanders campaign, when a report—corroborated by a Politico—revealed the DNC’s joint fundraising committee with the Clinton campaign was laundering money to the Clinton campaign instead of fundraising for down-ticket Democrats. Regardless of the fundraising tactics, because both major campaigns didn’t agree to use the joint fundraising committee super-PAC with the DNC, the DNC should have recused itself from participating with just the Clinton campaign.

The Wikileaks and Guccifer 2.0 leaks are the perfect end to a Democratic primary that undermined democracy at every possible opportunity while maintaining plausible deniability.

The party’s rules, including the use of super delegates—who disproportionately endorsed Clinton before the primaries began—are intended to provide the Democratic Party leverage over the election process. Throughout the primaries, decisions were made by DNC officials to help Clinton build and maintain a lead over Sanders.

More votes were cast for Clinton, but they were cast at the behest of a Democratic Party that downplayed her shortfalls to the extent that Sanders not only had to run against Clinton but also against the entire Democratic Establishment. Heading into the Democratic National Convention, voters are beginning to understand that their voices are of little concern to the leadership. (Observer)

Naturally, The DNC doesn’t take responsibility for it, even though Debbie Does Hillary resigned as a sacrificial fake out.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign has accused Russia of meddling in the 2016 presidential election, saying its hackers stole Democratic National Committee (DNC) emails and released them to foment disunity in the party and aid Donald Trump. (From Hillary’s Private Server maybe? 🙂 )

Clinton’s campaign manager, Robby Mook, said on Sunday that “experts are telling us that Russian state actors broke into the DNC, stole these emails, [and are] releasing these emails for the purpose of helping Donald Trump”.

“I don’t think it’s coincidental that these emails are being released on the eve of our convention here,” he told CNN’s State of the Union, alluding to the party’s four-day exercise in unification which is set to take place this week in Philadelphia.

“This isn’t my assertion,” Mook said. “This is what experts are telling us.”

In a statement, the Clinton campaign repeated the accusation: “This is further evidence the Russian government is trying to influence the outcome of the election.” (UK Guardian)

So fellow Communist Elitists want Trump to win?

I’m confused. 🙂

Rational?

“Our party has a problem,” Wasserman Schultz said in a video announcing the project. “We know we’re right on the issues. The American people believe in the causes we’re fighting for. But the electoral success we have when our presidential nominee is able to make a case to the country as a whole, doesn’t translate in other elections. That’s why we lost in 2010, and it’s why we lost on Tuesday.” (AP)

I found this on Facebook:

2014 TALKING POINTSSo do you still think The Left has any rational thought process and that they can be negotiated with?

“It’s apparent that there are increasingly two separate electorates: a midterm electorate and a presidential electorate. We win one and we don’t seem to be able to win the other,” said Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who leads the Democratic National Committee, in an interview Saturday. “That is a fundamental dynamic that we have to change.” (AP)

Thus, we need those 12-20 million illegal alien Democrat voters to crush any opposition to our Sanctified Cause. 🙂

Still think there are any rational thoughts on the Left, left?

PHOENIX (AP) – A federal judge has struck down Arizona’s 2005 immigrant smuggling law on the grounds that it’s trumped by federal statutes.

Federal Supremacy wins again. All Hail The King! All Hail Big Brother!

Or Else!

The ruling Friday by U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton marked the latest in a string of restrictions placed by the courts on Arizona’s effort to get local police to confront illegal immigration.

Bolton ruled the state law deprives federal authorities of their exclusive right to prosecute smuggling crimes.

Mind you, she’s a massive Leftist…

Arizona’s smuggling law was passed as lawmakers responded to voter frustration over the state’s position as the nation’s then-busiest immigrant smuggling hub.

The smuggling law had been used frequently in Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s trademark immigration efforts, though the courts have curbed his immigration powers over the 17 last months.

If We, in Washington, want to ignore the Law, you have no rights! Just suck it up and live with it. Up Yours!

FUCK THE TENTH AMENDMENT!

Now that’s a Federal Government here to help you and protect you (as long as you’re not American and not white)… 🙂

Homecoming

I’m Back!

And you know what I learned after 10 days in the UK?

There politicians are just as scummy and narcissistic as ours.

I didn’t get a chance to watch BBC News because I was too busy with other things but you still had a guy who was the head of a bank who got busted for doing cocaine and was largely unqualified but had the job because of connections. (“FORMER Co-op Bank chairman Paul Flowers has been arrested in connection with a drugs supply investigation, police said“)

You have the Deputy Prime Minister who is Labour Party (Liberal) running against his own brother for Party Leader supreme.

And so on…

I come home and Obama strikes a deal with Iran to get HIM out of that Foreign policy hole, for now. You are incompetent or naive to believe anything Iran’s leaders say. So he was just trying to fix HIS OWN problem. Not actually do anything.

And then he told the biggest lie he’s ever told, which for him is saying something: “I’m not a particularly ideological person,” Obama said.

BWAH hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

He’s NOTHING BUT IDEOLOGICAL.

Obama added Sunday that while he’s still passionate about giving people a fair shake, about the environment, and working for peace and national security, he’s also “pretty pragmatic about how we get there.”

You are either a no-conscious liar or delusional , which is Mr. President??

And what does it say about anyone who’d believe him??

Take DWS, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, the DNC Mouthpiece Extradonaire:

“At the end of the day, Americans were not only, not meyezled by the president….”

Say what? “….not meyezled by the president”? Imagine msnbc viewers running to look up that word.

Like a good liberal, the chairwoman was simply not thinking. And she misread “misled.” (IBD)

How Ironic. 🙂

Meyezled is a perfectly good yiddish word meaning in effect “we are all screwed”.

IBD: In another naked attempt to protect Democrats from ObamaCare, the administration plans to delay next year’s exchange enrollment until after the elections, so they can hide another round of rate shocks from voters.

Health and Human Services announced on Thursday that next year’s open enrollment period won’t start until Nov. 15, which conveniently puts it after the midterm elections. An administration official said the delay “will give issuers the benefit of more time to evaluate their experiences during the 2014 plan year.”

Please. This is nothing more than a political move designed to minimize ObamaCare’s damage to Democrats.

By delaying open enrollment until Nov. 15, the administration can keep consumers in the dark about the prices they’ll have to pay in the ObamaCare exchanges before they go to the polls. That, in turn, could spare Democrats another round of rate shock stories in the run-up to the elections.

This is hardly the first time Obama has tried to mask the dark side of ObamaCare for political reasons.

Just before the 2012 elections, for example, the HHS announced an $8.3 billion “demonstration project” for the privately run Medicare Advantage plans. It paid just about every one of them “quality improvement bonuses.”

When the Government Accountability Office looked into it, auditors couldn’t find any reasonable justification for the payments.

But this phony demonstration project did manage to paper over steep cuts to the Medicare Advantage program that ObamaCare is imposing. And by doing that, Obama prevented any backlash from seniors.

Since then, Obama has delayed the employer mandate, verification rules and out-of-pocket caps, all to keep the ultimate costs of ObamaCare hidden from view.

The very law itself was designed to hide the pain — and the costs — from taxpayers as long as possible.

The Devil Went Down

Desperate DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz:

Getting in President Obama’s way has been the top priority for Republicans in Congress since day one. But now they’ve gone too far.

They’ve been caught red-handed making up so-called ‘scandals’ out of thin air to stir up false rumors of vast ‘cover-ups’ happening in the White House.

Did they find a single shred of evidence to back up their outrageous claims? No.

But rather than let the truth stand in their way, Republicans actually doctored emails between administration officials about Benghazi. Then, they released them to the press, trying to pass them off as real in order to create their scandal. Fortunately, they got caught in the act when the White House released all of the actual emails.

Tell President Obama you’ve got his back right now, no matter what Republicans come up with next.

Thanks, Debbie… ::sigh::

Country-music legend Charlie Daniels isn’t buying the White House line that President Obama simply “didn’t know” about the scandalous actions plaguing his administration.

From the gun-running “Fast & Furious” debacle of 2011 to recent revelations the Internal Revenue Service has been targeting tea-party groups, Obama has denied knowledge of his underlings’ actions, even stating he only discovered the improprieties after the evening news reported them.

But in an exclusive interview with WND, the ever-outspoken Daniels blasted the president’s “excuses.”

“If I had a drunk bus driver, for instance, and I told everybody, ‘Don’t tell me about that, I don’t want to know about it,’ and that way if we get sued I can say, ‘I didn’t know it,’ basically that’s got to be what’s happened,” Daniels said. “[But] when you hide behind plausible deniability, that is not leadership. That is cowardice. You’re not leading the country, you’re misleading the country.”

Daniels further charged the blame-shifting is “pervasive” throughout the Obama administration.

“Look at the so-called attorney general, who should have been held to task a long time ago, for one thing, not prosecuting the Black Panthers standing in front of the polling place,” Daniels said. “Then we have Fast & Furious, then we have this thing in Benghazi, then we have the IRS thing – it’s one thing after another. This administration is out of control!

“People have, with reason – regardless of whether they support the presidential administration or not – lost any kind of trust,” Daniels said. “If someone says something, you don’t know if it’s true, if they mean it, if they don’t mean it. As far as what’s going on right now, we don’t have a leader.”

And don’t even think about defending Obama by pointing back to George W. Bush.

“Going back and saying what Bush or Reagan – or for that matter George Washington – did is a total and complete waste of time,” Daniels told WND. “It makes no difference what they did. This guy was supposed to be in to fix the mistakes any president in front of him made, and he’s not doing it. Making excuses for him is not going to help him. He needs to be held to account, he needs to come clean. He needs to get that IRS woman to go back in front of Congress and tell the truth.”

The IRS scandal in particular, appears to have piqued Daniels’ ire.

“Somebody deserves some jail time out of this thing with the IRS,” Daniels told WND. “It’s like the Gestapo. It’s like having your own, private, secret police force to sick on people. It’s dirty.

“I am not comparing Obama to Hitler; I’m comparing politics to politics,” the singer explained. “In the 1920s and ’30s Germany erred in that direction, giving a little bit here, a little bit there, giving the government more and more until they had it all, then all of a sudden the government turns around and says you can’t have guns and you can’t do this, you can’t do that. … This is a dangerous, terrible situation we have going on in this country right now.”

Watch Charlie Daniels’ message to America about the loss of U.S. sovereignty and the rise of a New World Order in the riveting new video “Behold a Pale Horse” on DVD!

Since the 1950s Daniels has been a country singer and famed fiddler, perhaps best known for his hit song “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” He was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2008.

But he also writes frequently on culture and politics, no stranger to bold statements in defense of God and country, and maintains a “soapbox” blog on his website, CharlieDaniels.com.

“I have never in my life seen the United States of America in the kind of shape it’s in right now,” Daniels told WND. “It’s time for somebody to do something to bring this country back together.”

But who’s that somebody, and what can they do?

Daniels decried that so many people in our country are unaware of the severity of the scandals rocking Washington and unwilling to be educated about their own government or the freedoms being slowly sapped from them by the very people they voted into office. Far too many, Daniels lamented, “don’t even know who the speaker of the House is” and “couldn’t find New Jersey on a map.”

“How much more are we going to let stupid get away with?” Daniels asked. “The Bible says, ‘My people perish for lack of knowledge’ – it’s what’s going on in this country. If people knew what was happening, it would scare them to death. But they don’t know. They’ve got their head in the sand; they don’t want to know. It’s just like, ‘Send me my check every month and the h— with everything else.’

“Who are they going to vote for?” he asked rhetorically. “They’re going to vote for the guy that gives them the most.

So can anyone make a difference in Washington?

“The true power in this country is the House of Representatives. That’s our people,” Daniels said. “That’s the people that the people put in every two years. We need to put people there that hold people accountable. The Senate’s a d— lost cause. In my opinion the House of Representatives needs to hold everyone’s feet to the fire. … We need to get to the bottom of this thing.

“If the IRS gets off scot free, the Benghazi thing is let go and the Justice Department getting into these reporters’ lives is let go, we’re finished,” Daniels concluded. “I mean, it’s just gone: nothing going to be done about nothing, and they can do anything they want to and we’re just at their mercy.”

“I hope that this time he’s dug in deep enough that they’re not going to let it go,” Daniels said of Obama. “If people had any idea what they’re losing in this country, they would be doing something about it.” (WND)

Obama: I’m the Best there has ever been! 🙂

406 A.D.

More proof of The Agenda is the Agenda no matter what. NOTHING matters more than the agenda. Not even money.

That much lying for that long was very expensive. “Vote for me, the Other guy is an asshole” does not come cheap.

Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) says Democrats are “in the red” because they spent more than “everything we had” to get Barack Obama and others elected last November.

In an e-mail to supporters, the DNC chair says:

“We spent everything we had to spend in 2012 to win the White House, add seats in the Senate, and pick up seats in the House — our job was to do everything we could to elect President Obama and other Democrats across the country.”

“We spent every last penny” – and more – Wasserman Schultz says:

“The cardinal sin in campaigns is to sit on money — which is why we spent every last penny we had in 2012 (and then some) to make sure the election went our way.”

As a result, she says “Democrats are in the White House – but we are also in the red.”

The consequences of not indulging in deficit spending would’ve been the election of people like Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, and Todd Akin, she warns:

“If we had done things differently in 2012, we’d be looking at President Mitt Romney, Vice President Paul Ryan, Senator Todd Akin, and Rep. Allen West. But because we left it all out on the field, we’ve got President Obama, Vice President Biden, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Rep. Patrick Murphy, Sen. Claire McCaskill, and dozens of amazing Democrats in office across the country.” (CNS)

So do you think they’ll cut spending now with 2014 and the wanted “final” destruction of the Republican Party on the Agenda?? 🙂

Nope.

But you will be expected to pay more money and dig deep into your coffers to help them achieve their goals whether you want to or not.

Expect pushes for more jobs for public sector employees because they are the life blood of the Democrat party.

After all, it’s for the Greater Good that is THEM. They are the superior human beings and they can’t be allowed to be  defeated by the neandertals in the Republican Party now can they!

Democrats spend too much money and Republicans are unwilling to compromise: A new Gallup poll asked Americans to name “one or two specific things you dislike” about the Republican Party and the Democrat Party, and those attributes topped the list of negatives.

The poll found that Democrats are far less critical of their own party than Republicans are of theirs.

Well, I’m Shocked… 🙂

Gallup also asked Americans to name “one or two specific things you like” about each party.

Sixty percent of Democrats and 36% of independents say there is nothing they like about the Republican Party. Likewise, 61 percent of Republicans and 35 percent of independents said they like “nothing” about the Democratic Party.

“Compromise” anyone?

Basically, the class warfare media war has been very effective. Republicans are seen as uncompromising (because compromising with a progressive liberal means they get 100% of what they want and you get nothing) and the Democrats care about the middle class (cough cough…choke choke).

Charlie Daniels:

The seizing of power is not always accomplished by military coup or even at the ballot box. As the old saying goes, there’s more than one way to skin a cat, some being so subtle and gradual, flying below the radar and stealthily creeping piecemeal into society in the guise of benefiting the “greater good” that by the time a slumbering society is awakened to the danger, it is firmly entrenched and extremely powerful.

Frog…water…boil..anyone?

The early stages of such takeovers seldom affect the whole of society at any one time.  It’s accomplished by fostering confusion, class envy and the feeling that somebody is not paying their “fair share,” that there are people who don’t want the masses to have a level playing field, don’t want poor people to have health care or adequate food and housing and the problems of the underclass are all their fault.

A public which is mostly convinced that the system needs changing and don’t really mind the painful ones as long as it’s “them” not us that it happens to, not realizing that the pain will eventually fall on them, also.

They will eventually get around to you, when they’ve run out of them.

So congratulations. We are the Roman Empire and it 406 A.D…

Pavlov’s Dog

Imagine a TSA goon not only having the power to squeeze your junk if you so much as look at them the wrong way, but also having the capability to deliver an electric shock to anyone who speaks out of turn.

In 2008, the Washington Times reported on how DHS official Paul S. Ruwaldt of the Science and Technology Directorate, office of Research and Development, wrote to Lamperd Less Lethal, Inc. indicating that the Department of Homeland Security was ready to purchase devices from the company that would be used to deliver incapacitating shocks to airline passengers, all of whom would be mandated to wear the taser bracelet once they checked in for their flight.

The so-called “safety bracelet,” also known as the Electronic ID Bracelet, was designed to replace a boarding pass and be capable of tracking the passenger through the airport by means of GPS technology. The device would also contain details about the passenger and their flight plans.

The primary function of the device was to allow airport officials and flight crews to deliver an incapacitating electric shock to travelers by means of Electro-Muscular Disruption (EMD), completely immobilizing the individual for minutes. The bracelet would be worn by all travelers until they disembarked at their location. The patent for the device admits that all passengers could be incapacitated if the devices are activated.

“Upon activation of the electric shock device, through receipt of an activating signal from the selectively operable remote control means, the passenger wearing that particular bracelet receives the disabling electrical shock from the electric shock device. Accordingly, the passenger becomes incapacitated for a few seconds or perhaps a few minutes, during which time the passenger can be fully subdued and handcuffed, if necessary. Depending on the type of transmission medium used to send the activating signal, other passengers may also become temporarily incapacitated, which is undesirable and unfortunate, but may be unavoidable,” reads the patent for the device.

In his letter to Lamperd Less Lethal, Inc., DHS official Ruwaldt also noted how the bracelet could be used as a “method of interrogation,” in other words a torture device. He also raised the prospect of using the device against protesters to allow the temporary “restraint of large numbers of individuals in open area environments by a small number of agents or Law Enforcement Officers.”

The letter stated that the DHS was “interested in…. the immobilizing security bracelet” and that it was “conceivable to envision a use to improve air security, on passenger planes.” Other letters made it clear that the DOD, the CDC, Department of Interior, Department of Agriculture Forestry service, as well as unnamed law enforcement agencies were also keen on acquiring the device.

Following a wave of negative publicity, the DHS pulled the plug on its interest in the torture bracelet.

However, given that the TSA is already doling out punishments for people who do not display the proper level of obedience, by either preventing them from flying , stealing their cash , or simply punching them in the balls , how far away are we from the hideous idea of the taser bracelet being resurrected?

The fact that the torture bracelet was ever seriously considered at all should send chills down the spine of every American who values their dignity, especially given the endless train of TSA abuse stories that pour in on a weekly basis. (KFYI)

And we all know how much Liberals really want to control you because ultimately they want everyone to either be them or be ruled by them because they are the perfect humans and you’re not.

You are Pavlov’s Dog!! And Janet is your owner! 🙂
You are government cattle to herded. You must eat the right foods, drive the right car, use the right power sources, read the correct information, think the correct thoughts, and do whatever the government says.
They haven’t done it yet, but maybe when if Obama is re-elected they will be more “flexible” after all, it’s for your own good and your own safety, after all.

LIBYA

Debbie Wasseerman Schultz, DNC chair: Piers, it is not okay for you to be saying that the administration was putting out completely false statements. They put out information that they had at the time based on the intelligence that they were given —
Just like Bush, Yellow Cake, and Niger…. 🙂
Ring that bell and watch Debbie slobber.
Piers Morgan: That turned out to be completely wrong.

Wasserman Schultz: Well that doesn’t mean it was false. It doesn’t mean that it was deliberate. It means that.

Morgan: What?! Now wait a minute. If you put out a false statement, then it’s false, it’s wrong. It’s both of those things.

Wasserman Schultz: But you’re suggesting that it’s … Piers, what you’re suggesting is that it was somehow deliberate. It was not deliberate. What they did was it was important to get information out that they had at the time. And they did that. And as they learned more information, they corrected the original information that they put out. But there was nothing sinister here. This was simply the president of the United States and the administration making sure that we did a careful investigation, gave the American people the information that they needed at the time that we had based on our best intelligence and then as more intelligence was gathered we gave the updated information. There is nothing sinister about that.

What’s terrible unfortunate though, is that you do — there’s no around these investigations that Republicans in Congress and Mitt Romney have left to go after the administration questioning whether or not there was any deliberate attempt to mislead. We should be closing ranks, working together to prevent this from happening again.

Morgan: Well the answer to that Debbie, is — the answer to that is to make sure that the original statements that were made are accurate. (RCP)

Not in Liberal land is not. It’s all about perception, not reality. And if they do it, it’s ok.
That’s how it works in their heads.
Afetr all, they are Homo Superior and they are just so much better than you. You really should just fall to your knees and worship the ground they walk on and the air they allow you to breathe.
If not, there’s always Pavlov’s Dog  (Or MSDNC, which the same thing).

Baloney Sandwiches

a new report from the Institute for Supply Management shows that manufacturing dropped by the largest amount in three years during the month of August.  Unfortunately, construction is also down.  It declined by the largest measure in a year – not a positive indication of a healthy economy.  These are leading indicators, and they foretell an increase in unemployment in the months to come.  Reduced manufacturing and construction require reduced labor, and lower labor demand results in higher unemployment. (KFYI)

But since that doesn’t fit the Democrat Talking points it will be ignored. Focus on “we created 4.5 million jobs for 29 consecutive months” which is statistical game of deception and is like saying while standing in the middle of a forest fire- “but that tree is fine”. The rest is Bush’s Fault.
Yeah, that’s the ticket. The Democrat ticket.
Then the Democrats had to contend with the fact that they shoved God out of the platform completely and threw Israel under the bus AGAIN.
Poor babies. Bet the Ministry of Truth covered that one up fast!!
DNC chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) says the omission of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the word God in the party platform was a “technical oversight” because it is “many pages long.”
And ObamaCare at 2700 pages wasn’t? 🙂
I guess they passed it so they could know what was in it! 🙂
It’s not surprising they would deliberately misquote me. What I always say is that unfortunately the Republicans have made Israel a political football, which is dangerous for Israel. (RCP)
No, she clearly did not. But that’s a Liberal for you. I’m going to tell you what I said and you’ve going to believe it. And that’s that. 🙂
Then the Democrats called for a vote on the amendments to cram it back in…
Many in the audience booed after the convention chairman, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, ruled that the amendments had been approved despite the fact that a large group of delegates objected. He called for a vote three times before ruling and it was clear by the audio that it wasn’t adopted and after 3 embarrassing attempts they just adopted it because they had to even though they don’t believe it. Because Perception is reality and they didn’t want THAT perception.

Perfectly liberal.
Debbie again, “I can assure that that no one has deliberately taken God out of our platform,” and refused to say anything more.
It was obviously a secret Republican conspiracy to make them look bad. 🙂
When Clinton pronounced in 1996 that “the era of big government is over,” it was taken as a concession to the new conservatism that swept to control of Congress just over a year earlier. But Clinton’s rhetorical move was more tactical than fundamental. He never stopped believing in the power of government. And now that Republicans are putting forward the most emphatically pro-business, anti-government agenda on offer since the Gilded Age, he and his fellow Democrats now feel an urgency to assert the state’s positive role. The economic market, they insist, cannot deliver what the nation needs all by itself. Thus, one of the most applauded lines of the convention’s first night came from Gov. Deval Patrick of Massachusetts. “It’s time for Democrats to grow a backbone,” Patrick proclaimed, “and stand up for what we believe.” Rarely has a party so fully embraced a declaration that implied its own past spinelessness. Speaker after speaker answered Patrick’s call.

While Michelle Obama’s speech, the performance of her life, was apolitical on the surface, it regularly came back to arguing, subtly and implicitly, that hardworking Americans who start out on the social ladder’s lower rungs can be assisted in their struggles by the empowering hand of government.

In his keynote address, Mayor Julian Castro of San Antonio was explicit about this: “We know that you can’t be pro-business unless you’re pro-education,” he said. “We know that pre-K and student loans aren’t charity.” Over and over, government was presented not as an officious intermeddler in people’s lives but as an ally of families determined to help their children to rise.(RCP)

Thomas Purcell: The Democratic National Convention last night was a who’s who from a den of liars, trollops and felons. Central to the theme of the convention was the idea that somehow a group of misogynistic men and women can somehow represent the rights of women’s suffrage and freedom. Starting with an homage to Ted Kennedy, the man who has the first confirmed kill in the war on women on a wooden bridge in Chappaquiddick, this circus event continued on with a repeated lineup of speakers that were arguing that somehow women’s freedom relied upon making women dependent upon government entitlements.

What a lineup! You had people like Sandra Fluke who is a grown woman that is demanding the taxpayers pay for her birth control so that she can act wantonly and without responsibility or thought, and then it was followed up with a President who is known perjurer and adulterer telling us how bad the Republicans are and how great Obama is to a crowd of people that were torn between booing God and the Israeli people who are under threat of extermination on a daily basis.

Yes that’s right, this leftist bunch booed God when the platform vote came around. The worst part is the yahoos who ran the procedure then stuffed the ballot box for God and passed the resolution over the screaming mobs demanding the name of God be stricken from the record.

But the all-time ‘take the cake’ speaker was a known and self professed illegal alien Benita Veliz standing in front of this crowd of miscreants telling America how wrong they are for daring to say ‘these are our borders and we will protect them’.

Ignore the law, screw the people that came here legally, I want my free stuff.

Just in case you missed it, the DREAM executive order that was protecting Ms. Veliz from ICE storming the stage and dragging her off kicking and screaming doesn’t give her amnesty, it merely prevents her from deportation. As an illegal alien she is still breaking the law and committing a felony by being here—she is just immune from prosecution while in school.
What they aren’t telling you is that the DREAM executive order doesn’t protect anyone else in that room. That’s right folks; every person in that convention center is potentially an accomplice to a felony, namely harboring an illegal alien. Last I checked anyway we still had laws about our borders.

We are being looted as a nation and the Democrats are cheering it on like a foaming emperor at a Roman games.

The entire mantra of the left wing this week has been the same- me me me, give me my free stuff on the back of those that produce for society. Take the wealth from the productive, tear down the laws, and use the Constitution to wipe your posterior with.

Change.

Well not me, I still believe that America stands for something, that we obey the law until such time as a representative body like Congress changes it. When Obamacare passed, I don’t remember anyone in the GOP saying it should be ignored or disobeyed, they argued to vote for them to repeal it.

That’s why I’ll be voting Republican in November.

So should you, unless you want lawlessness, chaos and mayhem, with government at your throats telling you that you have too much stuff and are taking it away. (RCP)

The easiest way to trip up a Democrat in Charlotte for the national convention is to ask him to answer this question: What is Obama’s vision for a second term? The placeholder answer, of course, is “creating an economy built to last.” But this talking point has, even to Democrats, begun to wear thin. It’s often repeated, but lacks definition. “Nobody really knows what that means,” said Joe Trippi, a Democratic strategist who handled Jerry Brown’s gubernatorial campaign in 2010. So even though Obama’s reelection slogan is “Forward,” there’s not much talk—at least not yet—of what the country would move forward toward, or of the specific policies that Obama would enact to propel the nation up and out of the current low-wattage economic recovery. Would it include comprehensive immigration reform? Would it include tax reform? Would it include changes to Medicare and Medicaid beyond those in the 2010 health care law? Would it include any effort to limit greenhouse-gas emissions? Would it include any sustained effort to reduce poverty among African-Americans?

Reelection campaigns are typically defined by the incumbent’s policy achievements and what they tell voters about what is to come. Obama has spent precious little time extolling his accomplishments in that area, with the exception of laws requiring new and widespread financial regulations and ensuring pay equity for women. His signature overhaul of health care remains largely unmentioned. For a full day on national television, Obama advisers were bedeviled by the question, “Are people better off than they were four years ago?” On Monday, the campaign declared “yes,” people were better off, but knew it still had some explaining to do.  With such difficulty dealing with reelection basics—what you have done and are people better off—it might be assumed that Obama’s team would by now have fortified the “forward” part of its message. Forward in pursuit of what?
Forward!  To something!  (With a heavy dose of “flexibility”).  Super. (Townhall)

Good Old Debbie Wasserman Schultz, On the Priorities USA Obama SuperPAC “Cancer” attack ad: “I have no idea the political affiliation of the folks who are associated with that SuperPAC.”

oh really, maybe it’s the Green Alien Sex Probe Party? 🙂

Every single viewer knows she’s BS’ing here.  Every last one.  If she’s unable to tell a basic, obvious truth in this circumstance, why should anyone believe a single thing that comes out of her mouth?  After the interview, DWS got pummeled online for her performance, which she attempted to clean up with a belated tweet:

RT @DWSTweets: Clearly Priorities USA is a Democratic SuperPAC. Was trying to state the obvious: we have no control over their activities.

So you lied previously then, eh. I guess she didn’t build those lies either. 🙂

Then Rich Lowry (“right winger”) met Rachael “Mad Cow” Maddow (MSDNC):

LOWRY: Do you support $700 billion in cuts in Medicare over the next ten years?

MADDOW: I’m not running for president.
(the usual escape clause for Liberal pundits)

LOWRY: Do you?

MADDOW: I’m not running for anything. Paul Ryan is running for vice president.

LOWRY: Do you? Why can’t you answer? See, you can’t answer.

MADDOW: But wait, I’m not running for anything..

LOWRY: This is the key vulnerability. Democrats have cut $700 billion out of Medicare which you won’t or can’t defend it. Defend it.

MADDOW: Is it good or bad?

LOWRY: Do you support it? You can’t answer.

MADDOW: But wait. Why are you asking me?

LOWRY: You can’t answer. Because you’re an opinion maker who is supposed to give us your opinion. But you will not tell us what your opinion is.

MADDOW: What I want to know is the logic of…

LOWRY: Democrats cannot defend that.

MADDOW: Wait. I want to know is the logic…

LOWRY: Go ahead. Defend it.

MADDOW: What I want to know is the logic.

LOWRY: [Laughs].

MADDOW: Wait. Rich, hold on.

LOWRY: Answer me. You’re not answering.

MADDOW: Can I say something?

LOWRY: Can you answer?

MADDOW: Can I say something?

DAVID GREGORY, HOST: Let her answer because I want to go back to Bill Bennett on something.

MADDOW: What I want to know is the logic of attacking somebody for something that you yourself are proposing to do? Paul Ryan proposes keeping those same cuts.

LOWRY: Mitt Romney is not doing it, and those are meat axe cuts. Can I make one last point? One last point?

GREGORY: No, no. I’m going to pull back on this. I want to ask Bill Bennett a separate question. This debate will go on.

Hilarious.
And her childish response later: Ah, a Drudge link. Welcome, 3-day onslaught of ALL CAPS swearing misspelled tweets & emails informing me that I am gay.
The Best and Brightest Leftist Attack Dogs, indeed. 🙂
Speaking of Attack Dogs: SeeBS Snooze

Incredible. CBS News has an anti-Romney “fact check” articleup this morning supposedly debunking statements made by Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan during yesterday’s introduction of the veep pick.  At the end, CBS actually snuck in the hyper-partisan, DNC-talking-point assertion that it was “clear” that when President Obama utttered his infamous “you didn’t build that”, he was talking about “teachers and infrastructure.”

CBS claims that in criticizing “you didn’t build that,” Republicans “seized on only part of Obama’s quote.”  In fact, it is CBS itself that edited out another, most telling, part of Obama’s comments.  The network omitted the following Obama lines which make irretrievably clear that he was indeed disparaging the achievements of entrepreneurs. More after the jump.

BARACK OBAMA: “[I]f you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own.  You didn’t get there on your own.  I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart.  There are a lot of smart people out there.  It must be because I worked harder than everybody else.  Let me tell you something — there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there.”
Not that it comes as even the slightest surprise, but CBS News reveals itself as little more than an arm of the Obama campaign . . . infrastructure. (Newsbusters)

Then on 60 Minutes one of the First questions they can come up with, a Talkign point: Bob Schieffer: How many years of tax returns did you turn over to the campaign?

Ryan shoots back: I’m going to be releasing two, which is what he’s releasing. What I hear from people around this country, they’re not asking where the tax returns. They’re asking where the jobs are. Where’s the economic growth? Those are the issues that matter. I think these are more or less distractions to try and take us off the fact that the president has given us failed policies that aren’t working, that are putting us deeper into debt, that are costing us jobs. And so, we’re going to focus on what it takes to turn this country around and get people back to work.

So much for that Talking Point. But they keep at it because they are childish bullies and it’s the only “journalism” they know how to do.

David Axelrod: Starting now, we can expect even more wealthy, right-wing ideologues lining up to support the Romney-Ryan ticket.
The people on the other side who are trying to buy this election are putting nasty, deceptive TV ads on the air right this very minute. They’re not going away. They’re getting worse.

He ignores his own nasty, deceptive ads, of course. He’s a Liberal. His attacks don’t count.

Paul Ryan is simply a guy who knows how to do math, something the Obama administration isn’t very good at.

For the GOP’s conservative base, Ryan’s entry holds the tantalizing promise of elevating Romney’s game, inciting a debate on the familiar and friendly battlefield of the tea party-dominated 2010 midterms.

The 42-year-old Wisconsin congressman “knows the game — he knows math — he knows exactly what the country needs,” said Alan Simpson, the former Republican senator from Wyoming Obama tapped to co-chair his deficit commission.

“There will be an adult conversation, therefore the children will throw emotion, fear, guilt, and racism on him,” he added. “They will bomb him, bomb him, shell him coastline and bunker, and he will survive. He has facts. He uses math. He’s damn good. He’s excellent.

And boy do liberals hate FACTS!!:)

Ryan:“We won’t replace our Founding principles, we will reapply them,” he effectively challenged Obama to say what Obama believes, which is: Madison was an extremist in enunciating the principles of limited government — the enumeration and separation of powers. And Jefferson was an extremist in asserting that government exists not to grant rights but to “secure” natural rights that pre-exist government. (hot air)

So do you want a government that takes “care” of you or a government that lets you take care of yourself!

NOVEMBER IS COMING

Going For the Gold

It’s clear many diners intended to rebuke bullying politicians and the un-American idea that approved political views are required for permission to be in business. Does this resentment go further, and reflect anger at transgressed lines between private and public management, corporate and government bedfellows sharing money, policies, and favors?  Is that resentment building toward a November eruption?

Another strong positive is rejection of a vicious double standard: One side airs views through a respectful media, while others get vilified for different opinions. It’s breathtaking that liberals seek to redefine fundamental cultural concepts and muzzle the opposition; those who question or disagree should be attacked and cowed into silence, even while they speak for majority opinion. That happened with California’s ballot measure on marriage, as more than one financial supporter was hounded from high profile jobs. Wednesday was a salutary fist at that ugly trend.

Finally, what to make of the subdued coverage. Did our scribes not recognize an  important cultural moment? Because it doesn’t interest them or flatter their vision? That’s the fish-don’t-know-they’re-wet view of media bias. Or, do they know full well and work carefully to contain the story? Of course, either way, the effect is the same. (Shawn Mitchell)
But you didn’t hear it it from the mainstream media.
*******

In her weekly press briefing, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi called President Barack Obama’s tax policy “very clear,” saying that couples bringing in over $250,000 per year do not “get the pie sweetened” for them under his plan.

“The fact is we’ve been very clear. President Obama has said it in his campaign and since then and in this campaign as well. The Democrats want to be — have fairness in our tax code; that we want to go forward with giving — having the tax cuts for those making over $250,000, a couple making over $250,000, to have those tax cuts expire,” said Pelosi on Thursday at the Capitol.

“What that is is a tax cut for 100 percent of the American people. It’s just that over $250,000, you don’t get the pie sweetened for you. And with that, to say when we go down that path and inject some more certainty into our economy and our fiscal soundness, we then go to the table, put everything on the table and talk about tax fairness, tax simplification. You cannot do it dribs and drabs. You have to do it comprehensively.

Mind you, her pie is plenty sweet…

Disclosure forms reveal that Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a member of Congress from Florida, previously held funds with investments in Swiss banks, foreign drug companies, and the state bank of India. This revelation comes mere days after the Democratic chair attacked presumptive Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney for holding money in Swiss bank accounts in the past.

“Americans need to ask themselves, why does an American businessman need a Swiss bank account and secretive investments like that?” the DNC chair, a chief surrogate for President Obama’s reelection team, said on Fox News Sunday two days ago. “Just something, a thought, that I’d like to leave folks with.”

Because, it’s not do as I do, it’s do as I say. The same rules don’t apply to me. But I can attack you for them. 🙂

And the tax man, and greedy IRS agents are everywhere.

Won a Gold, Silver or Bronze medal in London??

Pay up.

When U.S. athletes at the London Olympic Games bow their heads to receive a medal, one would hope they are not thinking about their taxes. But as with much in life, Olympic glory has a price — a tax price, that is.

Legislation to exempt U.S. Olympic athletes from having to pay tax on prize money won at the games was proposed on Wednesday in the U.S. Congress by Senator Marco Rubio.

Podium athletes get checks – $25,000 for gold, $15,000 for silver and $10,000 for bronze – and the winnings are taxable for Americans.

“It’s no different from winning ‘Wheel of Fortune’ or the lottery,” said Alex Knight, a tax partner at the Atlanta accounting firm of Habif, Arogeti & Wynne.

Or “Chopped!” 🙂

On first glance, a tax break for American Olympians seems like a good idea, but some tax experts said it was just the sort of well-intentioned proposal that had made the U.S. tax code into what Rubio himself called “a complicated and burdensome mess.”

The U.S. tax code has not been thoroughly overhauled since 1986 and is riddled with special tax breaks. Both Democrats and Republicans, in principle, favor revising the code by getting rid of tax breaks so tax rates can be lowered.

“I have sympathy for Olympic athletes,” who practice for many years often without pay for a shot at the games, said Norman Ornstein, a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, a conservative think tank in Washington, D.C.

“But the athletic associations that put up these bonuses for medal winners should put up enough money to cover the taxes too. If it’s a $25,000 award, add in a third of that so that it’s $25,000 after taxes,” he said.

Addressing the problem by adding a tax break for Olympic athletes would only further complicate the code, he said.

Matthew Gardner, an analyst at Citizens for Tax Justice, a left-leaning think tank, said:

“The main reason why our tax system is so complicated is that Congress keeps deciding that certain types of income are special, and should get special tax breaks.”

Even Olympic medals themselves could be seen as valuable gifts and taxable by the U.S. government, Knight said.

Taking into account precious metal market prices, tax on a gold medal could be upwards of $200.

Still, Knight said, the Internal Revenue Service probably will not be chasing after athletes for tax revenue. “I have to imagine that would be a public relations nightmare,” he said.

But the Leftist Chicago Tribune: Olympic champions shouldn’t be exempt from paying taxes on earnings when champion teachers, doctors and police officers have to pay income taxes.U.S. military personnel pay taxes, though there are exemptions for those serving in combat zones.

And the Internal Revenue Service is not likely to press athletes to pay taxes on the value of their Olympic medals.

Yeah, chasing you down for ObamaCare Mandates is a much better idea! And much more profitable.
So, if you make too much money the Democrats will come looking for you. So the best strategy is to be one of the Democrats shouting class warfare because then you don’t have to follow your own rules.
Punish success and demonize people who create and run businesses. Now that’s a sound economic model!
But ultimately it’s “FAIR”! 🙂

Torturous Illogic

Vice President Joe Biden said Tuesday that his wife, as well as the wife of President Barack Obama, would have had “no chance” in life had it not been for government help. According to vice presidential pool reports:

Vice President Biden met with leaders from 10 colleges this afternoon to kick off a new effort to increase transparency in financial aid packages. …

“I know, literally, Barack and I talk about it. Neither one of us would have had any shot,” Biden said. “The same with our wives. Both wives are smarter than both of us. Literally, these very accomplished women would not have any chance without some help.” (free beacon)

What’s with the war on women, Mr. Vice President?

Plugs hits new levels of desperation when he’s trying to convince people they’ll have no chance of survival if his bloated government sacred cow is ever made to stop churning out Julias on a 24/7 basis. Biden’s like a big-government version of Kathy Bates in Misery reminding the hobbled James Caan, “If I die, you die” — and it’s all packaged under the guise of compassion.

Forget about just having a chance in life — the problem is that without a major course correction, it soon will be impossible to exist without government “help.” At that point Biden will be proven correct, and that’s a scary thought. (Michelle Malkin)

Speaking of Scary…

The new liberal spin (courtesy of Ed Schultz of MSNBC) that “money has entered the race” aka evil corporate money (it was never a factor before this moment-ever (Politifact says Unions gave- $206.7 million in 2008 alone)). The fact that he Unions have been pumping and pimped 100’s of millions of dollars EVERY year for decades into the process is completely missed by the sanctimonious liberals who are unhappy with the results in Wisconsin.

So the Liberal lost because evil corporate money and rich people bought the election. Class Warfare is everywhere because it is the very core of liberalism.

2010 NY Times: At over $5 million, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, a labor union, has been the biggest outside group spender on the Democratic side, followed closely by America’s Families First Action Fund, with about $4.8 million.

And gee what labor union was at the forefront in Wisconsin, AFSCME. Gee, no coincidence there! 🙂

They can’t possible have lost for any other reason than evil capitalists bought the election, after all buying elections is a Union job!!

From the White House: “While tonight’s outcome was not what we had hoped for – no one can dispute the strong message sent to Governor Walker. Hundreds of thousands of Wisconsinites from all walks of life took a stand against the politics of division and against the flood of secret and corporate money spent on behalf of Scott Walker…”

Love the “New Tone”. The “civility” is very evident.

But the funniest comment comes from our gal-pal DWS, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz:

Despite the disappointing outcome, #WIrecall effort sent Scott Walker a message that his brand of divisive politics is offensive & wrong.

Update: Unions Lose again….In California?

The Granola State? (What isn’t fruits and nuts is flakes).

In San Diego and San Jose, voters overwhelmingly approved ballot initiatives designed to help balance ailing municipal budgets by cutting retirement benefits for city workers.

Around 70 percent of San Jose voters favored the pension measure, while 66 percent of San Diego residents supported a similar measure.

“This is really important to our taxpayers,” Mayor Chuck Reed of San Jose, said Tuesday night. “We’ll get control over these skyrocketing retirement costs and be able to provide the services they are paying for.” (NYT)

The smear & fear is to come as always. Liberals don’t know how to argue any other way.

Speaking of fear…

Protesters who picketed the restaurant last month disagreed. Madeline Bernstein, president of the local Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, said: “People are allowed to eat food, not allowed to torture it first.”

California is going to ban foie gras.

Foie gras (play /fwɑːˈɡrɑː/; French: [fwa ɡʁɑ]); French for “fat liver”) is a food product made of the liver of a duck or goose that has been specially fattened. This fattening is typically achieved through gavage (force-feeding corn), according to French law, though outside of France it is occasionally produced using natural feeding.

Gavage dates back 4600 years.

California’s only foie gras producer is Sonoma Artisan Foie Gras, Owner Guillermo Gonzalez told The Daily Telegraph: “Our farm is being forced to shut down at the end of June, and the most unfortunate fact is that science has not been given a chance to play a role in this debate.

“Ultimately, chefs’ and consumers’ freedom of choice is being taken away. Who knows what food product is next?”

The ban was originally drawn up by John Burton who was State Senate president in 2004 and is now the chairman of the California Democratic Party.

My beef (pun intended) is more with the Food Police than the dish. I have never had it. I am unlikely to have it, not my style of food.

So what’s next on the Vegan “torture” list. Since, “torture” to a liberal generally means anything they disagree with and it’s to be used to inflame the situation and cow-tow you to their way because you don’t want to be a “torturer” now do you. (Or “racist” or a “bigot” or “mean”, “unfair” etc).

So that burger you’re eating is not only unhealthy, but you are supporting “torture”!!

Think I’m kidding?

PeTA Asia-Pacific Website:

Everyone who eats animal products is responsible for the abuse and deaths of beings with lives and personalities of their own—beings who did not choose to be carved up and put on the dinner table.

Because eating meat is torture.

And of course…

Because eating meat just isn’t fair.

Where would a Liberal be without saying that everything they disagree with isn’t “fair”!

The suffering of humans and the suffering of other animals are interconnected. By alleviating the suffering of other animals, we also help alleviate human suffering.

Will Dairy farms be next? Was that Chicken I had for dinner last night “tortured” when it’s head was cut off? Was that Fish “tortured” when it was taken out of the water and effectively drowned in the air gasping until it was dead?

PeTa A-P: And let’s not forget about fish. Whether they’re hooked through the mouth, dragged out of the ocean in nets, or “harvested” from fish farms, fish and other marine animals feel pain and don’t deserve to die.

And of course, eating meat discriminates against the poor and is not Pro-Union:

In addition to exploiting poor people, immigrants, and children and doing little to protect workers from workplace hazards, the farmed-animal industry has also been charged with union busting. When workers try to unionize, the industry uses illegal intimidation and harassment tactics to ensure that pro-union employees are silenced. According to Human Rights Watch, “Many workers who try to form trade unions and bargain collectively are spied on, harassed, pressured, threatened, suspended, fired, deported or otherwise victimized for their exercise of the right to freedom of association.”

You evil little Nazi “torturer” you!!

Give a Liberal a millimeter they’ll take a light year.

Bask in The Light of the Incredible

Obama May 2011 on “60 Minutes”: It is important for us to make sure that very graphic photos of somebody who was shot in the head are not floating around as an incitement to additional violence. As a propaganda tool. You know, that’s not who we are. You know, we don’t trot out this stuff as trophies. You know, the fact of the matter is this was somebody who was deserving of the justice that he received.

In addition to suggesting “we don’t need to spike the football” with any further celebration, Obama encouraged America and the world not to doubt the legitimacy of Bin Laden’s death.

2012:

Political Cartoons by Chuck Asay

My what a difference a  RE-ELECTION year  and a 14,000 mile taxpayer paid for spike the-the-football in Afghanistan makes.

I wonder if the Bin Laden Death Photos will reappear as an “October Surprise”. Maybe with a Photoshopped Obama as Rambo collage. 🙂

After all, if you have no morals or ethics and the end justifies the means what do you care. It’s all about YOU.

Then there’s:

Now a Little levity:“Let me just say, that if George Bush would have done that he would have put on that aviator suit, would have made six banners [of] ‘Mission Accomplished’ and he would have flown all over the country. From, the east to the west, from north to south and I would’ve applauded,” Sen. Boxer hypothesized.

Yeah, right, Barbara…my how the liberal mind rewrites history in a flash to make themselves look good (in their minds) and feel good. The hought Police are proud of you Barbara.

It’s pathological. They are coming to get you Barbara…

Sounds like Democrats to me. 🙂

“He has done so much and I hope that he just keeps on telling the truth to the people. That’s what this election is about: ‘Do you want to trust this man again?’ and I say the answer is ‘yes.'”-Sen. Boxer

Zombie Alert! 🙂

A Young Chris Matthews? 🙂

Then there’s good old fashioned Bribery:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The White House pledged on Wednesday to help lower-income youth find summer jobs in a move likely to appeal to younger voters crucial to President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign.

The initiative is in partnership with the cities of Philadelphia, Chicago and San Francisco and is meant to add 110,000 jobs, internships and mentorships to the 180,000 summer work opportunities for 16-24 year olds that Obama has promised to create for 2012.

And when you don’t have that job come November 7th and he’s re-elected that will be someone else’s fault, ya sucker!

The Ministry of Truth not satisfied with crucifying 🙂 stay-at-home moms via Ann Romney now they are feigning outrage at Ann Romney fashion.

Emily Friedman of ABC News did the legwork and uncovered the shocking truth: Romney’s shirt cost $1000!

Yeah, Mrs. Obama just jets off to Spain to shop. Nothing to see here.

Yikes…

My favourite Leftist Loon, DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz:

“I think the agenda of the Republican Party and of Mitt Romney has clearly been–and can be interpreted as–an attack on the issues that matter to women,” Wasserman-Schultz said during a conference call.

“From the very beginning of this Congress,” she said, “the first priorities in the first bills the Republicans introduced repealing the Affordable Care Act which would dramatically impact women in a negative way [by] making sure that insurance companies could drop us or deny us coverage for preexisting conditions, making sure that we could once again be charged more simply because of our gender for insurance coverage, making sure that we would redefine rape as only being forcible rape–that was H.R. 3.”

According to CNSNews, DWS was referring to the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, legislation that would permanently ban the use of taxpayer funds for abortion.

“You know, what Mitt Romney and the Republicans have been doing to themselves every single day is showing women in this country day after day that they are callously indifferent to women’s health, to the priorities of women,” DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz told MSNBC on Thursday night. Really as evidenced by their obsession with cultural issues, their obsession with making sure that women can’t have affordable access to birth control, the dismissive way that the Chairman of the Republican National Committee today chalked up women being concerned about making sure that we could have affordable access to preventive screenings like mammograms as fictional as a war on caterpillars. You know, if they’re still wondering why there’s an 18-point gender gap and President Obama is ahead of Mitt Romney by that many points, then they really — they really must believe these things that they’re saying.” (RCP)

Say anything. The end (re-election) justifies any means.

“One way to carry out this disapproval might be to insist that all illegitimate babies be put up for adoption—especially those born to minors, who generally are not capable of caring properly for a child alone. If a single mother really wished to keep her baby, she might be obliged to go through adoption proceedings and demonstrate her ability to support and care for it. Adoption proceedings probably should remain more difficult for single people than for married couples, in recognition of the relative difficulty of raising children alone. It would even be possible to require pregnant single women to marry or have abortions, perhaps as an alternative to placement for adoption, depending on the society.” — John Holdren, Assistant to the President for Science and Technology. So, we have a man with the morals of Joseph Mengele advising the President on science. It also shouldn’t be lost on anyone that while Obama is yammering on about a “war on women,” he has someone on his staff who has come out in favor of FORCED ABORTIONS. (townhall)

But you aren’t suppose to peek at the man behind the curtain… It’s do as I say not as I do.

“Barack knows what it means when a family struggles. He knows what it means when someone doesn’t have the chance to fulfill their potential. And today as a father, he knows what it means to want something better for your kids.–Michelle Obama

Isn’t that much saccharine illegal? It just makes me all touchy-feely and squishy inside…

Sorry, I have to go to bathroom….

<<Intermission>>

“Now, people when I say that look at me and say, ‘What are you talking about, Joe? You’re telling me we have to go spend money to keep from going bankrupt?’ The answer is yes, that’s what I’m telling you.”Joe Biden, Vice President.

Ah, the wise man speaks…:)

WHEN IN DEBT SPEND EVEN MORE! That’s the ticket!

“Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards.”Eric Holder, Attorney General.

And truer words about him have never been spoken.

“Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.”Steven Chu, Energy Secretary.

Well, it ain’t for a lack of trying…

It has been reported that the Obama campaign this year, as in 2008, has disabled or chosen not to use AVS in screening contributions made by credit card.

That doesn’t sound very important. But it’s evidence of a modus operandi that strikes me as thuggish.

AVS stands for Address Verification System. It’s the software that checks whether the name of the cardholder matches his or her address.

If a campaign doesn’t use AVS, it can wind up accepting contributions from phony names or accepting contributions from foreigners, both of which are illegal.

SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!

The 2008 Obama campaign pocketed money from “John Galt, 1957 Ayn Rand Lane, Galts Gulch CO 99999” and $174,000 from a woman in Missouri who told reporters she had given nothing and had never been billed. Presumably she would have noticed an extra charge of $174,000.

The Obama campaign is evidently happy to pocket the money. After all, this is the president who, according to political scientist Brendan Doherty, has appeared at more fundraisers in three and a half years than his six predecessors did in 35 years. (Michael Barone)

Well, all that campaigning to get the Illegal Alien Vote has to pay off somehow… 🙂

That’s how he raised $750 Million Dollars (more than any Candidate in history) last time. The Unions and the other wealthy donors, lobbyists, had nothing to do with it. 🙂

Ignore the PACs behind the Curtain.

And that’s why he doesn’t care about verifying this time. But it’s all so “moral” and so “ethical” and he’s just so wonderful.. He’s squeaky clean and perfect.

Barf Bag Overload!

Obama also indulges often in reckless political rhetoric. He likes to say that Republicans want no regulations at all on financial institutions and businesses.

It would be more politically astute, I think, and would certainly look less thuggish to draw intellectually defensible distinctions between his own regulatory policies and those of the opposition. Attacks like this sound like debates late at night in the dorm.

“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” Obama said during the 2008 cycle. That sounds like something you might hear from a community organizer. Or a Chicago pol.

Chicago, Obama’s chosen political venue, helps to explain this behavior. The mayor of Chicago — the job he once aspired to before greater opportunity beckoned — is an utterly dominant figure.

Chicago pols assume they can endlessly plunder the local private sector without penalty. And business leaders quickly catch on that it’s a good thing to be known as a personal friend of the mayor. Campaign money flows accordingly.

The local rule is “don’t back no losers.” Those who do are well advised to do business somewhere else. You never know when the assessor is going to raise your assessment. And don’t appeal in court unless you hire the lawyer with the right connections.

The mayor is also the one who gets all the credit for all good things that happen on his watch, as Obama is attempting to do on the killing of Osama bin Laden. Even though he opposed the interrogation methods that produced the information that led our special forces to Abbottabad.

Other campaigns have not disabled their AVS systems. But then their candidates are not from Chicago. Obama likes to talk about the need for civility. He just doesn’t like to practice it. (Michael Barone)

And who is Mayor Chicago right now, why it’s Raul “Never let a Crisis go to Waste” Emmanuel. imagine that!!

What a coincidence! 🙂

FASCINATING HOW THAT HAPPENED. 🙂

But don’t you feel better now. Able to go out into world and sing a happy song and whistle and just bask in the greatness that is Barack Hussein Obama.

Fainting is optional but appreciated. 🙂

Perception

“‘Celebrate diversity’ — the great bumper sticker — actually means ‘celebrate stultifying homogeneity,’” Canadian best-selling author and columnist Mark Steyn told The Daily Caller.

“As you know, if you go to the average American newsroom you can have diversity of race, diversity of gender, diversity of orientation — everything except the only diversity that matters, which is diversity of thought,” he said. “And the left does not want to celebrate diversity of thought. They rage against so-called intolerance, yet they themselves are stupefyingly intolerant.”

“They are conformity enforcers,” he explained,” but they’ve co-opted all the light, fluffy, happy, smiley-faced buzzwords.”

“That’s the classic trick taught to us by Orwell explicitly in ’1984.’ People of a conservative disposition read that book and think he’s warning of a dystopian future. People of the left read it and use it as a manual.”

Amen!
After all, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in Egypt (now being run by the Radical Muslim Brotherhood) “I would not look to the United States Constitution if I were drafting a constitution in the year 2012,”
That’s the left. They tell you they believe one thing and then they do the opposite. But when you point it out to them they get all puffy and huffy and call you bad names because you aren’t supposed to question the wisdom of Big Brother. That is a thoughtcrime and you should be “re-educated” to “the facts”.
LOOK AT ME I’M FANTASTIC!

Obama took something of a victory lap with his public remarks last week after the Labor Department released employment data showing that unemployment fell to 8.2 percent. In those remarks, Obama bragged that the economy added 600,000 jobs in the last three months and erroneously quoted President Rutherford B. Hayes in an attempt to paint the GOP as a backward party.

It’s about perception. The fact that more people quit looking and are not counted doesn’t matter. What matter is the PERCEPTION that everything is getting better and HE deserves all the credit!

The Remark: “One of my predecessors, President Rutherford B. Hayes, reportedly said about the telephone: ‘It’s a great invention but who would ever want to use one?'” Obama said. “That’s why he’s not on Mt. Rushmore.”

“He’s looking backwards, he’s not looking forward. He’s explaining why we can’t do something instead of why we can do something,” Obama said.

Arrogant much? Need to go on a Hubris Diet??

So New York Magazine: So we called up the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center in Fremont, Ohio, where Nan Card, the curator of manuscripts, was plenty willing to correct Obama’s ignorance of White House history. Just as soon as she finished chuckling.

“I’ve heard that before, and no one ever knows where it came from,” Card said of Hayes’s alleged phone remark, “but people just keep repeating it and repeating it, so it’s out there.”

Wait, so Hayes didn’t even say the quote that Obama is mocking him for? “No, no,” Card confirmed.

But since when did Facts ever get in the way of Liberal need for it to be true to serve their own goals.

Will said the president’s remarks illuminated his lack of historical perspective.

“What struck me this week is our president is not a great student of American history, as he showed in his uninformed preposterous remarks about Rutherford B. Hayes,” Will said during the online “Green Room” segment of  ABC’s “This Week.”

“But leave that aside, if he knew even recent American history he would know better than to come out and brag as he did this week when he said we created 600,000 jobs in three months.”

Will explained that while Ronald Reagan was president, he was able to add that many jobs in a single month, despite having entered office in 1981 in a deeper hole than Obama inherited in 2009.

“During the Reagan recovery of ’83-’84, they created 600,000 jobs in one month and in another month more than 700,000 jobs,” Will said. “So, Obama is really underscoring the weakness of his recovery.”

“The fact is, under the Reagan recession, unemployment hit 10.8 percent,” Will added. “So he was starting from a more difficult position.”

Thomson Reuters digital editor Chrystia Freeland said Obama was in a more difficult spot because he entered office after a financial crisis.

But Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan suggested that the president’s “incorrect or ill-thought-through” remarks were tarnishing his professorial reputation.

“Can I tell you something that I think is hurting the president’s reputation right now?” Noonan said.

“He has this reputation — he has for four years now that he has been famous in America as a really smart man. But he has said things lately that are so incorrect or ill-thought-through that people think, ‘He’s really smart. He must be being mischievous. He must be being deliberately provocative.’”

Partisan, anyone. Say whatever you have to regardless of whether it’s true or not to create the perception that serves your purposes that masks reality.

Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. — Alinky’s “Rules for Radicals”

With that, DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (on CNN — that has used the “N” word on live TV twice recently with no repercussions by the way):

“The focus of the Republican Party on turning back the clock for women really is something that’s unacceptable and shows how callus and insensitive they are towards women’s priorities,” Wasserman Schultz said.

“Because the policies that have come out of the Republican Party saying we should have to have a debate again over contraception and whether we should have access to it and it should be affordable, saying that like Gov. Scott Walker in Wisconsin, you know, he tried to quietly repeal the Equal Pay Act. Women aren’t going to stand for that,” Wasserman Schultz said. “Gov. Walker just signed a bill that repeals the equal pay law that they had in Wisconsin for years. You have Republicans that have engaged themselves for the entire Congress on trying to redefine rape as only being forceful rape, defunding Planned Parenthood and family planning programs.” (townhall.com)

The New Black Panther Party wants a race war and they want it to start tomorrow. In an audio recording of a planning meeting for a Trayvon Martin rally, New Black Panther Party members have plan violent action for what they are calling “revolution.”

“We’ve got to suit of and boot up and get prepared for the war we are in.”

“True revolution means some bloodshed.”

“We’re going to have to cause the red sea.”

“I’m talking about that blonde haired, blue eyed, sometimes brown eyed, caucasion walking around.”

“I am for violence.”

“I’m pissed off right now that the state of Florida isn’t on fire.”

“We’ve got to starve capitalism.”

“We want the complete removal of capitalism.” (townhall.com)

But don’t worry, they aren’t extremist or intolerant like Republicans and Conservatives. 🙂

If you’re a 20-year-old black male, you can beat an 85-year-old white woman to death and pummel her 90-year-old white husband straight into ICU, and it won’t make the national news.

Yep. Tyrone Woodfork, a black male who — much like Trayvon Martin — looks like Obama’s son, allegedly killed Nancy Strait and broke her husband Bob’s jaw, several ribs and shot him in the face with a BB gun last month in Tulsa. 20-year-old Tyrone also raped the nearly blind 97-pound Mrs. Strait, a great-great-grandmother, before he murdered her.

Did the above monstrous crime make the national news? Are you kidding me? Why, hell no. Of course not, silly!

Why wasn’t it fit for primetime, you ask? Well, it starred the wrong races in the wrong roles, and it thus did not fit into the fairytale the Left’s trying to foist on us goobers of Obamaland.

For those of you who have not heard diddly squat about a black twentysomething’s senseless, atrocious burglary, rape, battery and murder of an elderly white couple, here are the details regarding the couple, the crime and the culprit(s):

-Bob and Nancy Strait, the victims, grew up in rural Oklahoma during the Great Depression.

-Bob and Nancy met on a blind date in 1946 and married a month later. They had 6 kids, 18 grandkids and about 50 great- and great-great grandchildren.

-The Straits just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

-Bob served in the 101st Airborne Division in WWII.

-Bob loved woodworking, and Nancy loved quilting.

-The couple used to sit on their porch and play the guitar and sing together during the warm summer evenings.

-On either Tuesday evening (3/13) or Wednesday morning (3/14) Tyrone invaded their home and stole $200 in cash as well as the Strait’s TV and Dodge Neon after raping Mrs. Strait and severely beating Mr. Strait.

– As noted, Nancy died from her injuries. Bob is in serious condition and is being treated at a nearby hospital.

-Mrs. Strait’s funeral was on Friday, March 23, 2012.

-The family has set up a fund—The Nancy Strait and Bob Strait Support Trust—to help pay for Nancy’s funeral service and Bob’s medical care.

-The Tulsa cops are looking for five more murderous morons suspected in this sick and twisted tale.(Townhall.com)

That doesn’t fit the Liberal “facts”, sorry, no one cares. Nothing politically useful.

Perception is reality. That’s all the Liberal left wants.

The Perception that everyone but them is a racist and a moron who needs their superior intellect and their superior dictatorship.

No They Can’t! And More

http://www.scribd.com/doc/85637905/No-They-Can-t-by-John-Stossel

Politicians say “Yes, we can!” and claim they solve our problems.

When the mortgage market crashed, the President said their new law, Dodd-Frank, would create a “new financial system” so such things would never happen again.

After 9/11, Senator Tom Daschle declared “you can’t professionalize if you don’t federalize!” The Senate voted 100-0 to create the TSA to run airport security.

Politicians’ promises are endless. They say they’ll: create jobs, “make college affordable for all,” protect the disabled, give disadvantaged kids a head start, and invest in “cutting edge innovation.”

But they can’t achieve what they promise.

•Billionaire Mark Cuban and other job-creators explain why government’s rules now prevent the job creation that was once America’s hallmark.

•Dodd-Frank, instead of stopping fraud, added layers to already incomprehensible banking laws. Stossel shows how simple rules in the Cayman Islands not only stop fraud, but they also create prosperity.

•While the TSA creates long lines, misses actual terrorists, and angers passengers, screeners working for a private company at one big airport work faster, more cheerfully, and find more contraband. We show how the private company does it.

Namely, San Francisco’s Airport (the mecca of Liberalism) has Private Security and it works vastly better than the TSA.

I know the most scrutiny I got from my last Trip to Wales was actually from my stop over in Amsterdam.

Did you know that the U of Missouri is proud to have a “leisure resort” on campus? Naomi Riley, author of The Faculty Lounges: And Other Reasons Why You Won’t Get the College Education You Pay For, explains how government aid led to massive tuition hikes.

•Since the Americans with Disabilities Act took effect, fewer disabled people have been able to work.

•Lisa Snell from the Reason Foundation explains how the government’s own research found that Head Start did not help poor kids. Government’s response? Spend even more.

Government grows, despite its repeated failure.

Politicians are wrong when they say “Yes, we can”, but the fact that government can’t doesn’t mean that we can’t. Free people accomplish wonderful things. While government wastes billions on boondoggles like Solyndra, X-prize founder Peter Diamandis explains how private investors have created cars that get 100mpg, space ships, and much faster ways to clean up oil spills, all without charging taxpayers a penny.

Without big government, life can be great.

AN EXAMPLE

Everyone loves the Head Start program. Politicians across the ideological spectrum-from former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to President George W. Bush-have praised the program and called it a success.

They should read the government’s own research.

The ‘Head Start Impact Study‘ was a report conducted by the federal government. It followed and compared underprivileged kids who went to Head Start, and underprivileged kids who didn’t. The study found no difference between the two groups.

Zero.

The kids who went to Head Start did better while they were in Head Start, but one year later the benefits were all gone. Not by 5th grade. Not by 3rd grade. By 1st grade, the benefits were “largely absent”.

Since President Obama has pledged over and over to “eliminate programs that don’t work”, it seems like Head Start would be a natural to get cut.

Nope.

That’s not how big government works. Even after the report came out, the Obama administration has continued to massively increase spending on Head Start by more than a billion dollars.

In my Fox News special “No They Can’t”, I talk to Congressman Keith Ellison, co-chair of the Progressive Caucus, who in spite of the evidence insists Head Start works. When I confront him on the data, he falls back on a familiar argument: we need to spend more.

Give me a break. We’ve spent 180 billion dollars already, with nothing to show for it.

The government just can’t do it.

EXAMPLE 2

That’s how much you’ll need to buy the Energy Department’s prize-winning light bulb. (You know because Thomas Edison’s Incandescent Light Bulb was deemed politically correct by the Whacko Environmentalist Left).

Last year the government announced a $10 million prize “designed to spur lighting manufacturers to develop high-quality, high-efficiency solid-state lighting products to replace the common light bulb.” The winner? A light bulb that costs $50 each.

Only in the government would they think it was “progress” worth celebrating to replace something you can buy on Amazon.com for a little more than $1 with something that costs $50.

“I don’t want to say it’s exorbitant, but if a customer is only looking at the price, they could come to that conclusion,”Home Depot worker Brad Paulsen told the Washington Post. (Fox Business)

EXAMPLE 3 FOOD POLICE:

Public health: The toxic truth about sugar

This was headline in a Nature Magazine article that basically said sugar was bad a tobacco and alcohol and need to be sold behind the counter . Anti-obesity Meme Roth says yes, to protect the interests of kids.

Ah, it’s “for the children” so you can’t possibly object now can you?

Coke is the New Cocaine. Wait, in the 19th Century it was made with cocaine…)

🙂

And It’s Government to the Rescue!!!

WANT MORE

Kids who open lemonade stands are now shutdown by police. I tried to open a lemonade stand legally in NYC. That was quite an adventure. It takes 65 days to get permission from the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

With government adding 80,000 pages of rules and regulations every year, it’s no surprise that regular people break laws without even trying.

A family in Idaho can’t build a home on their land because the EPA says it’s a wetland-but it only resembles a wetland because a government drain malfunctioned and flooded it.

Ever hear of a real wetland in Idaho??

Want to start a taxi business? Too bad – it’s illegal. Illegal, that is, unless you buy a government-issued “taxi medallion” that can cost as much as a million dollars. One city has a free market for cabs – Washington, DC – but lobbyists there are pushing to regulate.
Sen. Dick Durbin reacts to the tornadoes in Dallas, Texas earlier this week. Durbin calls for more laws regulating carbon output while he sends a dire warning that we must convert to hybrid cars or lose our life. Durbin says we must spend money now to fix the problem.

“It’s your money or your life,” he said a press conference. “We are either going to dedicate ourselves to a cleaner, more livable planet and accept the initial investment necessary or we’re going to pay a heavier price in terms of loss of human life, damage and costs associated with it.” (RCP)

NEVER LET A TRAGEDY GO BY WITHOUT PUSHING THE GLOBAL WARMING AGENDA!
Now that’s “compassion” at it’s finest.
But some good news: A San Francisco judge has dismissed a proposed class-action lawsuit that sought to stop McDonald’s Corp. from using toys to market its meals to children in the Golden State. The suit had been filed in late 2010 by Monet Parham, a California mother of two, and The Center for Science in the Public Interest, a consumer advocacy group based in Washington, D.C.
After all, McDonald’s was and is just a Capitalist Predator out to ensnare your children in crack-addicted life of junk food and obesity!!!
<<Maniacal Laugh>>
And Finally, the ever reliable whacko, DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz:
You know, if they’re still wondering why there’s an 18-point gender gap and President Obama is ahead of Mitt Romney by that many points, then they really — they really must believe these things that they’re saying.

“Shocking,” Wasserman Schultz added.

Wasserman Schultz also says Mitt Romney is trying to “out-right-wing” his fellow Republicans. Here’s what she had to say at

“I think Mitt Romney has been so focused on trying to out-right-wing and embrace extremism that he is really beholden and has tied himself to his support for personhood amendments, his belief that Roe versus Wade was one of the worst decisions handed down by the Supreme Court, his support for the Blunt-Rubio amendment which says that bosses get to decide for their female employees what kind of access to health care they can have. And so every day there’s another example of how out of touch the Republicans are,” Wasserman Schultz said later in the interview conducted by MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell.  (Who also ripped Romney for being…<dramatic shock sting> A MORMON! Lord have Mercy we can’t elect a nutcase from a fringe religion now would you!!!) Except an Alinsky cultist called Barack Hussein Obama that is.

“Mitt Romney wants to be President of the United States, yet he fails to recognize what’s important to women. We just want to make sure that the guy in the White House is focused on creating jobs, getting the economy turned around, and making sure that as members of the middle class and working families that we have an opportunity to be successful to not just focusing on people who already are,” she said.

So when is Obama going to do that? He’s been there since 2009… 🙂
“In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem. From time to time we’ve been tempted to believe that society has become too complex to be managed by self-rule, that government by an elite group is superior to government for, by, and of the people. Well, if no one among us is capable of governing himself, then who among us has the capacity to govern someone else? All of us together, in and out of government, must bear the burden.” –President Ronald Reagan.
And God know these Liberals Never Let A Crisis Go to Waste! 🙂

Surprises

Gee, This is a Surprise!  NOT!

The politically aggressive Service Employees International Union (SEIU) has quietly created a national network of at least eight community-organizing groups, some of which function alongside the Occupy Wall Street movement, a Daily Caller investigation shows.

Incorporated by the SEIU as local non-profits, the groups are waging concerted local political campaigns to publicly attack conservative political figures, banks, energy companies and other corporations.

Each local group has portrayed itself as an independent community organization not tied to any special interest. But they were founded, incorporated, and led by SEIU personnel.

The individual activist groups use benign-sounding names including This Is Our DC; Good Jobs, Great Houston; Good Jobs, Better Baltimore; Good Jobs Now in Detroit; Fight for Philly; One Pittsburgh; Good Jobs LA; and Minnesotans for a Fair Economy.

In reality, they are creations of the wealthy and influential labor union, amounting to a secret network of new SEIU front groups.

Union Liberals behind the Occupy Wall Street Movement. Gee, I’m shocked! 🙂

If you think the Occupy Movement is just a bunch of smelly hippies playing drums in the park, you’re wrong. The Occupy Movement is an organized group of union leaders, academics and anarchists with one common goal: to destroy capitalism. Don’t believe it?

GAS PRICES

Now DNC Chair Wasserman-Schultz- Under Bush: She blamed Bush and his cronies in the Oil Industry for the high gas prices (going to $3.22 a gallon by the way).

May 2007: “We are now paying more than double than when President Bush took office”

Now comes the Weasel 4 days ago:“What I was referring to in that speech, as I have for many years, is that focusing on fossil fuels and continuing the ‘drill baby drill’ strategy that President Obama rightly referred to the other day in south Florida as ‘a bumper sticker, not an energy policy,’

Ohhh! Am I surprised with the about face- no!

“We are not going to address gas prices over the long-term because there is — there is no President in the short-term that can really change policy and impact gas prices in a significant way. But what we do need to do is over the short-term and long-term make sure that we are using the ‘all of the above’ strategy that President Obama has employed: more domestic energy production than we’ve had in eight years (Thanks to Bush as she says, it takes time so Obama benefits from THAT time), making sure that we invest for the future in alternative energy like wind and solar and hydroelectric power, so that we can really start to impact our need to depend on…” (Go Algaeman! Solyndra Abroad Solar, etc)

“But A lot of Americans are wondering what’s going to happen now and a lot of those things take time,” Carlson shot back.

“Affecting gas prices takes time,” Schultz acknowledged. “You’re absolutely right,”

Unless it’s Republican President then that is.

President Obama’s election-year prescription to accelerate steeply higher energy prices is to add billions of dollars to the oil companies’ tax bills. Expensive gasoline fits the Obama political template.

‘Every time you fill up the gas tank, they’re making money.” That applause line, delivered Thursday by the president from Nashua, N.H., speaks volumes about the thinking that lies at the root of this presidency.

Resentment against the successful is what Barack Obama wants to cultivate among Americans, dividing the dependents of the government, who pay no income taxes to fund it, against the nation’s private-sector producers, who finance the state’s dependency machine by paying the vast bulk of the income taxes.

Fed up with prices at your local gas station going up, up and away, past the $4 level toward $5 and even higher? The president says you should take out your frustration by telling Congress to end the perfectly reasonable oil-and-gas industry tax deductions on drilling costs and other technical aspects of production.

House Speaker John Boehner was quick to respond that “a freshman-year economics student could tell you that increasing taxes on energy production would make gas prices go up, not down.” But Obama’s crass appeal to baser instincts has nothing to do with economics — or solving problems — and everything to do with politics.

Energy Secretary Steven Chu let the cat out of the bag years ago. “Somehow,” he said in 2008, “we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.”

Why would anyone want the government to try to make oil prices skyrocket? Answer: So they can get the public to stop resisting the radical environmentalist agenda, have people accept their fate that they have to drive cars that are little better than golf carts, and ultimately convince them to keep their driving to a bare minimum. Mass transit anyone? Ever try carpooling? (IBD)

Surprise! Class Warfare…who saw that coming…. 🙂

OBAMACARE

Our friend Matt Lewis of The Daily Caller has an amusing and still quite relevant piece this weekend regarding the Supreme Court’s upcoming review of Obamacare in general and the individual mandate in particular. In it, he describes a meeting he had with Karen Harned of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) who are knee deep in the battle. She turns out to be relatively optimistic about the challenge to the law.

It’s crowded at the Caribou Coffee on 17th and L streets in Washington, but over the din of lobbyists and caffeine fiends, I ask her to sketch out the NFIB’s arguments. “What we’ve seen in all the cases,” she explains — “the one question they cannot answer is: ‘Where does it end?’”

Hers is a slippery slope argument, but that doesn’t mean questioning the government’s ability to regulate economic “inactivity” isn’t legitimate. “You could say, ‘Well it’s good for everybody to exercise — so let’s mandate everybody to join the gym.”

I stir my coffee nervously. As if the thought of being forced to (gulp!) exercise isn’t horrifying enough already, Harned continued: “It’s good for everybody to take vitamins … It’s good for people to eat five fruits and vegetables a day! — Why don’t we make all grocers give those foods away for free — and [require] more people buy broccoli?”

At first, the broccoli reference threw me, but it’s actually pertinent. During a previous trial — when appeals court Justice Laurence Silberman asked Deputy Assistant Attorney General Beth Brinkmann if requiring Americans to buy broccoli would be unconstitutional — she answered: “No. It depends.”

This may sound trite at first blush, but in the end it does seem to be the pertinent question which the justices will have to consider. I agree that “slippery slope” argument are frequent, easy targets for critics, and many are little more than straw men. But there are still some cases where they would apply, and this seems to be one of them.

Handing the federal government the power to regulate a lack of economic activity – as opposed to their recognized power to regulate some actual activity for the public good – opens up a door to a hallway which would seem to stretch to infinity. Can the President, in fact, force us to eat our peas as opposed to saying it in a rhetorical fashion?

The government’s argument would seem to be that such a mandate could be construed as being “for the common good” of society, and would save money in the long run. And while that may prove to be true, is it their place to make that determination? This smells suspiciously like the court’s decision in Kelo vs. New London when the phrase “public use” was not very subtly morphed to include “for the public benefit.” And as soon as you let Washington have the final say as to what is in your personal best interest, all bets are off.

Broccoli? I happen to like it.. sometimes. But I don’t want Washington, DC telling me to buy it. Do you? (Hot air)

The other government argument the NFIB intends to eviscerate is the free rider argument — the notion that health care mandates are vital because otherwise people will just “game” the system by refusing to pay for health care coverage while simultaneously using health services.

This, of course, is a conundrum. But the government’s “solution” would also open up a can of constitutional worms.

The government hopes to argue that the health market is unique — that the slope isn’t slippery at all. But cost shifting occurs all the time, everywhere. “We all pay in fees to our credit cards for the people who don’t pay their credit card bills,” Harned says. “We all pay in our mortgage interest for the people who default on their mortgage”…

It all comes back to this: If the government can mandate the purchase of health care insurance, what can’t they mandate?

“They could create a crisis a day if they want to,” Harned warns.

And we all know about “Never Let a Crisis go to Waste ” 🙂

Surprise! 🙂

Pro-ILLEGALS

Lawyers representing Latinos who accuse Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s office of racial profiling are asking a federal judge to block Immigration and Customs Enforcement employees from being called to testify by the sheriff’s lawyers at a trial.

Motions filed late Friday in the suit say ICE gave the sheriff’s lawyers permission to depose five ICE employees, but the depositions were never conducted.

Lawyers for the five Latinos who sued say they were therefore unable to counter with their own questions for the ICE workers. They say Arpaio’s lawyers should be barred from calling the employees to the stand.

The plaintiff’s attorneys also wrote that two other ICE agents who did give depositions have no relevant testimony and also should not be called. (AZStarnet)

This is bunk. But the Liberals and Pro-Illegals just want their side and only their side to come out and forget about the other side.
But is it a Surprise? NO!

Working On it

‘Modern liberalism has a single idea: hang on to everything they achieved in the past. They have nothing new to offer’-Charles Krauthammer

The man who made “change we can believe in” and “yes, we can” hallmarks of the 2008 presidential race is still searching for a catchy phrase to define his next campaign.

“We’re still working on it,” President Obama told ABC News’ Barbara Walters when asked about his slogan in an exclusive pre-Christmas interview.

“I think that’s a great question,” Obama said, grinning. “If those middle-schoolers have any suggestions, let me know.”  (Walters’ question had been written by a young American student and Obama admirer.)

Now that’s Change You Can Believe In!!! 🙂

“The president has responsibility for the green jobs programs where he made investments,” she said. “But the decisions that were made at Solyndra that ultimately led to their bankruptcy were those of the people who worked at Solyndra.” –DNC Chairman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz.

The $500 Million that Obama personally made sure they got even though people in the know predicted with amazing accuracy when they’d got bankrupt (within a year) means nothing. It wasn’t his money!

Margaret Thatcher once said that ‘The trouble with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money’?

But they are working on it! 🙂

Estimates are that ObamaCare will succeed in insuring 32 million otherwise uninsured people. If economic studies are correct, once these folks are insured, they will try to double their consumption of health care. On top of that, ObamaCare does something that Massachusetts did not do. It will force the vast majority of people who already have insurance to switch to more generous coverage. For example, everyone will have to be covered for a long list of preventive care and diagnostic screenings, with no copay and no deductible. Once people have this extra coverage, they will be inclined to take advantage of it.

Get prepared, then, for a huge increase in the demand for care. The result will be growing waiting lines — at the doctors’ offices, at hospital emergency rooms, at the health clinics, etc.

In the early stages of Massachusetts’ health reform, Governor Romney told me what he expected to happen. Instead of uninsured patients going to hospital emergency rooms to get expensive care in inappropriate settings (all paid for by the rest of us), he said, insured patients will be getting less expensive care in the offices of primary care doctors.

Ah, but the best laid plans …. Turns out that more people are currently seeking care in hospital emergency rooms and at publicly funded community health centers than there were before the reform! As one academic study concluded, in Massachusetts you have the same people seeking the same care at the same places you had before. Health reform has mainly meant shuffling money around from one bureaucracy to another.

When health care is rationed by waiting, who gets care and who doesn’t? Here is the real surprise. Just as ObamaCare intends to do, Massachusetts set up health insurance exchanges where the uninsured could obtain insurance, in most cases with generous government subsidies. Yet the newly insured are the patients having the greatest difficulty obtaining access to care. According to one report:

• Only 56 percent of family doctors accept patients enrolled in Commonwealth Care (subsidized insurance sold in the “exchange”).

• Only 44 percent accept patients in Commonwealth Choice (unsubsidized insurance sold in the “exchange”).

• The fraction of internists who accept Commonwealth Care and Commonwealth Choice is 43 percent and 35 percent, respectively.

In Massachusetts this is called “access to care.”

But they are still working on it.

And he needs 4 more years! 🙂

Nothing to Worry About

Nothing to worry about:

according to the US Treasury, America has closed the books on 2011 with debt at an all time record $15,222,940,045,451.09. And, as was observed here first in all of the press, US debt to GDP is now officially over 100%, or 100.3% to be specific, a fact which the US government decided to delay exposing until the very end of the calendar year. We wonder, rhetorically, just how prominent of a talking point this historic event will be in any upcoming GOP primary debates. And yes, technically this number is greater than the debt ceiling but it excludes various accounting gimmicks. When accounting for those, the US has a debt ceiling buffer of… $14 billion, or one third the size of a typical bond auction.

Nothing at all. 😦

And speaking of Nothing to worry about…

RUBBER STAMP

Probe reveals feds pressuring agents to rush immigrant visas – even if fraud is feared.

Higher-ups within U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services are pressuring rank-and-file officers to rubber-stamp immigrants’ visa applications, sometimes against the officers’ will, according to a Homeland Security report and internal documents exclusively obtained by The Daily.

A 40-page report, drafted by the Office of Inspector General in September but not publicly released, details the immense pressure immigration service officers are under to approve visa applications quickly, sometimes while overlooking concerns about fraud, eligibility or security.

One-quarter of the 254 officers surveyed said they have been pressured to approve questionable cases, sometimes “against their will.”

The report does not call out any particular officials and indicates that the agency has had a problem with valuing quantity over quality since at least the 1980s.

But high-ranking USCIS officials said the pressure has heightened after the Obama administration appointed Alejandro Mayorkas as director in August 2009 during an effort to pass comprehensive immigration reform, bringing with him a mantra of “get to yes.”

Internal communications provided to The Daily indicate that the new leadership seemed to fundamentally clash with career agency employees over when to afford the benefit of the doubt, culminating in a whistle-blower investigation into a senior appointee and, ultimately, the agency-wide inspector general inquiry that produced the report.

“We recognize their right to interpret things as liberally as possible, but you still have to follow the law,” said one high-ranking official who was unhappy with the current push.

At least five agency veterans seen as being too tough on applicants were either demoted, or given the choice between a demotion or a relocation from Southern California — where their families were — to San Francisco and Nebraska, according to sources and letters of reassignment provided to The Daily.

Those kind of threats have caused lower-level employees to fall in line, sources said.

“People are afraid,” said one longtime manager, who requested anonymity for fear of being fired. “Integrity only carries people so far because they’ve got to pay the rent.”

A rank-and-file officer who was not involved in the investigation claimed he was demoted to working on less technical cases because he had a high denial rate. “They don’t reprimand you, they just move you,” he said.

“They attempted to basically get me to come into line and approve a bunch of cases. And I just wouldn’t compromise myself because the approvals they ordered, they weren’t in line with the laws,” said the officer.

These employees’ claims are reflected in the inspector general report, which found that 14 percent of respondents had “serious concerns” that employees who focused on fraud or ineligibility were evaluated unfairly. The report also found that supervisors sometimes take cases away from an unwilling officer and assign them to someone else, against agency rules.

Recommendations for improvements in the report included raising the burden of proof and doing away with the popular informal and special appeals practices, which immigration lawyers said would only lengthen an already onerous process.

Attorney David Leopold, who was recently president of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, said the formal appeals process can take up to two years.

“When you’re dealing with business visas, those visas cannot wait around a year, or two years, for review. They needed an answer yesterday,” said Leopold. “I think when they’ve [the officers] made a mistake at that level … sometimes you can just reason with people and ask them to take a look at it again.”

Nevertheless, USCIS approved 86 percent of the 3.9 million immigration cases it reviewed between October 2008 and October 2009 — a 4 percent drop from the year before, according to the most recent data provided to The Daily.

And immigration attorneys complained that it seems like officers are just looking for reasons to deny a case, and already demand a higher standard of proof than what is required. That standard is now considered a 51 percent likelihood that a fact is true.

“We’re getting ridiculous denials and requests for evidence on things that should be approved very easily,” said immigration attorney Deb Notkin, adding that it’s particularly tough for specialty industries like fashion, software development and graphic design.

The attorneys applauded Mayorkas’ more open dialogue with them, and other proponents of immigration reform, who had previously felt shut out of the bureaucracy. “Mayorkas, to his credit, is very accessible, so we are able to express our concerns about the adjudication process,” said Leopold.

But sometimes, the openness led to a perception that private attorneys were “running” the agency, according to the inspector general’s report, which cited emails in which individual cases were granted special review after private attorneys complained to management.

Mayorkas and Homeland Security press officers said yesterday they could not comment on the allegations.

Homeland insecurity

The Daily has exclusively obtained a Homeland Security Office of Inspector General draft report on fraud detection issues within the agency’s immigration arm. The inspector general interviewed 147 managers and staff at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, or USCIS, and received 256 responses to an online survey. Here are some of the findings in the report.

“63 of 254 Immigration Services Officers (24.8%) responded that they have been pressured to approve questionable applications.”

“Several USCIS employees informed us that officers have been required to approve specific cases against their will.”
“Another 35 ISOs (13.9%) had serious concerns concerns that employees who focus on fraud or ineligibility were evaluated unfairly.”

“Cases are sometimes taken away from us and given to officers who the supervisor knows will approve the case … Another survey respondent was threatened with a formal reprimand if a case was not approved as the supervisor required.”

“… data confirm that USCIS was more likely to grant O visa status [for aliens who have extraordinary ability in science, arts, business, or athletics] incorrectly than to deny a legitimate position.”

THE DEMOCRATS

“Part of what 2012 is about is both reminding the American people of how far we’ve traveled and the concrete effects that some of our work … but part of it is also framing this larger debate about what kind of country are we going to leave for our children and our grandchildren,” Obama said.

As part of that reframing effort, Obama caricatured the GOP’s free-market policies as “a different theory that says, we’re going to cut taxes for the wealthiest among us, and roll back regulations on things like clean air and health care reform and Wall Street reform, and that somehow, automatically, that assures that everybody is able to succeed.”

“I don’t believe that” theory, said Obama, who has described himself as a progressive.

Progressives, generally speaking, believe that university-trained managers should manage people’s economic and social lives. Conservatives, including social conservatives and libertarians, object to government-imposed management of the economy and society.

Obama also framed his progressive goals in the populist language chosen for his Dec. 6 speech in Osawatomie, Kansas, saying he was fighting for “an America where [government ensured] everybody had a fair shot, everybody did their fair share; that responsibility was rewarded and that the game wasn’t fixed.”

Only he wants to fix the game in HIS favor, and for the pet projects, like solar panels and “green tech” that get’s the Obama stamp of approval. Pick the Winners and Losers, that’s “free market” to socialists like him. But he’s not going to tell you that. And neither is the media.

It’s all about soaring rhetoric and meaningless double talk about how government should run everything and everyone because after all, government bureaucrats are vastly more “fair” and being dependent on government largess and it’s beneficence is all that you really need in life after all.

Nothing to Worry about.

“If you want to compete in a free market,” he told the campaign workers, “then you should compete on the basis of price and service and quality, not on the basis of somebody not being able to understand what they’re buying,” he declared.

Unless you’re a Non-Union employer, like say, Boeing in South Carolina….

Translation: You were too stupid to understand that when the government forced the banks to lend to anyone with a pulse (because that was more “fair”) and they did it and when the people couldn’t pay it back (as everyone already knew) that was the banks fault!

Capitalists are evil, greedy, tricksters out to screw you and I’m not. 🙂

Government control of everything is much more “fair”.

Nothing to Worry About. Trust Me sssssssssssssssssssssss…….

DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz

Republicans are determined to “end Medicare as we know it,” she intoned.  When the moment presented itself, Katie jumped in to ask why Democrats continue to insist on repeating the political “lie of the year,” as determined by the typically left-leaning fact check organization, Politifact.  Wasserman Schultz, visibly perturbed, interrupted the question and launched a meandering answer that hinged on an empty distinction.  Off camera, I chimed in with two quick follow-ups — to which DWS was substantively unresponsive.  Here’s the full exchange, culminating in the Florida Congresswoman throwing in the rhetorical towel.

After reciting a few platitudes, DWS pivoted back into attack dog mode, bitterly demanding that Republicans “sit down and compromise” with Democrats to help preserve Medicare.  Well, as it happens, the very Republican she regularly demonizes has recently done exactly that.  Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin teamed up with lefty Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon to introduce bipartisan legislation that incorporates many elements of Ryan’s original proposals, while maintaining “traditional Medicare” as an option in market-driven exchanges.  It also offers a more generous benchmark for spending increases than Ryan’s 2012 budget called for — a concession to the Left.  Although many conservatives have voiced significant concerns about some of the compromise’s elements, the Wyden/Ryan plan does precisely what DWS claims to crave.  Nevertheless, the White House instantly dismissed it out of hand — they’re too invested in Mediscare as a political strategy to abide any plausible solution.  Does DWS share the president’s opposition to the break-through, consensus-building reform plan?  As the clip reveals, she wasn’t interested in answering that question.  What a surprise.

THE AGENDA IS THE AGENDA!

Nothing to Worry about. As AG Holder famously said, Lying is “complicated”. 🙂

Definition of Marxism: The economic, social, political, pseudo-scientific philosophy, theory, belief, or system based on the works of Karl Marx of Germany. The theory seeks the elimination of the notion of private property in order to gain control of the economic “means of production” by taking it from the bourgeois (the wealthy or propertied class) for the benefit of the proletariat (working class.) His philosophy of history was called “historical materialism” in which his goal was to bring about the end of history, by means of an eventual perfect, classless, utopian society he called Communism.

Under the Banner Day

Sidebar: U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, interrupted an interview with a reporter Saturday in Charleston to speak with two elementary-school age children that she quickly labeled “little Democrats.”

“We are leaving no stone unturned,” she said once she returned to the interview. (evil maniacal laughter in her head no doubt)

Yeah, that would be why they are illiterate but can grow up to “occupy wall street”. 🙂

Meanwhile, “middle class” Warrior Obama is soaking up $5,000 a plate dinner and $38,500 autographs.

It’s good to be the King.

Under the “Politics are just strange and Obama’s are stranger” category:

While plugging her new book, “Paula Deen’s Southern Cooking Bible,” the feisty TV chef took a pot shot at Michelle for gorging herself on greasy french fries, fatty hot chicken wings and sugary deep-fried Snickers bars!

“Michelle’s spitting mad,” a source told The ENQUIRER.

“She thinks Paula is trying to smear her and her family just as the 2012 presidential election race swings into gear.”

The trouble first began before Barack Obama was even elected president in 2008, when Michelle made a guest appearance on Deen’s popular “Paula’s Party” show and revealed that fried shrimp was her family’s favorite meal.

Then in an interview after filming the program, Paula quipped that Michelle would be serving high-fat, greasy and sugary foods in the White House if Obama won the election!

Now Paula is rehashing those attacks on Michelle in an attempt to plug her latest cookbook and offset Michelle’s new book about eating healthy, noted the source.

“She’s no different than the rest of us,” Paula said about Michelle in a new interview.

Paula added: “She probably ate more than any other guest I ever had on the show! She kept eating even during commercials. Know what (the Obamas’) favorite foods are? Hot wings. Y’know – those kinds of foods that aren’t necessarily top-of-the-list healthy foods.”

“Michelle now deeply regrets ever being on Paula’s show,” added the source. “There are a lot of digs she would have been able to brush off, but portraying her as a high-calorie gorger during her crusade for healthy eating is crossing the line.”(Enquirer)

The Empress has no clothes! An Obama with an over-developed since of their own sanctimony to the human race as a whole. Never… 🙂

Under “never saw this at a Tea Party rally” Because you didn’t:

Dallas Police continue to investigate whether a teenage runaway was sexually assaulted by an adult male at the Occupy Dallas encampment behind City Hall.

A source within the Dallas Police Department who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the ongoing investigation said the girl ran away from home in Garland last month and that she is now refusing to cooperate with investigators. She initially told officers that she had sex with a man in his early twenties and had engaged in sexual activity with several other people.

Some members of the group told CBS 11 the girl identified herself as a 19-year-old and never knew she was 14.

But don’t worry, to the Left and the Leftist media OWS and the Tea party are the same, except that Tea partiers are violent, angry white racists. (if you noticed the contradiction there look up Doublethink sometime-it’s a leftist favourite)

And once the weather turns cold and nasty, especially in the North, will the OWSers go back to their parent’s basements or will the Left adopt them and build them little Hoovervilles?  We’ll see.

The media would like the imagery. I guess the left could fund them. (Think about that for moment, then laugh cynically).

An anti-capitalist group which sparked the Occupy Wall Street movement has called for global protests Saturday to demand that leaders of the Group of 20 (G20) nations impose a “Robin Hood tax” on financial transactions and currency trades.Canada-based Adbusters wants the Occupy Wall Street protest movement against economic inequality to take to the streets to call for a 1 percent tax on such deals ahead of a Nov. 3-4 summit of the G20 leading economies in France.“Let’s send them a clear message: We want you to slow down some of that $1.3 trillion easy money that’s sloshing around the global casino each day—enough cash to fund every social program and environmental initiative in the world,” the activist group said on its website.

So OWS in the US was started by Canadians. Gee, the Democrats can’t even create no-job jobs!:)

The Double Standard and Naked Partisanship revealed (not that the Left or Leftist Media will care):

While the New York Times was hypersensitive to any signs of racial prejudice among the massive, peaceful Tea Party protests, reporter Joseph Berger raised and dismissed the idea of anti-Semitism at Occupy Wall Street, in Saturday’s “Cries of Anti-Semitism, But Not at Zuccotti Park.”

Just two of many references: Reporter David Herszenhorn assumed racism was a force in the movement in an April  1, 2010 podcast: “One is clearly there’s a racial component. Some members of Congress you know, had epithets hurled at them as protesters marched around the Capitol on the day of the big House vote.” Those claims have never been substantiated. On July 18, 2010 Matt Bai reported about fictional “hateful 25-year-olds” at Tea Party rallies.

By contrast, reporter Berger played strong defense for OWS against the anti-Semitism allegations.

Among the hodgepodge of signs that have sprouted in Zuccotti Park in Lower Manhattan, one man in jeans and a baseball cap has been carrying placards that shout their suggestions: “Google: Jewish Billionaires” and “Google: Zionists control Wall St.”

Gee, during the Tea Party Media heyday 1 guy from the SEIU who would show up with a racist sign would draw 100% of the media’s attention. That one person was totally indicative of the movement.

The guy who got beat up BY an SEIU guy at a rally in St. Louis wasn’t.

Fascinating…

At the same time, among the sea of tarps under which protesters have been sleeping, a sukkah, a makeshift hut, was erected to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.

While Berger’s story was accompanied by three positive photos of Jews at OWS, it didn’t have room for the widely available shot of the “Google Jewish Billionaires” sign (above).

The Occupy Wall Street protests, now in their second month, have increasingly been criticized by a variety of groups, most of them politically conservative, for flashes of anti-Semitism. Among those calling attention to the issue have been the Republican National Committee, Rush Limbaugh and the columnist William Kristol.

But the protests have also, on occasion, had a distinctly Jewish flavor: The encampment has coincided with the busy Jewish holiday season and has witnessed, in its midst or on its edges, a crowded Kol Nidre service on Yom Kippur, festive dancing with a scroll on Simchat Torah on Thursday night, and the sukkah.

The protesters, clustered together in a kind of ad hoc Athenian democracy in the canyons of Lower Manhattan, firmly deny that their demonstrations against corporate greed and the political power of banks exhibit antagonism that singles out Jews.

“You’re going to get a few wackos,” said Aaron Moses Miller, 25, a slender, unemployed man from Ridgewood, Queens, who had been in the park for 16 days. “You can’t help it in a population of this size.”

Mr. Miller, who is Jewish, said that he had not seen the man holding the anti-Semitic signs, but said: “If I had seen him, I would have said something to him. My name is Aaron Moses Miller.”

Jeff Smith, 41, part of the press team for Occupy Wall Street, assailed those who he said ascribed the views of one sign-holder to the entire movement.

But one sign of like kind at a Tea party Rally WAS indicative of the movement was it not? 🙂

That bolded sentence above is ironic, given the media’s treatment of random signs and outbursts by Tea Party protesters as emblematic of the entire movement.

But much as the Tea Party movement initially grappled with accusations of racism, Occupy Wall Street has been consistently confronted with accusations of anti-Semitism. Several conservative Web sites and television programs have shown video of the sign-holder, as well as of a woman at an allied demonstration in Los Angeles who identified herself as a public school teacher and decried “Zionist Jews who are running the big banks and the Federal Reserve.”

These conservative critics have urged President Obama and Representative Nancy Pelosi, the House Democratic leader, to retract their expressions of support for the Wall Street protests.

“Democrats were quick to single out any instances of perceived extremism among Tea Party supporters,” Sean Spicer, the communications director of the Republican National Committee, said in a statement on Tuesday. “But with Occupy Wall Street, they turn a blind eye.”

An Oct. 13 article on the Web site of Commentary, a politically conservative magazine founded by the American Jewish Committee, though no longer affiliated with it, argued that “it isn’t just a few crackpots engaging in anti-Semitism.” The article said that the “main organizer behind the movement — Adbusters editor Kalle Lasn — has a history of anti-Jewish writing.”

Berger didn’t outline the specifics of Alana Goodman’s post: “Back in 2004, he wrote a highly controversial Adbusters article entitled ‘Why Won’t Anyone Say They Are Jewish?’ which peddled some of the more feverish theories about American Jews, neoconservatism, and the Bush administration…”

Berger followed up:

Mr. Lasn did not return a message left on his Adbusters office voice mail in Vancouver, British Columbia. But Patrick Bruner, another member of the Occupy Wall Street press team, said the magazine Adbusters had helped prompt the protest movement with a call for action but otherwise had “not been active at all.” He said the Occupy Wall Street movement rejected any kind of racism or hatred, but also was “open source,” meaning that anyone could take part.

Odd, given that just last week a Times reporter credited Adbusters with launching the movement! (and they are Canadian!)

More defense: Berger then claimed that “Jewish groups that have sensitive antennas for eruptions of bigotry have not criticized the protesters,” making reference to Abraham Foxman of the Anti-Defamation League, who said there were some “manifestations in the movement of anti-Semitism, but they are not expressing or representing a larger view.” (MRC)

The Oncoming Storm

No, this is not about the The Tenth Doctor… 🙂

CNN’s Candy Crowley’s questions repeatedly sought to paint Bachmann as an extremist.

“What are your credentials to move towards the center?” she asked. “Tea party people are seen [in polls] as uncompromising … doesn’t that put you outside the mainstream? … The impression is that people supported by the tea party don’t compromise.”

Well, when “compromise” to a Liberal means you give them everything want and nothing meaningful you want., yeah I guess so.

Next, we’ll bite the heads off live chickens!

It’s just the early rounds of the Democrats tired old strategy, “Vote me the other guy (or gal) is an asshole/extremist!!”

The fact that I’m much worse than they are doesn’t matter.

Perception matters. And with 24/7/365 that’s a lot of perception.

Welcome to Orwell’s nightmare!

DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz

Question: “You have called Paul Ryan’s plan a ‘death trap for seniors,’  even though it explicitly excluded current and soon-to-be seniors.  As a 26-year-old, I see the Medicare actuaries say that Medicare as we know it is going to go bankrupt and become insolvent in 13 years.  I’m wondering what your, and your party’s plan specifically is, to avoid that fate?”

Part One: DWS says Democrats have already extended Medicare’s lifespan by eight years.  They’ve accomplished this, mind you, by cutting half-a-trillion in supposed inefficiencies, waste, and abuse out of the system.  Two problems.  First, they turned right around and double-applied those not-yet-realized “savings” as “found” funding for their brand new health care entitlement program.  As Paul Ryan has explained, it’s an accounting gimmick of the highest order to count the same $500 Billion as both a means to lengthen Medicare’s solvency, and as a funding mechanism for Obamacare.  Second, the Medicare trustees’ report I cite in my question (linked above) already takes into account these alleged “savings” — and stillconcludes that Medicare will go belly-up by 2024.
Part Two: Pressed for a specific plan for achieving future savings, DWS assures me that Medicare can be saved by identifying and eliminating “waste fraud and abuse.”  I could decry the unseriousness of this “plan,” but I think I’ll let someone else do the honors:

“Politicians are often eager to feed the impression that solving the problem is just a matter of eliminating waste and abuse –that tackling the deficit issue won’t require tough choices.”

That quote comes from an April speech delivered by noted right-wing operative Barack H. Obama. Why, it’s almost as if he knew that four months later, a rascally politician would eagerly attempt to feed the impression that the coming Medicrash can be solved by eliminating waste and abuse.  (In fairness to DWS, Obama actually resorted to this line of fantastical thinking later in the same speech).

But let’s tease this out anyway.  Let’s assume for a moment that truly massive and systemic waste, fraud, and abuse does exist in Medicare.  For argument’s sake, let’s say that a ludicrously-high 20 percent of all Medicare payments are fraudulent or wasteful.  Let’s also give Democrats the benefit of the doubt that they really would implement a flawless strategy to excise every last dime of that abuse.  Medicare’s unfunded liabilities (ie, unpaid-for future promises) were estimated at $74 Trillion in 2008.  This hypothetical and breathtakingly efficient waste/fraud/abuse reduction campaign would drop that number to about $60 Trillion.  This is not a solution. Plus, as the president admitted in April, everyone knows this “strategy” is pretty much a joke.  Democrats triumphantly claim they’ve already eliminated half-a-trillion bucks in Medicare waste.  The notion that they could find trillions more, and would follow through on rigorously rooting it out, is laugh-out-loud preposterous.

Part Three – “Working together” to find “other ways to bring cost down.”  Well, I guess we can all go home now!  The Party that has taken to branding its ideological opponents as “terrorists” will soberly facilitate a “let’s hold hands and work together” mystery masterstroke to save Medicare.  Problem solved.  One last question, though: Where and when might this bipartisan solutions binge occur?  At the very end of the clip, DWS tells me she places her faith in the newly-formed Super Committee – which is comprised of six Democrats who are opposed to significant Medicare changes.  But I’m sure things will work out just fine.  With that, Wasserman Schultz was whisked away by her handlers.  Shortly thereafter, a Democratic official approached me and tersely asked, “who are you with?”

The looming destruction of “Medicare as we know it” – the unsustainable fee-for-service model – is no laughing matter.  If you have any doubts whatsoever about the existence or validity of this rapidly-accelerating death spiral, click here, here, here, and here.  Once you’ve come to terms with the magnitude of the problem, take a second look at Paul Ryan’s solution, watch this video again, and draw your own conclusions about which side is genuinely and pro-actively striving to save the social safety net.

But don’t worry, the other guys an EXTREMIST!!! :0

UPDATE – One word DWS didn’t use, but what would undoubtedly be a central element of Democrats’ comprehensive plan to save Medicare (if they had one): Rationing.

p.s.  Economics:

it’s simple.

If no one is buying there is nothing to sell and if there is nothing to sell, then you don’t need the employees and if you don’t need the employees they are unemployed and not working so they aren’t buying.
No sales, no production, no production no employee, no employee no increasing income, no increasing income no sales, and on and on.

And the Circle around the toilet bowl continues.

Unemployment still tops 9%. Private-sector businesses may have more than $1 trillion in cash, but they will be scared into not hiring or buying as long as they fear a new tax, a new regulation, a new entitlement obligation, a new plant shutdown — or a new harangue. (VDH)

But at least you didn’t vote for the “extremist” 🙂

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), chair of the Democratic National Committee, said Wednesday that House Republicans are trying to impose “dictatorship” through their tactics in the debt-ceiling negotiations. She said the GOP rhetoric could “spark panic and chaos,” which she called “potentially devastating” to the economy.

The chair telephoned POLITICO to express “significant disappointment in where … Republicans have allowed this debate to degenerate.”

This would be from the sky-is-falling, grandma-off-a-cliff, you’re-going-to-starve,We-aren’t-going-to-pay-our-bills even though we have the money for at least because we want to spread fear and panic…  fearmongering Democrats!!

Yeah, proposing solutions and having the Democrats freak out and refuse to even bring them up for a vote or have the President threaten to Veto anything they pass sure makes them the problem!!

The ones who have no plan (Democrats). Have not passed a Budget in 820 days!

They just go crazy with “Get him! The other guy is an asshole!”

So are you that easily manipulated? Are you?

“Aren’t we at the point where the closer we get to chaos, the more concern that there should be about coming to the table and compromising with Democrats?” Wasserman Schultz asked. “This is not leadership. This is almost like dictatorship. I know they want to force the outcome that … their extremists would like to impose. But they are getting ready to spark panic and chaos, and they seem to be OK with that. And it’s just really disappointing, and potentially devastating.”

Remember, “compromise” to a Democrat is shut up, sit down, agree with everything we want.

The DNC chair said: “They start the day with trying to incite their caucus with, essentially, violent movie clips – pushing their people to inflict pain and hurt people.”

After all, Right winger are “terrorists”.

Wasserman Schultz continued: “What should be happening is what we’ve been ready to do for months. Ideally, what should be happening is a big deal – a big solution for a big problem, as the president has pushed for. At this point, it’s probable that we’re too close to the breaking point on Tuesday for that to happen.

The Republicans passed one. You demagogued it, you refused to vote on it.

Whoopsie!

And the Republicans are going to propose another one that the President says he will veto.

Whoops again!

But don’t worry, the Liberal Media covered it up for you.

“At the very least, we should come to the table and hammer out a compromise that has the balance in it that the overwhelming majority of the American people want – and not just pile all the pain on seniors, on children, on the middle class and working families.

“balance” = TAX INCREASES! 😦

Democrats never go anywhere without their CLASS WARFARE CARD! 🙂

“It’s just shockingly irresponsible that the closer we get to the breaking point here, the more irresponsible – and the closer they are to pushing us to chaos, as if that is the desired outcome.”

That is the Democrats desire outcome. In psychology this is called transference.

The Democrats don’t want a plan. They don’t want to pass a plan. They just want to you to blame the Republicans when they prevent it from happening.

Wasserman Schultz concluded: “We’ve been sitting at the compromise table for a long time. We’re just waiting for that cold chair to be warmed up by the Republican leadership. They still have time to do the right thing and be responsible. They just seem to be moving further and further away from it.”

“compromise” = Do it our way or we’ll make sure you take the blame for it!
