Gunning For You

ironyRobert Gehl reports that House Democrats are still staging their ridiculous sit-in, feigning mock indignation because Speaker Paul Ryan refuses to cave and allow a vote to strip Americans of their constitutional rights if they’re put on a secret government list.

Because that’s what it is, really.

The liberal media will tell you Republicans are in the NRA’s back pocket – that they’re doing their bidding. They’ll say the Democrats are “courageous” and “inspiring.” What nonsense.

Here’s what’s courageous: Standing up in defense of due process in the face of withering attacks from all sides. Even the GOP presidential candidate is wiggly on the issue.

It is not courageous to stand up (or sit down) against the constitution, against due process and against one of America’s core concepts: Innocent until proven guilty.

But with Liberal they want you to be Guilty first. Big Brother wants you to be guilty, because then you can’t possibly be innocent.

Innocence can’t happen if you commit a Thoughtcrime. And a Thoughtcrime is disagreeing with your Liberal Lord & masters. They know all. They see All. They are all.

Those House Democrats really had it rough Wednesday night. They had to sit on the floor – for hours. It’s true, during their gun control sit-in on Capitol Hill, liberal lawmakers were making themselves out to be social justice martyrs.

Now, after the fact, we have plenty of evidence to suggest it was all just a fundraising stunt and they were using the Orlando tragedy for political gain – but at the time they tried to pretend they were making a difference.  For Rep. Norma Torres (D-CA), she let her Twitter followers know she was even battling the elements during the protest.

They had catered means and armed guards (with REAL guns)also.

“We shall overcome”…Disgraceful. Disgusting. But the Liberal lap dogs will eat up like crack cocaine.

“We’re not going to take away a citizen’s constitutional rights without due process,” Ryan said on CNN.

NEVER LET A CRISIS GO TO WASTE… 🙂

You can call it a “terrorist watch list” or a “middle-school honor roll,” but giving the government the authority to strip any American of any of their unalienable rights without due process is unconstitutional and anti-American.

No matter to Democrats. They think they have a winning issue here. Listen to Rep. John Lewis, a civil rights legend:

“What is the tipping point? Are we blind? Can we see? How many more mothers, how many more fathers need to shed tears of grief before we do something?” exclaimed Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., who kicked off the sit-in. “We have been too quiet for too long. There comes a time when you have to say something, when you have to make a little noise, when you have to move your feet. This is the time. Now is the time to get in the way. The time to act is now. We will be silent no more.”

“Shame! SHAME!” They shouted from the floor at Republicans.

Here’s how USA today played it:

“I am prepared to stay here until hell freezes over,’’ Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., said. “We’re here because we can’t take it anymore … We can’t take burying our young people.”

Rep, G.K. Butterfield, D-N.C., who is chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, said Republicans calling the demonstration a stunt, “is really an insult.’’

“Write this date down — June 22. It’s the beginning of a movement,” he said. “This is just the beginning.’’

Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn, who led the nearly 15-hour filibuster in the Senate, went over to the House floor to show his support.

“This is an extraordinary tactic,” he said as he headed into the chamber shortly after noon. But, he added, “This is an exceptional time.”

House Republicans must not cave to these demands. We can never give up our cherished right to due process in the guise of being “safer.”

Another attempt at gun control faltered in the U.S. Congress on Thursday despite outrage at the Orlando massacre, as a proposed ban on firearms sales to people being monitored for links to terrorism barely avoided being killed in the Senate. (The Liberal Repulicans attempted a “compromise”).

We all know it was the Gun’s Fault!

“It’s not a struggle that lasts for one day, or one week, or one month, or one year,” said Representative John Lewis, a Democrat from Georgia and a key figure in the civil rights protests of the 1960s. “We’re going to win the struggle,” said Lewis, who led the House sit-in.

We Will Take away your Fifth & 14th Amendment’s “Due Process Clause” rights eventually because we all know everyone is Guilty and Big Brother is Watching you.

Then we can do the 2nd, and the 1st, and the 10th…etc.

FREEDOM IS SLAVERY

Clause 39 of Magna Carta provided:

No free man shall be seized or imprisoned, or stripped of his rights or possessions, or outlawed or exiled, or deprived of his standing in any other way, nor will we proceed with force against him, or send others to do so, except by the lawful judgment of his equals or by the law of the land.
The Fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution provides:

[N]or shall any person . . . be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law . . . .

Section One of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution provides:

[N]or shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law . . .

Unless you get in the way of the Liberal Agenda, then you’re shit…Because you are obviously Guilty…

Especially if Queen Hillary gets to appoint a Progressive Socialist Majority on The Supreme Court!

And Paul Ryan is right: The core issue is whether to deny a fundamental right to people who have not been convicted of anything. They’re on a list, created by the executive branch, that is completely secret. People on the list are never told why, never given an explanation, and have no right to challenge their status.

Because Big Brother is Watching you!!! Thoughtcrime is Death!
