In Dependence

A new Rasmussen poll shows 61 percent continue to have a favorable opinion of Chick-fil-A, while only 13 percent are likely to join a boycott of the chain.

Man, that’s a lot of Bigots! 🙂

Now on to the fun…

The Senate Budget Committee Republican staff under Ranking Member Jeff Sessions [R-AL] on Wednesday released this depressing chart:

Are you serious? Over 110,000,000* in the U.S. are currently receiving some form of government welfare?

“[S]ince 2000 Medicaid has increased from 34 million people to 54 million in 2011 and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, or food stamps) from 17 million to 45 million in 2011,” according to a statement released on Wednesday by Sen. Sessions’ office.

But don’t worry, it’s Bush’s Fault (and by extension Romney’s Fault)!!!
Everything is fine.
And you don’t want to go back to doing the “old” way now do you? 🙂

But here’s our favorite part: “Spending on food stamps alone is projected to reach nearly $800 billion over the next decade.”

Oh, $800 billion. Great, that’s, uh, swell.

The statement continues:

These figures include not only citizens, but non-citizens as well. For instance, USDA has acknowledged a formal partnership with Mexico to boost food stamp enrollment amongst non-citizens, migrant workers and foreign nationals.  In a ‘radio novela’ USDA even depicted an individual who resisted food stamp enrollment (saying her husband earned enough to take care of them) but who was successfully pressured into enrollment.

Yep. Non-citizens enrolled in the Mexico-U.S. food stamp program. That is all.

*From Sen. Sessions Office: “These figures do not include other means-tested benefits such as the Earned Income Tax Credit or the health insurance premium subsidies included in the President’s health care law.”

“USDA has an agreement with Mexico to promote American food assistance programs, including food stamps, among Mexican Americans, Mexican nationals and migrant communities in America,” the Daily Caller reports.

“USDA and the government of Mexico have entered into a partnership to help educate eligible Mexican nationals living in the United States about available nutrition assistance,” the USDA explains on its web page.

“Mexico will help disseminate this information through its embassy and network of approximately 50 consular offices.”

But don’t worry, Obama issued an Executive Fiat that said the welfare reforms made 15 years ago are worthless. Now doesn’t that make you feel better.

The USDA says they aren’t pandering to Illegals, but what other poor Mexican Nationals are in this country that would need food stamps? And if you ask, won’t the left think you’re “racially profiling”??

Obama is doing a great job of making everyone equal, EQUALLY POOR.
