MR CAMPAIGN MODE

Barack Obama has already held more re-election fundraising events than every elected president since Richard Nixon combined, according to figures to be published in a new book.

Obama is also the only president in the past 35 years to visit every electoral battleground state in his first year of office. (on Taxpayer money not campaign money).

The figures, contained a in a new book called The Rise of the President’s Permanent Campaign , give statistical backing to the notion that Obama is more preoccupied with being re-elected than any other commander-in-chief of modern times.

Obama had held 104 fundraisers by March 6th this year, compared to 94 held by Presidents Carter, Ronald Reagan, George Bush Snr, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush combined.

And still has 6 months to go!

Since then, Obama has held another 20 fundraisers, bringing his total to 124. Carter held four re-election fundraisers in the 1980 campaign, Reagan zero in 1984, Bush Snr 19 in 1992, Clinton 14 in 1996 and Bush Jnr 57 in 2004. (KFYI)

All Hail the Campaigner-In-Chief!
Alinsky Rule 1: Power is not only what you have, but what an opponent thinks you have. If your organization is small, hide your numbers in the dark and raise a din that will make everyone think you have many more people than you do.
So Obama makes it look like he has a chance in states he doesn’t just to make people think he does and waste time and money on it.
And besides, he’s going for the naive and the stupid anyhow.
WATCHING THE WATCHERS
Embarrassed by a prostitution scandal, the Secret Service will assign chaperones on some trips to enforce new rules of conduct that make clear that excessive drinking, entertaining foreigners in their hotel rooms and cavorting in disreputable establishments are no longer tolerated.

So these highly trained, professional adults need a “chaperone” because they are too immature to be professional on the job or mature enough off the job?
Wow!
“Mom, can I invite this hooker up to my hotel run fun of classified information!!?
“NO!”
“Ah, Mom, you never let me do anything!” 😦
It must be the Republicans
🙂
HOPE & CHANGE HOUSING
The Housing market is likely to remain weak and may take a generation or more to rebound, Yale economics professor Robert Shiller told Reuters Insider on Tuesday.Shiller, the co-creator of the Standard & Poor’s/Case-Shiller home price index, said a weak labor market, high gas prices and a general sense of unease among consumers was outweighing low mortgage rates and would likely keep a lid on prices for the foreseeable future.

“I worry that we might not see a really major turnaround in our lifetimes,” Shiller said.

The S&P/Case-Shiller composite index of 20 metropolitan areas gained 0.2 percent in February on a seasonally adjusted basis, the first uptick in prices in 10 months.

But Shiller called it “a very mixed bag.” Nine of the 20 cities recorded falling or flat prices on the month.

He said suburban areas in particular might endure further price declines as high gas prices increase demand for “walkable cities.”

MORE LIBERAL COMEDY
Jimmy Kimmel: “Democrats would like you to stick to your guns. And if you don’t have any guns, you can ask Eric Holder to get some for you.”
Liberal Bastion – Chicago Tribune: To the shock of most sentient beings, Facts died Wednesday, April 18, after a long battle for relevancy with the 24-hour news cycle, blogs and the Internet. Though few expected Facts to pull out of its years-long downward spiral, the official cause of death was from injuries suffered last week when Florida Republican Rep. Allen West steadfastly declared that as many as 81 of his fellow members of theU.S. House of Representatives are communists.
“It’s very depressing,” said Mary Poovey, a professor of English at New York University and author of “A History of the Modern Fact.” “I think the thing Americans ought to miss most about facts is the lack of agreement that there are facts. This means we will never reach consensus about anything. Tax policies, presidential candidates. We’ll never agree on anything.”
Liberal facts: Global Warming, Raising Taxes is good for everyone, Unemployment stimulates the economy….Oh, and the Republicans “obstruct” because they keep passing bills that the Democrats ignore.
Gov. Mike Huckabee 2009: I’m sad to report today a death of a good friend to all of us…..Journalism, the once esteemed 4th estate of our nation and the protector of our freedoms and a watchdog of our rights has passed away after a long struggle with a crippling and debilitating disease of acute dishonesty aggravated by advanced laziness and the loss of brain function.

Journalism once proudly patrolled our society and sought to tell us the stories that informed and sometimes inspired us.  They also presented the news that would irritate us—and the irritation was not over the delivery, but the content as corruption and misdeeds were revealed.

In recent years, journalism had grown increasingly dependent on spin-doctor spoonfeeding and the circular and insular quoting of other journalists instead of attempting to locate and quote actual first person sources.  I told you a couple of weeks ago about how the NY Times, Newsweek, Time, and other media outlets took words I said on my radio commentary and instead of quoting them, summarized them and then distributed them.  Bloggers and other supposedly professional journalists then took those already distorted interpretations, treated them as sources, and added their own spices.  Newsweek even had the audacity to use quote marks around a statement never even uttered as if it were my actual words.

While providing cover for President Obama and many of his contradictory statements, several practicing journalists broke their arms patting themselves on the back and broke their legs tripping over their own words.  The fall brought about serious head injuries rendering the profession with only a minimal brain function.  Despite heroic efforts at the White House to show tender and thoughtful love to friendly reporters, journalism has slipped from the news pages of major papers.
Survivors include the American people, who long ago stopped buying the ink-stained drivel that smeared the pages of paper and the people who attempted to read it.  No memorial is planned as the practitioners of propaganda seem to be unaware that they have passed away and continue to publish anyway.
Chicago Tribune: “Anybody can express an opinion on a blog or any other outlet and there’s no system of verification or double-checking, you just say whatever you want to and it gets magnified. It’s just kind of a bizarre world in which one person’s opinion counts as much as anybody else’s.”
MSNBC, NBC, Media Matters, Huffington Post, Daily Kos, anyone on the Left?
Anyone??
Sorry, those were “factual”… 🙂

In early February, Politico reported that the Obama campaign, hoping to rekindle enthusiasm among young voters, was “looking to revive the cool appeal.” Then, suddenly, news stories started popping up about Obama’s alleged coolness, in contrast to that drip Romney. A sampling:

• President Obama: The cool factor

• ‘Cool’ Obama Returns GOP Fire on Gas Prices

• Obama: The new King of Cool

• Barack Obama is cool. Mitt Romney is not. What does it mean for 2012?

• Campaigning for the ‘Cool’ Vote

• The Obama-Romney ‘Cool Gap’

• The Ned Flanders of Politics: Romney Isn’t Cool

• Obama On Late Night Too Cool For Cool?

• Obama, Jimmy Fallon and the race for cool

Nor did the press bother to mention how the left-wing Fallon was last seen sandbagging Michele Bachmann when he had his band play “Lyin’ Ass Bitch” as she walked on stage. Civility police, anyone?
Ah, but who has time to worry about such trivialities when you’re busy looking for new ways to advance Obama’s I’m-cool-and-Romney’s-not story line? (IBD)
Rep West: Responding to a question about his comments, the Florida Republican doubled down on his accusation, saying that instead of calling themselves “communist,” they now call themselves “progressive.”
“At the turn of the century American communists renamed themselves progressives,” West explained on Tuesday. “There’s a very thin line between communism, progressivism, Marxism, socialism or even as Mark Levin has said statism.”
“Calling fellow members of Congress ‘communists’ is reminiscent of the days when Joe McCarthy divided Americans with name-calling and modern-day witch hunts that don’t advance policies to benefit people’s lives,” Congressional Progressive Caucus co-Chairs Reps. Raúl M. Grijalva and Keith Ellison wrote in the statement.
(ABC News)
Rep. Grijalva 2010:There are new developments on the business front of the immigration debate including concerned contractors and a state official calling for a business boycott.

The surprising call for a boycott of Arizona came Tuesday from Representative Raul Grijalva, who represents southern Arizona in the United States Congress. He had some advice to businesses: “Refrain from using Arizona as a convention sight spending their dollars in Arizona until Arizona turns the clock forward instead of backwards.”

Boycott my constituents!
Now that’s “representing” at it’s finest.
Grijalva continued to denounce the law, calling it “racially motivated.”
So he’s the perfect person to talk about inflammatory statements!
And the media played it down.

DRESS

The family of a paralyzed Afghanistan veteran is going head-to-head with a Texas school district over pro-military t-shirts that apparently landed two their elementary school children in trouble.

The shirts, which have the logo of an organization that provides homes and support for wounded veterans, apparently violate Masters Elementary School’s dress code.

Josie Perez-Gorda, the mother of Savannah, a first-grader, and Taylor, a fourth-grader, said that her daughters were wearing shirts from the Homes For Our Troops organization. The family’s connection to the group is a very personal one.

The group, with a self-proclaimed mission of “helping those who have selflessly given to our country and have returned home with serious disabilities and injuries since September 11, 2001,” may be providing housing assistance to Perez-Gorda’s family. Her husband, Army Spc. Justin Perez-Gorda, was injured when he encountered a road-side bomb in Afghanistan.

The mother maintains that her girls should have been permitted to wear the shirts in honor of both their father and the organization without incident.

“These guys are fighting for our country and they should be able to wear something that honors their parents, especially if they are wounded,” she said.

The school district, though, claims that the girls have been in trouble for violating dress regulations numerous times before. Additionally, a spokesperson for the Judson Independent School District emphasized the need for continuity. Currently, the dress code requires that students, grades pre-K through eighth, wear a Polo-styled shirt (any color is permissible) or a shirt with a college or JISD campus spirit logo.

“We do have a standardized dress code,” proclaimed spokeswoman Aubrey Chancellor. “We certainly support the military, but we do have to be consistent across the board when it comes to following the dress code.”

Chancellor urged the family to attend a school board meeting if they wish to see the school’s dress code amended.

Wanna test that with Army, Navy or West Point College shirts?

Or maybe an American Flag on Cinco De Mayo. 🙂

Comedy in the Eye

Obama Humor (?) from White House Correspondence Dinner (a Ministry of Truth yuck fest):

Obama also took a shot at the Republican congressional leadership, whom he thanked “for taking time from their exhausting schedule of not passing any laws” to attend the dinner.

Yeah, like the Student Loan Rate modification that you want to veto because it doesn’t raise taxes and you want to use as a campaign issue rather than solve.

The over 3 years since the US Senate approved a budget.

Very funny, Mr. President. I’m laughing so hard…

The same News Media: ABC News reporter Terry Moran stated that the issue before the court is: “Does Arizona have the constitutional right to make its own immigration law?” This followed anchor Diane Sawyer’s statement in the same news segment that the issue before the justices is “whether people in this country can be stopped by the police [and] asked to prove they are here legally if the police have other reasons to be suspicious of them.” (DC)

The same old lie. But the liberals believe it, so it must be true. 🙂

Jon Lovitz (of SNL fame Talking to Kevin Smith):

“This whole thing with Obama saying the rich don’t pay their taxes is fucking bullshit, and I voted for the guy and I’m a Democrat. What a fucking asshole,” Lovitz said.

“First they say … ‘You can do anything you want. Go for it.’ So then you go for it, and then you make it, and everyone’s like, ‘Fuck you,’” Lovitz said. “[Obama] is the perfect example. He’s amazing. He had nothing … and the guy ends up being at Harvard. He’s the president of the United States. And now he’s like,  ‘Fuck me and everybody who made it like me.’”

Later on in the podcast when Lovitz’s diatribe against Obama really started to heat up, Smith suggested that the government would come and shut down the podcast.

“They’re gonna come in and shut this place down, man. They’re gonna be like: ‘We heard the fourth fucking episode. You won’t leave Obama alone.’ This is an election year, man … they’re gonna come in and make an example of you, man,” Smith said. “The government can do that. They can take your shit away.”

As Smith goaded Lotivz, the lights in the theater abruptly turned off. Smith said, “Whoa, what the fuck happened? Oooh. The government’s here. They turned the lights off!” (DC)

Probably the IRS, The EPA, or the TSA.
Now that’s comedy. 🙂

This Jewish Democrat millionaire comedian earned his fortune by “working his ass off.” In the America that he grew up in, he was told that he could accomplish anything through hard work. His boyhood mentors encouraged him to “go for it,” and he did. And they were right. Through hard work, Lovitz achieved fame, riches and wild success. And after three years of being vilified for that achievement, Jon Lovitz has had enough. He’s disgusted with President Obama.

Why?

Lovitz voted for Obama. He still refers to himself as a Democrat. Presumably, he agrees with Obama on most issues and policy. So why stand in the way of your party in an election year? Lovitz clearly takes Obama’s attacks on the rich personally, but he also sees something sinister and threatening in our president’s class warfare stew.

Beyond traditional party differences, there’s always been a common thread in American politics. Our leaders champion success.

All of the great liberal icons (and every good president in our nation’s history) believed that the greatness of America was due to the greatness of Americans. Our wealth was not due to natural resources or geography or happenstance, and certainly not to our politicians. Our best leaders have always known that future hope and prosperity flows from the utterly unique can-do spirit of our citizens. Enterprise has always been revered by our leaders. Until Obama.

American success is not a triumphant colossus moving in a prescribed, unified motion. American success is a scrappy, buzzing, chaotic mountain of individual strivers leaving wealth in their wake as they make their next move. When President Obama demonizes the most successful of our strivers, he’s not making the world fairer. He’s discouraging the act of striving.

Americans do not hate the rich. They want to join them. Though our citizens’ political parties differ on where wealth should be allocated, the majority of Americans still know that wealth must be created by individuals before it is redistributed. And, as a corollary, rich people are heroes — to be emulated, not degraded.

Jon Lovitz’s wonderful rant was like the scream of a tea kettle. He may have just piped up the other day, but the water has been boiling for a while. His denunciation of anti-rich propaganda is a rejection of Obama’s benighted vision of America. And though many on the right will cheer Lovitz in the coming days, he speaks for a much broader swath of his countrymen. (Yates Walker)

Obama wants to redistribute the “rich’s” wealth (just liberal rich people) to the poor so that they have “fair” shot at being “rich” so he can call them greedy bastards and take their money and give it to the new poor that aren’t now rich and start the cycle all over again.
Whatta guy!
So remember kids, under Obama, if you can make money, either be a liberal where there are no rules or be careful not to make too much or you’ll be a rich, greedy, racist bastard who needs to be destroyed .
“America, what a country!” as 80’s comedian Yakov Smirnoff said often.
The Super-PAC donor Bill Maher: “The other question I would like to ask is does he think he is more successful than Barack Obama? Do you? Barack Obama was born of a single mother on food stamps and he became the first black president of the racist states of America. And Mitt Romney is the son of a rich dad and now he’s a rich dad. Who really is more successful?”

Profound, dude….Profoundly ignorant…

Obama’s team has multiple web-sites, grass roots groups, and constituencies that are collaborating against and outing people because of they’re lack of support for President Obama and his policies. The sites throw around terms like “criminal” when the only crime any of them commit is not believing that the sun rises and sets with the current administration.

Long a tactic of the politically elite left, outing big donors Team Obama appears to be dedicated to stop the flow of cash going to the only reputable challenger left in the race. How very cold-war socialist of him.

It’s no surprise, we saw him lecture the Supreme Court justices openly to their face in the State of the Union address to the nation.

This week it was also reported that campaign personnel have been shadowing the movements of Fla. Senator Marco Rubio, as the first term Senator is attempting to gain positive ground on the very tough issue of illegal immigration. The Obama operatives even calling activists in the Latino communities to attempt to smear the Senator’s efforts and to debunk his motives for desiring to find a solution.

Funny… I thought that’s what President Obama had promised us–solutions. Solutions that would return unemployment to under 8%, when in reality it is closer to 12% (when the shrinkage of the pool of workers eliminated from the numbers for giving up finding work is taken into consideration).

The White House is in a heap of trouble. Their Attorney General may be charged with contempt of Congress at any moment. Their biggest legislative success would be repealed in a heartbeat if 53% of the nation had its way. Their attempts at correcting a bad economy have made it insufferably worse. And now they are making threats, some of them veiled less and less, to anyone who opposes them in their path to re-election.

The shine is off, the luster has faded, the White House knows it and is desperate to do anything it can to stop the bleeding.

It might be the makings of good drama to imagine a White House using government branches, campaign operatives, and manipulable pressures of every kind to wiggle their way back into power. But this is no movie and we the people must realize this.

Obama has channeled the inaction of Jimmy Carter while governing, but in this campaign his new approach begs comparison to Richard M. Nixon–and I’m not sure, but in my lifetime, that’s never been a good thing! (Kevin McCullough)

Prove The Mayans Wrong

For the Record on upcoming Republican “obstructionist” ads and ads that say Republicans WANT to crush College Students over the loan rates because you surely won’t here this from the Ministry of Truth:

Republicans defied a veto threat and the House voted Friday to prevent federal loan costs from doubling for millions of college students. The vote gave the GOP a momentary election-year triumph on a bill that has become enmeshed in partisan battles over the economy, women’s issues and President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul.

The measure’s 215-195 passage was largely symbolic because the package is going nowhere in the Democratic-dominated Senate. Both parties agree students’ interest costs should not rise, but they are clashing along a familiar fault line over how to cover the $6 billion tab: Republicans want spending cuts and Democrats want higher revenues.(revenues=Taxes).

Democrats wrote a version of the bill, paid for by ending subsidies for oil and gas companies.

Big Oil is, after all, Evil Incarnate.

But this whole created mess is the centerpiece of the President’s strategy to gin up young, naive, stupid people to vote for him. It can’t be over this fast. He can’t have the Republicans being given credit for it. He has so much more fear and loathing to spread!

FEAR IS HOPE!

So they obstruct them, then blame them for not passing a bill that does it there way. After all, it’s their way or the highway!

And the Republicans keep “obstructing” them on that.

Damn them. 🙂

Democrats trained their fire on the Republican plan to pay for the bill by abolishing a preventive health fund created by Obama’s 2010 revamping of the health care system. Democrats said that program especially helped women by allocating money for cancer screening and other initiatives and that eliminating it was only the latest GOP blow against women _ a charge Republicans hotly contested.

“Give me a break,” roared House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, to rousing cheers from Republican lawmakers. “This is the latest plank in the so-called war on women, entirely created by my colleagues across the aisle for political gain.”

Democrats voted solidly earlier this year to take money from the preventive health fund to help keep doctors’ Medicare reimbursements from dropping. Obama’s own budget in February proposed cutting $4 billion from the same fund to pay for some of his priorities.

Since the early days of this year’s GOP presidential contest, Democrats have been accusing Republicans of targeting women by advocating curbs on contraceptives and other policies. Polls show women leaning heavily toward Obama and Democrats would like to stoke that margin.

In its veto message, the White House argued that “women in particular” would be helped by the prevention fund and added, “This is a politically motivated proposal and not the serious response that the problem facing America’s college students deserves.” (Townhall)

Never Let a Crisis Go to Waste! 🙂

2008: The Obama campaign spokesman, Bill Burton, accused the Clinton team of playing “the politics of fear” just like George W. Bush.

Burton, now the head of the Democratic super PAC, Priorities USA (one of the main backers of ObamaCare), said at the time: “When Senator Clinton voted with President Bush to authorize the war in Iraq, she made a tragically bad decision that diverted our military from the terrorists who attacked us, and allowed Osama bin Laden to escape and regenerate his terrorist network. It’s ironic that she would borrow the President’s tactics in her own campaign and invoke bin Laden to score political points. We already have a President who plays the politics of fear, and we don’t need another.

Now: We have Throwing Grandma off a cliff, race-baiting, racial division, and so much more.

FEAR IS HOPE

In a new web video titled “One Chance,” the Obama team features former President Bill Clinton praising Obama for deciding to launch the strike last year. “What path would Mitt Romney have taken?” the clip asks.

Mind you, like the “silver spoon” comments it’s all implied. He wants to led your horse to his kool-aid so you’ll drink it.

While I am not the biggest fan of Romney, I am totally against Obama and these kind of tactics are just the opening salvo in an all-out Nuclear Armageddon that the Democrats and their Liberal Media Minions will launch.

After all, all that they have worked for for 90 years is at stake. ObamaCare is potentially still at stake depending on how it goes with the Supreme Court. And if goes against them then they have to double down to win so they can pass it again!

Don’t doubt that. It’s the Holy Grail of Liberalism. They won’t give up quite so easily. All they have to do is win again, replace at least 1 conservative Justice on the Supreme Court and they are off to the Totalitarian races!

So expect nothing less than total and absolute Nuclear Annihilation.

So you pander to base fears. You pander to Hispanics big time (gotta have that Illegal alien Vote – sorry the Liberal want to ban that phrase to because it’s “inhumane” – perfect crimethink). You get the stupid and the naive to vote for you. You get as many independents as possible to stay home and not vote for anyone as you can so you can get your base+the stupid+ the naive to overwhelm the rational.

Vote for me, The Other Guy’s an Asshole!!!

And it starts with the ludicrous notion that a President presented with info to kill or capture the #1 enemy of the country would pass on it.

I think the only reason Obama went for it is because if it leaked out that he didn’t that it would be bad politiks. After all President Clinton passed on Bin Laden several times in the 1990s (but that didn’t hurt him because the liberal media covered it up and they could have for Obama but the internet is much more pervasive now than than it was and it would have leaked out somehow).

“Thanks to President Obama, bin Laden is dead and General Motors is alive. You have to ask yourself, if Gov. Romney had been president, could he have used the same slogan — in reverse?” Biden said

Yeah, and The UAW thanks you Mr. Vice President. After all, that was what it was all about in the first place– Unions. The Stimulus was also about Unions.
If you aren’t in a Union (which the vast majority of people aren’t) then you don’t have compulsory “donations” to the Democrat Party as part of your salary and that has to change.
Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul said Friday. “It’s now sad to see the Obama campaign seek to use an event that unified our country to once again divide us, in order to try to distract voters’ attention from the failures of his administration.”

But don’t worry, the fear campaign has only begun to ratchet up and the swagger of “I got him and you didn’t” is only just beginning.
Before it’s over the Mayans will be right.

WSJ: Try this thought experiment: You decide to donate money to Mitt Romney. You want change in the Oval Office, so you engage in your democratic right to send a check.

Several days later, President Barack Obama, the most powerful man on the planet, singles you out by name. His campaign brands you a Romney donor, shames you for “betting against America,” and accuses you of having a “less-than-reputable” record. The message from the man who controls the Justice Department (which can indict you), the SEC (which can fine you), and the IRS (which can audit you), is clear: You made a mistake donating that money.

Richard Nixon’s “enemies list” appalled the country for the simple reason that presidents hold a unique trust. Unlike senators or congressmen, presidents alone represent all Americans. Their powers—to jail, to fine, to bankrupt—are also so vast as to require restraint. Any president who targets a private citizen for his politics is de facto engaged in government intimidation and threats. This is why presidents since Nixon have carefully avoided the practice.

Save Mr. Obama, who acknowledges no rules. This past week, one of his campaign websites posted an item entitled “Behind the curtain: A brief history of Romney’s donors.” In the post, the Obama campaign named and shamed eight private citizens who had donated to his opponent. Describing the givers as all having “less-than-reputable records,” the post went on to make the extraordinary accusations that “quite a few” have also been “on the wrong side of the law” and profiting at “the expense of so many Americans.”

These are people like Paul Schorr and Sam and Jeffrey Fox, investors who the site outed for the crime of having “outsourced” jobs. T. Martin Fiorentino is scored for his work for a firm that forecloses on homes. Louis Bacon (a hedge-fund manager), Kent Burton (a “lobbyist”) and Thomas O’Malley (an energy CEO) stand accused of profiting from oil. Frank VanderSloot, the CEO of a home-products firm, is slimed as a “bitter foe of the gay rights movement.”

These are wealthy individuals, to be sure, but private citizens nonetheless. Not one holds elected office. Not one is a criminal. Not one has the barest fraction of the position or the power of the U.S. leader who is publicly assaulting them.

“We don’t tolerate presidents or people of high power to do these things,” says Theodore Olson, the former U.S. solicitor general. “When you have the power of the presidency—the power of the IRS, the INS, the Justice Department, the DEA, the SEC—what you have effectively done is put these guys’ names up on ‘Wanted’ posters in government offices.” Mr. Olson knows these tactics, having demanded that the 44th president cease publicly targeting Charles and David Koch of Koch Industries, which he represents. He’s been ignored.

The real crime of the men, as the website tacitly acknowledges, is that they have given money to Mr. Romney. This fundraiser of a president has shown an acute appreciation for the power of money to win elections, and a cutthroat approach to intimidating those who might give to his opponents.

He’s targeted insurers, oil firms and Wall Street—letting it be known that those who oppose his policies might face political or legislative retribution. He lectured the Supreme Court for giving companies more free speech and (falsely) accused the Chamber of Commerce of using foreign money to bankroll U.S. elections. The White House even ginned up an executive order (yet to be released) to require companies to list political donations as a condition of bidding for government contracts. Companies could bid but lose out for donating to Republicans. Or they could quit donating to the GOP—Mr. Obama’s real aim.

The White House has couched its attacks in the language of “disclosure” and the argument that corporations should not have the same speech rights as individuals. But now, says Rory Cooper of the Heritage Foundation, “he’s doing the same at the individual level, for anyone who opposes his policies.” Any giver, at any level, risks reprisal from the president of the United States.

It’s getting worse because the money game is not going as Team Obama wants. Super PACs are helping the GOP to level the playing field against Democratic super-spenders. Prominent financial players are backing Mr. Romney. The White House’s new strategy is thus to delegitimize Mr. Romney (by attacking his donors) as it seeks to frighten others out of giving.

The Obama campaign has justified any action on the grounds that it has a right to “hold the eventual Republican nominee accountable,” but this is a dodge. Politics is rough, but a president has obligations that transcend those of a candidate. He swore an oath to protect and defend a Constitution that gives every American the right to partake in democracy, free of fear of government intimidation or disfavored treatment. If Mr. Obama isn’t going to act like a president, he bolsters the argument that he doesn’t deserve to be one.

If I can’t get you to vote for me, I can at least try to get you to not vote at all.

But if you vote for the wrong team, expect to feel my wrath if I’m re-elected for I am vengeful God!

We already have a President who plays the politics of fear, that’s why we need to get rid of him.

And the only way is to wade through an all out Nuclear Armageddon of Liberal attacks and vote him out.

Be a Proud Enemy of This State.

And prove the Mayans wrong. 🙂

Fast & Furious II: The Sequel

Two of every three suspected crime guns recovered by Mexican authorities and reported to the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives came from the U.S., according to data the agency released Thursday.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.) said the new data make it “very clear that we need to increase our efforts to starve the supply of American weapons that arm Mexico’s brutal drug trafficking organizations.”

Aka Gun Control. Something wanna-be dictators always want.

In the end, ATF counts stolen guns in this data, guns sold to foreign governments by FFLs under the approval of the State Department in this data and counts guns ATF and DOJ purposely sent into Mexico as “guns being traced back to the U.S.” (Kate Pavlich)

So they can inflate the statistics and make it look worse so they can push for more gun control which is what Fast & furious was all about anyhow originally until it went tits-up on them.

“We also have to remember that the only guns Mexico is going to submit for tracing are guns they know are from the United States, which clearly paints an incomplete picture of the firearms found in the Mexico,” Sen. Grassley said. (townhall.com)

Now we have…GRENADES!

First it was “Operation Fast & Furious”…now there is a new scandal in the ATF. “Grenade Gate” is centered around alleged cartel arms dealer Jean Baptist Kingrey. ATF agents were supposed to be tracking Kingrey…but they let him go TWICE! The Justice Department just handed over a slew of disturbing new photos (including the ones below) to Congress shedding light on the case.(Greta Van Sustren)

They were tracking him, they lost him and lots of explosives made it across the border.

The ATF and/or the US Attorney’s office in Phoenix allowed at least 1,400 guns to be smuggled from the US to drug cartels in Mexico, ostensibly so they could track the guns up the food chain and then make big arrests. Instead, and tragically, Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was murdered. One of the weapons nearby was indeed one that US law enforcement had allowed to pass through to Mexico. Other weapons have apparently been linked to other crimes.

US Attorney General for the District of Arizona, Dennis Burke, resigned  last year over Fast & Furious. But no one has actually been arrested, prosecuted or even charged because of this mess.

It gets worse. Burke may also have been involved in another smuggling attempt. This one involved parts for hundreds of grenades. The suspect, Jean Baptiste Kingery, was arrested in Arizona, only to be released hours later. ATF agents wanted him held but were overruled by the Attorney General’s office. Kingery was recently arrested in Mexico, with parts for yet hundreds of more grenades.

So how many guns and grenade parts have US law enforcement allowed to pass to drug cartels? More to the point, isn’t this against the law? It shouldn’t matter if law enforcement wanted to do a sting and track the weapons to cartel leaders. They did in fact allow guns to be smuggled into Mexico. This is not only wrong, it’s also, well, crazy. We’re supposed to be cooperating with Mexico yet they weren’t told.

The emails also show Obama administration officials acknowledging that they may lose track of grenades but would still be able to accomplish their original objective even if the grenades explode.

According to an internal email that was provided to Congress by the Department of Justice and first reported by CBS News’ Sharyl Attkisson — who’s been the media’s most dogged reporter in tracking down facts on Fast and Furious – ATF began watching accused smuggler Jean Baptiste Kingery’s AK-47 purchases in 2004. In the 2009 internal ATF email, Obama administration officials admitted they believed Kingery was “trafficking them into Mexico.”

The 2009 email shows the ATF officials had then become aware of Kingery’s alleged grenade trafficking.

The administration officials then put together a plan: They secretly intercepted Kingery’s grenade parts after he ordered them online, marked them with special paint and gave them back to him. Then, they allowed him to take those grenade parts into Mexico. ATF was going to try to find his weapons factory there — even though the U.S. government and its federal law enforcement agencies have no jurisdiction in Mexico — with the apparent goal of building a bigger case against Kingery.

ATF agents had planned to work with Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials — who, unlike ATF agents who ultimately report to Attorney General Eric Holder, report up the chain to Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.

The emails show ATF agents were aware they might lose track of Kingery while they allowed him to transport the grenade parts into Mexico. The emails also show ATF agents knew that the grenades could end up exploding and killing innocent people if they proceeded with the plan. That didn’t stop the Obama administration’s ATF from allowing the grenades to walk.

“Even in a post blast, as long as the safety lever is recovered we will be able to identify these tagged grenades,” an official wrote in one email.

Hey, even if they explode and kill people it’s ok!!! No need to do anything about it because we can still get what WE want out of it!

According to Attkisson’s report, officials had taken Kingery into custody in 2010 — long before Border Patrol agent Brian Terry was murdered with a Fast and Furious-supplied gun — after having caught him trying to transport that ammunition and those grenade parts and fuse assemblies into Mexico hidden inside the spare tire of the SUV he was travelling in.

Attkisson said that ATF agents questioned Kingery at that point but then “inexplicably released” him.

“We are forbidden from doing that type of activity,” ATF’s Mexico attaché, Carlos Canino wrote in one email. “If ICE is telling you they can do that, they are full of shit.”

According to the Journal article, the June decision to release Kingery:

“… is at the crux of a bitter fight between ATF agents and prosecutors at the U.S. attorney’s office in Phoenix. The lead ATF agent on the grenades case, Peter Forcelli, “was horrified with the thought of releasing this individual” and “practically begged” senior prosecutor Emory Hurley “for permission to arrest the suspect on a criminal complaint…”

An e-mail later surfaced in which Burke wrote, “Agree [with] the course of action as the variables play out.” (New Times 2011)

Sources tell CBS News that, in January 2010, ATF had Kingery under surveillance after he bought about 50 grenade bodies and headed to Mexico. But they say prosecutors wouldn’t agree to make a case. So, as ATF agents looked on, Kingery and the grenade parts crossed the border — and simply disappeared.

Six months later, Kingery allegedly got caught leaving the U.S. for Mexico with 114 disassembled grenades in a tire. One ATF agent told investigators he literally begged prosecutors to keep Kingery in custody this time, fearing he was supplying narco-terrorists, but was again ordered to let Kingery go.

The prosecutors — already the target of controversy for overseeing “Fast and Furious,” wouldn’t comment on the grenades case. U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke recently resigned and his assistant, Emory Hurley, has been transferred. Sources say Hurley is the one who let Kingery go, saying grenade parts are “novelty items” and the case “lacked jury appeal.” (Michelle Malkin 2011)

But don’t worry, they knew nothing about all this. It was all Bush’s/Someone else’s Fault! 🙂

And we just need more Gun Control in THIS country!!

Not one government official has been held accountable for Operation Fast and Furious. (DC)

The top Justice Department official who signed a letter erroneously telling lawmakers investigating “Operation Fast and Furious” that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives never allowed guns to be sold to cartel members will be leaving the department to head up a law school.

He previously served as Chief Counsel to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.,
Hmmm….
Another rat desserts the ship before he has to rat on Holder.

Weich himself testified before the House Oversight and Government Reform committee in June 2011. He mostly testified about the Justice Department’s efforts to comply with congressional subpoenas, but he was also asked about the Feb. 4, 2011, letter.

“Every time the Justice Department sends a letter to Congress, it is true to the best of our knowledge at the time that we send it,” he said. Still, he insisted again that ATF “doesn’t sanction or approve of the transfer of weapons to Mexico.” (FOX)

And if we have to retract it later, as this one was, as being blatantly false and misleading that wasn’t our fault that you discovered it was false. 🙂

So Burke is gone, his replacement was an idiot, and several other flunkies have deserted the Ship and ATF and ICE are both left with sh*t on their face but yet, curiously no is being prosecuted for this fiasco. Holder says they are “investigating” but curiously nothing has been happening for more than a year.

Attorney General Eric Holder and “Big Sis” Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napalitano are curiously still here too. The Peter Principle in action.

Curiouser and Curiouser… 🙂

WASHINGTON — Republican House leaders have drafted a proposed contempt of Congress citation against Atty. Gen. Eric H. Holder Jr. in which they charge that he and his Justice Department have repeatedly “obstructed and slowed” the Capitol Hill investigation into the ATF’s flawed Fast and Furious gun-tracking operation.

The 48-page draft citation is being drawn up by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Vista), chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. Top committee officials recently met for most of a day in the House speaker’s office and were given the green light to proceed toward a contempt citation, according to sources who declined to be identified.

The draft describes a 2010 meeting in the office of then-acting Deputy Atty. Gen. Gary G. Grindler in which charts were presented showing 31 people had illegally paid cash for 1,026 weapons. Also shown were the locations of “stash houses” before the weapons were moved to Mexico.

“Despite receiving all this information … Grindler did not order Fast and Furious to be shut down, nor did he follow up with ATF or his staff about the investigation,” the draft says.

Grindler, however, has told congressional investigators that he was not advised at the meeting about the unusual tactics used by ATF agents in allowing the guns to be illegally sold under Fast and Furious. (LA Times)

But he didn’t do anything about it either!!

Yet another, stooge. Geez, they come out of the woodwork like cockroaches!

Gun, Grenades, eh, so what…No Big Deal. It’s all Bush’s Fault anyhow! 🙂

The End Justifies The Means

“We’re headed in the right direction. Unemployment continues to drop and those people who are unemployed, they’re not going to be voting for the party who wants to cut their benefits, cut access to food stamps, cut job training,” Rep. Chaka Fattah (D-PA) said on MSNBC’s Al Sharpton program.

“The idea that Republicans are trying to help those who are unemployed is nonsense and I think that on this election day, those who have a job can credit the administration for stabilizing our economy and those who don’t know that this administration is trying to put them to work,” he said.

We’re Counting on Naivete,Greed, and Narcissism and if that doesn’t work, then we’ll just use Fear,Envy, Cheating, and Intimidation.

Democracy, Liberal style!

More people giving up and being taken off the unemployment statistics is not progress. And 8%+ for OVER 3 YEARS STRAIGHT is not an “accomplishment” in a good way, unless you’re a Liberal or a slobbering Ministry of Truth hack like NBC.

But here’s a creative solution to the Post Office’s Bankruptcy problems (no government unions and their campaign money were harmed during this presentation):

Senator Tom Carper (D-DE) comes up with a plan to save the collapsing United States Postal Service: build wind farms off of the Atlantic Coast to power a new fleet of battery-operated postal delivery vehicles.

<<RIMSHOT>>

Man, with brain power like that no wonder everything is just perfect in Liberal La-La Land.

“[O]il and gas is an enforcement priority, it’s one of seven, so we are going to spend a fair amount of time looking at oil and gas production,” Al Armendariz says in the video.

The top-ranking EPA official goes on to explain his philosophy of policy enforcement [emphases added]:

“But as I said, oil and gas is an enforcement priority, it’s one of seven, so we are going to spend a fair amount of time looking at oil and gas production. And I gave, I was in a meeting once and I gave an analogy to my staff about my philosophy of enforcement, and I think it was probably a little crude and maybe not appropriate for the meeting but I’ll go ahead and tell you what I said. It was kind of like how the Romans used to conquer little villages in the Mediterranean. They’d go into a little Turkish town somewhere, they’d find the first five guys they saw and they would crucify them. And then you know that town was really easy to manage for the next few years. And so you make examples out of people who are in this case not compliant with the law. Find people who are not compliant with the law, and you hit them as hard as you can and you make examples out of them, and there is a deterrent effect there. And, companies that are smart see that, they don’t want to play that game, and they decide at that point that it’s time to clean up. And, that won’t happen unless you have somebody out there making examples of people. So you go out, you look at an industry, you find people violating the law, you go aggressively after them. And we do have some pretty effective enforcement tools. Compliance can get very high, very, very quickly. That’s what these companies respond to is both their public image but also financial pressure. So you put some financial pressure on a company, you get other people in that industry to clean up very quickly. So, that’s our general philosophy.”

“[The] EPA’s proposal for controlling greenhouse gas emissions from about half the nation’s electric power supply is a poorly disguised cap-and-tax scheme that represents energy and economic policy at its worst,” President and CEO Hal Quinn said in a statement from the National Mining Association.

The regulations will limit the emissions from new coal-based plants (as opposed to plants that existed before the drafting of the proposal). This, of course, will discourage entrepreneurs from establishing and building new power plants. And although the proposed regulations don’t specifically dictate which fuels a plant can and can’t burn, the rules still require new coal plants to match the dioxide emissions from more their “more efficient” gas-powered cousins, according to Reuters.

In order to meet the EPA’s new emissions standards, coal-based power plants have been encouraged to invest in equipment that captures carbon emissions and buries them underground for “permanent storage.” But there’s a catch: carbon capture and storage technology isn’t yet “commercially available,” according to the coal industry.

So what, Solar power is not commercially viable at this time but yet the little skulls of “feel good” mush want it anyways. They don’t care how many companies go bankrupt because in typical liberal fashion – The End Justifies The Means.

Not to worry; the EPA believes the tech will be available soon enough.

Just like that Algae-driven car. 🙂

“Supporters of the rules argue that the industry has been moving away from coal and towards natural gas because of low prices and abundant supply,” Reuters reports.

“The portion of U.S. electricity fired by coal has slipped from about 50 percent to 45 percent in the last few years as hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, and other drilling techniques have allowed access to vast new domestic supplies of natural gas,” the report adds.

However, as Ed Morrisey of Hot Air points out, considering the EPA’s current stance against natural gas, this argument may not hold up very well:

This leads us to the natural-gas option…The response might be, “Well, okay, Obama’s bankrupting the coal industry, but we can still use natural gas.”  That’s only true if we can get the natural gas.  The EPA has also begun blocking the use of hydraulic fracturing, better known as fracking, which allows for massive improvement in extraction and access to vast amounts of natural gas.

Environmentalist groups praised the Obama administration for proposing “performance standard rules” they say will help “protect the country from climate change.”

“The bottom line for our country is that cleaner power will cut harmful carbon dioxide pollution, protect our children and help secure a safe prosperous future,” said Vickie Patton, the general counsel for the Environmental Defense Fund.

Oh, but here’s the best part: none of these new EPA climate rules need to be approved by Congress.

“After Congress refused to pass carbon caps, the administration insisted there were other ways to skin the cat, and this is another way — by setting a standard deliberately calculated to drive affordable coal out of the electricity market,”

More stealth regulations, maneuvers, and back-handed “well if I can’t get by Congress I’ll get it my way anyhow by regulations”

Higher utility bills and fewer jobs are the only certain outcomes from this reckless attempt to override Congress’s repeated refusal to enact punitive caps on carbon dioxide emissions.

But it’s for your own good. So what if you’re unemployed or poor and you have to pay higher utility bills. Vote for Obama, he’ll make you feel better than that evil capitalist pig “silver spoon” Romney.

After all, they are evil polluters and you should be glad to have that $40 light bulb and pay 4,5,6 times as much for electricity than you do know.

The government will take care of you! 🙂

They will provide!

Unlike the republicans who just want you to starve, and die. 🙂

Trust them. They have your back (the large and multiple knifes in your back are the Republicans fault for not wanting to do as we wanted them to).

This proposal is the latest convoy in EPA’s regulatory train wreck that is rolling across America, crushing jobs and arresting our economic recovery at every stop. It is not an “all of the above” energy strategy; it does not create jobs; and it does not make it easier for Americans to pay their mortgages. Instead, the proposed New Source Performance Standards would deliberately push America to abandon coal, its most abundant and reliable energy source in favor of costlier fuels—even though Congress has repeatedly rejected this policy.

“If you thought gas prices will never stop rising, just wait until you see what happens to electricity after the Barack Obama’s EPA gets its way,” Ed Morrissey writes. (The Blaze)

President Obama’s Interior Secretary Ken Salazar confirmed that the administration has gotten “more strict on denying drilling permits” since the Deepwater Horizon, though he contended Obama is also pursuing an effective all-of-the-above energy strategy.

“Yes,” Salazar answered when asked if he is “being more strict on denying drilling permits based on safety and environmental concerns” since the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

“We have new sets of regulations that that have been put into place,” Salazar told reporters at the National Press Club yesterday. “The permit reviews are rigourous. We make sure that any company that is going to be operating in the waters of the United States is going to be complying in the rules that we set out.”

Salazar also declared that “we are now producing 13 percent more oil off of our public lands than was being produced three years ago.”

The Department of Energy seems to contradict Salazar’s claim. Oil production is at the same level it was in 2009 — and dramatically lower than in 2010 — according to a recent report from the U.S. Energy Information Administration. (Washington Examiner)

Less is More because I said so. 🙂

The oil production that is up is on PRIVATE LANDS not federal lands. But it’s not like Liberals care about Facts…

“they don’t think we should be getting rid of every regulation on the books.”-Obama when asked about Congressional Republicans and the people.

I love the all-or-nothing extremism of Liberals. It’s either do it my way or it must be the most extreme on the other end.

Obama 10/2011: “My plan says we’re going to put teachers back in the classrooms, construction workers back to work,” President Obama said at a campaign event today. “Tax cuts for small businesses, tax cuts for hiring veterans, tax cuts if you give your workers a raise –- that’s my plan.”

The Republicans plan, Obama says, boils down to this: ‘Dirtier air, dirtier water, less people with health insurance.’ (RCP)

“Frankly, I know that there are good, decent Republicans on Capitol Hill who, in a different environment, would welcome the capacity to work with me,” Obama said. “But right now, in an atmosphere in which folks like Rush Limbaugh and Grover Norquist are defining what it means to be a true conservative, they are lying low. My hope is that after this next election, they’ll feel a little more liberated to go out and say, ‘Let’s redirect the Republican Party back to those traditions in which a Dwight Eisenhower can build an interstate highway system.'”

So basically, there’s a category of “decent” Republicans who believe in a large role for the federal government, but those of us who believe in a smaller government are somehow indecent, and are holding the good guys hostage.(Washington Examiner)

Can I get an “Amen”. 🙂

Showtime!

One of the few times I have agreed with Sen. McCain:

“Well my position is it is a classic Schumer grandstanding use of his subcommittee,” McCain said when asked by a reporter outside his party’s policy lunch in the Capitol about Schumer’s subcommittee hearing earlier in the day on Arizona’s 2010 immigration law, SB 1070.

Arguments are in front of the Supreme Court today. So Schumer had his There-all-racists dog-and-pony show yesterday. Political theatre at it’s most grotesque.

After all, only 2 of 11 members of Upchuck’s committee (the other being “Ticked Turbin” Dick Durbin) bothered to show up for this narcissistic nakedly political dog-and-pony show.

“I agree with [former Kansas] Sen. [Bob] Dole who once said the most dangerous place in Washington to be is between Sen. Schumer and a television camera,” McCain added. “Of course, he never consulted me or [Arizona] Sen. [Jon] Kyl,” he joked.

Speaking of “UpChuck” Schumer…How much upchuck would Upchuck chuck if  Upchuck could Chuck his upchuck. 🙂

“We have a border agent killed because of Fast and Furious. We today have guides sitting on mountaintops in Arizona as drugs are smuggled up to Phoenix and distributed throughout the country. There frustration was real and understandable.”

McCain said the solution to the problem is simple: “Secure the border.”

Mind you, I will not forgive him for the Amnesty Bill of 2007. And he knows it, which is why in 2010 he ran so far to right to save his own job.
And with our incompetent former Governor, Janet Napalitano rise to her Peter-Principle heights of incompetence and the Race-Biased DOJ run by a political hack and a Labor Department run by a Pro-Illegal Hispanic we have no chance.
“Under federal law, under the U.S. Constitution and the Arizona Constitution, you know, we have the Equal Protection Clause,” he added. “I knew those kinds of issues would be raised by those open-border folks that are against any enforcement. We’ve been sued on everything we’ve done from voting fraud — to stop voting fraud — to welfare fraud to going after illegal employers who compete illegally, immorally and have a competitive advantage over the honest employer. Doesn’t seem like no matter what we do, Mr. Chairman, we’re attacked for simply enforcing the law, trying to protect American citizens and jobs for Americans. … We simply wrote the bill to preempt those kinds of silly arguments and try to protect everybody’s rights.”-Russell Pearce, the author of SB1070 who was railroaded out of his job by the hysterical Left.
Sen. Schumer describes state immigration laws as “counterproductive and unconstitutional.”

Because after all, The Federal Government must be Supreme in all things! And they don’t needy in any uppity States asserting their own rights!
And if the Federal Government wants to ignore any law then that’s just tough sh*t for you. Buck up and suck it up!!
Your Imperial Masters have spoken!
Do you believe individual states should have the right to make their own immigration laws and protect their borders, if they believe the federal government has failed to act, or not?

Yes, states should have that right 65%  2010: 65%
No, not up to states 31  2010: 32
(Don’t know) 4  2010: 3  (Fox)
“Illegal is a crime, not a race. It doesn’t pick out any nationality. It just so happens 90 percent of those who violated our immigration laws come from across that southern border or are Hispanic.”–Russell Pearce

Durbin asked Gallardo if SB 1070 made it easier or harder for illegal immigrants to report domestic violence or abuse of their children to law enforcement.

(State Lawmaker-Democrat) Gallardo said the bill makes it harder to report abuse, because women are fearful that if they come forward, they may be separated from their children and deported.

Can you spot the Liberal Diversions?
“I’m sure it didn’t escape notice that none of my colleagues on the other side of the aisle came to this hearing. That’s not surprising. They’re absent from this hearing just like they’ve been absent from every attempt we’ve made to negotiate a comprehensive solution to our immigration problem. We need people to sit down, people on both sides of the aisle in a bi-partisan way and solve this problem. and we have been unable to find negotiating partners,” Schumer said.
It’s the Republican’s Fault!!!
If they’d only kissed our ass on Amnesty then we would not have this political dog-and-pony show!
Remember, “Bi-Partisan” in Liberal land means you do exactly what they want and there will be no partisan childishness and you won’t be to blame for not letting us do whatever we want. It’s BY-Partisan.
And the fix is in, Justice Elena Kagan recused herself from the decision leaving a 4-4 split on the Court that would mean the low court and the liberals win.
But she refuses to recuse herself from ObamaCare which she also worked on.
Sickening.
MORE FUN WITH KU KLUX KLAN
An unhinged Chris Matthews on Monday excoriated Republican primary voters as racist, deriding them as the “Grand Wizard crowd.”
Former RNC Chairman Michael Steele (who is black BTW): Are you saying that we’re Ku Klux Klan?

MATTHEWS: Okay, I’m just saying, the far right party.

Mr “Tinkle up my Leg” was in rare form.
I guess he wasn’t invited to be on the Panel with Schumer and Durbin.
And the former Grand Wizard of The Klu Klux Clan, Sen. Robert Byrd (D) was dead.

The administration says the law, and Arizona’s approach of maximum enforcement, conflict with a more nuanced federal immigration policy that seeks to balance national security, law enforcement, foreign policy, human rights and the rights of law-abiding citizens and immigrants.

Obama:  The president said, “you can try to make it really tough on people who look like they, quote, unquote look like illegal immigrants. One of the things that the law says is that local officials are allow to ask somebody who they have a suspicion might be an illegal immigrant for their papers — but you can imagine if you are a Hispanic American in Arizona, your great, great grandparents may have been there before Arizona was even a state. But now suddenly if you don’t have your papers and you took your kid out to get ice cream, you’re going to be harassed, that’s something that could potentially happen.” (townhall)

But at least Attorney General Holder  and Homeland Security Secretary Napalitano have actually read it…NOT! 🙂
Supreme Court ruled in favor of Arizona on a law that allows the state to require employers to verify citizenship of job applicants, the court has shown it is not opposed to giving the states some form of control over immigration policy.
So hopefully State’s Rights wins the day.
But with the fix in, I doubt it.
CRIMINAL CASES IN THE SOUTHWEST (You, those “more secure” borders):
Eighty percent of cases filed against criminal defendants in United States Magistrate Courts in fiscal year 2011 occurred in parts of the country along the U.S. border with Mexico, according to a recent Justice Department report.Of the total 71,387 cases filed in that court system between Oct. 1, 2010 and Sept. 30, 2011, 57,310 were along the southern border, the United States Attorneys’ Annual Statistical Report for Fiscal Year 2011 states.

Arizona accounted for the highest number of criminal defendants (23,125), followed by Southern Texas (19,453), Western Texas (10,546), New Mexico (2,913) and Southern California (1,273).  Those four regions are among the top five in the country for the number of cases filed in the Magistrate Courts. (The other is Eastern Virginia, with 3,034 cases.)

Created by Congress in 1968, Magistrate Courts handle a “considerable criminal caseload,” according to the report.  Assigned by district courts, magistrate judges preside over misdemeanor trials, conduct preliminary hearings, and enter rulings or recommended dispositions on pretrial motions.

Regions along the southwest border also accounted for the most criminal cases handled by U.S. Attorneys in FY2011.  Of all criminal cases filed in U.S. District Courts, 43.3 percent occurred in the four border states – Western Texas (7,271), Arizona (7,033), Southern Texas (6,797), Southern California (5,689) and New Mexico (3,044).

Overall, U.S. Attorneys’ offices dealt with 163,908 criminal matters during FY2011.

Immigration accounted for 41.8 percent of all criminal cases – the highest number by program category. Next came drug-related offenses, at 22.1 percent, followed by violent crime, 17.2 percent.

Gee, Mexican Drug Gangs anyone?

Although the most recent report does not mention illegal immigration, the report for FY2010 does.

“Illegal immigration provides the initial foothold with which criminal elements, including organized crime syndicates, use to engage in a myriad of illicit activities ranging from immigration document fraud and migrant smuggling to human trafficking,” the earlier report states.

“Violence along the border of the United States and Mexico has increased dramatically during recent years,” it adds. “The violence associated with Mexican drug trafficking organizations pose[s] a serious problem for law enforcement.” (CNS)

But, don’t worry, it’s more secure than it has ever been and they have made ‘significant’ progress! 🙂

THE CHURCH OF ME

Political Cartoons by Bob Gorrell

And Church of My God is ME has come again:

“The fact is that since most of you were born, tuition and fees at America’s colleges have more than doubled,” Obama said. “And that forces students like you to take out a lot more loans, there are fewer grants, you rack up more debt. Can I get an ‘amen’?”

The students responded: “Amen!”

Obama continued: “The average student who borrows to pay for college now graduates with about $25,000 in student loan debt—that’s the average, some are more. Can I get an ‘amen’ for that?”

“Amen,” the students responded.

As mentioned in a previous blog, one of the main reasons for the higher tuition IS BECAUSE OF THE GOVERNMENT. Since they will pay more an more in subsidies to Colleges to “keep prices low” the incentive is to raise them to new heights because the government will just pay them anyways.
But for Obama, he want 2008 back, when he was worshiped as The Savior of Mankind and the only people stupid enough to believe that are the young Liberally-educated socialists-in-training.
So the campaign strategy is Class Warfare, Appeal to the Stupid, and then everyone else is misogynist (War on Women) or a Racist if they don’t support him.

Counter “Racism”

Political Cartoons by Bob Gorrell

Sen. “UpChuck” Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) will announce the fallback legislation at a hearing on the Arizona law Tuesday, a day before the Supreme Court hears oral arguments in a suit to determine whether Arizona had the authority to enact the 2010 state crackdown.

The legislation would have little chance of passing in a stalemated Senate or being approved by a GOP-held House, but it would allow Democrats to push their electoral advantage with Latino voters just as the presidential campaign heats up in July.

The plan is to allow Democrats a route to express displeasure with the Arizona law if the court allows it to stand, and it would force Republicans to take a clear position on the law during the height of the presidential campaign. The immigration law is deeply unpopular with Latino voters , who could be key to the outcome of the presidential and Senate races in several Western states.

Race-based Propaganda pandering. Now that’s LEADERSHIP! 🙂

After all, we are always right so if the Court doesn’t uphold our If-We-Want-To-Ignore-The-Law Immigration Kiss-Butt then we will be childish and play games and race politics in the sleazy way possible.

Now that’s A Mature response. What’s next. Hold your breath until they turn blue and stamp their feet in defiance!?

“If the court upholds the Arizona law, Congress can make it clear that what Arizona is doing goes beyond what the federal government and what Congress ever intended,” Schumer said in an interview.

He called the Arizona law an “assault on the domain of the federal government” that Congress will need to address if the court allows it to stand.

If we want to ignore the Law and actively wrong against it and you don’t like…well tough sh*t MotherF**ker! We are the Federal Government and we are Supreme in all things! We can do (or not do) anything we want. Up yours!

Now that’s Democracy in action! 🙂

Schumer said he believes the court will side with the federal government. But if it does not, he will propose a new law requiring federal approval for new state immigration laws, essentially blocking implementation of Arizona’s law and others like it that have passed elsewhere.

The legislation would also bar states from imposing their own penalties, beyond federal sanctions, for employers who hire illegal immigrants. Some business leaders have said they are concerned new state rules on hiring could lead to a patchwork of conflicting employment rules across the country.

You could enforce actual Federal Law, rather than playing games with waivers, delays and just play indifference to the law.

The Federal Government after all is Supreme over all its peasants..I mean subjects…

A Quinnipiac University poll released Friday asked 2,577 registered voters nationwide whether they support Arizona’s immigration law, S.B. 1070, passed in 2010. Sixty-eight percent of respondents said they approved of the law while 27 percent said they disapproved of it. The poll question spelled out the provision of the law that “requires police to verify the legal status of someone they have already stopped or arrested if they suspect that the person is in the country illegally.”

The emphasis was mine. It is the most often “forgotten” piece by the Liberal Media and Liberals in general.

But it’s not like this government care about what the people really think. After all ObamaCare has been a majority-against proposal-then-law since it began in 2009.

But it’s not like the Democrats give a crap.

Don’t do as I do, Do WHAT I SAY and BELIEVE what I WANT YOU TO!

We are Superior. And you should just bow down to and kiss our superior asses!

There was a book published with the unwieldy title, “No Matter What … They’ll Call This Book Racist.” Obviously it was written well before the shooting in Florida, but its message — that there is rampant hypocrisy and irrationality in public discussions of race — could not have been better timed.

Author Harry Stein, a self-described “reformed white liberal,” raised by parents who were even further left, exposes the illogic and outright fraudulence that lies behind so much of what is said about race in the media, in politics and in our educational institutions.

He asks a very fundamental question: “Why, even after the Duke University rape fiasco, does the media continue to give credence to every charge of racism?”

Winston Churchill said, “If the past sits in judgment on the present, the future will be lost.” He wasn’t talking about racial issues, but what he said applies especially where race is involved. (Thomas Sowell)

In the Age of Obama, the ugly charge of racism is more prevalent than ever. Why? Because telling the truth about racial profiling, crime, the social fallout of single parent homes, and the ways racial preferences distort the very meaning of equity and justice would mean facing up to the soul-destroying pathologies of urban black culture. Instead, black leaders and their guilty white allies focus tirelessly on historic oppression and the supposed need for more government aid, and demonize those who challenge their shopworn views as—what else?—racist.

In No Matter What . . . They’ll Call This Book Racist, Harry Stein attacks the rigid prohibitions that have long governed the conversation about race, not to offend or shock (though they certainly will) but to provoke the serious thinking that liberal enforcers have until now rendered impossible. Stein examines the ways in which the regime of racial preferences has sown division, corruption, and resentment in this country. He pays special attention to the stifling falsehood that it is racism that continues to mire millions of underclass blacks in physical and spiritual poverty. by far the greater problem, says Stein, is the culture of destructive attitudes and behaviors that denies those in its grip the means of escape. A New Liberal Slush Fund/Government Bureaucracy/Government Power Expansion Idea. Never Let a Crisis Go to Waste!!

Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.) this week proposed legislation that would offer millions of dollars in federal grants to states that enact and enforce laws that prohibit the use of racial profiling.

The Racial Profiling Prevention act, H.R. 4398, is a response to the Trayvon Martin shooting in Florida, which drew several complaints from Congressional Black Caucus members that Martin’s shooter, George Zimmerman, was not prosecuted because Martin was black.

“The Trayvon Martin tragedy did not involve a law enforcement officer, but his death reminds the country that every jurisdiction, including the federal government, has a responsibility to exercise its authority to eliminate practices that brand, on sight, black men and especially our youth as criminals,” Norton said. “Reports of racial profiling on federally funded highways, for example, are frequent. If we are serious about eliminating this form of racial discrimination, concrete steps are overdue.”

The bill would take $7.5 million a year from the Highway Trust Fund, for the next five years, and allow the government to use this for grants to states that are taking steps to curb racial profiling. Specifically, grants would go to states that enforce anti-racial profiling laws, and maintain public statistics about the race and ethnicity of drivers who are pulled over by police.

The grants could be used to pay for the costs of collecting traffic stop data, evaluating that data, and developing programs to reduce racial profiling.

Under the bill, no state could receive more than 5 percent of the total grant money available in any one fiscal year. The bill would take a total of $37.5 million from the Highway Trust Fund through fiscal year 2017.(The Hill)

Dr. Martin Luther King: Let us not wallow in the valley of despair, I say to you today, my friends.

And so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.”

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I have a dream today!

One of the things that gauls me the most about Liberals is their sanctimony.
There absolute conviction that they are the superior moral being and your just a dumb greedy mindless chimp.
A guy on the radio was spewing his sanctimony about “equality” and “fairness” where rich people needed to have their money taken from them because he was more concerned about  the poor and starving and giving them a “fair shot” and an “opportunity”.

Because after all, they have no shot now. And they are incompetent to begin with so government must step in and save the day!
When asked if he was concerned about giving the government the ability to just take a persons money just because they have millions of dollars the sanctimonious liberal just comes back repeated about rich people have different morals and he was concerned with the poor and the starving and refused to answer the question and just want to pontificate about how superior his “morality” was compared to evil non-liberals.
That’s what makes him “feel” good.
All emotion no logic.
All sanctimony.
Paraphrase: “when two babies are born I see one that will work at McDonalds and the other has a trust fund”
The sanctimonious liberal wants to piously pontificate about opportunity for the poor.

The way to do that is take from the rich and give it to the poor but that’s not “redistribution of wealth” because the Liberal puffed himself up and said with due pride “I’m not a socialist I’m just concerned about the poor”.

Yikes! Orwell would be proud of you my son.
That way they have an equal opportunity to work hard and be successful.
Notice anything wrong with that logic??
And then there’s the problem of when does the person who was poor and worked their ass off to make themselves rich cross the line into Evil, rich greed, immoral bastard worthy of having their success stripped from them in the name of the Liberal holy sanctimony??
And what incentive does that give to the person to become rich anyhow?
None.
Hey, if the Liberals are always going to give you everyone’s fish because it’s “fair” and they will “feel” good doing it then why do you need to learn to fish for yourself.

If Master Liberal is always going to promise you that they will deliver the booty why then do you need to “struggle”??

The only struggle you need is to elect Democrats so they can take the money from someone else and give it to you.

From Media Matters- The Propaganda Arm of The Obama Administration (as proven by Fast & Furious): In a report released April 9, researchers at the U.S. Department of Agriculture estimated that food stamps “reduced the poverty rate by nearly 8 percent in 2009.” That year, USDA researchers concluded, food stamps reduced the depth of child poverty by 20.9 percent.

As MSNBC’s Al Sharpton explained, “facts matter” in the debate over anti-poverty programs.

Valerie Jarrett: according to her, unemployment checks — in some round about way — are actually “good for” and “stimulate” the economy. “People Who Receive That Unemployment Check Go Out And Spend It And Help Stimulate The Economy.”

Nancy Pelosi: “It is the biggest bang for the buck when you do food stamps and unemployment insurance. The biggest bang for the buck,” she said.

Dean Baker: Unemployment Insurance “Stimulates The Economy” By “Put[ting] Money In … [The] Pockets” Of People Who Are “Very Likely To Spend” It. In an August 30, 2011, email to Media Matters, Dean Baker, co-director of the Center for Economic and Policy Research

Moody’s Economist Sophia Koropeckyj: They’ve likely depleted their savings, and this is really all the income that they have. And they have kids to feed, they have rent to pay, and there’s a very, very high probability they’re going to spend that entire amount that they get.

<LYNN> NEARY (NPR Host): And where do they spend it? In stores.

KOROPECKYJ: That initial infusion into the economy of the unemployment insurance benefits then reverberates through the economy, flows through the economy in a variety of ways, and so that, you know, $1 of benefits is magnified. [NPR, All Things Considered, 7/11/10]

Then Media Matters goes on to cites the CBO.

But when the CBO came out with ObamaCare was going to cost twice as much and would cause lots of people to lose their own insurance they ignored it.

Funny how that worked out.

The fact that they only give you the scraps and make you “feel” good about and gin up Class Warfare to cover up it’s deficiencies and fakery and keep most of it for THEIR cronies is immaterial because you are told you are entitled to it so when the government hands out its meager portions to you the peasants you are so grateful to your Lord and Master for their protection, wisdom, guidance and love.

If this is starting to sound like a Medieval King-Lord-Royalty-Peasant relationship you are catching my drift.

The Elites and The “grateful” peasants.

Also sounds a bit like Communism.

Funny how that worked out. 🙂

OBAMACARE

Call it President Obama’s Committee for the Re-Election of the President — a political slush fund at the Health and Human Services Department.

Only this isn’t some little fund from shadowy private sources; this is taxpayer money, redirected to help Obama win another term. A massive amount of it, too — $8.3 billion. Yes, that’s billion, with a B.

Here is how it works.

The most oppressive aspects of the ObamaCare law don’t kick in until after the 2012 election, when the president will no longer be answerable to voters. More “flexibility,” he recently explained to the Russians.

But certain voters would surely notice one highly painful part of the law before then — namely, the way it guts the popular Medicare Advantage program.

For years, 12 million seniors have relied on these policies, a more market-oriented alternative to traditional Medicare, without the aggravating gaps in coverage.

But as part of its hundreds of billions in Medicare cuts, the Obama one-size-fits-all plan slashes reimbursement rates for Medicare Advantage starting next year — herding many seniors back into the government-run program.

The cuts were 1/2 of what was supposed to be the offest of the cost of the original price of ObamaCare. Which is now a 1/4 because the costs of ObamaCare have gone up even before this happens.

But funny how it was all set for after the election… 🙂

Under federal “open-enrollment” guidelines, seniors must pick their Medicare coverage program for next year by the end of this year — which means they should be finding out before Election Day.

Nothing is more politically volatile than monkeying with the health insurance of seniors, who aren’t too keen on confusing upheavals in their health care and are the most diligent voters in the land. This could make the Tea Party look like a tea party.

Making matters even more politically dangerous for Obama is that open enrollment begins Oct. 15, less than three weeks before voters go to the polls.

It’s hard to imagine a bigger electoral disaster for a president than seniors in crucial states like Florida, Pennsylvania and Ohio discovering that he’s taken away their beloved Medicare Advantage just weeks before an election.

This political ticking time bomb could become the biggest “October Surprise” in US political history.

But the administration’s devised a way to postpone the pain one more year, getting Obama past his last election; it plans to spend $8 billion to temporarily restore Medicare Advantage funds so that seniors in key markets don’t lose their trusted insurance program in the middle of Obama’s re-election bid.

The money is to come from funds that Health and Human Services is allowed to use for “demonstration projects.” But to make it legal, HHS has to pretend that it’s doing an “experiment” to study the effect of this money on the insurance market.

That is, to “study” what happens when the government doesn’t change anything but merely continues a program that’s been going on for years.

Obama can temporarily prop up Medicare Advantage long enough to get re-elected by exploiting an obscure bit of federal law. Under a 1967 statute, the HHS secretary can spend money without specific approval by Congress on “experiments” directly aimed at “increasing the efficiency and economy of health services.”

Past demonstration projects have studied new medical techniques or strategies aimed at improving care or reducing costs. The point is to find ways to lower the costs of Medicare by allowing medical technocrats to make efficient decisions without interference from vested interests.

Now Obama means to turn it on its head — diverting the money to a blatantly nonexperimental purpose to serve his political needs.

A Government Accounting Office report released this morning shows, quite starkly, that there simply is no experiment being conducted, just money being spent. Understandably, the GAO recommends that HHS cancel the project.

Congress should immediately launch an investigation into this unprecedented misuse of taxpayer money and violation of the public trust, which certainly presses the boundaries of legality and very well may breach them.

If he’s not stopped, Obama will spend $8 billion in taxpayer funds for a scheme to mask the debilitating effects on seniors of his signature piece of legislation just long enough to get himself re-elected.

Now that is some serious audacity. (NY Post)

And AARP’s stake in MediGap, the “alternative” to Medicare Advantage (which was a program that has worked better than most) has nothing to do with their support of ObamaCare.

If you opted for a Medicare Advantage health plan (aka Part C), you cannot also buy a Medigap policy. (from AARP’s Website).

So if you have the government gut your competition silently as part of the cost cutting of “waste, fraud and abuse” so much the better for you.

Which is why AARP is not a seniors advocacy group, it’s an insurance company! and it’s looking out for it’s bottom line, the greedy capitalist bastards! 🙂

And so, if you have a slush fund for “Medicare” costs that technically  don’t exist yet, and it just happens to find it’s way into your pockets because, after all, this election is all about YOU and YOU are so superior to everyone else and you can’t allow the peasant to revolt against their Lord and Masters now can you!- That’s ok.

Liberals are so superior to you peasants in their minds that how “stupid” and “racist” are you to want to get rid of them.

So, for your own good they must lie, cheat and steal the election to preserve the proper and “fair” relationship of the government and it’s people–The Lords and Masters to the peasants.

King Arthur: You don’t vote for kings.
Peasant Woman: Well, how’d you become king, then?
[Angelic music plays… ]
King Arthur: The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite, held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. That is why I am your king.
Dennis the Peasant: Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.
Arthur: Be quiet!
Dennis the Peasant: You can’t expect to wield supreme power just ’cause some watery tart threw a sword at you!
Arthur: [grabs Dennis] Shut up! Will you shut up?!
Dennis: Ah, now we see the violence inherent in the system!
Arthur: [shakes Dennis] Shut up!
Dennis: Oh! Come and see the violence inherent in the system! Help, help, I’m being repressed!
Arthur: Bloody Peasant!
Dennis: Ooh, what a giveaway!

The Third Shoe Dropping?

You know you have liberal over a barrel when: The Department of Justice is using the liberal “watchdog” group Media Matters for America to deflect questions about the Fast and Furious scandal, including those regarding a gun that might have been used in the murder of a U.S. Border Patrol agent.

Media Matters!

So it is now officially a propaganda arm of this Administration.

It was unofficial until this point.

So whatever BS they spew now can be officially disregarded as propaganda.

In response to an inquiry from the Free Beacon, a Justice Department spokeswoman said in an email that she “was told to direct your questions to the FBI, and also to provide you with a link to this story: http://mediamatters.org/research/201204190011”

And Media Matters was also partially founded by Democrat Donor Extraordinaire/Brazilian Oil Socialist- George Soros.

The link was to a story at the George Soros-funded Media Matters for America supposedly refuting many of Pavlich’s claims. Media Matters is a partisan organization whose founder, David Brock, is also running a pro-Obama super PAC.

Border Patrol agents, who have since been issued gag orders, were overheard at Terry’s funeral discussing the third gun.

“The idea that the border patrol agents were issued gag orders and not allowed to talk about this is very telling,” Pavlich said in an interview with the Free Beacon.

An email sent less than 12 hours after Terry’s death also mentioned the weapon.

Finally, an audio recording of a discussion between Andre Howard, owner of Lone Wolf Trading Company, and ATF agent Hope MacAllister also references a third gun.

“The reason they’re covering up the third gun is because it could lead to the confidential informant,” Pavlich said. “They’re protecting him at the cost of justice to Brian Terry and his family. I am not an expert on what confidential informants are allowed to get away with, but I guarantee they’re not allowed to kill federal agents.”

Unless it goes somewhere else, like Holder or Obama… 🙂

GLACIERS GROWING

No matter if the science of global warming is all phony…
climate change provides the greatest opportunity to
bring about justice and equality in the world
.”
– Christine Stewart, former Canadian Minister of the Environment

This can’t be possible with the Chicken Little Environmentalist running around the world decrying the end of the world, aka Global Warming…

A new study reveals that some Himalayan glaciers in the Karakoram mountain range may actually be getting bigger, according to a study published in the April issue of the journal Nature Geoscience — a surprising quirk in the planet’s response to a changing climate.

The Karakoram range runs along the India-China-Pakistan border and is home to about half the volume of the Himalayan glaciers, including K2 — the world’s second highest peak. Using computer models to compare the ice volume in satellite photos from 1999 and 2008, the study showed that some glaciers are holding steady and even gaining ice mass.

The new finding appears to align with another startling report published Feb. 9 in the science journal Nature, which found that the Himalayas have barely melted at all in the past 10 years. (FOX)

HERESY! WE HAVE BURN THEM AT THE STAKE!!!
The Religion of Global Warming will not be mocked by the likes of you!!!

A new report published Thursday, Feb. 9, in the science journal Nature offers the first comprehensive study of the world’s glaciers and ice caps, and one of its conclusions has shocked scientists. Using GRACE, a pair of orbiting satellites racing around the planet at an altitude of 300 miles, it comes to the eye-popping conclusion that the Himalayas have barely melted at all in the past 10 years.

“The GRACE results in this region really were a surprise,” said University of Colorado at Boulder physics John Wahr, who led the study.

The U.N. got it wrong on Himalayan glaciers — and the proof is finally here.

The authors of the U.N.’s climate policy guide were red-faced two years ago when it was revealed that they had inaccurately forecast that the Himalayan glaciers would melt completely in 25 years, vanishing by the year 2035.

Rajendra Pachauri, head of the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and director general of the Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in New Dehli, India, ultimately issued a statement offering regret for what turned out to be a poorly vetted statement.

So now it these satellites vs the Religious Faith of Global Warming. Science Vs Religion, always fascinating.

MODERN SLAVERY
If you’re not in a Union where you are forced to give money to the Democrats (via the Union Leadership) you’re a “slave”.

In a lawsuit against three Indiana government officials, a labor union alleged on Wednesday that its constitutional rights under the Thirteenth Amendment — which outlawed “slavery” and “involuntary servitude” — are violated whenever its members are forced to work alongside nonunion employees.

The International Union of Operating Engineers, whose members work as heavy equipment operators, mechanics and construction surveyors, sued Indiana’s governor, attorney general, and labor commissioner in February, alleging that the state’s “right to work” law is unconstitutional.

Indiana’s law prohibits employers from making union membership a condition of getting or keeping a job. The union’s February lawsuit claimed the law violated its members’ Fourteenth Amendment guarantee of “equal protection” under the law.

But an amended complaint filed on Wednesday added a Thirteenth Amendment claim as well. The new lawsuit suggests that when nonunion employees earn higher salaries and better benefits because of the union’s negotiation on behalf of its members, the union has been forced to work for those nonunion employees for free.

And being forced to work without compensation, the union suggested in its revised lawsuit, is slavery.

“In this case, the Defendants have exacted compulsory service and/or involuntary servitude from the Union through the combination of the passage of the Right to Work law and the existing federal requirement of the duty of fair representation,” the amended complaint reads.

“Through these laws, the Union is compelled to furnish services to all persons in bargaining units that it represents, but it may not require payment for those services because of the Right to Work law. The statute also requires dues-paying union members to work alongside non-union personnel, and that is compulsory service and/or involuntary servitude within the meaning of the Thirteenth Amendment.”

Mackinac Center for Public Policy senior legal analyst Patrick Wright said on Friday that the union’s legal argument “expands the definition of chutzpah.”

“Compulsory membership and coerced dues and fees are the hallmarks of the union movement, yet they claim that giving workers more choice is an act of enslavement.”

Competitive Enterprise Institute labor policy counsel Vincent Vernuccio told the Mackinac Center that “it’s insulting to the great civil rights leaders to compare the new forced unionism movement to what civil rights leaders went through in the 1950s and 1960s.”

Including Indiana, 23 U.S. states have “right to work” laws in force. (DC)

I love it when Liberals get hysterical. 🙂

But is also when they are the most irrational and dangerously unstable and unhinged.

So Stay Tuned.

Notable Quotables

“I got to say to the women out there, whether you’re a Republican, a Democrat or Independent, if you’re a self-respecting human being, please vote for President Obama. And for the men who care about women, do the same thing.”-Sen. Barbara Boxer.

Well, since I’m already a “racist” and “stupid” “self-respect” is the last thing I need. 🙂

“Organizing in our communities is going to be more important this year than last election for a simple reason,” Vice President Joe Biden says in a web campaign ad released today by the Obama reelection campaign. “As the guys on the other side have shown and promised, they’re going to spend several hundred million dollars carpet bombing the President with negative ads and there is really only one antidote to that and that is face to face contact with the voters.”

And Obama was trying to raise more money than an President EVER, for what? another 2008 love-in?

I guess all those Anti-Mormon, “Silver spoon” comments aren’t ads so they don’t count. 🙂

You thought 2008 was bad for negative ads, Obama has NOTHING BUT negative ads because there isn’t anything positive to say unless his strategy is going to be 2008 redux and blow even more smoke up your ass! 🙂

It’s another round of “Vote for me. The other guy’s an Asshole!”. But that’s the Republicans fault I’m sure. 🙂

“The fact is this president has been so respectful of the Republicans in Congress. He has given them every opportunity for the executive and the legislative branch to work together, to have a solution that has bipartisan support. He has been criticized by some for taking the time that it takes to find out that they’re never going to give him a break, which is a compromise,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said at her weekly press conference.

Ah, Nancy, the Left’s favorite ‘comedian’. Everything that comes out of her mouth is a joke.

So excluding them from the Obamacare cramdown, even when they had their photoshoot “summit” (and then promptly did whatever the hell they were going to do anyways) and the countless dozens of bills they have ignored from the House.

Oh, and then there’s the demonizing of Republicans for everything that they (The Democrats) have done wrong from the last 4 years.

Oh, and lest we forget, it’s been 3 years and 2 days (1,098 days total) since the US Senate passed a budget and willfully and scornfully refuses to even bother to show up to a Bi-Partisan meeting.

Just stand around hold breath and till you turn blue with your arms crossed defiantly. Very mature.

Now that’s “respect” Liberal style. Complete contempt and with “respect” like that who needs disrespect.

In a speech in the Senate in 2008, then-Senator Obama said that federal spending had to return to the “fiscal responsibility of the 1990s.”

Well, so much for that. 🙂

But then again, it’s the Republicans/Bush/”the rich”‘s fault anyhow.

You just have to laugh, otherwise you’d cry. But that’s Orwellian Liberal Politics for you.

With that, some sober and actually thoughtful quotes.

The 25 Best Quotes From Thomas Sowell
from townhall.com
Thomas Sowell is not only one of the finest columnists in the business, he’s a prolific author, a brilliant economist, and he has an incomparable knack for simplifying complex concepts that few other human beings can match. Enjoy the distilled wisdom!

25) “Since this is an era when many people are concerned about ‘fairness’ and ‘social justice,’ what is your ‘fair share’ of what someone else has worked for?”

24) “Imagine a political system so radical as to promise to move more of the poorest 20% of the population into the richest 20% than remain in the poorest bracket within the decade? You don’t need to imagine it. It’s called the United States of America.”

23) “Four things have almost invariably followed the imposition of controls to keep prices below the level they would reach under supply and demand in a free market: (1) increased use of the product or service whose price is controlled, (2) Reduced supply of the same product or service, (3) quality deterioration, (4) black markets.”

22) “What sense would it make to classify a man as handicapped because he is in a wheelchair today, if he is expected to be walking again in a month and competing in track meets before the year is out? Yet Americans are given ‘class’ labels on the basis of their transient location in the income stream. If most Americans do not stay in the same broad income bracket for even a decade, their repeatedly changing ‘class’ makes class itself a nebulous concept.”

21) “There are few talents more richly rewarded with both wealth and power, in countries around the world, than the ability to convince backward people that their problems are caused by other people who are more advanced.”

20) “The poverty rate among black married couples has been in single digits ever since 1994. You would never learn that from most of the media. Similarly you look at those blacks that have gone on to college or finished college, the incarceration rate is some tiny fraction of what it is among those blacks who have dropped out of high school. So it’s not being black; it’s a way of life. Unfortunately, the way of life is being celebrated not only in rap music, but among the intelligentsia, is a way of life that leads to a lot of very big problems for most people.”

19) “The first lesson of economics is scarcity: there is never enough of anything to fully satisfy all those who want it. The first lesson of politics is to disregard the first lesson of economics.”

18) “Each new generation born is in effect an invasion of civilization by little barbarians, who must be civilized before it is too late.”

17) “The vision of the anointed is one in which ills as poverty, irresponsible sex, and crime derive primarily from ‘society,’ rather than from individual choices and behavior. To believe in personal responsibility would be to destroy the whole special role of the anointed, whose vision casts them in the role of rescuers of people treated unfairly by ‘society’.”

16) “No one will really understand politics until they understand that politicians are not trying to solve our problems. They are trying to solve their own problems — of which getting elected and re-elected are number one and number two. Whatever is number three is far behind.”

15) “Life has many good things. The problem is that most of these good things can be gotten only by sacrificing other good things. We all recognize this in our daily lives. It is only in politics that this simple, common sense fact is routinely ignored.”

14) “There is usually only a limited amount of damage that can be done by dull or stupid people. For creating a truly monumental disaster, you need people with high IQs.”

13) “Civilization has been aptly called a ‘thin crust over a volcano.’ The anointed are constantly picking at that crust.”

12) “We seem to be moving steadily in the direction of a society where no one is responsible for what he himself did, but we are all responsible for what somebody else did, either in the present or in the past.”

11)” For the anointed, traditions are likely to be seen as the dead hand of the past, relics of a less enlightened age, and not as the distilled experience of millions who faced similar human vicissitudes before.”

10) “It is hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong.”

9) “Intellect is not wisdom.”

8)” The charge is often made against the intelligentsia and other members of the anointed that their theories and the policies based on them lack common sense. But the very commonness of common sense makes it unlikely to have any appeal to the anointed. How can they be wiser and nobler than everyone else while agreeing with everyone else?”

7) “Much of the social history of the Western world, over the past three decades, has been a history of replacing what worked with what sounded good.”

6) “Experience trumps brilliance.”

5) “The problem isn’t that Johnny can’t read. The problem isn’t even that Johnny can’t think. The problem is that Johnny doesn’t know what thinking is; he confuses it with feeling.”

4) “One of the consequences of such notions as ‘entitlements’ is that people who have contributed nothing to society feel that society owes them something, apparently just for being nice enough to grace us with their presence.”

3) “Weighing benefits against costs is the way most people make decisions — and the way most businesses make decisions, if they want to stay in business. Only in government is any benefit, however small, considered to be worth any cost, however large.”

2) “In short, killing the goose that lays the golden egg is a viable political strategy, so long as the goose does not die before the next election and no one traces the politicians’ fingerprints on the murder weapon.”

1) “There are no solutions; there are only trade-offs.”

Amen.

The First Amendment

Senator Jeff Sessions yesterday on the 3rd Anniversary of the last Senate Budget,“I can’t imagine that they would want to go to the American people and ask for higher taxes when they refuse to comply with the plain statutory law that says they should have a budget to tell where that money is going to be spent. If you won’t tell the American people where you’re going to spend the money, how much debt you’re going to run up, how much spending you’re going to cut or not cut, then I don’t think the American people ought to send another dime to this place. Not another dime!”

Well, if those “obstructionist” Republicans in the House would pass a Budget they’d like (Massive Tax Increases and more spending) then might at least think about. Until then, they have no political incentive to do such a thing.

So what if it’s a duty laid out by the Constitution. Like a Liberal cares.

Speaking of that document that Liberals like to ignore…

The constitutional amendment the Democrats seek would reverse the Supreme Court’s 2010 decision in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission. In that decision the court said that the First Amendment protects a right of free speech for corporations as well as for individuals, and that corporations (including those that produce newspapers, films and books) have a right to speak about politicians and their records just as individuals do.

“We have a clear agenda in this regard: Disclose, reform the system reducing the roll of money in campaigns, and amend the Constitution to rid it of this ability for special interests to use secret, unlimited, huge amounts of money flowing to campaigns,” Pelosi said at her Thursday press briefing.

“I think one of the presenters [at a Democratic forum on amending the Constitution] yesterday said that the Supreme Court had unleashed a predator that was oozing slime into the political system, and that, indeed, is not an exaggeration,” said Pelosi. “Our Founders had an idea. It was called democracy. It said elections are determined by the people, the voice and the vote of the people, not by the bankrolls of the privileged few. This Supreme Court decision flies in the face of our Founders’ vision and we want to reverse it.”

The fact that corporations are made up of people and that what the Democrats really want is their monopoly on using Union Money (they are a Orwellianly homogenous collective of “individuals”–who can force you to give money involuntarily– so not a “corporation” after all)  to bankroll campaigns back isn’t going to be mentioned in their selective moral outrage.

“But what it would do is it would say, all of the speech in which, whether it’s corporations or campaign committees and others engage in, would be able to be fully regulated under the authority of the Congress and–and under our Constitution.”-Rep. Donna Edwards (D.-Md.)

First Amendment: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Whoops! 🙂

Chief Justice John Roberts at the conclusion of the Citizens United Case: “The government urges us in this case to uphold a direct prohibition on political speech,” wrote Roberts. “It asks us to embrace a theory of the First Amendment that would allow censorship not only of television and radio broadcasts, but of pamphlets, posters, the Internet, and virtually any other medium that corporations and unions might find useful in expressing their views on matters of public concerns.”

My LIBERAL First Amendment that I wrote years ago: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of Any religion, and mocking the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of LIBERAL PROGRESSIVE speech, or of the LIBERAL PROGRESSIVE press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble to worship the LIBERAL PROGRESSIVES, any assembly in opposition must therefore be “terrorism” or “racism”, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances against Corporations and to seek “social justice”  and “fairness” at all costs.

The only Free Speech is THEIR speech. And since they can’t have that, and currently the people are against them they will have to cheat to win. Enter, the Illegal Aliens and the Liberal opposition to basic ID requirement at the polls.

Funny how this all runs together . 🙂

I’m beginning to think Sen. Kelly Ayotte’s (R-NH) “no budget, no pay” proposal may be the only way to politically bludgeon these miscreants into performing a core function of the job they were elected to carry out.  Also, Politico’s story on this mess (linked above) misleadingly lets Democrats off the hook for their own failures by intimating that “gridlock” is to blame for Congressional budget dysfunction.  Indeed, the piece’s headline calls the whole episode “a study in Congressional gridlock,” hinting that both sides share some blame.  Not so.  The Senate’s typical gear-grinding obstacles don’t apply here; budgets cannot be filibustered.  There’s also the “reconciliation” process in the Senate, which limits debate on items directly related to budget resolutions.  Democrats cannot even pretend to be unfamiliar with this maneuver, as it was instrumental in their infamous Obamacare cram-down.  In other words, this abdication of responsibility rests solely on Democrats’ shoulders, and it’s dishonest to suggest otherwise.

Meanwhile, the House of Representatives has fulfilled its budgetary obligations each of the last two years, ever since Republicans won control of the lower chamber. (Nancy Pelosi’s House intentionally failed to pass a fiscal blueprint in 2010).  For the crime of existing, GOP budgets have been relentlessly lied about, demagogued, and attacked.  President Obama’s alternatives have been so irresponsible that they’ve failed to garner a single vote in either house, but Senate Democrats have scrupulously avoided putting forth any ideas of their own.  Chuck Schumer’s purely political budget strategy essentially calls on Democrats to avoid voting for any budget, lest they be held accountable for a controversial provision or two.  Who cares about responsible governance when there’s an election to avoid losing?  Three years of this nonsense.  Paul Ryan is appalled: “I am disappointed to learn that Senate Budget Committee Chairman Kent Conrad will not follow through on his commitment to advance a budget. The Democrat-controlled Senate’s ongoing failure to pass a budget has become one of the most embarrassing spectacles in Washington. A budget is the most basic function of government, and today’s decision by Chairman Conrad to shrink from responsibility and accountability is especially perilous given the debt-fueled economic crisis staring us in the face. This unserious approach to budgeting has serious consequences for Americans families. It has been three years since Chairman Conrad last advanced a budget through the U.S. Senate….

It is also troubling that Chairman Conrad has refused to take steps to address the near-term challenge of across-the-board cuts scheduled to hit critical government functions, stating that the passage of last summer’s Budget Control Act means ‘we already have a budget in place for this year and next.’ With this abdication, the Senate’s Democratic leaders are officially acquiescing to a 10 percent cut in Department of Defense programs and an 8 percent cut in certain domestic programs, such as the National Institutes of Health and border security, taking effect in January of next year.” (Guy Benson)

Oh, and then there’s the biggest tax increase EVER scheduled for Jan 1,2013 and then Democrats who refuse to do anything about the budget until 2013.

But that will be Romney’s Fault if he wins and The Republicans Fault if Obama does. That’s how it works.

The First Amendment for Liberals is They are always right. 🙂

Doesn’t that just fill you will hope and change!

The Future’s So Bright…

NASA astronaut and “the first mother to fly in space” Dr. Anna Fisher took a veiled shot at President Obamaand his space policies Tuesday during an interview with a local anchor at Dulles International Airport where Discovery was making its last flight before being retired at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. The local anchor Kristin Fisher pulled a little boy named Ethan out of the crowd who was dressed up as a NASA pilot and asked him if he wanted to be an astronaut when he grew up, which he answered in the affirmative.

“Any advice for Ethan, an aspiring astronaut?” she asked her mom.

“Study Russian,” Fisher quipped, to laughter. (Mediaite)

Or Chinese. 🙂

There is truth in comedy.

*************

A bill already passed by the Senate and set to be rubber stamped by the House would make it mandatory for all new cars in the United States to be fitted with black box data recorders from 2015 onwards.

Section 31406 of Senate Bill 1813 (known as MAP-21), calls for “Mandatory Event Data Recorders” to be installed in all new automobiles and legislates for civil penalties to be imposed against individuals for failing to do so.

“Not later than 180 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall revise part 563 of title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, to require, beginning with model year 2015, that new passenger motor vehicles sold in the United States be equipped with an event data recorder that meets the requirements under that part,” states the bill.

Although the text of legislation states that such data would remain the property of the owner of the vehicle, the government would have the power to access it in a number of circumstances, including by court order, if the owner consents to make it available, and pursuant to an investigation or inspection conducted by the Secretary of Transportation.

Given the innumerable examples of both government and industry illegally using supposedly privacy-protected information to spy on individuals, this represents the slippery slope to total Big Brother surveillance of every American’s transport habits and location data.

The legislation, which has been given the Orwellian title ‘Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act’, sailed through the Senate after being heavily promoted by Democrats Harry Reid and Barbara Boxer and is also expected to pass the Republican-controlled House.

Given the fact that the same bill also includes a controversial provision that would empower the IRS to revoke passports of citizens merely accused of owing over $50,000 in back taxes, stripping them of their mobility rights, could the mandatory black boxes or a similar technology be used for the same purpose?

Biometric face-recognition and transdermol sensor technology that prevents an inebriated person from driving a car by disabling the automobile has already been developed, in addition to systems that refuse to allow the vehicle to start if the driver is deemed to be overtired.

The ultimate Big Brother scenario would be a system whereby every driver had to get de facto permission from the state to drive each time they get behind the wheel, once it had been determined from an iris scan that they were good citizens who have paid all their taxes and not misbehaved.

The push to pressure car manufacturers to install black box tracking devices in all new cars has been ongoing for over a decade. In 2006, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration encouraged but did not require automobile manufacturers to install the systems.

However, in February last year NHTSA administrator David Strickland said the government was considering making the technology mandatory in the wake of recalls of millions of Toyota vehicles.

Earlier this year it was reported that the NHTSA would soon formally announce that all new cars would be mandated to have the devices fitted by law, which has now been codified into the MAP-21 bill.

And now 10 years later what is there argument, “it would take 10 years”…Funny how that worked out.

  • There would be no production out of [ANWR] for at least 7 years.” -Sen. Jeff Bingaman (D-N.M.)
  • “Oil extracted from [ANWR] would not reach refineries for seven to ten years.” -Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-WA)
  • “No oil will flow from ANWR…until from 7 to 10 years from now.” -Sen. John Kerry (D-MA)
  • “Oil exploration in ANWR will not actually start producing oil for as many as 10 years.” -Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA)
  • “Even if we started drilling [in ANWR] tomorrow, the first barrel of crude oil would not make it to the market for at least 10 years.” -Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI)

Ten years later, oil and gas production on federal lands is at a nine-year low, a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline costs an average $3.90, and the president is busy blaming “speculators” for high oil prices – a scapegoat that even a former Democratic Commodity Futures Trading Commissioner rejects.

1086 Days later!

What you’re looking at is a view of today’s Senate Budget Committee meeting, at which Chairman Kent Conrad conducted a faux “markup” of his party’s FY 2013 budget resolution.  The near side of the table is where Democrats were supposed to sit.  Granted, this entire exercise was somewhat academic because its resulting product would receive neither a vote in this committee, nor in the Senate at large.  Details!  Throughout much of the session, all 11 Republican members were present to, you know, do their jobs.  Of the 12 committee Democrats, no more than 3 or 4 were in attendance at any given time, according to sources inside the meeting.  “[The Democrats] showed absolutely no interest in discussing our big picture problems or offering solutions,” a GOP budget aide tells Townhall. “Those who were there showed up only to make a brief statement for the record, then took off.  The photo speaks for itself.”  That it does.  In fact, in this particular photo, every single Democrat seat is vacant, except for that of Chairman Conrad.  What to make of this?  On one hand, why bother participating in a total farce?  On the other, these Dems could have at least feigned interest in a requirement of their own public service.  Senate Democrats have effectively renounced all pretense of responsible governance.  They have done so in an attempt to avoid losing their precious majority — the very purpose of which, I thought, was to govern.  We face a debt crisis that threatens to obliterate the America we know and love, yet an entire American political team has willfully and deliberately decided to eschew productive solutions in favor of sitting on the sidelines and shouting insults at their opponents.

“Give it a rest, Guy,” I can practically hear you saying, “you’ve been beating this dead horse for months.”  Yes.  Guilty as charged.  This is a disgrace, and I’ll keep flogging this story every chance I get — especially as the MSM largely shrugs and offers its preferred party a pass.  Here we have an entire house of Congress intentionally ignoring the law for political gain, as our nation approaches a terrifying solvency rubicon.  Conservatives cannot, and will not, shut up about this.  Parting thoughts:  (1) Since the year 2009, not one single Democrat or Democrat-aligned member of the United States Senate has voted “yes” on any budget.  They’ve refused to present their own ideas, of course, but they’ve also unanimously voted down every last alternative, from both Republicans and their own party’s president.  Think about that.  (2) Here the Democrats on the upper house’s Budget Committee, other than its retiring chairman.  Name ’em and shame ’em:

(1) DSCC Chair Patty Murray (D-WA)
(2) Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR), who has at least worked with Paul Ryan on a solid Medicare reform plan.
(3) Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL), who is in a tough 2012 re-election fight.
(4) Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), who also faces re-election this year.
(5) Sen. Ben Cardin (D- MD)
(6) Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT)
(7) “Moderate” Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA)
(8) Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR)
(9) “Moderate” Sen. Mark Begich (D-AK)
(10) Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE)

(11) Last but not least, Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), who did manage to find the time to blather on behalf of the defeated “Buffett Rule” on the Senate floor this week.  During his speech, Whitehouse all but conceded that the measure serves no practical purpose beyond electoral positioning and “fairness:”

“The Senate Republican Leader has described the bill as yet another proposal from the White House that won’t create a single job or lower the price at the pump by a penny. Well, the Minority Leader is absolutely right that the aim of this bill is not to lower the unemployment rate or the price of gasoline.”

Transparency

Another book for the Liberals to ban. 🙂

Prefacing her work with an apt introduction from ATF Special Agent Jay Dobyns, one of the whistleblowers who have selflessly helped to illuminate this very dark (redacted!) splotch on the Obama administration’s record, Dobyns lays out the landscape in which Fast and Furious was a ticking time bomb just waiting to explode. Over his decades of service, Dobyns witnessed the slow but sure shift in the management of the U.S. Justice Department’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives: from dedicated men with boots-on-the-ground know-how and well-weathered experience, to well-suited, expensively educated yuppies with agendas other than protecting the United States in mind. The instances of corruption, the ideological feuds, and the lack of integrity eventually began to dominate the agency in a way that could have only heralded disaster.

Katie takes it away from there, further setting the Fast and Furious stage by taking us through the horrendous death of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, and then detailing the well-documented anti-gun history of Obama and his cronies—and that’s when things start to get really hairy for the Obama administration. From the seeming pointlessness of allowing straw purchasers to send untraceable (until they turn up at crime scenes, that is) guns into Mexico, with no hope of catching the cartel kingpins; to forcing individual gun-shop business owners to sell their products to known criminals, regardless of the bewildered protestations of honest ATF agents; to the ATF’s bitter and dangerous retaliation against said honest agents—the possible motives of the people in charge become more and more ominous with every detail.

Despite the involved Obama appointees’ best efforts to downplay the impact of their recklessness, shift blame, avoid accountability, stonewall their watchdogs, and perpetuate the “botched” narrative, the unremitting investigations of Congressmen Darrell Issa, Charles Grassley, John Cornyn, and others have eventually revealed that there is something much deeper, and much more formidable, at play here than the perpetrators would like to portray.

In a readable style that’s thorough yet concise, detailed but not overwhelming, Katie presents all of the relevant players in this bloody scandal, and demonstrates the power of smaller media, the blogosphere, and determined individuals like her in uncovering the stories that the mainstream media would be all-too-willing to ignore, instead forcing the nation to finally sit up and pay attention.

While the dubious nature of outrages like the Obama administration’s Department of Energy loan guarantees and financial bailouts have illustrated the president’s willingness to throw taxpayers’ money around, the consequences of this scandal were, and will likely continue to be, American lives. As Katie points out, if the Obama administration is ready to be so cavalier with the Constitution and a few American lives here and there, just to push their leftist agenda—of what else are they capable? (DC)

ObamaCare for one. The EPA for for another. The DOJ in general. Dictatorship for the coup de tat. After all then it would be “fair” because they would get to run everyone’s life on micromanagement scale. How much more “fair” can you be? 🙂

Obama 2009: “The way to make government responsible is to hold it accountable.  The way to make government accountable is to make it transparent, so the American people can know exactly what decisions are being made, how they’re being well made, and whether their interests are being well served…For a long time now, there’s been too much secrecy in this city.  The old rules said that if there was a defensible argument for not disclosing something to the American people, then it should not be disclosed.  That era is now over, starting today.”

You may now laugh cynically…

Former Bush adviser Pete Wehner writes in the Weekly Standard that Republicans ought to “relentlessly” expose the president’s untrustworthiness through a robust program of fact-checking and timely flashbacks to his previous statements:

What is required when dealing with a man who habitually deconstructs truth is to destroy his public credibility. Voters need to be shown that Obama’s words and claims are, quite literally, unbelievable, whether they have to do with the past or the future, himself or others. That can be done in a manner that is tough-minded but not mean-spirited?—?by referring to the public record of Obama’s counterfeit charges and broken promises, which are now sufficiently numerous that they could fill the Library of Congress…

In ads and speeches, during interviews and through the use of surrogates, Romney and his party need to prosecute their case relentlessly. They need to imprint into the mind of voters a basic proposition: Barack Obama’s claims are worthless. They need to accomplish this with an avalanche of facts and by using Obama’s own words against him. The effect will be that Americans will appropriately devalue the president’s words. They will, in increasing numbers, reject his claims because they do not trust the source of the claims. This approach relies on a truth as old as the Scriptures, which teach that fresh water and salt water cannot flow from the same spring. (DC)

I agree. Also because since Liberals have no moral standards and will say or do anything to win regardless you have hit them back to beat them back.

() — People in NYC are lining up because they heard that people were getting a debit card loaded with as much as $1,000 of stimulus money. However, based on the latest information, there is no money to be given away. And yet people continue to line up and turn over their sensitive, personal information.

E & M Multi-Services is a tax preparation service that operates out of the back of a “dollar store” in the Fordham section of the Bronx. The company is reportedly collecting copies of Social Security cards, state ID cards and in exchange people are given a debit card from First California Bank. One small problem with this program — the cards are not loaded with $1,000 — not from Obama or anyone. Although, at least one person on the scene believed that the card would contain funds from President Obama:

“They said it was money from Obama.”

There is no more greedy with other people’s money than Liberals.
And they are so Transparent about it. 🙂

Access to the Good Life

Today is the deadline to tithe your loyalty and devotion to the Great Entitlers in Washington.

All hail the Great Entitlers! 🙂

Last year, almost 1,800 people renounced their U.S. citizenship or handing in their Green Cards. That’s a record number since the Internal Revenue Service began publishing a list of those who renounced in 1998. It’s also almost eight times more than the number of citizens who renounced in 2008, and more than the total for 2007, 2008 and 2009 combined.

Many say they parted ways with America for tax reasons.

The United States is one of the only countries to tax its citizens on income earned while they’re living abroad. (KFYI)

And the Highest Corporate Taxes in the World also helps greatly.

“I don’t want to pit Red America against Blue America. I want to be President of the United States of America.”-BARACK OBAMA, speech, Nov. 10, 2007

And the latest from the great “uniter”:

“We now have a Republican nominee who said that the Arizona laws are a model for the country, that — and these are laws that potentially would allow someone to be stopped and picked up and asked where their citizenship papers are based on an assumption,” President Obama said in an interview with Univision that aired over the weekend.

The Liberal Meme that is STILL inaccurate on purpose. Gee what a shocker…

“Racial profiling?” Univision reporter Enrique Acevedo asked.

“Very troublesome. And this is something that the Republican nominee has said should be a model for the country,” Obama said.

“So what we need is a change, either of Congress or we need Republicans to change their mind. And I think that this has to be an important debate throughout the country,” he said.

“What I have said to Latinos across the United States is that my compassion for this issue is undiminished. That, for example, when it comes for the DREAM kids, who have been raised as Americans and see themselves as Americans and want to serve their country or are willing to work hard in school, start businesses or working hard in laboratories or businesses, it is shameful that we cannot get that done. And so I am going to keep on pushing as hard as I can. And what I am going to do is encourage the Latino community to continue to ask every member of Congress where they stand on these issues,” Obama said.

“I will do everything that I can to try to get it done, but ultimately I’m going to need Congress to help me” Obama said of the DREAM Act.

Did he say the same thing was a ‘priority’ in 2007-8?? 🙂

After all, anyone who is not Pro-Illegal, Pro-Pandering, must therefore be a racist!

But if you pony up the cash, you can spend time personally with the Man himself though.

Barack Obama, November 3, 2007:

“One year from now, we have the chance to tell all those corporate lobbyists that the days of them setting the agenda in Washington are over. I have done more to take on lobbyists than any other candidate in this race – and I’ve won. I don’t take a dime of their money, and when I am President, they won’t find a job in my White House.”

But plenty of access. As a matter of fact it seems to be a requirement.

But we also know from experience that Liberals are famously “Don’t Do as I do, Do as I say” hypocrites from the word go. Every second of every day.

An analysis of White House access by the New York Times suggests that hope and change has changed nothing except maybe you don’t get to sleep in the Lincoln Bedroom. But in exchange for enriching the president’s campaign coffers, you do get to bend the president’s ear with a frequency greater than heads of state and Cabinet members.

“Among donors who gave $30,000 or less, about 20% visited the White House,” according to the Times analysis written by Mike McIntire and Michael Luo in the paper’s April 15 edition. The analysis matched names in the visitor logs with donor records. “But among those who donated $100,000 or more, the figure rises to 75%,” write McIntire and Luo.

Clearly, President Obama’s much ballyhooed ban on lobbyist contributions has not prevented lobbyists and other representatives of special interests from visiting the White House frequently. Some of those who sought access, and quid for their quo, were quite open about it.

Patrick J. Kennedy, the former representative from Rhode Island, who donated $35,800 to an Obama re-election fund last fall while seeking administration support for a nonprofit venture, said contributions were simply a part of “how this business works.”

“If you want to call it ‘quid pro quo,’ fine,” Kennedy told the Times. “At the end of the day, I want to make sure I do my part.”

One of the more famous White House visitors we already know about is billionaire investor George Kaiser of Solyndra fame. Kaiser himself donated $53,000 to Obama’s 2008 election campaign, divided between Obama for America and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. A world-class bundler, Kaiser also raised between $50,000 and $100,000 from others for the president’s campaign.

According to White House visitor logs, between March 12, 2009, and April 14, 2011, Solyndra officials and visitors made no fewer than 20 trips to the White House.

In the week before the administration awarded Solyndra the first-ever green stimulus loan on March 20, 2009, in spite of numerous warnings of the company’s instability, Kaiser made three visits to the White House on March 12, 2009, and one on March 13.

We have documented how many of the administration’s economy-damaging policies can be traced to a system of crony capitalism. The administration has adopted an industrial policy of picking winners and losers, but too often the only winners are also campaign donors.

In announcing his candidacy in Springfield, Ill., on Feb. 10, 2007, Obama railed against the “cynics, the lobbyists, the special interests who’ve turned our government into a game only they can afford to play.”

“They write the checks and you get stuck with the bills, they get the access while you get to write a letter, they think they own this government, but we’re here today to take it back. The time for that kind of politics is over.”

Apparently not. Hypocrite, heal thyself.(IBD)

Naw, he needs the money to try and buy this election too.

Politico 2009: “It would be more honest if they admitted they made a mistake and came up with a narrower rule,” said Melanie Sloan, executive director of the government watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington. “Obviously, they can’t live with the rule, which is why they keep waving the magic wand and making exceptions. They’re saying one thing and doing another. It’s why the public is skeptical about politicians.”

Our predecessors understood that government could not, and should not, solve every problem. They understood that there are instances when the gains in security from government action are not worth the added constraints on our freedom. But they also understood that the danger of too much government is matched by the perils of too little; that without the leavening hand of wise policy, markets can crash, monopolies can stifle competition, the vulnerable can be exploited. And they knew that when any government measure, no matter how carefully crafted or beneficial, is subject to scorn; when any efforts to help people in need are attacked as un-American; when facts and reason are thrown overboard and only timidity passes for wisdom, and we can no longer even engage in a civil conversation with each other over the things that truly matter — that at that point we don’t merely lose our capacity to solve big challenges. We lose something essential about ourselves.
BARACK OBAMA, speech to joint session of Congress, sep. 9, 2009

“I have studied the Constitution as a student; I have taught it as a teacher; I have been bound by it as a lawyer and legislator. I took an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution as Commander-in-Chief, and as a citizen, I know that we must never – ever – turn our back on its enduring principles for expedience sake.“-BARACK OBAMA, speech, May 21, 2009

I added that one for comic irony. 🙂

The Future

<<Doorbell rings>>

You open the door.

A man in a Suit stands before you. “Hello, I am From The IRS and I’m here to get you signed up for Health Insurance…”

Now, It’s not a nightmare. It’s Obamacare!

Ok, so it is a nightmare, after all. 🙂

I was blogging about this nearly 3 years ago when this blog started.

Enter 500 new IRS agents. Call them The Door-to-Door Jackboot.

Cost: Half a billion dollars, paid for off-the-books by taxpayers through a massive $1 billion Health and Human Services slush fund that got tucked into the bill.

The only conclusion from this stealth move is that the Obama administration expects massive noncompliance from taxpayers with its unpopular mandate.

And that raises questions about its legitimacy as a law. Passed through trickery, bribery and without a bipartisan majority, ObamaCare is already on shaky ground.

The reform’s continuing lack of popularity with the public, as recent polls show, also feeds the problem.

ObamaCare ultimately boils down to the public’s willingness to accept its mandate. That they haven’t and that President Obama’s only weapon of persuasion is to threaten them speak volumes about the law’s viability.

As we’ve known since our nation’s founding, no law can prevail without the consent of the governed. (IBD)

Unless you have no intention of caring about that “consent” and simply use force. Much like Colonial Days with King Obama standing in for King George III.

The New WAR

“I think the war on women is real,” Biden said in an interview with MSNBC’s Ed Schultz. “And look, I tell you where it’s going to intensify with appointments to the Supreme Court in the next presidential term.

So that the politicizing of the Supreme Court is complete and they’ll have a majority of radical leftist that will rubber stamp anything they want because it’s about ideology not Constitutionality.

After all, the Constitution is just a annoyance to the Left and if they can have the highest court in the land do what they want then you have no choice but to do as they say because you’ll have no recourse.

Liberal Nirvana.

Now that’s a threat you should take seriously.

YET MORE GREEN BLOOD

Get ready for the next Solyndra. Sure, you’ve heard those words before. Over the past few months, several companies that had federal backing — Beacon Power, Range Fuels, and Ener1 — all failed. And another one is almost surely on the way. Here’s my prediction: Within 18 months, A123 Systems, the battery maker that got a $249 million grant from the Department of Energy, will be bankrupt.

Battery fires and defective batteries to Fisker (The Obama green car company that was located in FINLAND because of costs) aside.

Compare the sales of the Volt (2,289 vehicles sold in March) with those of more traditional vehicles. In March alone, Toyota sold 27,711 Priuses, and the Japanese automaker expects sales of the popular hybrid-electric car to remain strong. Meanwhile, March sales of the venerable Toyota Corolla — which gets about 34 miles per gallon on the highway, nearly the same as the Volt — totaled 28,289. Oh, and the sticker price on the Corolla — about $16,000 — is less than half that of the Volt, which sells for about $40,000.

The Chevy Volt hybrid, has been so disappointing that GM has had to idle production at its Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant twice this year.

Last month, when the company released its 2011 financials, it tried to put a positive spin on the results, pointing out that revenues had increased by 64 percent to $159 million. But it couldn’t obscure the bad news: Losses had increased even faster — by 69 percent to $257.7 million. At the end of 2011, the company’s long-term debt was $146 million while cash on hand totaled $186 million.

To be clear, A123 hasn’t failed yet. But the class-action lawyers are smelling blood. Since the beginning of the month, six firms have filed lawsuits claiming A123 has committed securities fraud.

On Friday, A123’s stock was selling for $0.92 per share. Look out below. (It was $13.50 when it was first offered in 2009).

But I’m sure it’s someone else’s fault. Isn’t that the Liberal meme?

Maybe, if ObamaCare survives and it’s “constitutional” for the Government to mandate you buy a product or else the more “flexible” Obama with a Social Justice Partisan Liberal Supreme Court will just mandate you must buy an Electric Car or else.

After all, GM is run effectively buy the UAW and they are one of the biggest donors of cash to Democrats so he wouldn’t have an incentive. 🙂

All Hail King Obama!

And if not…Is that the Doorbell ringing???…. 🙂

Look what “Hope and Change” brought us… 😦
According to the Congressional Budget Office (the same nonpartisan bean-counters who project that on Obama’s current spending proposals the entire U.S. economy will cease to exist in 2027) Obama’s Buffett Rule will raise — stand well back — $3.2 billion per year. Or what the United States government currently borrows every 17 hours. So in 514 years it will have raised enough additional revenue to pay off the 2011 federal budget deficit. If you want to mark it on your calendar, 514 years is the year 2526. There’s a sporting chance Joe Biden will have retired from public life by then, but other than that I’m not making any bets.At the current pace of spending government will have spent by then  – $65,528,575,000,000,000.00

Anyone for more taxes and spending? 🙂

What the president meant to say was: “It will help us close our deficit … for 2011 … within a mere half-millennium!” (Pause for deafening cheers and standing ovation.)

The current federal debt burden works out at about $140,000 per federal taxpayer, and President Obama is proposing to increase both debt and taxes.

Are you one of those taxpayers? How much more do you want added to your $140,000 debt burden? As the Great Magician would say, pick a number, any number. Sorry, you’re wrong. Whatever you’re willing to bear, he’s got more lined up for you.

Your share of federal deficit grows by $50 per day.

The Obama No-Plan plan means the end of everything. That really ought to be the only slogan the Republicans need this fall:

What’s your plan? And all you hear are crickets chirping.

But don’t worry, they’re federally funded crickets, chirping at a research facility in North Carolina investigating whether there’s any correlation between chirping crickets and the inability of America’s political institutions to effect meaningful course correction.

Hey, relax. The Buffett Rule will pick up the tab.

And your kids and grandkids and descendents ad infinitum, well, they are just a wealth waiting to be taxed to death for their own good and for the almighty “fairness”.

Andrew Malcolm: Has anyone seen Barack Obama recently?

You know, the optimistic hopeful fellow with the charming smile who promised so many positive things four and five years ago, how he was going to change the harsh, partisan tone of our nation’s capital and bring the country together as its first African American president.

Even allowing for political hyperbole, his empty resume and the invisible witnesses from the past, Obama was such a Real Good Talker that even some who didn’t vote for him still had hope that he could change some things for the better in what seemed a sadly-splintered society.

WTH did that Obama go? Have you listened recently to this Chicago Doppelganger who’s replaced him? This 2012 Obama is strident and mean, even deceitful, divisive, telling half-truths after half-truths. He’s using Air Force One as his personal Brinks truck with wings to collect cash all over the country, disguising the trips as official.

He tries to intimidate the Supreme Court, an equal branch of government, when its thinking might stray from his. He distorts history, and if no one calls him, then it’s true. If he’s caught, this Obama says you obviously mis-heard. Because, as everyone knows, he could never mis-speak.

The economy, like everything else adverse, is someone else’s fault. But if only we borrowed and spent a trillion dollars, unemployment would stay beneath 8%, Obama promised. It soared far above. It’s still above. No apology. No acknowledgment. Now, he hails any dip as proof of progress when, in fact, it comes because so many just give up seeking work.

He chastises House Republicans for their draconian budget when his Senate Democrats haven’t written a single one in three years; so, the fiscal drift abides. And wait till he exaggerates the frightening things the GOP wants to do, instead of presenting his own ideas.

Obama claims credit for the bottom half of a pipeline he had nothing to do with, when he killed the top half. He brags that domestic oil drilling is up when the part he’s responsible for is down.

He says no one should ever go to Las Vegas on the taxpayer’s dime. Then his wife, daughters and entourage do just that.

This year’s Obama talks of the importance of windmills, algae and green energy, but he takes a 17-SUV motorcade to a photo op with an electric car. He lambasts oil companies for getting the same legal tax incentives (he calls them “subsidies”) that other companies receive, hoping to aim anger at them so voters won’t notice that gas prices have doubled since his inauguration with Honest Abe’s Bible.

Take this Tuesday. The 2012 Obama flew to Florida for an official presidential speech on the economy, then three fundraisers. That way his campaign only pays a fraction of Air Force One’s $182,000 per flight hour cost. All presidents do that, though none have done near as many.

But read the four speeches. You can’t tell which is official and which is political. They’re all political. He can’t be a real president for one lousy speech? Why the phony presidential fig leaf? To chintz the United States of America out of a few thousand bucks when he plans to raise a billion?

The Buffet Rule? Americans have always admired the successful. The only thing wrong with rich people is we’re not one of them — yet. But now he’s pitting most of us against rich folks, which is him, come to think of it. The only way he’s bringing us together now is to resent their paying a smaller legal rate because theirs is a different kind of income.

And speaking of taxes, whch are due Tuesday, how can the president of the United States allow 36 of his own White House aides to fall $833,000 behind in their tax payments?

How is that what the first Obama offered, making him an example of American success? (Hint: His GOP opponent is far richer than Obama and earned it the old-fashioned way through work, not fronting books.)

OK, Obama wants political skirmishes all over on any petty thing so people won’t notice the absence of any conceivably positive record to run on. Risky when Americans start paying attention. But if that’s his only card. It’s all the Republicans’ fault, of course. That’s the candidate in him, the one that prefers performing for adoring crowds instead of performing Oval Office duties.

But whatever happened to the president part? The leader. The principled man who through his personal story, skills and charm was going to inspire, convince, cajole Americans as diverse as himself to work together for a common national success? That official part has merged with the political, like the four Florida speeches. Now, he’s just trying to fool everybody about everything.

In a way, this could be good news for Republicans. The duplicate Ernst Blofeld makes Mitt Romney look like Mr. Rogers.

But without real presidential leadership, Obama’s hand-picked harpie atop the Democratic National Committee feels empowered to assign a hired gun to dismiss his opponent’s wife, the cancer-surviving mother of five sons, as someone who’s never worked a day in her life. Are they that scared already?

Seriously? We’re going to pit now one kind of working woman against another? The guy who talks about having so many women in his life isn’t going to fire the women responsible for that? He thinks American women will buy this stuff?

OK, Obama was raised by grandparents because he didn’t always have a stay-at-home mom or dad. But this is a nation, not a dysfunctional family or a windy city party where factions are left to their own wards and Solyndras.

Obama is the guy who said his own wife was off limits politically, the guy whose mother-in-law has resided since Day One in the White House at taxpayer expense as a live-in nanny so the first lady can campaign for money and healthy foods? But a woman who stays at home with her kids at no public expense can be trashed because of her party?

We were never exactly fond of the Original Obama. But we’d take him any day over the twilight character that inhabits the Oval Office now.

But some how this will probably be “racist” and re-edited by NBC… 🙂

Bolling Over

Since March, <Eric> Bolling (Fox Business Network)  has pleaded to President Obama to reach out to him about his ideas for reducing the price of gasoline, even giving out his phone number on the air during Fox & Friends in hopes that the Commander-in-Chief would give him a ring to discuss his “silver bullet” solution.

No such luck, especially when your rigid ideology does not permit it. The President and his “green” commandos only want less supply and higher priced oil so that you’ll be forced (in their minds) to kiss up to their “green” agenda.

The Agenda is the Agenda after all.

You know, the one that has cost jobs and a well over half a trillion dollars of taxpayer money in one bankruptcy after another.

So what if the technology isn’t there yet and it costs multiple times more than what we have now — It’s better than oil!! 🙂

So we have $4 a gallon in April.

Twice as much as it was when Obama took office. But don’t worry, it’s still Bush/Republican/Rich people’s fault.

And you’ll always have this sage advice from Candidate Obama in 2008: “There are things you can do individually, though, to save energy,” Obama said. “Making sure your tires are properly inflated – simple thing. But we could save all the oil that they’re talking about getting off drilling – if everybody was just inflating their tires? And getting regular tune-ups? You’d actually save just as much!”

Now don’t you “feel” better. 🙂

The EPA & Moratoriums have nothing to do with it.

This effects the entire economy. You’re paying for the inflation in trucking & transportation costs of just about everything you buy from T-Shirts to Peanut Butter (which is up 27% in the last 2 years by the way– I guess the guys at Big Peanut are getting fat rich over it!) Where is Rachael Maddow when you need her! We Need the Jiffy Police!! We Need to expose Big Peanut for the greedy, capitalist SOBs that they are! 🙂

Your costs are going up. Have you noticed?

The Environmentalists and their lawyers are a bane on our existence in the 21st Century with their 19th Century mentality.

The EPA, run by environmental ideologues crushes businesses and us with choking regulations.

But there is another predator out there that most don’t see because “Big Oil” is the evil Boogeyman by the Left.

Which as a sidenote I never quite got because the oil itself comes largely from the Middle East so the money ultimately goes there because that is where the product came from to begin with so they are ultimately the “source”.

Oh and there’s this tidbit: The Chinese government dealt the public relations strategy of green technology advocates in the Obama administration a blow last month when Premier Wen Jiabao announced that the state-run economy would stop expanding its wind and solar industries, choosing instead to focus on nuclear, hydroelectric and shale — or fracking — as the energies of the future.

“It is getting tougher and tougher for the Obama administration to argue that somehow we’re in this big race for green power worldwide when the rest of the world seems to have decided that the race isn’t worth winning,” Daniel Kish, the senior vice president for policy at the Institute for Energy Research, told The Daily Caller.

The Chinese were, after all, the reason Solyndra, Beyond Solar, and other “green” companies went bankrupt. It had nothing to do with mismanagement at all.

But back the hidden danger.

It’s The Banks. You know, the “rich” people who were bailed out by Obama in 2009. The ones that are still bankrolling politicians on both sides. The ones who when effectively forced by the Democrats to make whacko risk loans to people who could afford them started a trading industry to try and package and re-sell impossible debt. It worked for about 10 years then crashed the entire economy horribly in 2007.

They are the largest “speculators” on the petroleum market. It was estimated by Eric Bolling that they add around 17 cents a gallon alone.

Government taxes on gasoline makes more money than Oil Companies do on the Oil itself.

The fact that 87% of off-shore oil is inaccessible because the government says so (because the environmentalist say so) and that new drilling is all but prohibited by the Obama Administration is a real problem. Not a phony Class Warfare one.

The Keystone Pipeline, folks. remember that?

The “increase” in production that Obama sights when criticized isn’t due to him AT ALL. And he knows it, but a liberal is more than happy to lie if it can throw you off the sent and the class warfare is just a bonus.

Put simply: If you lower supply what happens to the price when demand goes up?

“So…the solution…” Bolling announced.

“You know a little bit about this, don’t you, Eric?” Palin interjected.

“I’ve had 20 years experience in the trading world in oil and gas…” Bolling noted. “Can we bring in the top secret…”

Suddenly a security guard brought out Bolling’s top secret envelope encased in a bulletproof suitcase.

“We have a top secret silver bullet here,” Palin observed. “We are criticized, I know I am, for preaching all the time, drill baby, drill. Well, this goes beyond drill baby drill!”

“If I could ask you to open — to reveal the envelope so I can step away and put this around,” Bolling instructed Palin.

Palin finally opened the envelope, and the cat was out of the bag.

“Top secret…In addition to drill baby drill,” Palin clarified.

Bolling spun his chalk board around which read, “RAISE ENERGY MARGIN REQUIREMENTS, ALL ENERGY TRADED ON EXCHANGE.”

“It doesn’t replace drill, baby, drill, Governor,” Bolling explained. “It’s in in addition. Raise energy trading margin requirements. All energy has to be traded on an exchange. Bear with me. It’s a little technical. The reason why so many billions of barrels are traded…is because the banks can trade it. People are allowed to trade it for little or no money down. At some point, Goldman Sachs decided they want to buy oil barrels it pushes the price up. If they sell them in the same day, they don’t have to put a penny up to do that trade. It’s a free trade for them. If they want to hold it overnight, sometimes they will pay up to $2,000-$3,000 on a contract that is worth $100,000. So governor, this we need to make this equation a little bit more even. We need to bring this bowl down to something more reasonable.”

What I took from this, because I’m no economics genius, was that if you raise the risk (the price paid for those speculations) the people who are speculating now will think a bit more before pulling the trigger.

If there is no risk and all reward the sky’s the limit.

And If I buy it for X and sell it to the next guy for X+2 I just made a profit but now the other guy has to sell it for even more to make their profit so the price goes up and up and up.

The problem is that the smaller investors who aren’t the deep pocket banks could be hurt by it.

So like most ideas it’s not perfect but it’s better than the one we got.

And if it doesn’t work, well, there’s always “Drill, Baby, Drill” 🙂

Because the best way to beat high demand is high supply and that means we use what we have instead of getting the majority of it from people who have even more dubious and devious purpose than Liberals, people like Hugo Chavez, George Soros, Iran,The Middle East.

Natural Gas Prices show this. 5 years ago they were at an All-time high. Now with a much higher supply the price is low.

But to do it you have to have the Political will to fight Liberals, Environmentalists and Their Lawyers, and the Networks –which boils down to Liberals anyways.

And they don’t play nice. They don’t play by any rules. They don’t respond to logic and reason. And they are as mean, nasty, and intolerant a bunch as you’ll ever meet.

But they are the ones you have to defeat.

And they are the ones that must be defeated in 2012.

Period. End of Story.

Don’t Do I Do, Do As I Say

Political Cartoons by Gary Varvel

Another case in the nearly infinite Liberal line of “Don’t do as I do, Do as I say”.

So I’ll get my surrogate’s to do it for me and then I can denounce it as something I didn’t say or endorse but we got the cheap shot in anyways.

Enter Hilary Rosen (“Never worked a day in her life”) to basically call all stay-at-home moms lazy, and stupid so they should just shut up.

That Ann Romney is worthless. Mitt is a Cultist Mormon. Republicans are only interested in Rich People. Republicans Hate Women. Blah…Blah…Blah…

When that goes awry (or did it? :)), they feign an apology, the President says it ‘s not cool and everyone just moves on like nothing happened.

But they got their shot in. They got their seed planted. They made their childish punch on the nose. Time to move on to the next one.

President Obama strongly disagreed with Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen’s controversial comment about Ann Romney, saying today that “there’s no tougher job than being a mom.”

“Anybody who would argue otherwise, I think, probably needs to rethink their statement,” the president told Bruce Aune of ABC’s Cedar Rapids affiliate KCRG.

But: “We Didn’t Have The Luxury For Michelle Not To Work”

Then why did your surrogate say it at all then?

Because it was a political ploy. A surgical strike in the phoney “War on Women” meme that the Democrats created and The Democrats are fanning the flames of.

The president went a step further, suggesting candidates’ families should be off limits. “I don’t have a lot of patience for commentary about the spouses of political candidates,” he told KCRG.

But you don’t see this surrogate getting fired or anything substantial, just a blow-off apology and some faint heartened denouncing of it. Nope, the strike was made. The poison was injected. Time to move on.

And I get to look like I’m above the fray in the process. A Double plus good day for me. Yeah, Team Obama!!

And the push back: The liberal Lily Ledbetter Fairness in Pay act that the Democrats passed in 2009.

Female employees in the Obama White House make considerably less than their male colleagues, records show.

According to the 2011 annual report on White House staff, female employees earned a median annual salary of $60,000, which was about 18 percent less than the median salary for male employees ($71,000).

Welcome to Liberal Politics 2012. The Sandbox is open for business and Don’t do as I do, Just believe everything I say.

Alinky’s “Rules for Radicals”-Rule 6: A good tactic is one your people enjoy. “If your people aren’t having a ball doing it, there is something very wrong with the tactic.”

And being childish and acting like a self-righteous bully are definite things liberals find fun.

“That’s another trillion dollars in tax cuts over the next ten years going to the top 1% of American taxpayers. [baby crying] I don’t blame her for crying. She is going to inherit it. She’s going to pay for it. That’s one smart baby,” Vice President Joe Biden said at a campaign event today.

Yeah, the $6 Trillion he and Obama added to the debt doesn’t count…because…wait for it…That was Bush’s Fault!!! 🙂

Obviously, he wasn’t talking about the E-Trade baby… 🙂

Oh, and then there’s the expiration of “Bush Tax Cuts” which will raise taxes on EVERYONE Jan 1, 2013.

And the “investments” (aka spending) that Congress and the President want to do more of.

None of that counts, ya see.

OBAMA (In Ohio): Well, you know, I hope it’s not just a negative campaign. I hope this is a serious debate about our future.

BWAH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!

And he can say that with a straight face, folks!

Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid!

Addendum: Labor Secretary Hilda Solis weighed in on comments made by Hilary Rosen about Ann Romney being unable to relate to working women Thursday, telling The Daily Caller that she thinks “Michelle Obama is a fine example of what the women are in our society.”

“Those working moms that have had to work so hard now, stretch their dollars, and may not even be able to move up in the workplace if their wages haven’t kept up,” said Solis.

“That’s what we’re fighting for… so they can put money away to save. Many women aren’t able to do that and that may not be the case with the nominee — the potential nominee for the Republican Party’s spouse — but I’m just telling you that that’s what I’m hearing day in and day out.”

This is the lady who set up a hotline for Illegal Aliens to rat on their bosses if they “mistreated “THEM.
Wonder if anyone in The Ministry of Truth (Media) will ask Obama about this one?
🙂
But this is even better. It’s about “fairness” of what the Government can give you…

The Message Rule

“There are others who are saying: ‘Well, this is just a gimmick. Just taxing millionaires and billionaires, just imposing the Buffett Rule, won’t do enough to close the deficit,’ ” Obama declared Wednesday. “Well, I agree.”

But it works for ME, what the hell, might as well…I will say anything to get re-elected so I can be “flexible”.

“The notion that it doesn’t solve the entire problem doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t do it at all,” he explained.

Who cares about the economics. It’s good politics.

So let’s cut spending, it won’t solve the whole problem but it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do it right? 🙂

Appointing the Simpson-Bowles commission and then disregarding its findings, offering a plan for business tax reform only, and issuing a series of platitudes. The Buffett Rule, rather than overhauling the tax code, would simply add another layer.

And another layer of bureaucratic morass can’t be bad and beside it’s more “fair” and that’s much more important. 🙂

A search of the White House Web site yields 17,400 mentions of the Buffett Rule — a proposal that would bring in $47 billion over 10 years  (That’s 4.7 billion a year– The government current has a debt of over 3 billion a day!- Wow! That’s a great plan!), much of that from 22,000 wealthy households. By contrast, the alternative minimum tax gets fewer than 600 mentions on the site. The AMT, if not changed, will take about $1 trillion over a decade from millions of taxpayers, many of whom earn less than $200,000 a year.

And the DEMOCRATS passed the AMT back in 1968 as a way to stick it to 155 millionaires!

YES, I SAID 155 Millionaires!

In August 1969 as he was preparing the next year’s budget <Treasury Secretary> Barr warned that the country faced a taxpayers’ revolt. He explained, according to the Washington Post, that in 1967 there were a total of 155 individuals with incomes over $200,000 who did not pay any federal income taxes; twenty of them were millionaires. These individuals successfully used all tax loopholes available to legally evade paying taxes. The revelation attracted wide media attention and led to public shock.

Sound familiar? Gee, Liberals don’t stray very far from their “fair” tree do they. 🙂

And funny how that all worked out. You don’t think it could happen again do you? 🙂

The politics of the Buffett Rule — it has no chance of passing when the Senate takes it up next week — are so overt that Obama’s remarks Wednesday were virtually indistinguishable from a section of his campaign speech in Florida on Tuesday.

Wednesday: “If we’re going to keep giving somebody like me or some of the people in this room tax breaks that we don’t need and we can’t afford, then one of two things happens: Either you’ve got to borrow more money to pay down a deeper deficit, or . . . you’ve got to tell seniors to pay a little bit more for their Medicare. You’ve got to tell the college student, ‘We’re going to have to charge you higher interest rates on your student loan.’ . . . That’s not right.”

So does this mean he admits to being an evil “rich” Millionaire. Aren’t they untrustworthy, selfish, self-centered, egotists only looking out for #1?-themselves 🙂

Tuesday: “If somebody like me, who is doing just fine, gets tax breaks I don’t need and that the country can’t afford, then one of two things is going to happen: Either it gets added to our deficit . . . or, alternatively, you’ve got to take it away from somebody else — a student who’s trying to pay for their college, or a senior trying to get by with Social Security and Medicare. . . . That’s not right.”

Parts of Obama’s “official” speech will no doubt be repeated on the stump, including the points that “we just need some of the Republican politicians here in Washington to get on board with where the country is,” that Obama cut taxes 17 times (the bobbleheads nodded in agreement), and the contention that Republicans today would view Ronald Reagan as a “wild-eyed, socialist, tax-hiking class warrior.”

Nothing is inherently wrong with campaign-style rhetoric from the White House; George W. Bush used it repeatedly to pass his tax cuts and in his attempt at a Social Security overhaul. The pity is that Obama doesn’t use his unrivaled political skill to sell a tax plan of more consequence — and less gimmickry. (Dana Millbank)

The federal tax code with its 44000 pages, 5.5 million words, and 721 different forms so whose going to notice one more gimmick?

According to the National Taxpayers Union, we each waste about 12 hours a year, every year, filling out this crazy stuff. Schedule B. Schedule C. Above the line. Below the line. Deductions, exemptions, non-refundable credits. Medical bills over 7.5% of adjusted gross income. The instruction booklet for the 1040 now runs to 189 pages. No kidding. Seventy-five years ago, says the NTU, it was two pages.

The U.S. tax code is insane and out of control. It’s tripled in a decade. It now runs to 3.8 million words. To put that in context, William Shakespeare only needed 900,000 words to say everything he had to say. Hamlet. Othello. The history plays. The sonnets. The whole shebang.

Your tax bill this year is a lie. You’re only seeing about two-thirds of the full cost of government services. Really. Taxes are $2.3 trillion. Government spending is $3.6 trillion. The rest is being put on the national credit card.

The tax bill is a lie every year. We’ve only paid our bills in full on April 15 five times in the last fifty years. The last president to balance the books every year he was in office? Calvin Coolidge — back in the 1920s.

But ultimately he’s not selling anything but himself. It’s all about HIM. The universe does revolve around him and he just has to get you to see it too.

So it begins…

In 2008, a mostly unknown Barack Obama ran for president on an inclusive agenda of “hope and change.” That upbeat message was supposed to translate into millions of green jobs, fiscal sobriety, universal health care, a resetting of Bush foreign policy, and racial unity.

Four years later, none of those promises will be themes of his 2012 re-election campaign. Gas has more than doubled in price. Billions of dollars have been wasted in insider and subsidized wind and solar projects that have produced little green energy.

Unemployment rates above 8 percent appear the new norm, when 5 percent in the past was dubbed a “jobless recovery.”

From the Middle East to the Korean peninsula, the world seems on the brink. Modern racial relations are at a new low.

If borrowing $4 trillion in eight years was “unpatriotic,” as Obama once labeled George W. Bush, no one quite knows how to term the addition of $5 trillion in new debt in less than four years. ObamaCare is unpopular with the public. Its constitutionality now rests with the Supreme Court.

After four years, the claims of “Bush did it” and “It might have been worse” grow stale. So re-election will rest not on a new agenda, or an explanation of what happened, but on a divide-and-conquer strategy. Translated, that means Obama will find fissures in the voting public over fairness, expand them, and then cobble together various angry partisans in hopes of achieving a bare majority. Such an us/them strategy is not new in American history.

There are suddenly new enemies called the “one percent” — those who make more than $200,000 per year and who “do not pay their fair share.” Apparently in a zero-sum economy, this tiny minority has taken too much from the majority and thereby caused the four-year lethargy that followed the 2008 meltdown. Andrew Jackson, William Jennings Bryan and Franklin D. Roosevelt all ran, with varying success, against the selfish “rich.”

Congress is also now a convenient enemy of the people. Although it was Democratically controlled in Obama’s first two years, and the Senate remains so, the new theme insists that a Republican House stops the Democrats from finishing all the good things they started. When support for 16 years of the New Deal had evaporated by 1948, Harry Truman ran successfully against a “do-nothing” Republican Congress that had blocked his own big-government “Fair Deal” follow-up and thus supposedly stalled the economy.

In 2009, Obama pushed through his health care plan by a narrow partisan margin in the House, despite constitutional questions about the individual mandate. Now, as the Supreme Court seems skeptical of the legality of ObamaCare, the president seems to be running against “unelected” justices. That could work too. In 1968, Richard Nixon squeaked by Hubert Humphrey in a divisive campaign, in part by lambasting the activist Warren Court that had done everything from outlawing school prayer to supporting school busing.

Team Obama has seized on the Democrats’ allegations of a “war on women,” waged by both Republican and Catholic grandees against federal subsidies of birth control. For the first time since the campaign of John F. Kennedy a half-century ago, the role of the Catholic Church in politics is suddenly a landmark issue.

The president faults “Big Oil” and tension in the Middle East — not his own failure to develop vast new gas and oil reserves on public lands — for high gas prices. Jimmy Carter likewise blamed greedy oil companies and the Middle East in 1980, after gasoline prices spiked and lines formed at filling stations.

Suddenly, after the Trayvon Martin tragedy and what may prove to be murderous white vigilantism in Oklahoma, race again looms large. President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder have weighed in often on that issue. The former castigated police for acting “stupidly” in one incident, and more recently reminded the nation of the racial affinities between himself and Trayvon Martin. The latter blasted the nation’s reluctance to discuss race as cowardly, and alleged racial bias among his own congressional overseers. Race is always an explosive wedge issue. In 1964, Lyndon Johnson ran successfully in part on the need to expand civil rights, while in 1968 Richard Nixon found traction in the backlash against racial violence.

If Obama can cobble together disaffected young people, greens, women, minorities and the poor — who all believe a nefarious “they” have crushed their dreams — then massive debt and deficits, high unemployment, sluggish growth and spiraling gas prices won’t decide the election.

Lots of presidential candidates have run by identifying such enemies of the people, rather than debating the general state of the nation — sometimes successfully, sometimes not.

But the problem with an us/them strategy is not just winning an election, but trying to put back together what was torn asunder. (Victor David Hanson)

Assuming a Democrat would want to do that to begin with. Divide and Conquer is more satisfying when you get to the Conquer bit.

Conquering is good.

Conquering is “fair”

Conquering gives you the power to do what you want when you want because you want to. And doesn’t every “selfless” and “fair” liberal just want “fairness” and “justice” for all. :0

False Choices

“The more the American people see of Mitt Romney, the less they like him and the less they trust him,” Obama campaign manager Jim Messina said in a statement issued shortly after Santorum suspended his campaign.

The same can be said of you Mr. President (but the Liberal Media is still trying to hide it as much as they can). But I NEVER liked what I saw to begin with.

Arrogant, condescending Socialist who wanted to run everyone’s life for them and who has a virtual Messiah Complex.

Everything I’ve ever wanted! 😦

“What drags our entire economy down is when the benefits of economic growth and productivity go only to the few,” Obama said.

“The gap between those at the very, very top and everybody else keeps growing wider and wider and wider and wider,” Obama said.

The president argued that government-led investments in the future economy were not a “socialist dream” as some of his conservative opponents would have it, but were essential to future prosperity.

“Let me you ask you: what’s the better way to make our economy stronger? Do we give another $150,000 tax break to every millionaire and billionaire in the country?” the president said.

“Or should we make investments in education and research and health care and our veterans?”

A False Choice Mr. President. Just like you.

Spend more Money. The Liberal answer to everything. Just Spend Even More!

$16 Trillion Dollars in Debt not good enough for you?

And giving more money to Education means giving more money to the Unions that turn around and give it to the Democrats. Giving more money to education is not about giving more money to the children.

Imagine That. 🙂

“So these investments — in things like education and research and health care — they haven’t been made as some grand scheme to redistribute wealth from one group to another,” the president said today at Florida Atlantic University. “This is not some socialist dream,” Obama added, as he called for tax increases on millionaires today to pay for those investments.

And he can say that with a straight face because he’s a practiced politician and his lap dog media are not going to challenge him on it.

And this ‘magical’ class warfare tax on Millionaire will do absolutely nothing for either job creation or debt reduction. But it will satisfy the heart and soul of liberalism — Divide and Conquer Class Warfare & Envy!

“I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.” — Candidate Obama to then private Citizen Joe The Plumber.

Rep. Jan Schakowsky 2011: “You Don’t Deserve To Keep All Your Money”
“I’ll put it this way, you don’t deserve to keep all of it. It’s not a question of deserving, because what government is, is those things that we decide to do together.”

So “spread the wealth around” just don’t say those exact words and that isn’t what you mean even if it is. Orwell smiles upon you my son.

“If we would just convert these investments that we’re making through out government in education, research and healthcare. If we just turn those into tax cuts, especially for the wealthy, then somehow the economy is going to grow stronger. That’s the theory,” President Obama said about the right at a campaign event on the tax code in Boca Raton, Florida today.

“Here is the news. We tried this for eight years before I took office. We tried it. It is not like we did not try it. At the beginning of the last decade, the wealthiest Americans got two huge tax cuts, in 2001 and 2003. Meanwhile, insurance companies, financial institutions, there were all allowed to write their own rules, find their way around the rules. We were told the same thing we’re being told now — this is going to lead to faster job growth, it’s going to lead to greater prosperity for everybody. Guess what? It didn’t,” he said an audience at Florida Atlantic University.

See what I mean. Can’t you just feel the love. 🙂

Time to bring out one of my favorite videos yet again:

Romney, a former venture capitalist, paid a tax rate of just 13.9 percent in 2010, a far lower rate than the average American paid, as his fortune is mainly based on investment and not salaried income.

Warren Buffet’s income, even more so. Funny how that worked out…. 🙂
