The New Terrorists

Democrat Civility:

NY Times: You know what they say: Never negotiate with terrorists. It only encourages them.
These last few months, much of the country has watched in horror as the Tea Party Republicans have waged jihad on the American people. Their intransigent demands for deep spending cuts, coupled with their almost gleeful willingness to destroy one of America’s most invaluable assets, its full faith and credit, were incredibly irresponsible. But they didn’t care. Their goal, they believed, was worth blowing up the country for, if that’s what it took. Like ideologues everywhere, they scorned compromise.

They just proposed solutions and the Democrats refused to vote on it and the President threatened to veto it!

But don’t worry, the Liberal media will ignore this inflammatory language or at the least agree with it and pass it on.

So we’re back to the Summer of ’09 where people who disagree with Democrats are “domestic terrorists” and the this hyper-partisan over-the-top hyperbole will not be challenged by “the media” because they either agree with it or just have no interest in challenging it.

Just as they did with the much-loathed bank bailout, which most Republicans spurned even though financial calamity loomed, the Democrats will do the responsible thing. Apparently, that’s their problem.

For now, the Tea Party Republicans can put aside their suicide vests. But rest assured: They’ll have them on again soon enough. After all, they’ve gotten so much encouragement.

Really, once you’ve gone the “suicide bomber” route to describe political opponents with budget disagreements you haven’t left yourself much wiggle room for future demagoguery. You’re already all-in.

And how do you “compromise”? 🙂

After accusing the Tea Party of being racist, sexist, homophobic, stupid, fake, and violent Timothy McVeigh prototypes, you’d think that the well of insults would be getting dry. In his Boston Globe column “Screaming Extremism,” Neal Gabler, however, manages to find a new one: The Tea Party is like al-Qaeda. His comparison reveals the left’s upside-down vision of both the Tea Party and the threat of terrorism.

Gabler doesn’t argue that the Tea Party is striving for a global Islamic caliphate, or that Osama bin Laden is a small-government libertarian. It’s nothing so simplistic as comparing the goals of two political movements. Rather, the Tea Party and al-Qaeda are alike in their methods: Both are “extremists” who try to be, in Gabler’s metaphor, the loudest voice at the cocktail party:

To assure yourself of attention, you have to do something so startling that you effectively stop the conversation altogether. In effect, you have to blow up the World Trade Center, or paint the streets in human blood as protesters in Thailand recently did, or threaten lawmakers and even spit on them as the Tea Partiers did, or call President Obama a traitor or a Hitler. You have to be an extremist. (boston.com)

Could Tea Party Rhetoric Lead to Another Oklahoma City? (CBS NEWS Headline on 4/19/11)

CBS News Headline 4/14/11: Tea Party Supporters: Who They Are and What They Believe

First Paragraph: They’re white. They’re older. And they’re angry.

Rep. Mike Doyle (D-Pa.) on the Debt “negotiations”:

“We have negotiated with terrorists,” an angry Doyle said, according to sources in the room. “This small group of terrorists have made it impossible to spend any money.”

Biden, driven by his Democratic allies’ misgivings about the debt-limit deal, responded: “They have acted like terrorists.”

Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) called seemed to enjoy the heat analogy, saying: “the Tea Partiers and the GOP have made their slash and burn lunacy clear, and while I do not love this compromise, my vote is a hose to stop the burning. The arsonists must be stopped. (Politico)

So do you think you can “compromise” with these people?

Do you think these people will take the $14,300,000,000,000 Debt seriously??

If they think any spending cuts hurts poor people and you’re a “terrorist” if you disagree is their capacity for “compromise” or “civility”?

Really?

Vice President Joe Biden ignited an international incident today when he called the Tea Party “terrorists,” causing the leader of al-Qaeda to demand an apology.

Just moments after Mr. Biden made his controversial remark, al-Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahiri appeared in a video to condemn the comment, which the terrorist called “hurtful.”

“I demand that the Vice President take back his offensive comment immediately,” Mr. al-Zawahiri said in the video, broadcast on Al-Jazeera.  “It has been very bad for our brand.”

Mr. Biden attempted to clarify his remark later in the day, telling reporters, “I in no way intended to insult the members of al-Qaeda.”

“Both al-Qaeda and the Tea Party tried to destroy the U.S. economy,” Mr. Biden elaborated.  “But in fairness to al-Qaeda, the Tea Party came a lot closer.” (Borowitz)

Get the idea yet?

It came to me in an epiphany that the Tea “Party” is  simply America’s Al-Qaeda.

The Tea “Party”, like Al-Qeada, advocates killing leaders with whom they disagree (see Nevada). The Tea “Party”, like Al-Qeada, hates homosexuals and women who think outside of their “family values”.

The Tea “Party”, like Al-Qaeda, is willing to use hate and lies and half truths to make its points. The Tea “Party” leaders use the media to show how successful they are by publishing false pictures of their gatherings (thanks Glenn Beck). The Tea “Party” has no purpose except like Al-Qaeda to overthrow the US Government and assure the failure of the present US President and our Country.

My conclusion – the Tea “Party” is America’s Al-Qaeda! (Progressive Columist Steve Ybarra)

So next time you see a Tea Partier, remember the words of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napalitano  for terrorism: “If You See Something, Say Something”

Call your local Thought Police and report the anti-american behavior. It’s your patriotic duty… 🙂

We are from the Government and we are here to Protect your from Tea Party Terrorists!! 🙂
