A 2011 Perspective

1984-movie-big-brother obama.jpg
Indeed, the GOP hopefuls have been thoroughly queried on a laundry list of issues ranging from immigration problems to the faltering economy, Iran’s nuclear program to trade deficits with China, the intricacies of climate change to strategies to combat terrorism, exploding government regulations to skyrocketing public debt, plus some uncomfortable questions about their pasts and their personal lives.Yet, during all that time, the man they hope to defeat next November has rarely been asked by news reporters about many of these issues. Since August, President Obama has held only one formal White House news conference. That came on Oct. 6, nearly three months ago. It lasted 74 minutes, shorter than any single Republican debate, and the president was asked 17 questions, most of them softballs on the economy and his latest legislative proposals to create jobs.

No questions on immigration, no questions on Iran or Iraq or Afghanistan or Israel or North Korea — global trouble spots the GOP candidates have been queried about repeatedly. Moreover, he was not asked about what spending cuts he would make to reduce the deficit, nothing about Medicare and Social Security reform or his health care law, all familiar questions for the Republicans seeking his job.

Obama’s ability to avoid tough questions, skate above the fray and look presidential while his potential successors appear to be futilely flailing is not by accident. It is by White House design, abetted by a press corps that seems content with being shut out by the president and being spoon-fed the message of the day, rather than clamoring for more chances to ask him questions during this critical time.

Just over the last couple of weeks, several major world events cried out for presidential comment, but little was forthcoming other than a few statements, some of which were attributed not to the president but to administration officials, named and unnamed. Among these events were:

- The Russian elections. It was left to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to publicly question whether they were fraudulent. And while she was clearly speaking for the president, it was Clinton, not Obama, who drew fire from Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, who accused her of encouraging protesters. So as it appears in the news media, Russia is Clinton’s problem, not Obama’s.

- Iran’s recent threat to block oil shipments in the Strait of Hormuz if sanctions are imposed on its oil exports. No word, so far, from the vacationing president. However, an unnamed administration official did accuse Iran of “saber-rattling.”

- The rash of bombings in Iraq, in the wake of the U.S. troop withdrawal there, has not produced a statement from Obama, nor have reporters been able to ask him if he now feels the full draw-down might have been a bit premature. No chance, either, to question the president on recent unrest in Syria.

- The death of North Korean leader Kim Jong Il and what it might mean for U.S. relations with that troubled country has not drawn presidential comment. Clinton, speaking for the administration, said, “We reiterate our hope for improved relations with the people of North Korea.” And White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said the U.S. has “no new concerns” about North Korea’s nuclear arsenal.

In sum, the news we get from the White House is the news that administration press handlers want to give us, much of which provides the president with comfortable distance from foreign policy hot spots. From Hawaii this week, we get nice reports about presidential golf and snorkeling, the release of green sea turtles by the First Family, a visit with U.S. Marines and a baby putting her fingers in the president’s mouth.

No wonder the GOP candidates look so bad. It’s time for reporters to start smoking the president out and call for him, not his surrogates, to answer questions on a regular basis. (RCP)

Not going to happen. The Ministry of Truth (The “Mainstream Media”) is very firmly against it.

The Ministry of Truth in reality serves an opposing purpose to that which its name would imply, being responsible for the falsification of historical events; and yet is aptly named in a deeper sense, in that it creates/manufactures “truth” in the newspeak sense of the word.

The Ministry of Truth is involved with news media, entertainment, the fine arts and educational books. Its purpose is to rewrite history and change the facts to fit Party doctrine for propaganda effect. For example, if Big Brother makes a prediction that turns out to be wrong, the employees of the Ministry of Truth go back and rewrite the prediction so that any prediction Big Brother previously made is accurate. This is the “how” of the Ministry of Truth’s existence. Within the novel (1984) Orwell elaborates that the deeper reason for its existence is to maintain the illusion that the Party is absolute. It cannot ever seem to change its mind (if, for instance, they perform one of their constant changes regarding enemies during war) or make a mistake (firing an official or making a grossly misjudged supply prediction), for that would imply weakness and to maintain power the Party must seem eternally right and strong.

And as 2012 proceeds it will only get worse. Much, Much worse.

After all, as AG Holder said, Lting is “complicated” and their will be no one more “complicated” than Obama and His Ministry of Truth.

Speaking from her paradisical $4 million Hawaii vacation, Mrs. Obama wants to know: Do any of President Obama’s supporters have $3 to spare for his reelection?

Michelle’s request was part of an email sent to the Obama 2012 list today.

Over the next 11 months we’ve got an organization to grow, voters to register, and people to get fired up.

I hope you’ll close out this year by donating $3 or more now to help make sure we’re ready for the next one . . .

Thank you so much, and happy new year,

Michelle

The obscene juxtaposition of the first lady on a $4 million vacation while asking what would have to be middle to low income earners for three bucks – who else would they be targeting with such an appeal? – is yet another example of lack of perspective the Obamas seem to be gaining while in power.

Mrs. Obama takes extravagant vacations to Spain and southern Africa. The president golfs obsessively and is currently dining at Honolulu’s ritziest restaurants. All while asking their fellow Americans to “sacrifice” during this time of not plenty.

And they blow $4 million – mostly taxpayers’ money – on a vacation, while wondering if the small people can come up with $3.

What about renting a beach house next year at the Jersey shore? I mean, if we’re all going to sacrifice.(whitehousedossier.com)

But it’s good to be the King and Queen. And if the peasants want to give tithe to their Lord & Master so much the better.

And make sure the “Royal Messengers” (aka The Media) stay on point.

Political Cartoons by Eric Allie

You do not get to blame anyone else for your own constituents’ woes when you are the incumbent. You are in control; you get to make the rules so that you may revel in the triumphs, but you must also absorb the failures. All of them. No excuses. The blame game is for losers.

But the blame should go where it belongs. Own it. Fix it. Not a very easy thing these days where everyone wants to not be responsible for anything bad and take credit for anything “good”.

It’s someone else’s fault.

PRINCETON, NJ — Americans’ satisfaction with the way things are going in the United States has fallen back to 11%, the lowest level since December 2008 and just four percentage points above the all-time low recorded in October 2008.

1979-2011 Trend: In general, are you satisfied or dissatisfied with the way things are going in the United States at this time?

But don’t worry, it’s all the Republicans Fault. The Liberals Fault. The Tea Party’s Fault. George Bush’s Fault. Big Oil. Corporations. “Rich” people. Anyone but who’s fault it really is.

And you elected them. Because of Ideology or laziness or “I always vote…”

And, of course, the Government is supposed to do everything for you and pay for everything for free… :)

But then you hand over all your power to people who are the ultimate in Narcissists and Control Freaks.

Was that a good idea?

I can’t help but wonder, though, if the real cause of our agita is the decline of American standards, the growing knowledge that we are becoming a nation of underachievers, coddled by our growing nanny state, forgiven for our crimes and taxed for our achievements. Why have we let the meritocracy and free spirit that used to define us become so watered down?

I think our decline began around the time children’s softball games started going un-scored — when we stopped declaring winners, we all became de facto losers. Lowered expectations mirrored lower institutional standards. We froze when we found out that our kids were scoring much worse on math tests than kids in Asian countries, understanding the implication but unable to correct for the disparity. When President Bush established “No Child Left Behind,” union teachers, unable to adequately teach, started helping their students cheat on basic skills tests so that their students would do well and they would keep getting promoted. (and Obama’s Education Department has floated granting waivers for the requirements because they are “too tough”)

It has gotten so bad that there is a movement afoot to promote academic mediocrity by abolishing standardized tests altogether. Some colleges already have “SAT optional” admissions policies. That way, if you can’t compete, you can just blame the test and get away with not even trying.

Really, fellow Americans? We’re going to put limits on how much homework teachers can assign and jettison merit-based testing, but we have the audacity to complain about outsourcing and blame our problems on natural disasters and the global economy? (DC)

Oh, and if you ask then to pay 12% of their benefits (that everyone else has to pay for totally) they’ll riot, take over the capital and want to throw you out of office with the most vile, hateful rhetoric imaginable.

Because they are ENTITLED.

Illegal Aliens Are ENTITLED.

Unions are ENTITLED.

It’s only “fair” that the “poor” are ENTITLED to sponge off everyone else.

We can’t cut Spending because someone is ENTITLED to that money that we are borrowing (40 cents on every dollar) and wracking up 3 million dollars of debt a day.

The Government is ENTITLED to run your life for you, because you’re a screw up and can’t do it correctly yourself. You can’t be trusted.  So they have to do it for you.

I wonder who was in charge of that education…Hmmm..The Government and the Unions perhaps? :)

But no need to worry, Mama Government will save you.

For a Price.

Your Freedom.

Can I have an Order of Fear & Freeloaders, Please…

A Michigan man who won $2 million in a state lottery game continues to collect food stamps 11 months after striking it rich.

And there’s nothing the state can do about it, at least for now.

Leroy Fick, 59, of Auburn won $2 million in the state lottery TV show “Make Me Rich!” last June. But the state’s Department of Human Services determined he was still eligible for food stamps, Fick’s attorney, John Wilson of Midland, said Tuesday.

Eligibility for food stamps is based on gross income and follows federal guidelines; lottery winnings are considered liquid assets and don’t count as income. As long as Fick’s gross income stays below the eligibility requirement for food stamps, he can receive them, even if he has a million dollars in the bank.

Food stamps are paid for through tax dollars and are meant to help support low-income families.

“If you’re going to try to make me feel bad, you’re not going to do it,” Fick told WNEM-TV in Saginaw on Monday.

After all, he’s “entitled”. As I have said before and will say again, Liberals are the greediest, most self-centered because they feel the most entitled to other people’s money.

Oh, and if you disagree with Liberals on this Grandma is going to be thrown off a cliff (that’s coming later on in this blog).

Then there are the frauds. Like AARP.

“I think I’m scheduled to get my AARP card in a couple of years?” President Barack Obama asked today.

“Anytime you want one,” the organization told him. “Platinum.”

Obama at AARP.jpg

The stage was set at AARP, the powerful Washington-based lobby for senior Americans, for Obama to host another “town hall” forum on healthcare reform, where the president allowed that both he and his wife Michelle have “living wills” drafted but hope they don’t have to use them anytime soon.

“If you have insurance that you like, you will be able to keep that insurance,” Obama said of the healthcare reforms that he is pursuing on Capitol Hill. “Nobody is trying to change what works.” (Obama 2009)

They were a massive supporter of ObamaCare.

Now they get a waiver for their MediGap insurance. Their main rival, Medical Advantage gets savaged by ObamaCare.

Effectively, AARP is no longer a senior advocacy group, but just another “evil” “greedy” insurance company. But since they are in bed with Obama and the Liberals, that’s ok.

Their moral outrage is selective.

The Daily Caller has learned that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) rate review rules, which it finalized on Thursday, exempt “Medigap” policy providers, like the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), from oversight when such providers increase payment rates for their supplemental insurance plans.

Insurance providers who aren’t exempt from Obamacare’s rate review rules are required to publicly release and explain some health care payment rate increases.

The AARP is the nation’s biggest seller of Medigap policies, or supplemental healthcare plans that add onto what Medicare won’t cover for seniors. The senior citizens interest group advocated for Obamacare to include an attack on Medigap policies’ biggest competitor, Medicare Advantage.

Though the White House and HHS dismiss allegations of political favoritism when it comes to who’s getting exceptions from the new health care regulations – such as in the recent uproar over the disproportionate number of Obamacare waivers that went to companies in House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s district — Obamacare critics say the mere appearance of the administration helping friends is disturbing.

The appearance of favoritism exists with the new AARP exemptions, too. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Sens. John Kerry, Massachusetts Democrat, and Max Baucus, Montana Democrat, wrote to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius last October asking her not to do what HHS just finalized today – that is exempt Medigap policies from rate increase oversight.underwriter

“While Medicare Advantage premiums are declining, we are hearing disturbing stories from beneficiaries across the country about excessive premium increases for Medigap supplemental insurance policies,” Reid, Baucus and Kerry wrote to Sebelius on Oct. 6.

“For example, some beneficiaries enrolled in the United of Omaha Life Insurance Company will see their Medigap premiums increase by approximately 40 percent between 2010 and 2011,” the letter read. “An increase of this magnitude raises serious concerns about premium-setting practices and rate review procedures in place for Medigap policies.”

Instead of listening to three top Senate Democrats, the Obama administration decided to go ahead anyway with the Medigap exceptions from rate increase reviews.

The AARP was a driving force behind getting Obamacare through Congress, contributing a large sum to the $121 million advertising campaign pushing it, and spending millions more lobbying for it on Capitol Hill.

The senior citizen advocacy organization stands to make huge profits from Medicare Advantage cuts and from the exemptions it will benefit from when it comes to the Medigap plans sold under what AARP CEO A. Barry Rand calls the AARP’s “for-profit side.”

The AARP’s support of Obamacare during the debate over the legislation raised lots of eyebrows nationwide, as President Obama called for $313 billion in cuts to Medicare to push the plan through. Seniors weren’t happy about it, and many ripped AARP representatives at town hall meetings nationwide.

Now, though, it’s clear that the AARP is set to make millions, if not billions, of extra dollars in Medigap plan sales moving forward because they’ve effectively knocked out their biggest competitor, Medicare Advantage, through Obamacare. (DC)

AARP aided and abetted Democrats’ efforts to inflict a disastrous bill on an unwilling public.  They now stand to profit from the resulting law — while simultaneously receiving convenient exemptions from provisions that may hurt their bottom line.  Ed Morrissey pens the appropriate response to this outrageous report:  “If the AARP and the labor unions that backed ObamaCare need waivers from its consequences, then we all do.”  Amen.  I’ll leave you with this delightful AARP/Obama walk down memory lane.  This clip still makes my blood boil:
Update from AARP: “To be clear, AARP is a non-partisan, non-profit organization with a membership. While there are insurance products that carry the AARP name, they are underwritten by insurers such as Delta Dental, UnitedHealth Group, and Aetna and others—not AARP.  We work to ensure those products meet our standards and provide value to our members.

And, NATO is the US so the US didn’t attack Libya…right….. :(
Oh and if you disagree with them, Grandma is going off a cliff…
Democrats continue to try to scare seniors with a new anti-GOP Medicare ad that shows “Grandma” getting thrown off a cliff and then asks, “Is America beautiful without Medicare?”

Welcome to the land of the freeloaders and the home of the depraved. No image captures America’s regressive ethos better than that of 30-year-old Stanley Thornton Jr., self-proclaimed “Adult Baby.” Profiled on a recent National Geographic reality television show, Thornton claims to suffer from a bizarre infantilism that leads him to wear diapers, lounge around in an oversized crib and seek constant coddling.

The nappies may be extreme, but let’s face it: Thornton Jr. — let’s just call him Junior — is a symptom of our Nanny State run amok, not an anomaly.

Junior came to Washington’s attention this week when Oklahoma GOP Sen. Tom Coburn challenged the Social Security Administration to probe into how the baby bottle-guzzling 350-pound man qualified for federal disability benefits. A former security guard, Junior is handy enough to have crafted his own wooden high chair and playpen.

Junior can drive a car and has sense enough not to go out in public in his XXL footie pajamas. Yet, welfare administrators treat him as an incurable dependent. Also collecting taxpayer-subsidized paychecks: Thornton’s adult roommate, a former nurse, who has indulged Thornton’s baby role-playing for the past decade.

Junior, naturally, threw a tantrum when his government teat-sucking was called into question. He wiped his nose and un-balled his fists long enough to type out an e-mail to The Washington Times: “You wanna test how damn serious I am about leaving this world, screw with my check that pays for this apartment and food. Try it. See how serious I am. I don’t care,” Junior threatened. “I have no problem killing myself. Take away the last thing keeping me here, and see what happens. Next time you see me on the news, it will be me in a body bag.”

Not from nowhere has this stubborn, self-destructive sense of entitlement sprung. As I reported last month, a record-breaking 12 million Americans have been added to the federal food stamp rolls over the past two years, and the bloated $6 billion AmeriCorps social justice army has been converted into a publicist corps for the welfare machine.

Just this week, a Michigan man boasted that he’s still collecting food stamps after winning a $2 million government-sponsored lottery prize. “If you’re going to … try to make me feel bad, you aren’t going to do it,” he told a local TV reporter. Embedded in his rebuke is the eternal refrain of the self-esteem-puffed teenager: “You can’t judge me!”

Diana West, author of “The Death of the Grown-Up,” traced the modern abdication of adulthood to the Baby Boomer generation. “The common compass of the past — the urge to grow up and into long pants; to be old enough to dance at the ball (amazingly enough, to the music adults danced to); to assume one’s rights and responsibilities — completely disappeared” after World War II. A culture of behavioral restraint gave way to “anything goes” and morphed into the current generation’s “whatever” attitude.

Look around: Junior’s infantilism is of a piece with the refusal of celebrity mothers Dina Lohan and Tish Cyrus to act like parents — and instead serve as best friends and tattoo parlor pals for their wayward daughters Lindsay and Miley. They’re the kind of women who shop at Forever 21, buy beer for their daughters’ prom parties and give them Botox certificates for high school graduation.

Junior’s penchant for pajamas is of a piece with perpetually stunted Hugh Hefner’s fetish for velvet robes 24/7 and self-indulgent decadence. Junior’s giant playpen is a cringe-inducing symbol of the Farmville-tethered, “funemployed” class of self-gratifiers who continue to live for today and spend like there’s no tomorrow.

Adult Baby Syndrome isn’t an isolated pathology. It’s the new American Way. Or, I should say, the new American Wahhhhh. (Michelle Malkin)

On issue after issue, Republicans are putting forward serious, sober and often politically risky solutions (if sometimes a bit weak kneed) to the nation’s most pressing problems, while Democrats play class-warfare games and stoke the public’s fear.

Oh, and today was supposed to be the end of the world… :)

MOMMY!!!

Political Cartoons by Mike Lester

Am I surprised that the Liberals went and found a Liberal judge in Wisconsin that would override the legislative process because THEY did not like the outcome?

No.

My initial reaction was, “why did it take so long?”.

Was judge-shopping that tough in Wisconsin?  I doubt it.

This is to be expected of Liberals.

The Rule of Law means absolutely nothing to them when they want what they want because they want it.

And that why they go running to mommy, Liberal activist Judges who will rule on the basis if their Liberalism not on the law, when all else fails.

That’s why Sen. Anthony “The Whiner” Weiner is so intent on gettin Justice Clarence Thomas thrown off the Supreme Court or at least recused from the inevitable Obamacare case so that he can tip the balance of the court in his favor.

So what if they are appointed for life and are supposed to be immune from politics.

It’s not like Liberals care. It’s all about THEM, after all!

So when I heard all the whining about it being “forced” on them all that crock all I could shout was “OBAMACARE!!”

But no Liberal was going to listen to that. They wanted that. They are very proud of cramming that down everyone’s throat “against the will of the people”.

And they are so arrogant as to believe it was the will of the people, because after all, the Tea Party and the over 60% disapproval of ObamaCare is not to be taken seriously.

They are just so much better than you. And they know what’s best for you, even if you don’t.

Isn’t that special? :(

Running off to Illnois to try and halt the process didn’t work. So now they have to get a Liberal Activist Judge to do it for them.

Mind you the last time a Liberal complained about an activist judge was when that judge ruled against THEM.

That would be Judge Vinson, in Florida, when he ruled ObamaCare unconstitutional.

You can see how much that stopped the Obamacare freight train.

But now, they get their own activist judge and everything must grind to a halt.

After all, it’s all about THEM.

They are so vastly superior they are entitled to do, say, and legislate anything they want without impediments from the “stupid”. (that’s you and me by the way). :)

So expect more kicking and screaming and whining. It’s what Liberals do best.

The spoiled brat 2 year old’s have had their candy taken away and now it’s time for mommy to file a lawsuit to get those suckers and  Uncle Guido and his Union goons to break their kneecaps!

But don’t worry, it’s the rich who are greedy SOBs… :)

And all those millions of mandatory Union dues aren’t going straight to the Democrats so Democrats can send the largess straight back to the Unions.

Perish the Thought. :)

And as for Obama Care, the darling sweetheart Exorcist baby of the Liberal Left:

Today former Congressman Ernest Istook testified before the House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee about the $105 billion slush fund in advance appropriations liberals tucked inside Obamacare. The $105 billion bypasses the traditional yearly budgeting process and is spread throughout the 2,700 page legislation. It took the Congressional Research Service (CRS) seven months to identify all the disparate funds and it was not until February (11 months after the bill passed) that all of the funds could be totaled up.

It’s a bill that authorizes ahead of time it’s own appropriations. Is that special? :(

And finally, just to let you know how much the Left cares…

A union protest will take place in Washington, D.C., but not to protest federal hypocrisy on the issue of union bargaining rights. It is set for April 4, the 43rd anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King as he was supporting striking sanitation workers in Memphis, Tenn. It will be a shameless attempt to wrap union greed in the mantle of the civil rights struggle.

“April 4 (is) the day on which Martin Luther King Jr. gave his life for the cause of public collective bargaining,” AFL-CIO chief Richard Trumka said in a speech in Washington last Wednesday.

“Join us to make April 4, 2011, a day to stand in solidarity with working people in Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana and dozens of other states where well-funded, right-wing corporate politicians are trying to take away the rights Dr. King gave his life for.”

“Union rights are no different than civil rights,” Labor Secretary Hilda Solis told officials of the Communications Workers of America during a Wisconsin strategy conference call two weeks ago.(IBD)

And I bet they teach it that way in school, too.

Now, isn’t that precious… :(

Do As I Say, Not As I Say!

Political Cartoons by Chuck Asay

What do you think the reaction would be if a white Republican referred to “my people” while defending the KKK in a voter intimidation case?

(Politico) — Attorney General Eric Holder finally got fed up Tuesday with claims that the Justice Department went easy in a voting rights case against members of the New Black Panther Party because they are African American.

Holder’s frustration over the criticism became evident during a House Appropriations subcommittee hearing as Rep. John Culberson (R-Texas) accused the Justice Department of failing to cooperate with a Civil Rights Commission investigation into the handling of the 2008 incident in which Black Panthers in intimidating outfits and wielding a club stood outside a polling place in Philadelphia.

The Attorney General seemed to take personal offense at a comment Culberson read in which former Democratic activist Bartle Bull called the incident the most serious act of voter intimidation he had witnessed in his career.

“Think about that,” Holder said. “When you compare what people endured in the South in the 60s to try to get the right to vote for African Americans, to compare what people subjected to that with what happened in Philadelphia, which was inappropriate. . . . to describe it in those terms I think does a great disservice to people who put their lives on the line for my people,” said Holder, who is black.

But you’re a “racist” if you call him on it. :)

Holder noted that his late sister-in-law, Vivian Malone Jones, helped integrate the University of Alabama.

“To compare that kind of courage, that kind of action, and to say that the Black Panther incident wrong thought it might be somehow is greater in magnitude or is of greater concern to us, historically, I think just flies in the face of history and the facts.,” Holder said with evident exasperation.

So because of that, he and The Black Panthers can do any old damn thing they want. They are all victims of evil crackers after all so you should just lighten up.

So what you need a Liberal to come in a diminish it, and say it’s all be old tosh that means nothing…Rep. Chaka Fattah, a Democrat from Philadelphia, said the Black Panthers “should not have been there.” But he said the GOP was making too much out of a fleeting incident involving a couple of people.”

When Liberals get caught with their hands in the cookie jar they are either a victim or it’s no big deal.

Remember this gem from 2008: Sen Harry Reid– Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid apologized on Saturday for saying the race of Barack Obama – whom he described as a “light skinned” African-American “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one” – would help rather than hurt his eventual presidential bid.

Every Liberal in sight jumped and down and proclaimed his was not a racist and any conclusion other than that was the real problem.

Holder said Reid’s remarks were unfortunate because of the controversy they caused. “I don’t think that there is a prejudiced bone in his body,” Holder told AP.

In 2007, Biden called Obama “the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.”

But remember, when 1 person amongst 100,000 at a Tea Party rally shows up with a questionable sign it’s magnified to represent the entire rally!!

So  just remember, Do as They say, not as They do. :)

More “Civility” and “adult conversation” from the Left’s Mr “tingle up my leg” MSDNC’s Chris Matthews:

What comes to your mind when you hear the following name: Newt Gingrich?

A number of things might come to your mind, depending on your ideology. For MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, it’s “car bomber.”

“He looks like a car bomber,” Matthews said on Wednesday’s edition of his show “Hardball.” “He looks like a car bomber, Clarence. He looks like a car bomber. He has that crazy Mestophalian grin of his. He looks like he loves torturing. Look at the guy. I mean, this is not the face of a president.”

Then in a moment of psychological transference (something Liberals are very skilled at): “You know this car bomber reference is very clear to me,” Matthews said. “I have this notion of a guy. It’s not a car bomber, but this guy, it’s kind of like he loves the attack. It’s kind of like he gets a thrill, Clarence, from going for the opponents midsection and hitting him so hard and getting delight in the attack itself.” (DC)

Gee, that sounds like you Chris… :)

And from the whacky Left- Michael Moore

Yesterday, Michael Moore said that the money of wealthy Americans “isn’t theres, it’s ours,” and is a “national resource.”

“They’re sitting on the money, they’re using it for their own — they’re putting it someplace else with no interest in helping you with your life, with that money. We’ve allowed them to take that. That’s not theirs, that’s a national resource, that’s ours. We all have this — we all benefit from this or we all suffer as a result of not having it,” Michael Moore told Laura Flanders of GRITtv.

“I think we need to go back to taxing these people at the proper rates. They need to — we need to see these jobs as something we some, that we collectively own as Americans and you can’t just steal our jobs and take them someplace else,” Moore concluded. (RP)

Thanks, Comrade Michael. The Liberal Progressive Collective is pleased. Everyone else is scared. Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid!

This is why the wealthy filmmaker has taken the unprecedented step of posting his bank account numbers online so all Americans can have access to the vital national resource that is “our” money. I’m impressed by th… what? He didn’t do that? I would have expected otherwise because he’s usually not hypocritical that way….(Doug Powers)

He is a multi-millionaire himself. But I guess he’s not a “greedy rich” person just just greedy AND rich. :)

Ann Coulter:

For Democrats, the purpose of government is to generously provide jobs for people who otherwise couldn’t be hired — because their skills, attitude or sense of entitlement are considered undesirable in the private sector. And no, I’m not just talking about Barack Obama.

Democrats use taxpayer money to fund a government jobs program, impoverishing the middle class and harming the people allegedly helped by the programs — but creating a vast class of voters who owe their jobs to the Democrats.

This is a system designed to ratchet up costs. Look at the history of every entity where public employees have unionized, and you will find that not only are government workers paid more, but there are also a lot more of them doing a lot less useful work.

There could be two students per class, and the Democrats would still be campaigning for “smaller class size,” so that the government would be required to hire more public school teachers to staff classes with one student. For Democrats, the purpose of public education in this country is not to teach children; it’s to create jobs for “educators.”

Forget the nonsense about working men with dirt under their fingernails, slugging it out at dangerous jobs with a heartless management riding them to get more production at lower wages –- those guys are what liberal journalist Harold Meyerson calls “dead weight.”

We’re talking about government employees, most of whom — when they show up to work at all — sit in comfortable, air-conditioned offices, kick off at 3 p.m., are entitled to endless sick days, personal days and holidays, whose performance can never be evaluated and who retire at age 50. (Again, I’m not focusing just on Barack Obama here.)

Government employees are even worse than welfare layabouts. In a triple-whammy for the taxpayer, they are: (1) hideously expensive, (2) impossible to fire, and (3) doing things you don’t want done at any price.

Hey, guess what? I’m from the government, and I can burn down your garage for $300!

NO! I’M NOT INTERESTED!

OK, fine, I’ll do it for you for $20.

BUT I DON’T WANT MY GARAGE BURNED DOWN AT ANY PRICE!

OK, the guys with the matches and gasoline will be by sometime between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. one day next week….. (and it will cost you triple just ask the GAO)….

When California voters approved Proposition 13 back in 1978, cutting astronomical property taxes 57 percent, the public sector unions went ballistic.

Union bigwig Ron Coleman said, “We’re not going to just lie back and take it.”

John Seferian, vice president of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), said the union should have told politicians: “Hey, we’ll bring the roof down on you.” (Which you have to be a member of the roofers’ union to do.)

Jerry Wurf, president of AFSCME, warned that the union was “prepared for confrontation.”

This would be the same AFSCME that was found in Wisconsin in 1959 who’s current Union head makes nearly a HALF MILLION DOLLARS a year. But he’s not a greedy, evil, rich person either mind you.  And I’m sure in the spirit of Michael Moore he is willing to give not only his money to the “little people” in a grand gesture of collectivism, but he’s willing to stop raping the taxpayers for it.

His solution to the ballooning cost of government employees was … guess? That’s right, it was the same as it always is: Tax the rich.

“Let the big shots pay!” Wurf said. Embodying the hopes and dreams of our Founding Fathers, Wurf said organizing government employees was part of his goal to “remake the economic and political system” in line with the vision of socialist Norman Thomas and the Young People’s Socialist League.

Members of public sector unions see their pensions and benefits the way the Mafia views its “partnership” with a restaurant, as described in the movie “Goodfellas”: “Business bad? F–k you, pay me. Oh, you had a fire? F–k you, pay me. Place got hit by lightning, huh? F–k you, pay me.”

Spoiler alert: When the restaurant owner is unable to pay his mob tribute, they burn the place to the ground.

But government employees aren’t exactly like the mob. At least the Mafia guys have a strong work ethic.

Honor amongst thieves?

All Good Warriors are all Class Warriors!

They are greedy, narcissistic, and entitled but only the “rich” are Evil! And all we need to do to wipe out a $14 Trillion debt is just tax the rich! (but not the Liberal rich like Michael Moore) and they have a poll :) to back it up:

Americans think the United States should raise taxes for the rich to balance the budget, according to a 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair poll released on Monday. (Jan 3,2011- Just before the Republicans were sworn in and took over the House :) )(Huffington Post).

Campus Progressive says the way to solve the deficit is: 1) Tax Wall Street- taxing 0.5 percent of each stock trade- because as we know EVERYONE who trades on Wall Street MUST be filthy rich! (your 401k not included :) )

2) Millionaire’s Tax 3) Estate Tax 4) Property Taxes

Taxes, Taxes, Taxes…. You can solve too much binge spending by making those dirty rotten “rich” people who are mocking you pay through the nose and then rip their brains out through that nose and beat their bank accounts to death with it!!

Just not Liberal “rich” people like Michael Moore. :0

A Liberal said it so it must be true!!! :)
